I love adventure books , hiking , camping , great outdoors , nature ...and this book has it all , I love Michael's personality , you can't help but like this guy , he is a real man who loves to kayak in the ice oceans of Alaska , and mush in the out back , his imagery and insight is so profound you feel like you are there with him every step of the way ... this is one of the best hiking , outdoors , adventure book i have read since Woodswoman series and a walk thru the woods .
if your an avid outdoorsman , hiker , camper , wanderer , then you know the books that titillate your senses and translate you to place remote , beautiful and only a few who dare to wander there get to see , I loved this book so much , I would read it again ...
