Good debut, loved the dry comments of the FMC. It had Bride vibes. Only negative point was that it took untill almost at the ending for everything to become alright.

I got this book a few days before the release date, so I had to read it fairly quickly. Let's start with the good stuff! I enjoyed the plot, the premise. A werewolf story, but unlike anything I have read before. It's an interesting take on the fated mates troupe. We have our FMC, who is attending her sisters wedding to her ex, and finds herself in a "wolfy" situation. All brought on by a dog, a Maltese, which does not surprise me in the least, as they are the most delinquent dogs I know! Our MMC, the werewolf, is interesting in his own right, because he sees her and his wolf makes the decision that she is his, but he is more reluctant. It takes time for him to understand her, to understand the relationship. Which is interesting because normally it's "mine" and that's it. Our FMC is human, which makes the whole thing wrong. She is not supposed to know about their world, she is not supposed to survive a bite, she is not supposed to live with a mate mark. Yet, she does. So the whole pack, the whole community has to rearrange what they know (very reluctantly!). We have danger, mystery, a conspiracy, politics and a community trying to understand how to live among humans for the first time. Now, onto the stuff I didn't like as much. The writing style is very unique. This is my first book by this author, and she has a very poetic writing style that does not speak to me. You find this a lot in some of the short dramas on social media that are all the rage now. Instead of saying things outright, like normal people, they say things in metaphors, almost riddles. It makes the people sound very emotional and very...mature I guess is the word to use. Going into this book, I was hoping there was going to be more humor, more down to earth characters and storyline. But it was really more emotionally charged. Sentences like "a bowl of pears arranged by someone who believed fruit could apologize for captivity." or "one day you are going to confuse a woman's silence with permission." Seriously, just say F OFF! But I digress. This is very literary, which is fine! It's a very specific way of writing, it's just not for me. I don't like that kind of drama either :) So, for me, it made the reading of this book a bit hard to get through. I just kept thinking, why are you making me think so hard??? All in all, I did enjoy the plot and the twist on the werewolf/fated mate troupe. But I don't think I will read another book by this author, as the writing style just wasn't my cup of tea. And that's OK! 3 stars from me!

This wasn't a romance it was a fight for survival. An accidental mating bond, rival wolf packs, and a murder council are a lot for a human female who knew nothing of the supernatural world. But Cassie made it through with wits, snark, and jokes. Seriously, her banter game is on point. Surprisingly enough, my heart went out the most to Ian, the MMC. It's easy to focus on Cass's side of things at first, but as his story slowly unfolded, my heart went out to the werewolf. Which wasn't hard because, out of everyone, he's the one who really listened to Cassie. Ian appointed himself as her protector, and that means something because Ian is the 'only soft for her' type. The man is dangerous, and I loved it.
Poppy's take on the mating bond was intriguing. Of course, Ian, being the wolf in the situation, feels it right away, but Cass is human and, according to wolf law, never meant for the bite. She was experiencing things as a human who knew nothing about the supernatural. I liked getting what can only be described as a play-by-play of the bond forming in increments on her side. This was the slowest burn because Cassie was PO'd about getting bit. However, slowly but surely, feelings get involved despite the bite and not because of it. Ian is a fantastic MMC. I loved how he treated Cassie and was always checking in with her. The rest of the plot was good. Things moved at a steady pace, and the banter was excellent. I just wish it had a clearer picture of werewolf society.
By the end, there were more emotions than I planned for. That twist was epic and kind of gutted me a little. It was pure anarchy, and by the final chapters the world was on fire. There was screaming, a body count, and feminine rage like you wouldn't believe. Yes, Cassie may have been a weaker MFC, being human in a supernatural world, but she didn't let that stop her. My favorite moment was when she finally let go. It was awesome. Honestly, I can't believe we made it to an HEA. With things going the way they were, I had my doubts, but I loved the ending. The Werewolf's Wrong Mate was a great read.

