Haunt Me Properly: A Spicy Autumn Rom-Com
I bought a crumbling chapel because it looked perfect in October.
Now the roof leaks over the altar, the furnace has opinions, and my entire business plan depends on selling two hundred seats to an outdoor movie with the historic cemetery next door as the backdrop.
The cemetery's caretaker has opinions too.
Jeb Parker is six-foot-four, tattooed with a map of a town that no longer exists, and personally offended by my posters. He says the people buried there aren't scenery. He says I'm borrowing beauty that isn't mine. He says a lot of things while standing far too close, smelling like cedar and cold air.
Then a guest recognizes him, a video goes viral, and I learn that the man who guards the dead used to die for a living—shirtless, on film, seven times.
Suddenly every ticket is sold. Suddenly strangers are photographing his cottage. And suddenly I have a secret about how that video spread that could cost me the only man who's ever asked what I actually want.

Cora uses her marketing talent to put a positive spin on everything but the picturesque small town chapel is putting all her talent to the test and if she can’t bring in some money fast she may be forced to sell her new home and her dreams.
Then she finds out the hot cemetery caretaker next door is a retired celebrity who wants to forget his past and be left in peace. That’s a hard lesson for Cora to learn but if she’s willing to try then Jeb is patiently willing to teach her the specifics of consent and what can happen when two people allow building passion to burst into flames.
Autumn vibes abound with cool breezes, blowing leaves and plenty of apple cider.

Cora bought a chapel and is in desperate need to bring money to fix it or she might have to sell it. She teams up with the cemetery caretaker who just so happens to be an ex actor who went into hiding after his last movie.
This book is a 4 stars for me. The banter between Cora and Jeb is good. I found myself laughing at some of their dialogue. This book is definitely grumpy meets sunshine. And it definitely is noticeable throughout the whole book.

Cute small town romance about Cora, who buys a chapel that needs a lot of fixing up. Jeb is the graveyard caretaker who gets pulled in to helping Cora keep her chapel going. Story is cute, feels as though there is something missing. However, I did enjoy it. I love how the two come together to piece together the women of Bellwether.
