Hi I'm a big fan of the author but this book was just okay. The heroine, Kitty, got on my last nerve, also to be fair, she was acting like a typical 20 year old , which is why I typically don't read your adult romance. Rage wasn't that much better. The couple had the typical problems with misunderstandings and poor communication. I kept wanting to scream at both of them 'PUt on your big boy/girl panties/boxers and GROW UP!! There are very few steamy scenes, which would be OK if they had romantic moments, but the book has very few of them as well. I generally love this author's HEA endings, but this was anticlimactic as well. I read this book because I thought I would need it to understand subsequent books, but that isn't the case here. I've read 2/3 of the Brothers Black series and there is barely a reference to these characters in that book. I will go on to read Uri 's story and then return to read Brother Black 3. This book is disappointing, overly familiar plot with characters that are not particularly original or interesting
I thought the premise started off okay, but I thought the writing could use some work and the dialogue was cheesy. Too many guys in the story are calling the female protagonist, Kelly aka Kitty, "Babe" and "Baby" made me cringe a bit. I also wasn't totally feeling the male protagonist, Nolan aka Rage. There was just nothing interesting or appealing about him, to be honest. He's just sort of shallow and seemingly is his attraction to Kitty. Plus, they are both young and immature and that I think is what annoyed me the most. Kitty got on my last damn nerve, but then I remembered her age in the story (19/20) and I cringed a bit more lol In the great words of Riggs in Lethal Weapon, I have to say, "I'm too old for this shit." On the other hand, I did finish the book, so that says something. I won't hesitate to not finish a book that bores me or is absolutely terrible and this one wasn't absolutely terrible, but left a lot to be desired.
This is Nolan and Kelly's story. Its an interracial young adults story. BW/WM
The story was totally engrossing but Kelly annoyed the hell out of me. The first misunderstanding between them I could understand. However, when she repeatedly chooses to believe that he had done her wrong instead of asking him and choosing to believe the worse about him, I found that totally frustrating. For me Nolan was the hero in this story because he just kept pursuing her even though she was doing him wrong.
An emotional roller-coaster of a great but well worth the ride.
That is all you hear from the h. Even all the way to the end. Honestly I hated this book. I love the author but I hated this book. I was only reading it because she has it and the best read order after legally bound 3 and since all her stories are very closely woven together and overlap I read it because I figured it would be on the same thread as legally bound and brothers black which I accidentally read first before the legally bound series. I don't understand why this book is on that best read order list she has at the end of each book. this book has nothing to do with the others and the fact that it's on the list is the only reason I read it. I wish I had not wasted my time. I hated the h. she was so whiny and pushes everyone away and jumps to conclusions and runs away without knowing all the facts. I really really hate this book. The only reason it gets the two instead of a one-star is because of who the author is.
Refreshing story of coming of age love. This was a s softer love story for this author and I enjoyed the easy read. This young couple could have avoided a lot of turmoil with communication.
Kitty is frustrating to read. But Nolan makes up for it and I really enjoy reading this book
Okay I'm just going o start off with this.
Kelly aka Kitty was extremely frustrating to read about. I kept wanting to shake her and tell her to get her act together and to really use her brain! Nolan aka Rage has made it clear about the fact that they're relationship, and how he feels about her. He also made it clear that they need to have some communication, and if she feels anyway she needs to come to him and speak about it.
But Kitty being Kitty still goes and believes what she supposedly "sees" and what she hears from other people. Instead of her going to Nolan and asking him about it she just takes what she hears and runs with it. That is so frustrating! I wanted to stop reading the book just because of her continuing to do this.
Then when he wants to know whats up she takes off running. Imma need Kitty to have some back bone and slap down a couple of people. Esp. when someone is coming to you saying they did something with your man and you don't even fight with him to find out what he did. The running away from her problems are the time is a big issue.
It actually made it hard to really enjoy the book. Now Nolan has his moments of immaturity but he faces it head on. Once he see that she's really hurt or that someone is implying something about his woman. He takes charge and not only confronts the person but also Kitty about it. He literally chases her to try and get her to talk to him. This is frustrating since she should be doing the same!
Other than that I really enjoy this book. As much as it was reading about Kitty, Maddy, Nolan little sister and Kitty Best friend, is hilarious. I really enjoy reading about the interactions with Maddy and Kitty. Its truly a best friend relationship that had me turning to my best friend and saying "this is us." lol
Rage, Crush, Linc, Mandy and the band are the best part.