I’d say this book had a really interesting concept, and while it didn’t completely live up to all of my expectations, there was still a lot that I genuinely enjoyed about it.
One of my favorite things was definitely the author’s writing style. It was full of humor, sarcasm, and some very unusual comparisons that genuinely made me laugh quite a few times while reading. That humor gave the story its own personality and made it feel different from a lot of other werewolf romances I’ve read.
I also really liked Cassie and Ian. They’re the kind of characters you can easily grow attached to, and I especially appreciated how mature they both were. There wasn’t a lot of unnecessary behavior or relationship drama that makes you want to scream at the characters through your Kindle 😂. I genuinely enjoyed them together and found myself rooting for them.
There were a few things I personally would have liked more of, though. The biggest one was the world-building. I found the world interesting, which actually made me want to know more about it and understand how certain things worked.
I also would have loved a little more action throughout the story. Cassie spends quite a bit of time in bed recovering, so there were moments when I felt like not much was happening around her. A few more events or a little more action would have made the story even more engaging for me.
And yes, personally, I wouldn’t have complained about a few more spicy scenes either, but that’s purely down to personal preference.
Overall, the book was an enjoyable and refreshing read. It had lovable characters, plenty of humor, and a writing style that kept me entertained even when the story itself was a little slower than I would have preferred. Despite some of the heavier themes and events, the book still managed to feel fun and different.
I’d definitely recommend giving this one a try, especially if you enjoy werewolf romance with mature characters, humor, and a slightly different feel from the usual.

This is not your normal shifter romance novel. There’s no insta-love or magical mate pull that leads to true love. Instead, this felt like a very realistic story about what might actually happen if a human was bitten and claimed by a werewolf.
As someone who loves shifter romance, it’s safe to say they usually follow the same story arc. However, that wasn’t the case with this story. The author took her time building the story. There are no quick-moving plot points or declarations of love and mates. Rather, this story marinates and simmers on low the entire time, giving the reader time to fully grasp the ramifications of what is happening.
Because the author didn’t rush the story, we’re given time to understand all the nuances of the characters. They aren’t simply one-dimensional, and while we do get Cassie and Ian’s POVs, the author doesn’t expect us to know everything at once, just like Cassie doesn’t know everything at once. This allows the story to build, layer by layer.
I really enjoyed the author’s raw style of writing. There were no paragraphs waxing poetic about the MMC’s physical appearance or lengthy descriptions of every tiny detail. The writing felt straightforward and focused on the story rather than dressing everything up.
I also enjoyed how the author managed to incorporate humor throughout the book. Between Cassie and her knack for using sarcasm as armor and Sava’s complete lack of concern for who she pisses off, I found myself smiling a lot throughout the book. Especially when Cassie and Sava would bounce their sarcasm off each other.
This is the first time I’ve read this author’s work, but it definitely won’t be the last. She took something that has been done hundreds, if not thousands, of times and created something completely her own.
I enjoyed every minute of this book. I found myself staying up late at night to read, then picking it up first thing in the morning before I even started my day.

