Oh my GOSH the illustrations throughout this book are STUNNINGGG. I can’t tell whether I want to eat them or whether I want jacks to eat me 😋🍎.

Can't even blame her for that cause same. I too, would like all of my endings to involve Jacks 😌

The illustrations are so pretty. It was so good to be back in this world 🥹🥹 The whimsy aura had me feeling cozy. And I adore Eva and how much light and genuine humanity she brings to the table. But seeing Jacks back in his flirty, protective, cocky demeanor was everything. I love them 😩😩 I wanted more of their love. It's not enough, never enough with these two 😭

But coming to why it's also not getting a full five stars from me. I do think that things happened a little too conveniently. It read a little too easy for me. And imo the lore had the potential to be expanded more and not be so rushed.

Now I would like LaLa and Chaos' book like yesterday, thank you. I've been waiting and manifesting a spin off for Chaos for YEARSSS 😤😤

I sat there for a moment, took a deep breath, and then quite literally screamed out loud "JAAAAACKS IS COMMMINGGG BAAAAACKCKCKCKCKCKKKKK!!!". True story by the way, my mom gave me a dirty look but it just had to be said. And so the countdown began, every day I would look at my calendar and count the days one by one until FINALLY, IT GOT RELEASED. And when I had the book in my hands at last it felt like an achievement. IT FELT LIKE I WON A GRAMMY. And let me just say the moment I opened up the book and saw the ARTWORK IN THIS? Oh honey I fell to the floor like an apple falling from a tree. I was dead by the amazing sight of our pretty boy jacks fanart on EVERY DAMN CHAPTER PAGE. That alone is 5 stars, and also a reason for me to commit a kidnapping.

Absolutely- hold a minute. ✋🏻 While in theory, I adored this book and its cute lil plot that it had going on, I JUST HAVE TO SAY. I AM STILL NOT SATISFIED. BECAUSE WWWHYYYYY is Eva and Jacks relationship always giving its complicated vibes. LIKE I JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY WE COULDN'T HAVE THIS NOVELLA ENTIRELY ABOUT THEM WITH NO PROBLEMS HAPPENING UGGHH 😩 And not to spoil anything, but while we did have a ton of cute scenes between them I just felt like the drama that was added into this was realllllly not needed. AND I MEAN I GET IT, We had to have some kind of quick drama for a novella and to tie it into the next books she's gonna make, BUT WHYYYY DID WE HAVE TO HAVE EVA AND JACKS INTO IT?? Because I felt like the drama added was mainly for the storyline that is going to happen between LaLa and Chaos (and don't get me wrong im so excited for that 🤑) It also was kinda easy and wasn't some drastic big drama that would have entertained me 😀 ALSO IT ENDED TOO EASILY LIKE CMON, IF YOU ARE GONNA ADD DRAMA MAKE IT BIG! But yea, I would have just wanted my pure fluff 200 pages of them having a picnic instead of some mediocre school play drama, but that is just me 🙂 ALSO WHY IS JACKS BEING A SWEETHEART NOW?? WHAT HAPPENED TO HIS EDGY EXTERIOR?? I loved that we got a little sneak peak at their daily life because that is always fun as a nosy individual like myself. (EVEN THO THAT SHOULD BE MEEEEEEE WITH JACKS 🙂) But can we take a moment to acknowledge that chemistry I smell brewing in the backrooms with LaLa and Chaos?? BECAUSE IF YOU LOVE THEM THEN YOU GOTTA READ THIS BOOK FOR THEIR SCENEEESSS 😩 I smell another hottie crush coming up that Jacks might have to compete with 👀 CHAOS LOWK IS SUCH A BADDIE IF IM BEING FOR REAL, and I mean he met his match because LaLa is just BADASS. I literally can picture it now, them getting together and him confessing first because LaLa can't break her ego. AHHH I smell it, it's happening, ITS BREWING. This book was super cute and fun! Also a quick read. It is worth it if you adore the series like me and want some extra spice and drama. (AND ALSO TO GET SOME INTEL ON CHAOS AND LALA 😋) But it is not something you HAVE to read if you already finished the series. Overall pretty cute lil novella, now I am off to steal some vampires and certain people that have names that start with J.

