Renegade Hearts

Rate this book
MEET THE FORMIDABLE MEN OF THE KINNISON LEGACY

When tragedy strikes the lives of three young boys, they are placed under the care of wealthy cattle baron, Jed Kinnison. He raises the three as his own, leaving everything to them, including a special dream he had for the ranch.

Dalton has the reputation as a good-timin'man. But this past year his life was upended. With both brothers now married, its' enough to make this bachelor turn on his heel and run. Until the past waltzes back into town, looking more beautiful and less interested than when last they met. Dalton, usually on the run from relationships, finds himself trying to convince Angelique that he's a keeper. And while her kisses imply her attraction, she's holding something back and Dalton's determined to find out her secret.

Angelique's past is the topic of an afternoon talk show--caring for an alcoholic mother, involved in an abusive relationship that nearly cost her and her daughters lives. Fate offer her a second chance to turn things around, but when she returns to End of the Line, sparks fly between her and Dalton and threaten to reveal secrets that could change their lives forever.

The Kinnison boys are now men. They have lived, learned and found love and happiness except for Dalton. Now it's his turn. The trouble is he's fighting his destiny. He won't admit that Angelique has his heart. Dalton and Angelique both have their demons. The past has crippled their ability to give and receive love. I felt Dalton's pain but I wished that alcohol wasn't his crutch. Angelique is hiding a devastating secret. It explains so much. Her desire and love for Dalton is still there but she doesn't dare let her guard down. My heart was all fluttery when Dalton would call her Angel. How romantic! The chemistry between Dalton and Angelique is very potent. I'm anxious to see how Dalton will react when he realizes that he's in love with Angelique. Will this be his wake up call? Will he become the man that I know he can be? Their sexual attraction and caring make for an amazing romance that swept me up in their story. Renegade Hearts was impossible to put down. The characters were compelling and the story centered on the family bond. Emilee, Angelique's little girl, is a firecracker and wise beyond her years. I enjoyed her so much. I, also, liked the way the Kinnison Family supported each other. I felt their love and caring. The ending was so powerful that I was in tears. Amanda McIntyre has outdone herself. The third book in the Kinnison Legacy is wonderful celebration of love and second chances.

The last Kinnison to fall in love! I think Dalton was my favorite because the ones who want the bachlor life are the ones who fall harder for their girl. He always seemed to be away from family or just trying to separate himself maybe because he wants what his brothers want. I get how she had trouble saying yes to Dalton because of her past relationship but she needed to learn how to move on and fix her relationship with her daughter. The big secret...took her long enough to say it but I liked that he didn't overreact. Glad they finally got together took them long enough but overall they were great together and everyone knew it.

Dalton’s life has changed considerably, everyone around him seems to be getting married and starting families of their own. Dalton can’t let go of how his mother just abandon him and his brother’s and doesn’t want a relationship, but he can get Angelique out of his mind. That one night they spent together so long ago makes him crazy. How can he want someone who left her daughter with her Aunt and Uncle and decided to show back up again? Will these two be able to move forward and leave their terrible pasts behind? Great read, the characters in this series will melt your heart. The chemistry between Angel and Dalton is hot! Loved It!

At midnight I got my brand spanking new copy of "Renegade Hearts" of the Kinnison Legacy series by Amanda McIntyre.... I love this story Dalton was the brother I looked forward to finding his way and having his story told. He lived hard and held his feelings deep. He needed just the right woman to set him on fire and make him believe he could have a chance at lasting love. ENTER Angelique "Angel" she has her own history to work through but they are just the right medicine for eachother added a dose of Emily and they finally find the home they deserve! A must read!!!

Enjoyable

Enjoyed the third book in the series. Some minor inconsistencies that weren’t explained properly but on the whole I enjoyed the book.

Dalton's Redemption

Fantastic story! I think Dalton is my favorite Kinnison brother. He's struggling to belong with the rest of the family finding their happily ever afters, he is the odd man out. That is, until he rediscovers Angelique and all of her secrets.

Ugh. I really hate when women lie about paternity and keep the truth from the father for YEARS, especially when they just assume he doesn't want kids.
Why was he good enough to bang unprotected, but not, good enough to at least tell that you are pregnant? If he doesn't want to be responsible, at least you gave him the choice.