Thank you for the ARC I received in exchange for my honest review.
My Rating: 4.5*, maybe it would lean more to 4 but it a lot depends on what you are expecting.
For me, this felt like a 2000s rom-com with a supernatural twist — and I had so much fun with it! I surprised myself with how interested I was in the story, considering I was always Team Edward and I’m really not that familiar with werewolf romance.
The vibe
It was fun, quirky, and didn’t take itself too seriously. I finished it in only a few sittings. There are characters you hate, characters you are still trying to get, and characters you absolutely love.
Aunt Linda, I raise my glass to you. Please don’t get prosecuted. 🥂
I could really relate to Cassie and the way she always has a comeback ready, with sarcasm being her defence mechanism. Some might find it a little much, but honestly, spend enough time in the corporate world, and it makes perfect sense. 🤣 Her family dynamics also made it easy to understand how she became the person she is.
Ian took me a little longer to connect with. At times, he gave me very strong Twilight “I’m doing something because it’s better for you, even though I’ve decided that entirely by myself” vibes. 😂 But I really enjoyed watching Cassie and Ian slowly get to know each other.
What worked for me
The characters’ emotions were portrayed really well. I especially enjoyed the way feelings, little touches, and their growing connection were described. Those quieter moments were actually some of my favourites and made the relationship feel sweet and kept me invested.
But I approached this as a paranormal rom-com rather than a serious story about werewolf politics. From that perspective, it was such an entertaining and easy read.
Quirky banter and the female characters delivered A LOT of it. I was giggling at the comebacks.
What made me raise an eyebrow
The story sometimes left me with questions. How long was this weekend?! 😂 What exactly were we doing here? Where did certain people disappear? The pacing also felt a little uneven. Some parts felt more extended than they needed to be, while others — especially some of the bigger moments — seemed to rush by before I had enough time to really understand what was happening. And no matter how much I like the smut. The intimacy scenes didn’t completely work for me personaly.
My final feeling
If I focused too closely on every little detail, I could find things that bothered me. But if you go into this expecting a fun, quirky paranormal rom-com, I think you’re going to have a good time.
Was it perfect? No. Did it entertain me and make me want to keep reading? Absolutely.
Sometimes the overall feeling wins — and this one left me smiling.
Spice level: 🌶️🌶️🌶️ Few quite intimate scenes
Oh and there is a lot of blood and gore in this book, be mindful of that.
And on a personal note, this was also my first-ever ARC, so this experience will always be a special one for me. ❤️ Thank you to the author for trusting me with her story!

This book was such a fun read. It was really addictive reading. It caught me by surprise, in a very good way, as it wasn't your typical shifter romance. This book took a few of the typical tropes and put a really original/unique twist on them. This meant it wasn't predictable and I was never sure which way the story was going to unfold.
I loved the whole premise of the story with Cassie having to attend her sister’s wedding to her ex in this idyllic island setting! Then as if that wasn't bad enough, she then quite literally stumbles/falls into a whole hidden werewolf community. She interrupts a sacred ceremony that sets off a whole series of domino effects. There is intrigue, suspense, betrayals and a sprinkle of 'who dunnit' that keep the plot moving and kept me onthe dge of my seat at times. There are also some fantastic light, funny parts that had me chuckling away to myself.
I loved the mix of characters - they had real personality and depth. The dynamics between Cassie and Ian were really well written and I enjoyed the tension and chemistry that built up.The banter between the characters is fantastic - so funny andfull of heart. Aunt Linda is a firm favourite. Loved the interactions between Cassie and Sava too.
This was just such a fun, compelling read. I absolutely loved it. Highly recommend 💙
Huge thanks to Poppy L'amour for the privilege of reading an advanced copy. All thoughts and opinions are entirely my own and voluntarily given.

Casie flies into a beautiful luxury resort to attend her sister's wedding. TO HER EX!!! And she has to be a bridesmaid! You would think that would be the worst thing to happen to someone at their EX's wedding, right??
While chasing after an escaped ring bearer, aka her sister's dog, Cassie interrupts a werewolf bonding ritual. And Ian's wolf makes a decision no one expected...
First, I would formally like to petition to adopt Aunt Linda! She was absolutely hilarious and so supportive of Cassie. Everyone needs an 'Aunt Linda' in their life.
I also enjoyed the fact that our heroine was not a teenager. She was a 30-plus adult woman! She also had a wonderful sarcastic sense of humor that I really enjoyed as well.
It was also a different and interesting take on the concept of mates that I really enjoyed. It wasn't an insta love. It was two people having to grow and learn about one another, which was really well done considering this was a standalone.
However, at times, the style of writing was a little repetitive. It seemed to throw the pacing off a little.
Overall, this was a wonderful standalone, and I really enjoyed it. I'm also secretly hoping that Aunt Linda ( and her wolf) gets her own story!!!🤞

