This continues the story of Greg, Liam and Chris which began in the free short story, Bonded. This can be downloaded from most platforms for free and I suggest you read that before diving into Bonded 2.
I nearly didn’t read this as at the beginning I was so irate I just didn’t want to continue. This was when Liam has flown home to attend his grandmother’s funeral only to find it was a plot by his evil parents to kidnap him and have his ‘gayness’ taken out of him. Uggh made my blood boil but I plodded on and I eventually got to some happy. In fact there was plenty of happy with this delightful trio. I love how these three balance each other in their loving three way. There was lots of proclamations of love and depth of feeling they had for each other, which I must admit at time did go a little over the top but after the bigotry at the beginning I think it was needed!
This book also introduces Sam and at first I thought we were going to get a four way but then Hunter (lush, lush, LUSH!) entered the picture. In effect this is two books in one as we have the continuation of Greg, Liam and Chris but also a new beginning for FBI agent Sam and Hunter. Usually I don’t like to have more than one romance going on in my head but I was OK with this here.
Overall a book overflowing with love, romance, hotness with a touch of angst and a splash of bigotry thrown in to deliver an involving read. Four stars.
This is an advance reader copy given to me by the author for an honest review. As with all of my review, these are my own opinions.
Basic Plot:
Liam flies home to Mississippi to go to his grandmother’s funeral, only to have his parents commit him against his will for gay conversion. Liam’s partners rush to his rescue bringing in their FBI from Sam Graves.
How will they save Liam and shut down this conversion operation and save others as Sam finds his own love.
Relationship:
This book is really a set of two relationships all revolving around the kidnapping of Liam. This is book two in the Bound in Love series. The relationship of Liam, Chris, and Greg is developed in book one, so don’t expect a lot of relationship development here. What we get in this book for development lies within how Greg and Chris physically and emotionally support Liam through the legal processes.
While this plot continues on, we also get a new relationship flourish with Sam and Hudson. There is a little mystery behind their relationship that should not be spoiled here. We do get to see the beginning of a BDSM relationship here.
Strong Points:
Drama: We got to see a lot of exciting drama in a short book of 203 pages. There is a ton of sex and a lot of external conflict to keep the pace fast.
What Could be Better:
Too Much Sex: This is a short book at 203 pages. So to have so many sex scenes in BOTH sets of relationships made me start skimming.
Too Many Relationships: This goes with the “Too Much Sex”. This felt like at the end of the first book the author had just a bit of relationship development to go, so York added the secondary relationship as filler. So I had no committment to Sam and Hudson’s relationship.
Too Fast into BDSM: I know that in the gay leather community, sex and relationships can move very quickly, so to some degree Sam and Hudson was very believable. But the Sounding that quickly in a relationship? As far as we know, they have not played together, they have no mutual friends within the community to vouch. That does not seem very safe or sane to me.
Does this really happen, even in the south? Listen, I understand that gay conversion is a thing, and I can agree that living in the south gay bashing and religious persecution happens. But I doubt that ADULTS are committed that quickly with the AID of police officers and an entire division. It was laughable and an insult to southerners to stereotype them like this. If the author wanted to talk about this very real gay conversion issue, then they should have made it more realistic.
Conclusions:
We had the happy ever after that I wanted when I started to read. Getting to see Liam, Chris, and Greg again was great. But I would have really rather have spent some time learning about Sam and Hudson if they were going to be characters I was supposed to care about.
But this book felt more like a gay soap-opera rather than any hard-hitting crime drama. So, if you are interested in shallow sex and action with a happy ending, then this is for you.
I wanted to love this, but it felt... rushed. It was bang, bang bag - there all done. There was so much promise with some truly interesting storylines, but it just didn't flow for me.
As we get older we realize things about ourselves that can be shocking. Sam sees the different relationship but the pure love between Greg, Chris and Liam. He realizes though he doesn’t really want two men he is ready to face facts he wants a real relationship. When he meets Hudson he finds out more and more about himself every time they are together. This is a very good story about man finding he likes to give over control at home to someone else. He deals with so much on a daily basis being a leader, he likes to submit and have trust in someone else. I find this highly relatable. This story feels like two books in one since we start out with the ménage of Greg, Chris and Liam with the abduction of Liam by his family. This is where Sam comes in since he is FBI. They all become good friends. Then you have the story of Hudson and Sam’s new relationship. There is a touch of angst and drama with the ongoing story of Liam’s parent’s and Liam’s emotional problems. There is lots and lots of hot sex. Just a little bit too much for me. If you like FBI agents, angst, ménage and a lot of hot man-sex this is definitely for you.
