While I might not always make the best decisions when it comes to love, I know when it’s time to cut my losses. Sure, I moved thousands of miles away to live with my ex, but when he shows me who he is, I believe him. With him at work and a snowstorm rolling in, it’s the perfect time to make my escape.
I pack up everything I own and try to say my goodbyes to Echo, his German shepherd. Only, when I’m about to walk out the door, I canʼt bring myself to leave her behind.
Yes, I’m a dog thief.
I had a good reason, though.
We take off on an adventure. Unfortunately, I’m frazzled and somehow end up taking a wrong turn.
Luckily, Bryant comes to the rescue, offering us a place to stay. Immediately upon smelling him, I can tell he’s a scent match. As it turns out, so are his packmates, Luka and Lawson. Between the three growly mountain men, I’m in way over my head.
And there’s still the little matter of possibly being wanted for dog theft…
A Snowy Escape is a complete standalone with no cliffhanger and no crossover to any of my other books or series. It's light and fluffy with no angst/stress. There is no cheating, OW drama, or third act breakup. The men always fall first.
I absolutely loved this quick read by Jillian. When it comes to her books, I always have a good time. This is probably one of the low angst from her that I’ve read and I ate this baby up in only a few hours.
I really loved the fmc, Abby. She runs away when her boyfriend, Tommy, is out and about. She has given him several attempts that she doesn’t want to be with him. Before a snowstorm hits, she leaves and Echo, the German shepherd, doesn’t want to even stay with Tommy and runs off with her omega owner.
Things get interesting and she meets Bryant, Luca and Lawson. They are the perfect guys for her. From a grumpy but patient to one that just makes you laugh and then, my absolute favorite one of all that looks out for her, she is going to be taken care of by these guys.
I really love how Echo is so protective over Abby. I loved it when Lawson bribed the dog with treats and then laid down the law what the dog could and couldn’t do. Then, she meets the other dog.
The spicy was so good and it was a good time. I had a feeling from the moment they Abby met Bryant that their bond was far more special than a scene match.
It took a while but when the guys did court her, it was endgame for all of them.
All in all, this was super cute and I really loved all the epilogues that we got with these amazing characters.
I received a copy of this book and this is my honest review.

I DNFed the last book I read by West and there were a few mafia books that were right on the line of too dark for me. I am so relieved to see she hasnʼt given up on sweet romance! Realistically itʼs closer to a 3.75 stars but I am giving an extra because of my enjoyment!
There is this new trend in omegaverse where itʼs either way too dark for me or way too “cozy”
This is a sweet romance without too many eye rolls and only a few OG omegaverse authors manage that for me.
There are three MMC. Two are brothers. No MM. Two dogs. One FMC. Birth control is NOT discussed until after the heat but Abby has an IUD. No condoms used.
It was fine, I honestly was just bored most the time. They don't have great dialogue and at times it just felt like an omegaverse madlib. Checking off the items we need for the genre but I just didn't get into it.
I CAN RATE DECIMALS NOW HOLY FUCKING SHIT GUYS, HOLY FuCkInG SHIT HAHAHAH!!!😆 But yeah, this book bored the shit out of me.
I understand West was trying to write a low-angst story, but even low-angst has to have...something. It was a HUGE letdown, considering her other books, like my favorite, All In. In that book, the characters were diverse in their personalities, interesting, and just so fun to read! Here, all the guys were kinda...ehhh? They were exactly what you'd expect from a green-flag guy, and that's basically it. They weren't anything special, and that disappointed me.
If you want a really good West book, I'd read another. But if you need something to kill time, this is it.
This is the perfect story to read when you’re looking for a low anxiety read that will fill you with all the good vibes. Instant connections, three all-in MMCs, two adorable and protective doggos, and getting snowed in.
Jillian West is forever the queen of all things omegaverse. This particular book feeds all the fluffy and cuteness, perfect as we move into colder weather. Filled with snowed in, one bed vibes and cute doggos, the coziness is unmatched. We have basically a literal mountain man whose good with animals and his hands (yup), his charming brother, and their hunky pack mate who all fall for dog thief Abby (don't worry, she's dog thieving in a good way) and it is PRECIOUS. Super low angst with a happily ever after. No notes. All the stars.