Werewolves and a wedding.
So I will admit I enjoyed this for the most part ...but some of the language and conversational writing didn't gel for me* either way I like the premise of the story.
A summary of the story is basically Cassie's younger sister cheated with her ex, and now they are getting married (said ex is basically a narcissistic asshole who is spending the wedding weekend trying to make her look crazy, while flirting with her beyond others hearing.) And now Cassie has to survive the nuptials trapped on a fancy island resort.
But between avoiding her ex, navigating her mother's determined need for everything to appear normal, and her father's quiet support – Cassie has to keep it together. But when her sister's dog escapes into the off-limits zone of the resort, she finds herself in the midst of a werewolf ritual. A ritual that she's not only interrupted, but has unceremoniously become a part of.
While chasing the little white dog across a strange circle she finds herself an unwitting bride who is bitten and bonded to a huge unpredictable werewolf Named Ian. Can Cassie and Ian make it to the end of the wedding weekend with their hearts and lives intact? Or will the werewolf council's need for secrecy/ alliances keep them apart when the bond is determined to thrive? (Even though it's basically killing Cassie because she's a human)

Poppy thank you for allowing me to read the advanced copy!!!
This werewolf story is not the traditional story. It does not follow the normal lore. Poppy takes you on an adventure into what life would look like if a human became a mate to a werewolf.
Here enters Cassie she is sassy and strong. Her weapon of choice to get through life is sarcasm and she weilds it well. Ian our werewolf enforcer is strong and brooding. He makes choices for Cassie because he thinks it is the right thing to do. He has extreme guilt due to putting Cassie through the mate bond. I truly love watching their bond grow and their love develop. The politics of their love is also very interesting. Since no human has ever survived the mate bond before.
This book will make you laugh out loud and feel all of the emotions. It is so easy to connect with the characters. What I love most about this book is seeing how those who are bound to duty from their families finally know what love actually is.
This book does not disappoint. It is very easy to read.
Trigger warning:
There is blood and gore
Spice level: 3 on a 5 scale rating.
Poppy you will make every human dream more about being a mate to a werewolf!

Banter that is the word I'd use to describe the dialogue. Especially when it came to the FMC. She was witty and sassy. Her clap backs where chefs kiss. The volleying back and forth kept me hooked. Never really knew what she would say
Than the MMC the epitome of I can fix him. However she actually does. The MMC has no real identity. He was raised to take orders not ever thinking of himself. The amount of times I cried is a little bit embarrassing. There was just that much packed into their interactions.
I can honestly say I had zero clue how it was going to end. There was nothing predictable about it. All the pieces were there but fragile at best with uncertainty. As I previously mentioned I was captivated.
The spice was mid maybe 2.5 - 3 but when the spicy happened oh good heavens. The level of detail was inspiring. Immersive to say the least.
Simply put this was a dark paranormal romance about to 2 people who always came second to everyone else. I wouldn't say enemies to lover per say. Let's go with flirtatious hostility to domestic tranquility.
Lastly this book was gifted to me but I am under no obligation to leave this review.

This book gets 4.5 stars from me.......
Ok, so we have Cassie, a sister who is getting married and a lot of "pleasing" the family to make things go the way they should......
There is a fluffy dog that likes to cause issues
An ex that likes to use manipulation to get his way
A mom that wants everything to go how she wants
A dad that is there to support both his children
An aunt that has humor and is thirsty.........
What can go wrong when the dog goes for a joy ride??? Someone gets bit... then comes the fun
Taken hostage in a way, will something occur that causes issues. Of course it does.... Lots of things go sideways. The truth behind what occurs comes to play. How manipulation occur with characters comes to play......
Banter is high (which is fantastic)
Love will find a way... but who will find love??? you need to read it to find out.
Just come enjoy the "what is going to happen" story and joy this cute HEA
Thank you to the author for allowing me to read this book early. I enjoyed it.

Such a fun read! I was not familiar with this author but let me tell you I will be reading her other books now. The Werewolf's Wrong Mate grabbed me from the beginning and I couldn't put it down. Why? Well, let me tell you how much I love Cassie our FMC, her attitude, sarcasm, and her independence. Wow how she gets put through the wringer with this unexpected bond. I loved the fact that it wasn't an instant "oh we are now bound so we are in love" like you see in some books. Seeing Ian and Cassie come to terms with the bond and trying to determine their feelings vs bond was so very satisfying to me. And the snark! The snarkiness in this book was amazing, I loved all the wit and banter and I fell in love with the side characters of Aunt Linda, Sava, Cormack and of course the fluffy menace Henry! I would love a follow-up book continuing their journeys please. This was 5.0 star read for me personally, I was fortunate to have read this as an ARC and this review is my honest and unbiased opinion. I highly recommend this book!!