ㅤ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ I genuinely do not think there will ever be another fictional couple who will be as dear to me as Evangeline and Jacks. They hold such a precious place in my heart, and everything about them feels so unbelievably beautiful, sweet, and gorgeous. They are, without a doubt, my definition of true love, and I genuinely do not think I will ever be over them.

ㅤ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ And because of how deeply I love them, this series has become such a treasure to me as well. Just like little kids have their favourite stories and fairytales they want to hear over and over again, this is my own fairytale. One I never want to grow out of, and never want to part from.

ㅤ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ Small edit (because it is so damn funny): all the Tella fans rage-rating this 1 star and invoking God for some reason, i see you all and you are all funny af 😭😭 this might not be perfect, but at least it won't be as bad as Spectacular so all is good.

ㅤ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ⋅ ☾ This was definitely a book for those of us who came to love these characters and their story on such a deep level. It was the perfect continuation of a love story I had already grown so attached to. And if ACFTL left you wondering whether that was really it in terms of adventures for these two, this book makes it very clear that being happily in love was definitely NOT the end of their story. Their lives are still going to be filled with so many intriguing and fascinating new experiences, and, most importantly, they will FINALLY get to experience them together.

ㅤ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ⋅ ☾ The illustrations are absolutely WONDERFUL. Lotusbubble is such an incredible artist; I already loved her work way before this novella came out, but she did wonders for this book.

ㅤ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ⋅ ☾ I loved the romance, I loved the story, and I loved the premise of it all, BUT I really wish it had been executed better. I wanted it to be MORE. At times, the writing felt a little strange and pulled me out of the atmosphere, and I also felt like some of the plot elements stopped feeling entirely cohesive as the story progressed. Once again, I had the same feeling I had with ACFTL: that there should have been MORE to the story, more development, more time to let everything settle, because once again, it somehow felt unfinished.

ㅤ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ⋅ ☾ Another thing I had a slight issue with was that I feel there were some inconsistencies with the universe Stephanie created in this book. Shoot me if I recall things wrong, but weren't Fates supposed to become mortal once they fell in love? Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE the version we got instead (mainly because this literally means they will be immortals and live a very long and happy life together forever and I AM A COMPLETE SUCKER FOR THIS), but it did feel a little inconsistent with the original rules of this universe that she created since Craval. Also, wasn't it mentioned in ACFTL that once put on, the cuff Jacks given to Evangeline could not be taken off? Why can she suddenly take it off now?
ㅤ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ I don't want to nitpick, and I genuinely didn't mind these things that much, as you can probably tell from my final rating, but it was still a bit... strange... to see these kinds of plot holes.

ㅤ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ⋅ ☾ I DID LOVE the mirror plot (even if it felt a bit silly at one point) mainly because it strengthened the idea that they are truly meant to fall in love in every universe, across all worlds, even when they were close to somehow getting what each of them originally wanted for their stories (Luc for Evangeline, Tella for Jacks); the legendary lovers energy was going HARD in this book. However, I did feel like the book lacked a bit of just Evangeline and Jacks being together. Everything felt a little rushed, and even after finishing this novella, I was still left craving more of them.
ㅤ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ Maybe, just like ACFTL, this book should have been slightly longer. . .just enough to slow things down and actually let us enjoy them a little more. Throughout the book, I just kept wishing we could see a little more of their inner thoughts and feelings. I wanted to understand more deeply what was going through their minds, especially during some of the more emotional moments.

ㅤ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ⋅ ☾ This being said, Jacks and Evangeline are THE legendary lovers and I will die on that hill. If you disagree, you are simply wrong.

