Excitement from beginning to end.
I enjoyed reading "Decoy", the previous book in this series, so I jumped at the chance to read this one. A large merchant ship has been heavily modified to become a deadly secret weapon in the battle against modern day pirates. This book chronicles it's adventures in pursuing this task.
It so easily could have become just a "shoot 'em up" tale, and there plenty of that, but so much more. Along the way readers are treated to a wealth of information, including navigation and seamanship, modern weapons, hi tech electronics, the geography of the seas and islands of the indian Ocean and elsewhere, and plenty of other things. Yes, there is a phenomenally high body count and some graphic scenes, but against ruthless pirates then ruthless actions can be necessary.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