Imagine going to your sister's destination wedding where your mother tells you to "be the bigger person" because she is marrying your narrsistic ex-boyfriend. Oh, and you accidentally fall into a mating ceremony which bonds you to a werewolf! That's what happens to the FMC, Cassie, in this PNR.
Cassie and Ian must fight for their lives and each other while the old werewolf laws and council dispute their bond. This is not an instalove situation like a lot of fated mate stories, the burn is so achingly slow. Their chemistry is undeniable but there is so much going on that it is hard for them to focus on the feelings they have for each other. What things are going on? You'll have to read to find out.
The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 stars, was that the book had a VERY slow start. Don't give up. The book is worth reading!
Overall Rating: 4/5
Spice Rating: 2/5
Tropes: Paranormal Romance, Monster Romance, Werewolf/Shifter, Dark Romance, Fated Mates, Accidental Mate Bond, Primal Chase, Slow Burn

I could tell this would fall into the insta-love category when HALFWAY through the book, there was still no relationship or romantic development, but a snarky 38 yr old heroine and a werewolf who didn't quite own his badass-ism. What a shame!! The blurb and cover did a better job selling this book than the actual writing itself.
Maybe I'm more of a traditional werewolf romance reader lol (refer to Kresley Cole, Gena Showalter etc), I found myself bored...the heroine was also....NOT very likeable even if she made comical and logical sense most of the time. I can appreciate a headstrong heroine who is assertive but also knows when to back down. Also, the MMC while possessive and protective didn't seem my type at all. He was a Golden Retriever in disguise.
OVERALL I WAS BORED. Plot - meh. Characters? Debatable likeability, totally unforgettable. Romance? What romance? Personally, I like a good build up, and when there's insta-lovey elements in the story, I'm out of here.

The Werewolf’s Wrong Mate was such a fun, spicy and exciting paranormal romance. It had werewolves, mystery, danger, family drama, plenty of humor and so much chemistry. Basically, it had everything I needed to keep me entertained!
I loved Cassie’s sarcasm and determination but Ian was definitely one of my favorite parts of the story. He was dangerous, protective and possessive, while also being incredibly respectful of Cassie. He listened to her, respected her boundaries and always made sure her choices remained her own. Honestly, everyone needs an Ian in their lives!
I also appreciated that the story didn’t ignore the difficult circumstances surrounding their connection. It gave their relationship more emotional depth and made the development of trust between them feel much more meaningful.
The supporting characters made the story even better. Aunt Linda was hilarious, completely unfiltered and easily one of my favorites. And of course, tiny Henry stole every scene he was in. That little dog brought so much personality and chaos to the story and I absolutely loved him.
At its heart, this was a romance built around respect, trust and choice. Ian and Cassie were perfect for each other, even if she was technically the “wrong” mate. Definitely another five star read for me!

Arc reader here giving a voluntary review.
I give this book 5 stars!
Favorite characters: Cassie, Ian, Henry, Cassie’s aunt, and Cassie’s dad
Favorite quote: “No. We divorced because she alphabetized my spices during an argument and told me I was just like paprika, which I still don’t understand.”
Review: This book made me laugh, cry, swoon, and rage. I truly did not want to put the book down. I had to force myself to go to bed last night instead of finishing it and then as soon as I woke up, I finished the book. This was a breath of fresh air in the werewolf universe. Cassie was strong and determined. She didn’t bow down just because she was scared or surrounded by wolves. Ian wasn’t forceful and cared, while also being full of turmoil. The characters weren’t just one note and I loved them! The humor of the main fmc, her dad, and aunt, I loved for! If you want a truly good werewolf story, I highly highly recommend this book! I already want to read this again.

