Cash Bancroft is losing clients right and left because a blackmailer ruined the family’s reputation, which is why he is on the way to the Hamptons for a no work weekend. Cleo Quinn, best friends with and assistant to social media influencer Melody soon to be Bancroft, gets a kick out of bantering with Cash while secretly hoping for true love of her own. One evening, after everyone else goes to bed, Cash and Cleo have a heart-to-heart about their hopes and dreams and thus discover they have more in common than they thought, then their conversation bursts into flames with one kiss. Soon after, she is on her way to Rome to pose as Cash’s fiancée for a few days, and as per usual, the media gets pictures of them at the gala and posts the news to the world.

One of the pivotal scenes has Cash and his brother Finn at Smash Palace, a junkyard that no upscale billionaire Bancroft would ever patronize, but at this point, it becomes his life saver. Another moment of genius from Ali Parker, who continues to create stories that blow me away and leave me wanting more. I absolutely adore straight-laced, measured Cash and wacky, non- traditional Cleo, whose epic story is filled with intrigue, good natured rousting, laughter, incredible vistas, and beautiful, genuine passion. I also love being reconnected with characters from the previous Bancroft Billionaire Brothers series so I can keep up with the ever-burgeoning, close knit family where there is never a dull moment. Ah, so delicious!

I received this book as an ARC reviewer and voluntarily leave my honest opinion.

Cash and Cleo couldn’t seem more different if they tried. He’s serious, controlled, and completely consumed by responsibility, while Cleo brings the sarcasm, spontaneity, and colorful personality that Cash clearly doesn’t know what to do with. Naturally, putting these two together was bound to be entertaining.

I really enjoyed watching their relationship shift from playful clashes and unexpected conversations into something neither of them was prepared for. The fake engagement in Rome added another layer of fun to the story, especially when pretending to be in love starts becoming a little too convincing. But underneath the romance, I loved seeing both of them question the lives they had been settling for and discover what they actually wanted.

Cleo was especially easy to root for. She may appear confident and carefree, but she has her own insecurities to overcome, and seeing her learn to value herself rather than worry about how others see her gave her character more depth. Cash also had some growing to do, and watching him slowly loosen his grip on control made his journey just as enjoyable.

With plenty of family chaos, witty banter, romance, and the wonderful Bancroft family making an appearance, this was another entertaining addition to the series. Cash and Cleo may have started as an unlikely match, but somehow their differences are exactly what made them work. A fun, heartfelt romance with plenty of personality.

I received an ARC of this book and am sharing my honest opinion.

I was absolutely loving this book. Couldn’t put it down. Halfway through Cleo becomes an idiot – she spirals out of control and it is very hard to respect that behavior. She sees herself as strong/confident/with her own dreams and suddenly she panics and tries to walk away. She decides she really needs to support her friend, and squelch her own dreams. She is sacrificing herself for her friend’s happiness – but gradually comes to realize how foolish that is. Then, when she goes shopping in Rome, some saleswomen make her feel terrible, inferior because of her size. She calls her friend Melody who kicks some butt and makes Cleo realize what is important, that she is important. I was going to lower my rating of this book when Cleo became an idiot, but I changed my mind when she finally does something about those terrible feelings. And acts on her own anger at the mistreatment. In the meantime, Cash is also going through some major personality adjustments. Growing up. Learning to put himself first, instead of doing everything he is told. Then, I had the sudden realization that Ali was writing her own autobiography. It is her attempt to let women know that they don’t need to be a size zero to be attractive – and men don’t always see women as they see themselves.

I love the Bancroft brothers and now it's Cash's turn to be bitten by Cupid. Austin is getting married and Cash, is the best man and Cleo, Melody's (Austin's fiance's) best friend and work assistant, is the maid of honor. Melody is a true piece of work, with purple hair, dresses like nobody's business, is sassy and sarcastic as hell and doesn't give a darn what other's think of her. She is also extremely smart and talented and gets on Cash's last nerve. These two are thrown together for the purpose of wedding preparations but also Cash is in need of her assistance with a business crisis affecting the family's company. These two are truly opposites in every way but there is also a sexual draw that is pulling them together. In typical Bancroft Brothers fashion, there are ups and downs, breakups and make ups and the sex is off the charts HOT!!!! I am giving this 5 stars but would rate 4.5 if I could. I highly recommend this book and you will not be disappointed.