I loved this. I have been waiting for Greg, Liam and Chris to return for ages. I have read the first book Bonded so many times I can recite parts of it, but I was never convinced that Greg would truly cope if everything went wrong, and Ms York has written a wonderfully compelling, but realistic story. This book centres around both Greg, Liam and Chris and around 2 new characters Sam and Hudson. Same has met Chris and the others at the gym and realises that he would love what they have, a true relationship where each party mean so much to the other. But Sam's job is both demanding and time consuming and he has lost more than one prospective partner who doesn't understand the demands of his job. One night he sees Hudson and totally lusts after him, the feeling is mutual and they agree to hook up, but both have to work through personal and work issues before they get their HFN (probably HEA). For Chris, Liam and Greg, their story finishes beautifully, happy together, forever. My only complaint would be a few editing errors when the wrong man's name is put into a sentence so it doesn't make sense, but it didn't detract badly for the whole. 4.75 stars rounded up.
I tried to like this one, I really did. Bonded 1 was so good and I couldn't wait to get my hands on more, but this one just didn't work for me. It stopped, started, jumped in and out of bed, switched over to Samuel, then back to Chris, Greg and Liam so many times that I had a hard time keeping up!
The actual story, Liam's kidnapping and the following events, was the best part of the book. Unfortunately, weighed down as it was by all the relationship hopping, the drama wasn't able to get off the ground and fly. This might have worked better as a trilogy, but as is there are too many storylines packed into one and I felt as if I was reading three different books at the same time. The potential was there but, for me, Bonded 2 never pulled itself together enough to develop a solid rhythm.
I was so excited when I found out that Sara York was going to be giving us some more of Greg, Liam, and Chris. But in this second one we got those three plus the new couple of Chris and Hudson. Chris and Hudson's relationship just about set my kindle on fire. I really liked the way Sara York delved deeper in the Greg, Liam, and Chris as characters. Especially how the trio coped with Liam's crazy parents. That aspect of the story had my jaw dropping with the moves that they pulled. The only real drawback of the story for me was at times things felt a little rushed. I would have liked to see more development and buildup of Chris and Hudson's relationship. I enjoyed the excitement and drama that Liam's family situation brought to the story. It was a nice way of introducing us to Chris and Hudson. I am hoping that we get to see more of Chris and Hudson in the future with maybe a book all of their own.
I loved the two stories in one aspect. The depth of the characters was amazing. I love all her books. The Colorado series is my favorite. Her characters aren't stereotypical. Strong men with real emotions and insecurities. Great job.
When I read the blurb for this book, I knew I recognized those characters from somewhere, so I looked up Bonded (#1) and discovered that I had in fact read the story last year. It was one of the M/M Romance Goodreads group’s 2014 Love’s Landscapes stories. It can be downloaded for free from Amazon. I would really recommend that you read the freebie first, and well, why wouldn’t you? Free…
Liam Muller has some serious issues, issues that can be traced back to his crazy-assed homophobic parents. If not for the intervention of his first love, Greg, he would likely have ended up dead a long time ago and now that the two men have added Chris to their relationship (first story) he feels better about himself than he ever has before. So of course, his parents have to go and fuck it all up for him. They’ve decided that Liam needs some pray the gay away therapy to save him from his life of sin, and they aren’t willing to take no for an answer. Enter, Agent Samuel Graves – FBI.
This story is in some ways quite similar to another book I reviewed a couple of weeks ago. The plot is entirely different, aside from the fact that both had a BDSM element, but both books followed the romance of more than one couple (or threesome) and both books seemed to have a very high sex to plot ratio. But for some reason, while that other story didn’t really work for me, I thoroughly enjoyed this offering from Sara York. And I think the main reason for that, is what was going on in the story while the characters weren’t having sex. I found the plot here was interesting and more eventful than the characters simply interacting with each other. I think if the moments of plot development are going to be mere flashes between bouts of sex (hot sex, mind you) then you have to make them count. Which, in my opinion, is what the author did here.