It was a slow-burning read, although the alphas are attracted to Abby from their first encounter and decide to get to know each other little by little. I also loved reading how they helped her adapt to what will be her new home, despite not knowing what she was running from, and how they offered her protection in exchange for nothing, which I found very beautifully tender.
For her part, Abby, who initially seeks independence after leaving a torturous relationship, gradually accepts the help offered by Lawson, Bryant, and Luka, especially when she realizes they are compatible alphas with her scent. How she decides to take the initiative to try to convince him to court her was very entertaining. I really like the connection she has with the three alphas, but what truly melts my heart is how she developed a close relationship with Lawson after he's described as cold, distrustful, someone who doesn't like interacting with people in general, and the least popular choice among girls. The connection that developed between Abby and him was unique and mesmerizing. 🥹🥰
Without a doubt, the reading was very enjoyable, cozy, tender, romantic, and with the perfect touch of spice 🤭
Ya know I might be feeling generous because the MMCs in my last few books have been absolute trash but I liked this one.
Itʼs a solid palate cleanser but donʼt expect some masterpiece because itʼs not that. What it is is a cute snowed in romance with two dogs for side characters and three guys that could never exist in our world because theyʼre just a little too perfect. This is why I only date women even though Iʼm bi.
i think my fav thing about this book is Abby, our fmc’s inner monologue. usually it’s the alphas who are going a little crazy wanting to bite the omega, but this time it’s our omega wondering when she’s going to get knotted and bit, lol.
thank you Jillian West for an e-ARC of 𝑨 𝑺𝒏𝒐𝒘𝒚 𝑬𝒔𝒄𝒂𝒑𝒆
𝑨 𝑺𝒏𝒐𝒘𝒚 𝑬𝒔𝒄𝒂𝒑𝒆 is available October 16th ❄️
✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ ✦ MFMM, AOAA, 1st person multi-POV fmc on the run, scent matches, forced proximity, one bed, heat scene, brothers in pack, established pack, HEA, pregnancy in epilogue, standalone
This was a perfectly sweet omegaverse read. It had the just the right amount of holiday vibes and snowed in coziness. These alphas were instantly obsessed and I loved that our omega FMC fell for them just as hard and just as quickly. I really enjoyed this one!
Enjoyable read. Not a lot happening, so a nice low angst, fluffy read. Abby gets the happily ever she deserves with 3 men who are obsessed with her. As well as fluffy doggie side characters, what's not to love.
Super sweet and would be great for settling in during a winter weather event, especially cozied up in front of a fireplace!
Abby left a bad relationship and had the best luck of finding a pack full of wonderful Alphas who doted on her and kept her safe and happy. Lawson was grumpy and growly in a good way. Luka was funny and kept things lighthearted. And without Bryant and his careful kindness, Abby might have ended up in a bad way from the snowstorm.
This is a low-stress read with sweetness and fast-paced romance.
“Santa Claus and the universe had better be listening. I really only want one thing for Christmas this year...them.”
✔️MFMM why choose contemporary omegaverse ✔️winter romance ✔️snowed in ✔️FMC on the run ✔️she’s a dog thief (for a good reason) ✔️forced proximity & he falls first ✔️no 3rd act breakup, OW drama, cheating or choosing
I love a low angst book with no drama, because I am an anxious girlie and sometimes just need a romance where I know everything is going to go perfectly, think “Hallmark after dark”. In all seriousness, I appreciate books just like this one, where there is no breakup, OW drama, crazy conflict or miscommunication and the pack is already built so there isn’t the angst of adding additional pack members. Abby (FMC), Bryant (MMC), Lawson (MMC), and Luca (MMC) are perfect together as a pack, and the guys are all in agreement from the get-go that Abby is a scent match for all of them, they just take their time making things official so they don’t scare her off after the way her ex treated her.
The winter and Christmas vibes in this book are perfect. Abby escapes from her previous relationship and ends up in a small town off the beaten path, with her ex’s dog in tow. She wasn’t planning to take the dog with her, but she wouldn’t go back inside when she was trying to leave and Abby was worried about how her ex would treat the dog when he realized she was gone (spoiler: he’s not a good guy, at all). When she the town that will eventually become her new home, she plans on staying in her car until Bryant shows up and lets her know that a massive storm is on the way. I love the “snowed in” trope, and seeing each of the individual relationships being built. Each of the MMCs has a distinct personality and relationship with the FMC as well as the overall family pack relationship.