Cash is Mr. Uptight. He is all business never relaxes and is so serious all the time. Cleo is just the opposite and nothing like what a Bancroft would fall for. She is sarcastic and has purple hair and wears a ring on almost every finger. These two have been thrown together by family because his brother Austin is getting married to Melody and her best friend is Cleo. They clash from the start but call it truths since he is Austin’s best man and she is the maid of honor. While in the Hamptons on a get away Cleo and Cash are talking and realize they have more in common than they realized. When Cash has to go to Europe to calm some business stuff down, he asks Cleo to pose as his fiancé.
Wonderfully written story that will have you from start to finish. Another 5-star book from this great author. I was honored to receive an arc copy of this book and I am freely leaving an honest review.

Cash and Cleo are nothing alike. He's a stuffy businessman, always wearing suits and doing what needs to be done in the family business. Cleo is a rebel with a purple steak of hair and she is the best assistant her bestie, Melody, needs. These two should not fit together. But when Melody announces she and Austin are having a baby and getting married, something in each of our main characters clicks. They realize they want more from life than the work their doing. What follows is a fun, thoughtful and satisfying romance between two people that end up bringing out the best on each other
This story continues this series, but you didn't need to read them on order for then to make sense. This stands alone on its own just fine. As always, the scenery and character development are wonderful, and the author once again makes us believe in happy endings.

Cash is focused on his business and the troubles they are currently facing and part of that includes presenting the proper image. When he decides to spend the weekend with his family he is drawn to Cleo even though she is unlike everything he thought he wanted. When he needs a pretend fiancé it is the perfect opportunity to spend more time with him.

Cleo is uninhibited both when it comes to her appearance and her personality. What begins as having fun sparring turns into a much deeper connection especially when she pretends to be his fiancé and sees what life could be like.

Despite being opposites Cash and Cleo bring out the best in each. They both have always put the needs of the people they care about first and with each other and now it is their time to go after who and what they want.

4.5 stars!! This is another in the Bancroft Billionaire Brothers series though it can be read as a standalone. Cash is the eldest brother. The one that can be counted on to do his father's bidding and takes care of his other siblings. He is very serious and very alpha. Then there is Cleo who is his soon to be sister in law's assistant. She is loud and a take charge type of girl. She is also the maid of honor, and he is the best man. They are opposites who attract, and Cash can't stop thinking about her. This is also part enemies to lovers' type of read that keeps you engaged though it could have been a bit more concise. Good ending though and was very well written.

I voluntarily wrote this review from reading an advanced copy of this book.

Cleo and Cash are 100% enjoyment! These two are drawn to each other like magnets; but no one would ever match them together! They're so amusing, the playful teasing, joking and aggravating each other is comical! When these two love, they love hard! The business man is so quiet, straight laced and not a smile to be found, laughing is totally out of his wheelhouse! Cleo is just the opposite and she fits in anywhere she goes. Thank you Ali this kept me so entertained, I feel like I know this family so well, I love every minute of visiting with all of them!

I thought this book was really good. Cash and Cleo are such total opposites but they are perfect for each other. I loved seeing the growth and development of their characters over the course of the story. And also getting lots of glimpses into Austin and Melody’s future after their book. (My Real Love Affair) I recommend reading that book before this one. You get a lot of backstory for this book from that one.

I received an advance review copy for free, and am leaving this review voluntarily.

I was hoping this would be the next Bancroft book. We have Cleo and Cash's story. In the last book their bantering was perfect, you could feel the chemistry. Melody and Austin have all their people out to the Hamptons for a weekend. That leads to a late night alone for Cash and Cleo. They get to know each other better. Cleo tells him about her dreams and he lets his guard down. A start of a beautiful relationship. Now they do have some ups and downs to get to their HEA. They each have to get out of their own ways. A must read!!

