A very good book I would highly recommend this book for people who would like to have an interest in computer hardware. This book lists all aspects of computer hardware in great detail and with very clear illustrations.

Even the latest edition (published 2015) is horribly outdated as computer hardware rapidly changes. However, this reference guide serves as a fun time machine and goes into much greater depth than any YouTube guide you'll find. For example, I've removed the HDD cage in my newest build cause M.2 NVMe SSD is superior (and not just because of my horrid cable management skills) but that doesn't mean they're not worth reading up on. This just means I'll have to mount my eventual storage behemoth with double-sided tape somewhere down the road.

I’m embarrassed by how long it’s taken me to work through this, but at 1200 tightly packed dense pages combined with my bad habit of usually reading 150+ books at the same time, I think it’s understandable. But the book? A freaking masterpiece! The most essential bible one could ever attain for the industry. I cannot recommend this more strongly.

the computer home repair bible! still very useful and relevant for troubleshooting and repairs. But we need a replacement that covers the technological developments and changes for newer, modern computers.
