She has always known how everything in her life will be, until now. For as long as she can remember, Stacy Alexander has always kept her life together, never once doing anything to jeopardize it. But that was before she found her husband Ned in bed with another woman when she came home early from work.
The furthest in the future for him has always been tomorrow One of the six chiefs of the Sons of Judah and who’s had more hot women than hot meals, Marco Fernandez doesn’t do long term—not with women, not with shakedowns, not with anything. More of an unstoppable force, he does what needs to be done with no thought for what tomorrow may bring. Nothing more, nothing less.
A chance meeting that never should have happened. When Marco is told to retrieve money from one of the Sons’ longtime clients, Ned Alexander, he thinks nothing of it. It’s a simple shakedown job: get in, get the money, and then get out. But if so, then why is he suddenly alone with Stacy? Why are her clothes pooling on the floor? And why can’t he shake her from his head, no matter how hard he tries?
EXCERPT
His hand on her arm stopped her before she could reach the door. “You think I don’t want you?”
“Look, its fine really. You did the sensible thing. I was the one going mad. Too much to drink, you know.” She attempted a smile but failed. “I need to leave now.”
He made her turn around. “You think I don’t want you?”
She stared into his eyes. Suddenly, she couldn’t breathe. Why-oh-why did she come here? She could only plead temporary insanity in her defense. “It…looks like that.”
“I want you more than any other woman I ever desired,” he admitted in a voice that hoarse with emotion. As she gazed into his eyes, Stacy could see the honesty of his claim. He meant what he said. While most men would have used this line to secure a romp in the bed, she could see that he didn’t have that purpose in mind. “And the only reason why I turned you down is because when we make love, I want you to remember each and every moment. When I run my hands on your beautiful body, I want you to anticipate each move and relish it.” He brushed a lock of her hair away from her face. “And when I kiss you, I need you to enjoy it.”
This was a short quick read that I liked. Stacy caught her husband cheating and now he owes money to some bad people an they want payment. I liked Marco right away. This is the first book in this series. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading this next book in this series.
This book was so bad. I suggest the author go back and read what she wrote. The book was one big mess of confusion. I could not believe the mistakes. In this book Stacy can't cook, Marco loves chocolate cake, and Stacy rides home on the back of Marco's bike after the first date. As the story continues, Stacy can now cook, Marco hates chocolate because his great mother used to OD on it and Stacy never ride on a bike before because when she was a teenager she fell off a bike and broke her wrist. Where was the editor for this author. Nothing made sense or added up. The author had no idea what she wrote at the beginning so as the story continue it all went to hell in a hand basket. CAN YOU TELL I AM PISSED OFF! Bad bad writing.
I loved Marco right off the bat...something about bad boys...Stacy is really confused and hurt. I'm sure her life is going to change big time..This is a CLIFFHANGER!! I don't like cliffhangers! It seems like a okay story if she stays with Marco and her ex Ned (slimy) doesn't cause her trouble!
Not like the MC books I normally read. The H is an enforcer and a chief, which I take to mean an officer of the MC. There isn't much about the MC in the story other than a couple of interactions with one or two other members in one scene. Seems like the author spent a lot of effort separating the H from the MC and strictly focusing on the budding relationship with the h. It's all sweet and cuddly but the h is one of those females who overthinks every dang word or deed, the kind that drive me crazy. If this hadn't been a Kindle Unlimited choice, I probably would have passed.
Terrible!! Confusing one minute she is riding on his bike next she is terrified to ride because of an accident when she was younger. Dialogue not even sure where to begin with that issue. "Organ"what motorcycle riding man who is in a biker club and also known as an enforcer refers to his penis as an "organ". I have read several MC books they can be rather vulgar but fits the characters. These characters were very confusing and contradicting. Not worth reading even if it is free!!
This story had so much promise as a concept. The writing style, the f low of one sentence to the next and character development were amateurish and underwhelming.
This book wasn't bad but it was a little boring. It does have drama and sex and romance. But he was a little wimpy for my taste. You can tell she is the alpha in the relationship.
Finally a MC romance that has one hot man being faithful to his lady love, no random girls hanging around the MC. I loved the story and the characters.
Ugh. More along the lines of old-school mob story or think in terms of gentlemen 1%er bikers.....just can't reconcile it in my head and so I can't get past the 50pg mark.