‘Aunt Linda shouted in the background that she had “found a candlestick with promise” …’
I think Aunt Linda was my favorite character. Like if I had an Aunt Linda I’d be set for life.
There was a lot of witty banter, a fate gone sideways, and two MCs who, in the end, fought for each other when they had just met. Their meet-cute was very (not) cute. 🫣
I do believe the in between was a bit slow, but the build up towards the pinnacle gave me the ability to imagine both the character’s feelings, their non-feelings, and the situations all as a scene in my head. Now that’s what I call descriptive writing!
Tropes to expect:
🍾 Wedding party gone wild
⛓️💥 Questionable bonds
🏝️ Island fun
🐺 Growling “Touch her and die” MMC
💁🏼♀️ Humorous FMC
🗣️ Family drama
🛡️ Hunting for the bond
📖 Standalone
🌶️🌶️ Spice

⭐️⭐️📖ARC Review!!!!📖⭐️⭐️
Cute book. Hilarious banter, great energy from FMC. Definitely not the “werewolf found human mate” story you usually read. But it was great.
Cassie is used to taking the back seat in every situation. You can tell she loves her family, but definitely gets shoved aside by her mom and sister. Love that her dad and aunt ,though quietly, have her back. Cassie uses humor as a way of lightening truth and pain.
Ian is so used to being used. He feels like his only use is to be a weapon for his alpha. When things go “wrong” he is ready to embrace it even though he is being told he can’t have it.
Cassie and Ian together is a beautiful change. Cassie learns she needs to trust and Ian needs to learn he deserves love.
Meanwhile Aunt Linda is the Aunt we all want in our lives and our corner for every situation. Love Aunt Linda.

The Werewolf’s Wrong Mate was a fun and surprisingly mature paranormal romance.
The entire story takes place over just one week, which made the romance feel very fast-paced. What I really enjoyed was the heroine. She was genuinely funny, with some great one-liners and comebacks, and she felt refreshingly grown-up. She’s older, confident and secure in herself. No tiny, innocent girl who suddenly forgets how to speak because a hot man walks into the room. Thank you 😂
The chemistry was good, the banter worked really well, and I liked that the book felt more mature while still being light and entertaining.
And the epilogue six weeks later gave me the HEA I wanted, which definitely helped.
A funny, spicy and mature fated-mates romance with a heroine I really liked.
- Cheating: ex and baby-sister is getting married
- Drama: no need for jealousy between the couple

Cassie is our human FMC and is in a very uncomfortable situation. She is attending the wedding of her sister and ex. An escaped dog later, she is thrown into a world that is completely foreign to her. This is not your typical human and werewolf story. The bite does not come from the type of romance that I've encountered in a lot of werewolf books. It's a lot like true life where the whole situation is complicated. Throughout the story Cassie remains strong willed and incredibly sassy. I love the way that she stands up for herself. The interactions between Cassie and the doctor are hilarious. I love the relationship Cassie has with her father and Cassie's Aunt Linda is a great woman. The intrigue was top notch as well. This book had romance, drama, snark, and a great deal of action. It will definitely be a re-read for me.

Do you have a job? Deadlines? Little people who rely on you to feed and care for them?
Then this book might not be for you, because it’s a fun time and BIG distraction!
This was an easy breezy read with a refreshingly mature FMC (38!!!) and a MMC that I enjoyed.
The banter was lovely, the story what was fun - I was committed and enjoyed the ride.
The only down side, while I loved the banter and Cassie’s witty quips, I grew tired of the extended sentence structure by the end. The whole ‘Grant appeared behind her, pale and shaking, clutching one of the broken zip ties like it was evidence in a lawsuit he intended to file with God.’ Like do we need add on to every sentence? It became tiring…but this is very much personal preference.
The spice was 2/5, there but not graphic. Some imagination required.
Overall a good read, easy ride, cute rom com vibes.

The werewolves wrong mate is a completley new take on the supernatural world of werewolves. One where humans do not about werewolves and if they ever found out they are no longer allowed to live let alone be a wolf's mate. The story takes a more realistic view of werewolves and their way of living. At first I didnt know if I would like this story with it being such a different take but the author proved me wrong and had me gripped and wondering what will happen to the characters as well solving a mystery alongside it. This book had everything, romance, intrigue, action, humor and a character you wanted to punch. I highly recommend giving this book a chance and enjoy a new take on the werewolf world.