ㅤ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ⋅ ♡ Romance... oh my god. I was already hopelessly in love with these two, and I think almost everyone around here knows that by now, but this book still managed to make me swoon, giggle, scream, and feel genuinely happy for them all over again.
ㅤ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ It wasn't just them being stupidly and adorably in love. It was all the small gestures, the subtle things they notice about each other, the way they react to one another, and how they constantly put each other before anyone else. The way she never fears anything as long as he is around, the little moments where she simply wants to admire him, and how he immediately notices when something is wrong with her or her demeanour changes. The protection, the constant attention, the absolute adoration, the mutual desire to just be with each other...EVERYTHING. Evangeline will simply always run to Jacks, and Jacks will always look for her. No one else will ever come close to these two and the pure, ridiculous love they have for each other.

ㅤ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ⋅ ☾ I already mentioned above that my main issue with this book, just like with ACFTL, was that it felt too rushed, especially towards the ending. And honestly, the ending itself still didn't leave me feeling fully satisfied. I am genuinely starting to think Stephanie simply doesn't know how to end her books and keeps giving us some vague SOMETHING and calling it a day.
ㅤ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ I am one of the people who absolutely LOVE ChaosLaLa and would genuinely love for them to get their own book, but having them get the epilogue of this novella bothered me more than I expected. That epilogue should have been the wedding we have been hearing about since OUABH, the one from Evangeline's sketch, or at the very least, something that gave us a glimpse of Jacks and Evangeline and their future. This novella should have been entirely about them, from start to finish, so their story could finally feel complete. And, honestly, Chaos and LaLa also deserved better than this.

ㅤ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ⊹ Evangeline — I love her. I genuinely feel like I have nothing else to say apart from, “I absolutely love everything about her as a character.” She is the epitome of living sunshine, and that is probably the best way I could describe her. And despite being a literal ball of fluff, she is so far from weak or delicate. Do not forget all the horrible things she has been through and how many times she has been hurt, yet somehow, none of it has ever managed to diminish her strong will, passion, or hope. She is perfect.

ㅤ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ⊹ Jacks — This man could literally do NOTHING bad in my eyes. This book definitely reminded me why he is THE fictional man, and it is going to be incredibly difficult for anyone to ever top him in my heart. His love for Evangeline somehow becomes even deeper throughout this book, and I genuinely got the feeling that there isn't a single thing in this world she could ask for that he wouldn't give anything just to be able to give it to her.
ㅤ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ ‍‍‍‍‍‍ And the best part? He does all of this without ever losing himself in the process. He is still his own individual character, with an entire personality and identity separate from Evangeline, and I think that makes his love for her even more beautiful. He can love her with his entire being without becoming nothing but an extension of her, which only makes him feel like an even more perfectly complex character.

It might not be the ideal novella we all hoped for, and I do think I was a bit more biased in rating this book, but it was the perfect chance to see more of what is to come for these characters; and that was enough for me.

I MISSED MYSHAYLAAAAAAS EVAJACKS SM!!!!

Not this book dragging me out of the clutches of my reading and review slump. If anyone can do it, it's definitely Miss Stephanie Garber. To be very honest, I don't think there is a single book by her that I have read and not rated 5. Some of the authors are like the ones who click for you instantly, and she's like that because I just get consumed each and every time she puts out something. I remember I finished each of the books in the Caraval series within the span of 24 hours, and even less for OUABH because no matter how much I try to, like, savor it, I just can't help but inhale them 😭 With this, I tried my best to savor it because I think it's been around three years since I last read her book and I MISSED IT SO DAMN MUCH!! So, I kept telling myself, 'no, no, no, no, no, you gotta savor it.'