This book isn’t connected in any way to this author’s other books, so it’s a good one to start with. I am hoping that she decides to write more books with a similar vibe/style to this one in the future because I know they will immediately end up on my favorites shelf.
*I am so grateful to be a member of Jillian West’s ARC team! Thank you so much to Jillian and her team for the opportunity to ARC read this book! All opinions are my own*
Jillian West’s new book, Snowy Escape, is an absolute must-read! As a sucker for a good force-proximity romance, I was instantly captivated by this one.
Abby, an Omega, flees her boyfriend and ends up in a small mountain town during a storm. Not only did she leave him, but she also stole his dog too. Despite her unfortunate circumstances, fate seems to be smiling upon her.
When she is too tired to drive, she pulls over into a gym parking lot to sleep. Not knowing that they’re supposed to be a really bad storm, Bryant comes to the rescue. Letting her stay above the bar to ride out the storm. But then Lawson enters the little apartment that Abby’s in, and they ride out the storm together. Luka Lawson’s brother gets to know Abby and gives her a job while trying to get to know her.
This pack of Alphas is probably one of my favorites. I love how each one is devoted to Abby and puts her well-being above everything else. But if I had to choose, my favorite would definitely be Lawson. There’s just something about a growly, cranky mountain man that gets to me.
I can’t wait to read what else Jillian has in her personal sleeve as I am hooked for life.
This one is so sweet that you will want to curl up with your favorite hot cocoa and read it in front of a fireplace. Main character Abby is leaving a jerk of an Alpha when she takes the wrong turn heading back to Georgia. Ending up in upstate New York in the middle of winter with only a few bags and her Ex’s dog is not where Abby thought she would be right before Christmas. Parking in an empty Gym parking lot, she had a chance encounter with Bryant and he can tell right away she needs help. He offers her the apartment over his pack mates bar and grill not knowing one of them is going to hunker down there for a big storm. Lawson was just trying to beat the storm when he entered his spare apartment and runs into his scent match. Knowing he wants to keep her safe and belong to his pack, Lawson offers her the apartment and a job just to keep her in town. Knowing that Lawson and Bryant haven’t stopped talking about the girl in the apartment, Luka tries to get to know her as soon as the storm lifts. Knowing that the weather is unpredictable, the Pack offers Abby a place to ride out an even bigger storm a few weeks later. When her heat unexpectedly hits, Abby knows she wants only these three and she will do anything to keep them.

With way less spice than her usual books, but still good! It’s just I’m used 2 the instant stuff from her.
I’d say a solid 2 for 🌶️ 3 ⭐️ for overall story line
It was almost boring in the beginning but finally got there. Just didn’t feel like Jillian West books usually do. Although I did love how the guys still had her usual ruthless attitude her H’s usually have when it comes to their Omega!
Abby like me is not good with directions when driving. After leaving her ex boyfriend and simi kidnapping the dog she ends in a small town before a big winter storm where Bryant finders and helps her by giving her a place to stay for the storm. Luka and Lawson are Bryant packmate and when they meet Abby they want her was their mate. This book was hilarious and i couldn't put it down. I do love all of Jillian books but sometimes a cozy book is what is need I know she will deliver.
Let me start by saying that I adored Abby & all of her guys. This was classic JW at her finest. Doing omegaverse that just warms your heart, and leaves you wishing it could go on forever. Having said that, be prepared for the most adorable side character on four legs to steal the show 😝 Echo was in a league of her own, and made this whole book just a joy to read. Come for the doggy shenanigans, and stay for the heat & romance 😉Also, this isn’t connected to any of JW’s other books, so it’s an awesome starting place if you’re new to her & want to get a feel for how amazing her books are 💖
➕ - Another sweet and fluffy omegaverse why choose (MFMM) from JW! - The premise drew me in: Abby unintentionally dog naps Echo as she runs from her ex. - Tropes: 🐶 Omega on the run 🐶 Snowed in / forced proximity 🐶 Scent matches 🐶 Surprise heat 🐶 Soft only for her - Lawson is my faveforite alpha - gruff, protective, cuddly, thoughtful and devoted.