The Werewolf's Wrong Mate is a supernatural romance.
Cassie literally falls into something she shouldn't have. This causes a chain reaction and a lot of interesting moments. Throughout the story, I could feel the love she had from her father, but her mother and sister were kind of horrible. They don't do anything too horrific, but everyone just seems to write off Cassie as a flake and doesn't really think too deeply about her. However, Ian does show love and care towards Cassie. They were both thrown into this arrangement, not of their choosing. However, they make the best of it that they can. He was always looking out for what was best for Cassie and I appreciated how someone put her first for a change. It had some action packed moments near the end which made for a thrilling ending.

It must be hard going to your sister’s wedding when she’s marrying your cheating ex-boyfriend.
But Cassie is made of stern stuff - she makes it to the island and plans to attend the wedding in a civilised manner.
Clearly plans do go awry.
She didn’t plan on chasing her sister’s dog through a restricted area on the island. Not did she plan on gate-crashing a werewolf mating ceremony not being bitten by a werewolf and becoming his mate.
This is not a typical werewolf story and the mixture of humans and werewolves and how they come to terms with one another is brutal, funny and endearing.
Ian (strange name for a wolf) is so compassionate with Cassie, that I couldn’t help but root for his redemption in this.
A great story.

Even though the bond was not chosen beforehand Ian’s wolf knew immediately that she was his.
Cassie knew nothing about his world and was only trying to survive her sisters wedding to her narcissistic ex when she was suddenly bitten, bonded and expected to die. As the mate bond settles she discovers Ian to be caring and kind, not the monster everyone else sees in the pack enforcer. Now she just has to survive the rest of the pack wanting her dead.
A phenomenal werewolf tale with the mate bond pulling them closer and letting them truly get to know each other. As well as possessiveness, werewolf trials and snarky commentary, this book is exciting, sweet and humorous.

The Werewolf’s Wrong Mate
I absolutely adored this book from start to finish!! Cassie is strong and resilient! Aunt Linda is outspoken and not ashamed!
The story line starts off with wedding guests arriving at a beautiful resort. Cassie who is a bridesmaid for her sister who is marrying her ex. Yup you read that right!!! Mom wants Cassie to hold her composer for her sisters big day and not ruin it. While dad and Aunt Linda don’t think she needs to endure such drama. Cute little Henry takes off to the off limits side of the resort, Cassie chases after him and falls right into a Werewolf mating ritual…..
Adding this gem to my favorites!!!

I want to first start by saying that I received this as an ARC copy from the author.
Next, if I could, I would rate this about 4.5 ⭐️. I absolutely loved all the back and forth banter between Cassie and the other characters. I also loved how she was confident in not taking anyone’s BS. This is NOT a typical shifter romance and is not an instantly in love situation! The reason behind the 4.5 is because I feel that some scenes were stretched out and the important ones were a little more faster, for me I would have preferred the other way around but that’s ok because it worked really well the way it is anyway!

I thought I was walking into a werewolf romcom, but this ended up being so much more than that. Yes there is humor (shout out to Aunt Linda and my favorite menace Henry), but the relationship progression between our human Cassie and our tormented, morally gray werewolf Ian is just about perfect. This is such a cool world with a deep dive into pack to pack politics and pack to human interactions. You'll love Cassie, she's no pushover, and you'll equally love Ian as he morphs from pack tool to what he's always meant to be. I loved this book, and I bet you will to, it was such a great surprise! Thank you to the author for the gift of an early copy for my honest opinions.

This book is so so so good, from the first page I was more than hooked. I was quite irritated that I started reading this right before I had to work. I could barely bring myself to put it down.
I love that the main FMC is older and super sassy. I love that she has support from more than one character in the story. She isn't left alone to deal with her issues.
Aunt Linda is my favorite. Everyone in life needs and deserves an Aunt Linda in their corner. This Author knows how to create characters!
One of the best werewolf romances that I have ever read. Seriously-sooooooo great!