It also doesn’t hurt that I’m a slave to a good ménage, and I found this one to be of particular interest. This is the first ménage that I’ve read where two of the men actually marry each other and then have a commitment ceremony to include the third. If you asked my view on that before I’d read this then I wouldn’t have hesitated to say that I hate the thought of it. But I absolutely loved that the author sold me on the idea and made it work. One of the things I appreciate most about a book is having the author change my opinion on something, because I can assure you – I am very opinionated and I am extremely stubborn.
The ending felt a little anti climatic but overall I very much enjoyed this book. I hope that this isn’t the end of this series, because I think Sam and Hudson still have so much kink and love to share before their story is finished.
There were many things I liked about this book, a few things I loved about it and one very annoying thing that carried throughout the whole story. I love Sara York’s writing style and how she can draw the reader into the situations at hand, leaving us feeling the emotions of the characters so much we begin craving a happy ending for them. I loved the story of Sam and Hudson as they were refreshing and hot. I did like the commitment and love shown between Greg, Chris and Liam and the beginning of the book was intense and had me hooked. What drove me crazy were Liam’s weakness and his constant need for reassurance, yet he claimed he trusted Chris and Greg.
From the first page you can see where Liam came from. His parents were willing to do whatever it took to turn him from being gay and save their Christian reputation. From Jackson Mississippi, his parents didn’t have a hard time getting the local police involved in “kidnapping” their son and sending him to a facility to fix him. This isn’t the first time they have shown hatred for who he is and he carries the scars on his body and soul from their abuse.
It is because of this kidnapping and the fact Greg and Chris refuse to just leave without him that we meet Sam, a FBI agent who will help set Liam free. Sam also becomes part of the story when he watches the love those three men have for each other and seeks a love of his own. Liam is forced to make a horrible choice between Chris and Greg that will lead us to more of his need for constant reassurance and coddling. Now I know Liam is fragile, he has been through a lot but at some point I just wanted to scream and remind him he has two men who love him, leave the past behind and move forward.
As you go on in the story you will see more of Sam and Hudson’s relationship develop and Liam’s parents not giving up their attempts to make Liam straight. The suspense and emotional part of this plot was great. Greg being the Dom in this relationship gave way to some pretty hot m/m/m scenes and the love those three had for each other was inspiring.
Sara does a wonderful job at bringing those hidden taboos to light in a way that the message hits you before you even see it coming. She shows the pain of having to keep secrets in order to save yourself from death or persecution by society. The author also proved how far some communities has advanced in acceptance of different lifestyles while some backward communities are still stuck in the old way of thinking, that homosexuality is a disease that can be cured with violence, fear and hate. If you are a fan of the m/m/m genre with some emotional angst that will leave you all over the place, then you will enjoy this book.
“‘I love you so much it hurts. I’ve never felt this way about another person in my life. If your parents weren’t being such jerks, I’d marry you, but I’m afraid that if I do, your parents will paint a picture that will not look good in court. There isn’t much they can do. Not really. But that doesn’t mean that some whacked out judge with an ax to grind against gays in general won’t rule against us or you.”
4 stars. Wow what a great continuation of this book. It was definitely a roller coaster ride to read and it was absolutely hot in so many places!!
Liam Muller’s passion for life, mixed with his abusive past created more problems than Greg Peterson could handle on his own. When the pair meet Chris Edwards, everything changes. Both Greg and Chris keep Liam even, but when Liam’s parents plot his kidnapping, Chris and Greg can do nothing to keep him safe without the help of Chris’s new friend, Agent Samuel Graves.

Chris, and Greg fight Liam’s demons after they are reunited, but Liam’s parents won’t give up without a fight. Three men together may challenge people, but Liam, Chris, and Greg will fight to the end for their love.
Book 2 picks up essentially where book 1 leaves off. Liam has travelled to see his parents because he’s been informed his grandma has died. Once there, he realizes that his parents have set him up and have him hauled off to a facility where they intend to “take the gay” out of him. Chris and Greg, are determined to find Liam, no matter what the cost. In walks Sam, another man Chris has met at the gym and has connections. Once they get Liam back, they decide the only way that Liam will ever be safe is if he marries either Chris or Greg. The opt for Chris, given he clean past. But no one realized that Sam would walk in and complicate their entire relationship and Sam never thought that he’d start to fall for these men either. This book is definitely a roller coaster ride of intensity!!! It was definitely hot in some parts as well! Great series!!

Let me start out by saying, you have to read Bonded to get a better grasp on these characters.
