Note to the author: Uhm, get a better editor? There were so many grammatical errors, my inner Grammar Nazi woke up from its slumber. Seriously though, it was distracting as hell.
Anyway, onto the review. And Holy Hells, this book just pushed the right buttons for me.
Nerd/Jock tandem, check!
Arch-nemesis-to-lovers, check!
Alphamale main characters, check!
A confused alpha switching teams, double check!
Super hot, kinky superhero sex, triple check!
Did I mention the kinky sex? Like superheroes-in-tight-suits-making-out-after-trying-to-kill-each-other kinky?

Yes, yes, and yes! Sexual fantasy unlocked and fulfilled.

Like I mentioned, this book just hit the right buttons for me. The sexual tension between Calder and Patrick was smoking. Doubled every time they suit up as Titan and Apprentice, respectively. Titan is like this cross between Hulk and Thor -- an aggressive and ill-tempered man god. And Apprentice is like Iron Man but geekier, sexier, and less cocky.
However, despite these characters being walking sex on a stick, I think that the author could have done a lot better with the story. There were times when it felt messy and all over the place. It dragged on as well in the middle with little development on the overall plot. The secondary characters were also very confusing. The author just dropped these names the first time -- like Arkley and Jordan, as well as the minor villains without preamble. Honey, I'm not a psychic.
Then again, I'm still looking forward to the sequel as things got a little exciting and a whole lot complicated for Titan and Apprentice in the end. A lot of questions remain unanswered as well which I hope the author will be giving light in the next book. And uh, who says no to kinky intimacy while saving the world? I certainly don't!