I liked this book and certain characters. I mainly read it to follow the order of sequence of the books, especially so I can get to Hush(can't wait to read it). However no one from the other books were in it, maybe I'll see the connection later. Now the band, Mandy, Chris, Nolan, Linc, and, Mr. Chaney are the ones I liked. I also liked Uncle Terry and Aunt Mena. Kitty on the other hand with all her crying and the constant babying of her was annoying and immature. I know she's young and lost her family, but I found myself just trying to rush through the book because she got on my nerves so much. Her not wanting Linc, but allowing him to kiss her and maintain this intense need to be connected to him even knowing how he felt just got to me.
Only thing made me mad about Rage is that he was willing to walk away from his band for Kelly even though the band has been there with him from day one struggling along side him. I found that selfish. Then Kitty having them all worry about what comes next even though she had made the decision to stay, but took her time telling them. Stuff like that is why she was terribly immature. The storyline itself was enjoyable and I really fell in love with Mandy and Linc as an off and on couple. Hope the two of them show up in the other books.
I read this book because Blue Saffire has a preferred reading order for her legally bound series and I was trying to read the books in order. I don't get it though, because this book has nothing to do with the other books in that series, and there are no crossover characters. this is just a book about a sad orphaned college student getting her music back by hooking up with a band. She jumps to conclusions and doesn't have the maturity to ask for clarity, just assuming that whatever interpretation she has on a situation has to be the correct one. Her decisions to stick with those conclusions instead of talking to the guy fuel unnecessary drama and she falls into this pattern more than once. Also, she is not even of legal drinking age and knocks back at least 6 drinks, some of them hard liquor before going on stage the first time and the male lead gets wasted whenever he is on the outs with her. I can't see the necessity for that. They will both have sort lives and careers if they continue on that road. Mostly, I just don't get the plot of this book. It seems like a waste of time, with a topic that is not that interesting. the Legally bound series has interesting developments, but this book is just meh, and really has no connection. I have read. many books by this author, but this one doesn't do it for me.
I read this bc the author includes it as a part of the Legally Bound series. I am not a fan of college students bc the girls are whiners Andy the guys are immature, I don't like books about athletes bc I love sports and I don't like books about bands. I love music but books about bands turn me off. So, this book is about a college student in a band, it should've been a double whammy but I read it bc Blue Service wrote it and its connected to Legally Bound, A series by her that I love.
Other than the star character of Perfect for Me having violet eyes I don't get the connection. I won't elaborate at this point but I must say if the other books included to be series adjacent are this far fetched and I hadn't planned on reading them before hand, I don't think I'll be reading them. Especially, if they fall into the afore mentioned categories of books I don't read. I can only assume it is bc of my lack of detail that I don't know what the connection is, so I will be paying greater attention moving forward with the Legally Bound series.
With all that said, I did like the book, not loved, as I have all of Blue Saffire's books I've read to date.
This book started out so good, I was captured and stuck. Then, all of a sudden things just scraped at my nerves. First, the girl was drinking under age, yeah I get it I know but it still rubbed me the wrong way. Then at the beginning it made out like she had a good health on her shoulders though, but she strayed being stupid and immature. She showed her age. It could be that I'm in a bad mood and have been reading this book for over a week but I stopped at 77% and I don't plan on finishing.
Man, I really wanted to love this book but I had to give it 3 stars. It was too long (over 300 pgs.) which could have been written in 150. Kitty was GETTING on my nerves around that 150 mark. WTF did she have to whine and whoo me my friends are my enemies for no real reason. Then she had trust & communication issues especially with Rage. By the time I got to the steamy scenes I couldn't read it because I couldn't stand her. I still love Blue Saffire
This book is the perfect balance of every genre of music, that one could possibly love. I can say that because this the second time I have read this book.
The sheer chemistry of Rage and Kitty will have you hitting some notes that you never thought you could.
I’m so looking forward to seeing he entire series of Perfect For Me...
Now onto Hush and beyond.

WOW ! This is a great written romance with awesome characters and great dialogue. Definitely entertaining and worth reading, It will make you feel sorry for part of the story. But it's full of intriguing with emotional drama. Along with their sizzling hot passions it will keep you turning pages until the end. I enjoyed every moment of their relationship It's one that I didn't put my Kindle down until I finished the story if are like myself you will enjoy it because it's a awesome romance.