Greg, Liam, and Chris make up a very interesting couple (can you call a relationship between three people a couple? I'm not sure, but that is what they are to me so I'm going with it).
It's never easy going from believing one thing all of your life to it being forced upon you in a way you never thought imaginable. The feels this book brings out, really the feels that Sara is able to convey into words is amazing.
This book might not be for everyone, I mean we aren't talking all flowers and roses, no this book will gut you before showing you that even through bad times - there is hope, we just can never lose sight of that.
While reading Bonded 2, it did feel as if it was two stories in one, and I was okay with that - it just took me a bit to come to terms with what I was feeling. Nothing took away from one story or the other, its just like life - what you experience affects those around you - so on and so forth. It was great to see the ripple effect, to get an "outsiders" perspective as to how they saw the relationship between Liam, Greg, and Chris.
There were many times where I wanted to stop reading, my heart hurt for these characters, but I couldn't. I had to know how it ended, and now that it has, I want more. I'm greedy like that, but that's okay - I'll silently (or not, LOL) stalk Sara - I just love her work, and can't wait to see what this amazing author has in store for us next. And, yes I mean that even if it is with new characters, because Sara makes it impossible not to love her guys.
Bonded 2 is the continuation of Liam, Chris and Greg’s story, but the author also brings in two more very strong characters in Sam and Hudson, who I really liked. The author tied everyone in together to make a great story, although I am hoping that we might have one more book with these characters, I feel that there could be more to their stories.
We find that in book two, Liam, Chris, and Greg are going strong in their new relationship and that Liam’s parents are up to no good once again. Liam is called back to his hometown under the assumption that his grandmother has passed away. Little does he know that his parents have a plan set for him to try and make him right again.
Chris and Greg have not heard from Liam and are no worried that something has happened to him. And knowing Liam’s parents and what they have done in the past anything is possible. When they learn that Liam is nowhere to be found Chris enlists the help of FBI Agent Samuel Graves. As Sam hunts for Liam to bring him back to his partners he also takes a look at their relationship and wishes that he has what those three men have and that is love.
As the case of a missing Liam is solved, an even bigger case is handed to Agent Graves who is now paired up with the man he has just met and is trying a relationship with Hudson Radcliff. But can Sam give Hudson the control he desires at home and still work with him? Will Chris and Greg help Liam overcome all of his demons and can they live in peace and be happy?
Five Star Read I was given a complimentary copy in exchange for an honest review.
Liam Muller's past life is full of abuse from parents who can't accept that he is gay. Greg Peterson and Chris Edwardsbtry to keep him on an even keel even though his parents are plotting to have him kidnapped. They can only keep him safe with the help of Agent Samuel Graves. Samuel wants the same commitment and live that Greg,Liam, and Chris have. When he meets Hudson Radcliff he's thrown off balance. Their passion is tested when everyone is put into grave danger. Chris and Greg help Liam fight his demons even though his parents are not giving up without a fight.
Having never read anything by this author before I wasn't sure what to expect going in. Let's just say I I couldn't put this book down. Of course in order to understand the story going on you need to make sure to read book one first. Even though the storyline is fast paced there is enough of a back story being told through out that I didn't get lost at any point. Of course we not only get to see Liam,Greg's and Chris' relationship progress but we also get to see Sam meet and fall in love with Hudson. Quite a few twists and turns I didn't see coming but overall added to the story. The sex scenes were off the charts hot,hot enough I needed a fan to cool off! All in all this is a beautiful story about holding on to what you have even though life will throw some crazy curve balls at you. Reviewed by Heather S. for the Art of Romance
~I was given this book for an honest review~ I must say this before I start, You have to really, really, really comfortable with M/M/M to read this book. What Liam, Chris and Greg is very unique but it works for them. Let's just say Liam's parents aren't happy with this lifestyle. They come up with a plan to change to get him away from them and put him in a chase the gay away camp. During this time, Chris and Greg are trying everything to save him. Enter Sam, a FBI agent who swoops in and saves the day. This book also follows his M/M relationship as well. This book shows you the importance of trust, what can happen when your family is backward crazy and doesn't approve of your lifestyle. The author has a way of writing these characters as if you are going along with them in their troubles. Each character has things they have to work thru like abuse but with the help of the other characters they are able to heal and get stronger from it. I really felt for the characters but admired how determined they were to cover all bases, find healing thru love and bond so much stronger than they ever were before.