➖ - I love a good comfort read but I wish there was just a bit more excitement in the story line. - Lawson can do no wrong in my eyes, however Bryant and Luka are cute but barely distinguishable in my mind.
Abby is alone in the world and has to escape a bad relationship. When she leaves she takes her exes dog and the two go on a road trip to find a new home. Little does she know she is about to find her pack!
Low angst omegaverse is my personal weakness and this was well done. I wish we had more time with Luca and Bryan but overall it was good.
Another very cute and low stress romance from Jillian West! A Snowy Escape is a longer standalone novella with no real angst and just cozy holiday snowed-in vibes. She does kidnap her ex's dog but the dog wanted to follow her and wasn't being properly taken care of, just to warn in case this is a trigger.
I am so torn on this book. I wanted to love it, because let’s be honest Jillian wrote it. However I genuinely was struggling with how painfully slow of a burn it was. Typically that’s not an issue for me because it just means more chemistry building, but unfortunately I did not feel the chemistry between anyone. It felt very friend zoned helps her through her heat. I was hoping for a little more fall out from Tommy rather than just a few pages of what we got.
A Snowy Escape has to be my new personal best when it comes to reading Jillian West books because I devoured it! It's a short and fluffy read with the perfect balance of sweet and spicy that I simply didn't want to put down, and considering how funky my brain has been, this was definitely a remedy to help me get back on the right track.
I was entirely hooked by Abby from that first page; I support her crime, and nothing can change my mind on it. I felt her fears and worries; running is scary, but sometimes that's the safest option to make. Now, I would say it's unfortunate that this plan ended with her driving straight into a snowstorm with no idea how to survive it, but if she hadn't, she wouldn't have met her people—I love moments of serendipity! I really enjoyed how resilient Abby is; she's not had an easy life at all, but she doesn't let it weigh her down; she just keeps trying to push forwards in hope things will work out for the better. I also really loved how she was trying to get the guys to start courting her; she was a woman that knew what she wanted, and she was determined to get it! One of my favourite parts of her journey in this book was watching her come alive; she's very funny, she just needed the right room to settle into first.
I fell in love with Lawson immediately! A giant mountain man who connects with dogs more than people and respects women? Yeah, there was no hope for me; the very moment he called Abby 'sweetheart,' I was done for. I loved that he was the polar opposite of her ex, and the moment she noted that was such a beautiful point, she needed the lightness he gave so effortlessly. Abby felt so comfortable with him that talking was easy, that expressing her feelings was easy, and that coming to him for comfort was easy, and I love that for both of them. We love a competent man that will think on his feet and put actions into place to ensure the safety and well-being of his partner. His conversation with Bryant over protecting Abby in the gym was so entertaining and immediately became a highlight moment. It was so cute getting to witness him appreciate how Abby notices him and cares for him, something he's never had before, and it made me ache for him. Also, one of my favourite micro-tropes in a Jillian West book is 'the gifter,' and Lawson did not disappoint!
Luka, my fellow lover of naps, oh, I love you. He's completely different from his brother, but he's incredibly protective of his brother and has been lonely in his steadfast opinion that whoever completes their pack needs to like them all equally, and I love that firm nature of his. I also just really enjoyed the energy he brought to the page; he's cheeky in such an effortless way, his thoughts are delightfully unhinged, and he always had the ability to make me laugh. His excitement to race down and meet Abby in hopes this she is the omega for their pack was so cute, and I loved that he was the one fully showing their collective interest in courting her. He lives for chaos in the best way, and his banter with Bryant was so much fun; their little lines back and forth were so good!
I adored how Bryant was immediately protective on finding Abby but was trying to be so careful in order to not overstep in offering safety; his mental tussle about knowing he was essentially stranger-danger to her was as entertaining as it was endearing, especially considering Abby was dying to get a whiff of his scent. All of the pack members show respectful and care to Abby, but I loved how much Bryant paid attention to her eating habits and accommodated them without fuss. Also, the juxtaposition between him sweetly scheduling the festive period to his dirtier and livelier thoughts was so funny to me.