I legit cannot express in words how beautiful it was to read about my beloveds again 😭❤️‍🩹 I love how perfectly whimsical these books are. 250 pages are so less!! I wanted more, mainly because I got lost in the world, and can you guys blame me? The way this woman writes, it's like even if you don't want to leave this world, the descriptions will force you to jump into this world. It gave me everything that I wanted. I wasn't expecting much from this story tbh. Even if I got, like, just EvaJacks hanging around the hollow, I would've slapped 5 stars and went on with my way, but instead I was given more, an actual story that was so beautiful!!

Also, I am not going to lie, I have always wanted more from EvaJacks because the way ACFTL concluded, it made me feel like there could have been more, and I was skeptical, like, teeny tiny bit, that she might ruin something between them, but boy, as soon as I read the very first page, I knew I would love the fuck outta this book. The way she integrated the whole Mirror of Infinite Endings plot here and how it was sort of like a she would always for him and vice versa thing was so damn cute, esp since it was a test and all. I wasn't expecting that from the story, but I was so glad that she took it that way. It made me so nostalgic because it felt like I was back doing my A levels, skipping Econ and CS lectures to read OUABH in the Library. This type of nostalgia>>> I needed to read this book so badly man 😭

Finally, onto my pookie wookies Evangeline, MY PINK HAIRED DIVA who was so damn cute 🥹 like where can I get a woman like that 😭 she was so so so perfect, I loved how dramatic she was at times with a touch of her being a teeny bit naive, she was also so charming. Her being a dragon mommy was not on my bingo card. Her with Bruce was something else 😭 She had me on the edge of the seat when she went through the mirror because you honestly cannot expect how things are going to go when she's in a situation like that. I also liked that she did not fuss about the main reason for Jacks's deal and her reaction was so understanding and warm that I LOVEDD IT!!! Her beauty definitely lies with how she makes her life so whimsy and magical. AND Jacks, MY APPLE EATING DIVA, I loveeeed how he was all broody and scowly at everyone but all smiles and giggles with Eva 😭 this mf didn't even leave Bruce alone with the scowling pls 😭 but his love and obsession for Eva was so 🫦 like I get you Jacks. Him trying to find ways to spend his entire life with Eva, and also being super stressed about everything because nothing ever goes as planned for Jacks 😭 he was charming too, but I wish he munched on apples a bit more. Honestly, I'm glad we got a bit of the old jacks through the mirror because it was so needed, and I missed it.

Now onto the two character that absolutely stole the show for me!! Chaos&Lala, like I'm not even joking, I need their book! I have been yearning for it since 2023. Them in this book were something else. The chemistry was off the charts. I just love how it was a set up for their own book, which I am so sure we are going to get!! But I love how Stephanie carried their characters without them overshadowing EvaJacks, it was so fullfilling and I can NOT wait for their book.

Romantically, this book was everything. I will take even crumbs of the domestic/yearning scenes of EvaJacks that we get over anything smutty. All of it so damn precious. WE WERE FED!! The mirror plotline just added more and more to it, which is why I loveeeeeee the addition of it 😋 but honestly, no one comes close to them, their chemistry and banter are off the charts, it's like you can't read about them and not giggle or blush. I think it came to a point where my feet were about to kick 😅 If you crave the fulfilling romance that was needed after ACFTL, Definitely read this!!

OKAY NOW, I must admit the idea to have different epilogues for each edition was smart of her 😭 I read I think all of em, and if you wanna know, read below, if you don't, then DO NOT READ PAST THIS!!!

So the standard ending was Lala being shown the mirror of second chances, her deciding not to, but her temptations get the best of her, so she touches it and it stops there.

The alternate ending was Lala going to the mirror of infinite endings instead and doing the same thing there instead of at the mirror of second chances.

The last one was her deciding on not going through any of them, but instead is given a coin and is asked if she ever wishes to choose, just flip the coin and it will tell you which mirror to go through.