This oldest Bancroft brother, Cash, takes it upon himself to be the fixer for the family and their businesses. He has met his match with Cleo. This connected book shows another part of this family. There are fantastic characters who are very likable whose lives I enjoy reading about. Cleo was in a previous book. Her character’s personality was expanded and enriched in this book. I couldn’t stop reading their story while being updated on the rest of the family. I am looking forward to reading Finn’s story next 😉!

This review is my opinion and feelings about this book.

Cash Bancroft & Cleo Quinn have clashed since they met.  Cleo is Cash's brother's pregnant fiancee's best friend and maid of honor.  Cash is the 40-year old, oldest billionaire Bancroft brother and completely wrapped up in the family business with absolutely no time for a personal life.  Cleo is outspoken, brash, in-your-face, and unapologetic.  They fall for each other and sparks fly.  It is a lovely book with a great HEA ending.  Everyone will love it!

Another Bancroft bites the dust. I keep falling in love with these characters. I knew this was going to be good. Cash & Cleo clashing with each other hinted their story would be interesting. Their HEA came with trials and discovery. Falling in love in Rome and then parting when things got too real. In the end though love conquered and we finally get HEA at the end of their chaotic love affair.

Be on the lookout for previous characters too!

I loved Cash and Cleo. They are nothing alike and the draw between them was fun to read. She is a hot mess but has a brilliant mind and Cash needs her help. They are thrown together for Austin and Melody's wedding and their path begins. It is a lot of give and take but the sparks are there to which made this such so good. Watching their relationship come together as the story develops.

LOVED this book - Cash and Cleo, what an example of opposites attract. I couldn't put the book down. He's a stuffy businessman, always wearing suits and doing what needs to be done in the family business. Cleo is a rebel with a purple steak of hair and she is the assistant to Melody, about to become Austin (Cash's brother) wife. The banter between the 2 is awesome and these 2 love as hard as they tease each other.

Cash is always helping his brothers find love. This time he picked for himself. He picked Cleo who annoyed him completely, or so he thought. Cash and Cleo get to know each other as Austin and Melody plan their wedding and then have their first baby. Austin, Cash's brother and Melody, Cleo's best friend... See how Cash and Cleo's relationship develops.

I love how creative Cleo is! Different!
But, it doesn't take a lot for her self-image to be squashed!

Cash is dealing with his "inadequacies."
Will he finally put himself first?

Are Cleo and Cash oil and water, or can they meld themselves into something that gels?

We have wonderful banter, steam, and great characters that keep us invested to find out!

So good!

Book 23 in the Bancroft Brothers series. Cash and Cleo are complete opposites. He is a stuffy business man, and she is the complete opposite. They are maid of honor and best man at his brothers wedding.
Sparks fly, and this starts their up and down relationship. Plenty of drama and steamy moments. This installment is just as good as the other books in the Bancroft series.

Gave up at 40%. The story really isn’t about a romance between Chloe and Cash. It’s about Chloe and Melody’s unhealthy codependent friendship and sometimes Cash makes an appearance. At 40% I probably would have finished the book already if the countless paragraphs after paragraphs of Chloe “in her element” “this is what she excels at” “capturing the perfect light and angle” were removed.

Cleo and Cash seen like complete opposites at first glance. But both have insecurities. They come together for a trip to Rome where they pretend to be together. Will fiction become reality? The characters are well written with banter and emotion.

A wonderful romance with two total opposites in Cash and Cleo. Their banter was amazing. He needs a fake fiancee and Cleo becomes it whilst in Rome. I just adored these characters. They have their ups and downs but theirs is a beautiful love story.

Another Bancroft brother bites the dust. This time Cash Bancroft, the oldest brother and Cleo Quinn crash together. He’s the oh so serious brother and she’s best friend and assistant of Cash's future sister in law, Melody. A really great story, it will be a fav.