On to the spice portion, and I have to tell you that every term of endearment made me screech with delight! One of my favourite parts of this book was how Abby took control as many times as she could before the fog, and her pack was more than eager to follow her lead. Their excitement and craving desire for her was still tempered by their need to not take anything she wasn't giving willingly, and, as always, consent is sexy. There was so much fun to be found in this pack's dynamic, but Luka's praise and Bryant's dirty talk were stellar. Now, usually my favourite spicy scenes are the more the merrier kind, and the MFMM scene was so good; it had just the right amount of humour and care with some very saucy sauce. But I have to say I also really loved Lawson's scene because it was deliciously sweet!
I'd recommend this to both those that love omegaverse and those that want to try out the genre. With any Jillian West read, you can always expect a great deal of heart and humour, and A Snowy Escape was no exception—I must have grinned my way through the pages as Abby found exactly the right men for her! Some of the fun tropes that can be found in this cute standalone are: only one bed, forced proximity, a snowed in element, a surprise heat, he falls first x3, and a low angst vibe with a lovely HEA. It's truly the perfect read to wrap up in a cosy blanket and sink into the 'ber months with, and I can’t wait for more standalone books in the Knotty Treats series!
Very sweet story, foiled by useless plotlines and dropped details
This book sits very solidly neutral on the quality scale. There isn't anything truly terrible about it but it lacks the quality that used to be overflowing from Jillian West novels.
We start with Abby. A very vaguely written FMC whose most defining feature is her incapability. She is incapable of caring for herself physically or emotionally, incapable of supporting herself financially, and incapable of making truly good decisions. The guys are all pretty decent. Their personalities and motivations seem consistent, and their devotion and support is steady. There isn't anything exceptionally unique about them but they are solid MMCs all the way through.
Most of the problems stem from inconsistency and uselessness in the plotting and details. Abby's motivation to leave Tommy is vague compared to her later terror. Her reason for leaving without him knowing is based on his manipulative tendencies. At no point does she describe anything physical to support the trembling fear response later. The Bev blather was all useless and pointless, with zero value to the story. For the number of mentions, it should have been given a point for existing. Either make her an antagonist or don't put it in. The blather around Abby's heat timing is absurd. She says multiple times in her own personal thoughts that she expects her heat in about a month, then it hits and there's a whole to-do about her not having a regular heat. Is this Schrodinger's heat? Both coming and not coming at the same time? Any of these 3 elements had potential to add depth to the story, but as it stands, they are just hurdles without any value. Add in her brother's omega being something of a paranoid bitch about Abby's existence, and I'm pondering why Jill spent so much time creating random barely there plot threads without actually utilizing them beyond page count.
The doors are off the hinges open. The typos seem non-existent. The pace is pretty steady, neither fast nor slow. This book is by no means the worst in either Jill's backlog or the genre as a whole, but it's unfortunately not the best example of either. Pick it up if you want something light and simple. Skip it over if you have prudish tendencies or need more complex stories.
After the Boston Syndicate series, I loved getting to read something that didn’t have me constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop. Jillian is amazing at writing angsty, morally grey romances and I absolutely LOVE them….but every now and then I need a little palate cleanser & she always seems to release something like that right when I need it.
Abby is getting herself out of a toxic situation before it can get any worse. There might be some dog-napping, but honestly that’s for the best. I saw right through the half-hearted “attempt” to not take Echo.
I loved how Bryant was determined to help her, but doing it as a gentleman. Instead of just taking her straight to his house and never letting her leave he set her up in the apartment above the bar. Lawson being the one to actually get snowed in with her & them bonding when Luca & Bryant were worried his gruffness could scare her off was perfect. They were preparing for damage control, and instead she decided he was her safe haven.
I loved how quickly her ex backed down when he finally showed up. Once he realized he couldn’t intimidate her anymore he just went away & that’s exactly what Abby deserved. I feel like the whole restaurant manager situation was a little unresolved. Like with how vocal she was about Abby as an employee & stuff for her to quietly leave after an issue with the bar manager didn’t fit to me…but maybe that is because I am so used to the darker stories & I was trying to find the evil in someone.
