Millie thinks she’s ready for commitment after some recent life changes. She relocated to Robtown, her best friend found love, and she’s done dating losers. Still unsure, she chooses spicy, ready for another fling — ignoring the shame from her purity culture upbringing.
Joey picks spicy, looking for his next hookup, assuming he’ll never find love like the other men in his family. While he manages Brewer Properties in Robtown, his older brother threatens the family legacy, leaving Joey to support his hurt and heartbroken nieces.
Between ice cream dates, small town run-ins, and unexpected vulnerability, their spicy start grows into a seriously sweet relationship neither of them anticipated.
This was such a great small town romance. After having a rough go in the dating world, Millie decides to give the SORS app a try, where she connects with what seems like the perfect match! But I don't want to give to much away lol.
This book was exactly what I needed to pull me out of my reading funk. It had a great amount of spice, plenty of family drama, and a dating situation that kept me wanting to turn the page just to see what was going to happen next. It was a fun, easy read that had me hooked, and honestly the perfect book to finish off my summer reading and get me ready for all the cozy fall reads.
Definitely recommend if you're looking for a spicy small town romance with a little drama mixed in!
I really wanted to love Pour Decisions, but unfortunately, this one just didn’t completely work for me. I enjoyed parts of the story and there were definitely moments that made me smile, but I found myself struggling to fully connect with the characters and the overall story.
I kept waiting for that moment where everything would just click for me, and it never quite got there. It wasn’t a bad read, and I can absolutely see why other readers might enjoy it, but personally, I just wanted a little more.
I’m glad I gave it a chance, but this ended up being more of a “it was okay” read for me than a new favorite. 💕
Starting off strong and steamy, just like our MMC, Joey. The story of Millie and Joey is binge-worthy like rocky-road ice cream!
Our couple connect randomly through a dating app, only to later find out that they have met in real life. Their romance may have started as casual, but the reader quickly becomes just as hooked on their story as they do about each other. This is a sweet story with a bit of spice, making it an easy read. With a strong message of self-love and overcoming the guilt of navigating adulthood from a traditional upbringing of the 1990's, us GenX-ers can't help but relate to our MFC, Millie.
Now, I just have to patiently await the third installment to continue in this small-town rom-com world...
If ever two people were meant to be, it's Millie and Joey! How could he not fall for a girl that quite literally tripped and fell right into his life?
This story goes from slow burn to spicy in 3 seconds flat and it is perfect! Seeing the foundation being built between the main characters before they realize who the other person happens to be is such a fresh perspective on romance stories. The central themes of sex positivity and exploration, recovery from shame and purity culture, and the reality of dating through apps all mesh together to make a deeply heartfelt love story!
Amanda did a really good job with character development, there's a perfect amount of spice, family drama, and a cute love story. I would have liked to know more about Marie and Johnny's relationship dynamic and how things seemed to get better after her little solo-trip. Overall, I really enjoyed this ARC read. It's a quick-read that will have you hooked from the first page.
Let me just say Wow!! I could not put this book down and it was the perfect story for Millie. This is my second book by Amanda Riley and she delivered everything I wanted and so much more.
This book has everything- slow burn, secrets, family drama, and intense chemistry. The dynamic between the characters made for the perfect love story that had me wanting more!
Spicy from beginning to end. This second book for new author, Amanda Riley, was a fun mix of spice, relationships, and personal message. I enjoyed getting to know the main characters and building on the story from her first book. Sometimes love shows up when you aren't looking for it, or think you are looking for something else. Looking forward to book three in the series.
Main characters are Joey and Millie. Millie is Joeys younger brothers girlfriends best friend. They originally met when Joey accidentally hit Millie with his car. They both end up being on this dating app and unknown to themselves are talking to each other. At first it was just like low strings friends with benefits kind of way. Along the way they ended up catching feelings for each other. Theres parts in the book I personally didn’t like so reason for the rating. Book was still interesting so i kept on reading hoping it turned out okay. If anyone like friends with benefits that end up falling for each other this book may be for you. Also if dont mind even of they are not exclusive or dating at the time they have each been sleeping around with others as well. (Joey with his brothers ex and Millie with a guy she met at a party)
So so so good. Sometimes we have to make a few poor decisions in life before we get rewarded in a big way. And I feel Millie did just that!
I really enjoyed this ARC. I love a good love story, and a good love story with a bit of spice is always a win too. And throw in a little family drama and it's sure to be a five star!
I really wanted to love Pour Decisions, but unfortunately, this one just wasn’t for me. I struggled to connect with the writing style, which made it difficult for me to stay invested and ultimately finish the story. But that’s the beauty of reading—we aren’t going to mesh with every book we pick up, and a story that isn’t for me could easily become someone else’s favorite. ❤️ I’m still grateful I had the opportunity to read it, and I genuinely wish Amanda Riley nothing but success with her book! 📚✨
I really enjoyed this book. She has the worst luck in men, whether it be her luck or just bad taste who knows. He can't seem to find the right girl. Then she literally walked backwards and crashed into the right man even if she didn't know it yet.
Part of me wished they didn't have to take that long to get together but that's more of my own preference. Which probably shows my own red flags, because it made it better that they got to know each other before realizing they knew each other the whole time.

Thank you Amanda Riley for sending me an ARC copy of Pour Decisions!
It’s such a fun small town romance! We get a conservative upbringing, dating apps, and a mix of spice in between!
We get to see Millie and Joey’s connection after meeting on a dating app! Dating can be a disaster— leading to heartbreak and push us to just about give up on those happy ever afters. So it was easy to relate to Millie as she decides to take that step and join the new app! It was great seeing the buildup between our FMC and MMC and anticipating all the small moments they had! Amanda Riley gives us all hope!!
From the prologue ( chef's kiss).... YES! This has the right amount of spice, plot, family drama and just plain ol' reality of the world we live in today. I can relate to do many aspects of this book it's refreshing from other rom-coms. It was an easy, cozy read and I can't wait for book 3 to see more characters stories unfold.