Hey Sara you did an amazing job writing this book. Let me start by saying read Bonded before you read Bonded 2 so you can get the background of the story. Bonded 2 is an amazing story that will take you on a very intense rollercoaster ride. It has 3 Hot characters that were meant to be together. They fit together perfect. I don’t see how Greg and Liam could be happy without Chris. It was never time that I felt like one character losing out or neglected. The plot was different which I enjoyed most. I never read or expected a story like this. It has plenty of love, drama, and suspense. Their chemistry was off the charts. I loved how Sara introduced the secondary characters and made them just as hot as the main. This book is a MUST READ!!! I gave this story 4 hot stars. I can’t wait for the next book. Bring it on SARA!
Bonded 2 I think was more intense than Bonded was..... When Greg Liam and Chris meet in Bonded I was like Whoa Baby this is HOT and really is it over and are they happy?? When they come back in Bonded 2 I was in shock to find Liam in chaos and Greg at a loss as to what to do throw Chris in there with his love for both of his men and we have a definite suspenseful book hoping they can save their man and he can survive the drama that has found him...
Now we have 2 new characters to add to the mix Sam and Hudson LOOKOUT cause these two are hot together.... I want to see more of Greg, Liam, and Chris as their lives grow and continue plus definitely more with Sam and Hudson....
This book has fear and love and action and sexy hot guy scenes..... Definitely a MUST READ!!!!!
FiveStars I started reading this book and seemed to be missing something so I read Bonded first and got a lot of back story. This book had hot chemistry, hot sex and a good story. I loved the relationship with Liam, Greg and Chris. They just worked and it felt like I was right there with them. Liam's parent's made my skin crawl and I wanted to reach through my kindle and strangle them! I will say the sub story of Sam and Hudson was super hot too! It was sort of two awesome M/M stories for the price of one! If you like hot sex, chemistry, drama, twisted parents and true love this book is for you.
I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Inked Rainbow Reads.
In this installment of the Bonded Series, we find Liam going home to attend his grandmother's funeral. What happens when he goes home is something else altogether. Finding himself in a bad place, it is up to the loves of his life to save him. Greg and Chris move heaven and Earth to find Liam.
Samuel is tasked at helping the trio. He sees the love that the three have and is extremely jealous of it, but not in a bad way. When he goes for coffee one day, who knew he would meet his match.
I have to say out of the two books, this is by far my favorite. I am wondering if there will be a 3.
What can I say about this book. I felt so sad about Liam I could fill his pain. I know the love Chris fills for him is solid. With Greg's help and his love I know these 3 will find light in this cruel world but will Liam survive what his parents did to him will Chris and Greg's love be enough to ground him. I love this book it was awesome book. Sara York pulled this off it was powerful book she had me from the first book to this one can not wait to see more of these 3 and can not wait for more of Sam and Hudson.
I was intrigued by how two different story lines could come across well in the same book. I was not disappointed though the two stories meshed well they were so intertwined with the police cases. I loved all the men. They had such bonds between them. Each character had so much emotion for the others. It was quite beautiful to witness the strengthening of Liam. But what loonies his parents were. I so enjoyed this book.
It took me a minute, but I did remember reading the first book in this series when it was first released as part of the Goodreads' m/m group's DRITC event. I REALLY enjoyed this follow up, as it went more into the threesome between Liam, Greg, and Chris. And I also really enjoyed the romance between Sam and Hudson. I thought it moved quickly, but it was passionate and steamy. Touch of angst, some drama, lots of sex, and a fun read!
This book grabbed me from the first page, took my emotions by storm, and didn't turn me loose until long after I finished it. I don't get angry at characters very often, but when it came to Liam's parents and their band of lunatics, I ached to open up a major can of whup ass on the whole crew! I can definitely recommend this fantastic story to everyone.
Wow, what a great story. It's great to see the guys again. Greg, Liam and Chris. They are in so much love. Sam finally meets the man of his dreams. A fast paced story filled with love, humor, super sexy men. What more could you ask for. A great read.
I liked the story, but I think Sam and Hudson deserved their own book. Perhaps two parallel novellas may have worked better. Some parts were too sweet, repetitive, or skimmed over. The overall storyline worked well with the previous book and characters.
Fantastic. ....so happy everyone can move on from the horrors of ignorance, be who they are, love who they do and enjoy the love, trust, respect and unconditional love each one shares loved this