This was a good book but Kitty was working my nerves real bad. It's like every time she thought something was one way she acted off emotions and ran with it without getting the facts or hearing anyone out. I understand her past trauma with losing her parents and the hurt and pain never really goes away. She needs to learn to communicate more with the people she loves. Rage was really no different cause he had a habit of assuming things without facts also. I'm glad they worked through their mess.💛💛
The characters, separately, were fine. Together, Kitty got on my last nerves. She was too whiny and childish. I stopped understanding Rage's attraction to her, besides her gorgeous looks, after all her whining and leaving. I like my Heroinnes a little older and stronger. Also, I thought this book was a waste of time as it fits into the Legally Bound Series Timeline. I was wrong. I found out the connection in LegBd4.
First I have to say this is the third time reading this book and I never realized that I never left a review😮🤦🏽♀️. I don’t know why because it’s always been one of my favorites. I grew up around musicians and my mom managed a band. This brought back so many memories, especially watching a song come to life. So reading this amazingly put together book as an adult was wonderful. Blue Saffire never lets us down.
Blue Saffire has a style all her own and if you've read any of her other works, she does not disappoint. True to her style though, this story could be read alone but fits into the multi-layer plot line of the Legally Bound/Brothers Black series.
Rocker Rage has all the angst of the typical male protagonist while his object of interest, lead singer Kitty, has all the typical insecurities of the female protagonist in the other books by this author but the HEA you have come to love and expect.
This book was really good wish I would’ve read it before Hush 2. But even though I read out of sequence it still comes into place. I’m so glad Nolan fought for Kitty at times I was frustrated with her but at the end it was a great read. Well off to read Ballers 2. I hope his brother is URI brother is just like him from book before family secrets. Will totally buy her books another author added on my list.
This is so good I started reading this series as random but I realize there is an order to these stories so I’m going in order now and I love 💕 it. I don’t know which one of these men I would love to dream about, Rage seems to have my attention especially with the nipple piercing. Love the foreplay believe I would get a lot with him, glad to see Kitty stop overthinking things. Great read.
When I first read your book, I thought I could overlook the whole " no communication, secrets being kept, being niave" concept in all your books, but it gets tiresome and quite frankly annoying and irritating. I will read the next book that you chronically put in order to read to see if I'll continue to read the rest of your books.
Kelly and Nolan’s story was beautiful not surprising as it’s Ms Sapphire’s work. I must say that Kelly really got on my nerves when she almost threw her relationship away over a misunderstanding she chose not to communicate about, nevertheless, love won and they got their HEA
Can’t continue to read this book, which is really disappointing. When I start something I almost always finish. But this one has nothing to do with Legally Bound and it shouldn’t even be in the order. I hate wasting my time and this one feels like a big waste. Have Kitty grow up and then write another story abt her and Rage. I get the concept, just not digging the content.
Rage & Kelly have the perfect recipe for train derailing right ahead. Groupies, lots of misunderstandings, crossroads, non-communication, jealousy, tempers, and passion that’s about to explode.
Will a note or lyric be enough to bring stubborn personalities together or float away with the wind?
I really tried to like this book, but there is something missing. Maybe because I would sometimes skip certain paragraphs. But how could I help it. It was super boring. I'm not even sure that boring is the right word. I did not connect with not one character. Not one. But like I said. It's missing something that makes a good book good.
For that ‘Me’ day, when you have a few hours to yourself. Kitty and Rage have chemistry and their background stories are interesting. I love books where MCs communicate so at times Kitty was a bit irritating but not for long. PS...would love to read about Linc and Mandy
I was very bored & disappointed with this book. Kitty was too immature & whiny, even with the tragic events at a young age she had too many complaints & never acknowledged being grateful for her friends & family until the very end. At times, too much description was used for unnecessary points in the story & it took way to long for the actual romance to start. This book was unnecessarily too long. I read this story because I thought it was necessary to complete first since was recommended in a specific order, but this story doesn't seem to have any correlation to the other books so far. I have loved EVERY other book thus far by Blue Saffire except this one. I gave it 2 **'s because of her other works I've read. With the exception of this book, she has become one of my top fav bwwm romance authors.
The book has a good romance plot. But this type of whiney romance is not really Blue Saffire's norm. Her heroine's are usually bad asses though and though. So Kitty running away and crying as much as she did was unexpected. I realize Kitty was 19 but still 🤷🏾♀️ to much whining and crying.
I'm so happy that Kitty and Rage were able to work things out. I just wish that they would have talked to each other more. I am still loving this author, but the stubborn woman who mentally tortures the poor guy because she is stubborn is driving me crazy.
Love the swift, controlled, vivid writing by this super author, but the strength so fiercely defined in Kitty is in total contrast to all the crying and cowardness throughout the story. Pretty darn good book anyway!