This might have been my fastest read through of one of Jillian’s books so far. It was the perfect read for our fall break when the weather started shifting and all I wanted to do was sit under a heated blanket while I read nonstop. I can’t wait to see where Jillian takes us next!
When Abby leaves her boyfriend she doesn't exactly leave alone. Sometimes the best part of someone is their pet and in Abby's case, her now ex-boyfriend's dog, Echo, is now hers. Abby also happens to have terrible sense in timing and direction. When she ends up going North instead of South right before a snowstorm, she thinks she'll need to sleep in her car. Enter Bryant who saves the day and also happens to be a scent match, as well as his pack brothers Luka and Lawson. They also have a dog as energetic as Echo, know how to exist in the snow, own a couple local businesses, and more. Abby never wants to rely on others, but maybe this winter she can find where she belongs. I love how much I laughed at Echo's antics as I have two dogs with high energy and drive and know exactly how they behave like Echo. They also would make me snatch them on an adventure and most times listen. I love that Echo still protected Abby even if Echo didn't enjoy listening much, which is on point for the breed. Abby was so easily to like and connect with, as well. I too have no sense of direction, and she didn't want to be a bother to anyone. She didn't want to burden her brother and his pack, and appreciates Bryant, Luka, and Lawson, but again doesn't want to be a bother. When she gets snowed in with the biggest Alpha in the pack, I knew I'd fall in love. Lawson just wants someone to take care of and to be loved for who he is, which is said by Luka and Bryant several times. I was tickled that Abby fell for him first, because he deserved it so much.
Some tropes: AAAO Dog relocating Caretaker Alpha Snowed In Why Choose No OW drama No 3rd act breakup
This was an average if slightly boring read until Abby's heat hit then it was awful.
Abby dug her toes into the person fucking her several times and that was weird. She also plants her feet on Lawson's ass in one chapter.
Then there was just the endless amount of times they worked to fit their giant dicks and knots onto her and all the breeding and swollen nub mentions. It was just so very repetitive. I much prefer less spice to mildly icky repetitive spice.
And Lawson claiming bites her lip? WTF was that?
And then suddenly right at the beginning of the next chapter there's anal. Not that I'm against anal it was just quite the surprise at the beginning of a chapter like that. And Abby's attitude and dialogue during heat and sex is just off putting in general.
Abby's heat started in chapter 23 which is 65% into the book. I stuck it out like a good little soldier until the surprise anal in chapter 29 which is 83% into the book. I then decided to skim ahead because I am very very bored. The heat officially ends at the end of chapter 30 which is 87% into the book. 22% of this book has been one long repetitive sex scene.
I also decided I don't like the soul mate bond thing it's dumb and unnecessary. The confrontation with Tommy was just insanely stupid but very very typical for this type of book so I'm not holding that against it. I disliked both the epilogues tremendously especially the first one they were so incredibly lame.
Why did I read this whole book? I could not tell you. I didn't enjoy it. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone else and I'm not sure if I would give this author another chance.

Jillian writes some of the best low angst Omegaverse books! This was just a purely sweet book of an omega named Abby leaving her crummy ex with dog in tow when she is found sleeping in her car by her soul match, Bryant. He puts her up in the empty apartment above the pack’s bar and when Lawson is caught in the winter storm that has him seeking shelter in the pack’s apartment unknowing a mysterious omega is staying there. One snowstorm later and let’s just say Bryant, Lawson, and their other pack member, Luka, want to keep her forever.
I really enjoyed this book. I always love Jillian’s characters and I must say, Abby might be one of my favorite FMCs. I really enjoyed that she wasn’t shy about her feeling for the guys. It helped push the story along nicely because the men knew she was interested and then we could really get into the relationship aspect. I looooooved how much they spoiled and pampered her. If the universe is listening, please let me find these men. 🙏🏼 😂
The only reason I didn’t give this book 5 stars is that I felt like we didn’t get to know Luka as well as the other two. Bryant was the soul match, Lawson spent the entire snow storm with Abby, and Luka just sort of came along for the ride. I loved Luka and Abby loved him just as much as the others, but if you took him out of the story, I wouldn’t really notice, if that makes sense? I loved all the alphas but wish Luka would have had a bigger moment with Abby.