Dalton stared for a moment at his hands uncertain he could put into words how he felt without sounding like a whiny-ass baby. Hearts-to-heart were not his thing. He’d just as soon take his fishing pole, head up to the cabin in the woods that Jed had built for hunting and sort things out on his own.

She glanced at Dalton. “And the answer to your questions is, yes. Men can drive women bat-shit crazy.” She tipped her gaze to Rein. “And not just in bed, darlin’. Guys can be just as hard to figure out as women.”

“There is no us, Dalton.”
He shook his head. “Yeah, well I’m not making that same mistake twice.” He looked away, then challenged her with a steely look. “Unless you tell me right now you don’t feel a damn thing for me. Then, I swear to God, I’ll leave you alone.”

“Just please leave me alone. Leave Emilee alone. Please.”
“Angel? What the hell? Just tell me what I’ve done.”
“It’s not you, Dalton. All this time, I’ve been living a lie. I’ve lied to you, to my daughter, and worse, I’ve lied to myself, thinking it wouldn’t matter.”
“You’re not making any sense.” He shut off the truck.
“No, please, you have to leave. Just go,” she said, her sobs choking out the words.

Reasoning that the more time they spent together, the more she’d be able to trust him…ironically. “Why wouldn’t she tell me? Why’d I have to find out like this? As if it didn’t matter--as if I don’t matter.” I have a little girl who’s almost seven--seven.” He tried to understand, but just couldn’t. He looked at Rebecca. “I’ve missed out on seven years.”

The Kinnison Brother's return in the third installment of this great series, Dalton, the youngest of the brothers is happy for his siblings that they have found their wives and are happy but he is feeling like an outsider, like something is missing. Until someone from his past comes back to town, Angelique, who meant something to him, and he finds out that the feelings are still there. They both are hesitant to open up and let their feelings out, afraid of what will happen, leads to a bumpy road to what they both know they want, each other.

I found this book to be very heart warming and wonderful. It not only has the romance and the hotness of cowboy's, but it also has action and some suspense of what will happen to and with the characters. I felt the emotions of Dalton and Angelique as they went through their journey to be together. All together an amazing addition to the already awesome series.

Wow! What a series!

I was really surprised with Dalton, he was not one of my favorite characters in the first two books and I wasn't sure I wanted to read his story. I am SO glad I did!! He actually is a really good man that had a lot of anger and hurt from his mom and his loss of Jed.
My feelings about Angelique were mixed. She had a rough past, but I didn't think her secret was fair to those affected (I can't say what the secret is, it would be a total spoiler). But she overcame her past and things turned out.
The Sexual Tension between Dalton and Angelique was palpable. They fought it long and hard, but in the end....you'll need to read and find out what happened.
I love this series, the characters are awesome. I am really curious about Clay and Sally. I haven't looked on amazon to find out if they have a book, if not I hope there will be. I wouldn't mind hanging out in End of the Line some more.

I have really enjoyed this series from the beginning to the end. Amanda can truly write a good cowboy love story. Three books, three brothers, if not by blood then by circumstance, have come full circle in these wonderful cowboy stories. I've been waiting for Dalton to grow up and get his head out of his ass since Wyatt's book and believe me he does it in this book. Sometimes it just takes a strong woman to whip a bad boy into shape. Years of keeping secrets can catch up to anyone and that's exactly what happens to Angelique. When your secrets are so big that they will effect everyone around you things are definitely going to blow up in a huge way. Truth, love and forgiveness find their way into you heart when you read this book. Sad to see it end but enjoyed every page of all three books.

The Kinnisons return in the third installment of the series. We are getting to know Dalton Kinnison the youngest brother. Wyatt and Rein have found their wives and a baby girl has been born. With all of the new happenings at the ranch Dalton is feeling out of place. Now that Angelique has returned home from Chicago old memories and old feelings start to flow between the two. Angelique has secrets that she wants to keep from everyone especially Dalton.
Amanda McIntyre has written a fantastic series with the Kinnison Brothers. I love all of the books and couldn't wait to get to Dalton's story. I couldn't wait to find out about Dalton and his past and the demons that he drinks away. I hope that there are more books in the series, because there are more wonderful characters that populate the small town of End of the Line.