I personally liked the first one the most!

in all honesty, i expected a lot more.

i wasn't sure what to rate this book tbh. the illustrations on this book were stunning (lotusbubble never disappoints), but other than that... there's not much to say. the writing in this was pretty two-dimensional and super underwhelming + i just didn't get the evajacks i expected. ngl this book was kinda overhyped(?) altho i loved going back to the magnificent north and revisiting my favorite couple. need a chaos & lala book asap though, they're everything to me.

i also was confused by the infinite mirror perspective altho it started to make sense about halfway through. it really shows they're endgame but i really wanted to see much more of their relationship, considering moments like him proposing to her etc etc.

so i mostly enjoyed it. i missed evajacks sm, so it was nice to read about them again 💞 i do have my dislikes of this tho. the side characters making appearances was extremely unnecessary. luc? donatella? really? this was supposed to be an evajacks novella so why tf are they even characters in this. tella def was not my favorite in caraval (with scarlett continuously saving her life) and she tries to earn jacks back 💔 at least it shows he's loyal to eva, but there could've been infinitely better execution. i loved ouabh for the writing style & world, but this one felt like it was trying to be more similar to mainstream romances where the exes try to get the main couple to split apart (and fail).

i can’t believe i waited this long for an evajacks novel just for it to fall so flat... i enjoyed maybe 2 scenes. the writing felt so bland for me. some scenes were giving me the ick. there's no real evajacks closure.

i love this series so much but this just wasn’t giving evajacks for me. why was jacks STILL acting so messy?! I thought we were past this. all i wanted was domesticated evajacks. give me cute, obsessed-with-each-other evajacks. we got some of that, but it just wasn't enough for me :(

SPOILER‼️‼️ and nothing in this book really happens except for that evangeline becomes immortal. jacks' proposal in the end was freaking underwhelming and boring. they don’t even get married. i’m assuming stephanie is saving that for chaos and lala’s novel which is prob gonna happen with that epilogue.

i waited all this time just to be underwhelmed. i hated it !!!!😭 were my expectations were too high?! maybe I just wasn't in the right mood to read this. perhaps I will give this another chance in the future...

only giving this 3 stars bc I love this world and I love evangeline and jacks and im gonna miss it.

oh my gosh. i forgot how magical it felt to be back in stephanie garber's world. genuinely it still hits me with the same whimsy and magical feeling reading her books again. it feels like homeeee if you know what i mean! this book exceeded my expectations, and i had very high expectations. i missed jacks and eva and lala and chaos so freaking much and i just missed the world. i loved the plot, and even though i knew jacks and eva were meant to be (literally who questioned it), idk it still felt nerve-wrecking to be reading about eva and the mirror of infinite endings. i loved this so much and the ouabh world will always have a place in my heart.
also can we just talk about the art for a second? the art is actually stunning and gorgeous and the artist literally brought the characters and the world to life. i could eat the art cuz it looks so good im telling you.

The moment I opened The Mirror of Infinite Endings, it was as though an enchanting spell had whisked me away back to the Hollow, where I found Evangeline eagerly awaiting my return so we could embark on one more magical adventure together.

This little novella is a reminiscent of a magical storybook, where it follows the aftermath of Evangeline and Jacks' happy ever after, but with a twist of Faerie trickery.

The whiff of buttery baked pies and ripe berries wrapped itself around me as soon as I stepped in, while magic thrummed softly with every page I turned.

The stunning fairytale ambience and cottagecore imagery Stephanie crafts is second to none. I am immediately enchanted and would gladly live in the Hollow forever if I could.

I adored this novella with my whole heart. Evangeline is dearly beloved to me, but now I have my fingers and toes crossed for a full-length novel following Lala and Chaos.

Evangeline loved the idea of infinite endings, but she wanted all of her endings to involve Jacks.

I knew this was gonna be five stars before i read it because it’s evajacks 🥹🤍✨ honestly soooooo goodddd ugh i didn’t realize how much i have missed them and this magical vibes until i started reading it but ugh so nostalgic i was obsessed and the illustrations were sooooooo cute and beautiful 🥹 it should have been a full novel honestly novella is not enough 😭😭