Awesome story

This is Dalton & Angelique's story of their past, and present lives with the Kinnison family. Dalton one of 3 Kinnison brotherswere taken in by Jeb Kinnison, raised to be fine young men who took over the ranch and made Jebs dream of creating a healing horses retreat a reality. Dalton and Angelique were fascinated with each other in high school having a one night stand, then Angel disappeared back yo the city. She married an abusing drug dealer-unbeknownst to her until well into her marriage Having Emilee brought joy to her life, when her husband threatened Emilee she sent her back to stay with her Aunt and Uncle.
Angel returns to End of the Line(town), to be around family. Dalton and her kindle their friendship, leading to them admitting their love for each other. Then trouble strikes. Very very good story.

Renegade Hearts

Good summer read. Interesting characters good plot. The only thing that really bothered me about this book was the many mistakes I saw in the spelling. The proof readers or certainly the editor should have seen and corrected these. To me they take away from the enjoyment of reading. I get lost in the plot and characters but lose that when I have to stop to figure out what a word is supposed to be or when a word is used improperly, ie knew instead of new in one instance.
Other than this its a good read and I recommend this as well as the other 2 books in this series.

When a story can make me cry, I know it is a winner. Amanda McIntyre nailed this one. It is a story of lost love, found love, and new love. The sexual tension is so thick in this storyline you need something to cool you down. Losing some of the loved ones in his life has caused Dalton to build walls and never take a chance. Angelique’s abusive life had caused her to have huge trust issues. Will Dalton take a chance? Will Angelique’s secret destroy Dalton and any chance they may have together? Will her ex-husband reenter Angelique’s life? Read this quick and easy story to find out. This can be read as a standalone but I recommend the series.

I loved Dalton he reminds me of someone I know. Angelique is a strong character but very stubborn to the point of stupid. They Both have pasts and Angelique had a pretty bad one. Will it keep her from showing her true feelings to Dalton? And will Dalton open up to her and show her what kind of man he can be?
This book had great side characters, too many to name but they all played their part especially young Emilee. Without family you have nothing.

But I recommend you read RUGGED HEARTS book 1 which is Wyatt's and Aimee's story and then book 2 RUSTLER'S HEART which is Rein and Liberty's story first.

Dalton Kinnison is the third brother and he finds that Angelique's return to End of the Road Montana is enough to tame both of their Renegade Hearts. She comes with secrets and isn't ready to share and settle down which is a switch for Dalton and shows him how it feels to be rejected.

She is hiding her past from him and the truth about her daughter until it all comes to a head and he almost loses her but finds what he has always wanted a woman to love and a family to take care of and his happy ending to match his brothers.

I was very ready for the story of the brother that seemed to be hiding the most hurt, Dalton, and Angelique. Angelique crushed on Dalton for as long as she could remember until one fiery night. I wanted to shake Dalton several times and tell him to open his heart, but in the end it was worth the turmoil to watch love capture them both. Lots of hidden emotions explode in this story and only true love will fight through it all.

3-3.5 stars

I'm have mixed feelings about this book. Perhaps it's because it has a lot of 5 stars and it was on my TBR list for a long time but it didn't work for me.
The drama and the relationship seemed forced.
I know many others have enjoyed it but it didn't work for me.

Such a good heartfelt romance.

I was so pulled in to Angelique and Daltons story I read it in one day! Loved their struggles trying to figure out how to make things right and begin the life they'd always wanted. I highly recommend this book as well as all of the stories of these three brothers.

Recommend this series.

A really good series. Getting to know the Kinnison family, the hurts they grew up with, the remarkable man who saved them, and their loves and friends was such a satisfying read. Recommend this series. They're stand alone novels, but as the characters move from book to book, I'd recommend reading them in order. Some sex incidences but not erotic.

Dalton's and Angelique"s story

There is always a "bad boy" in every family, and Dalton is that guy. He's a good man, loyal to his brothers and a free spirit. Loved the characters and the closeness of this family. I'm would recommend that you read books 1 and 2 too. Great story.

Really great series

I enjoyed every book in this series, but, this was the one I was waiting for the most. Dalton was the misunderstood one in the family. Everyond Chou he was the good time guy who never took thing's seriously, but he was very complicated instead.

I enjoyed Dalton the most.

I'm still concerned about the need to proof read for the missing words, wrong words, misspelled words and repeated words. Still felt the story line was great.
