Very spooky book about dolls being possessed by evil entities. You will want to leave the lights on with this book.
Oh and if you have dolls sitting on your bed - lock them in the garage while you are reading this book. Giving this one five stars for keeping me spooked!
We've all heard tales of haunted dolls, regardless of our positions on the scale of skepticism. Collected here are a pile of those stories, from well-known miniature miscreants such as Robert and Annabelle, to internet mainstays like Harold the Haunted Doll, and numerous lesser known dolls with... Ahem... Questionable habits and provenances.
Regardless of your belief standpoint, each article is interesting and well written, and some of them - Claire and Peggy come immediately to mind - are incredibly disturbing. The last section and it's warning of "caveat emptor" as regards deliberate purchase of "haunted" objects is perhaps a much needed warning, whether you take it to avoid being scammed or because you don't really want that lovely Eeyore plush choking you to death one night.
All in all, a fun read and had some cases and information I hadn't seen elsewhere before, so worth checking out if this is your sort of thing.
Scary doll stories and written by one John Harker! I loved the author's name so much I just had to read this book, oh, and the subject matter appealed to me too.
I seriously hate dolls, they're creepy and just collect dust and whenever they're featured in a horror film they're always up to no good.
Yes, I believe in ghosts, I've had a couple of ghostly experiences. I've seen orbs float on by in my living room, evil specter type things in my bedroom doorway, felt that feeling of being watched several times. I'm sorta scared of ghosts but I'm terrified of devil dolls. This book has strengthen my stance on allowing dolls in my home and that stance is "Oh, hell no!!"
This book is a fascinating account of well known haunted dolls and the hauntings that occurred around them. This full color e-book does contain photos that you may not want to view along with website information where available. You definitely would not want to own one. Well researched and very informative, like his other haunted Ouija board stories, you will not want to own one. I read this book using immersion reading while listening to it. The narrator was clear and concise. Lovers of the paranormal will enjoy this book.
Excellent and most interesting book! Do love to read about the paranormal including this one but pleased to say that I am not in the slightest tempted to go buy such an item from eBay or anywhere else for that matter! No, sirreee!!! 😁
This book was amazing to read and very insightful to haunted dolls in particular, however still does not change my concept of how much I hate dolls. But I chase my fears and maybe hope one day I can over come. But until then I will stick to reading about them
Even those well read about haunted dolls will enjoy this book.
This was a very good read. As an avid watcher of paranormal documentaries, I was pleasantly surprised that the author of this book pointed out historical inaccuracies about the origins of dolls such as Robert. While a haunting can't be factually proven, it is there where this book feeds the imagination. I would recommend this book to anyone researching haunted dolls, and I am really pleased at the mentioning of dolls I've never heard of, since most documentaries and books often review the more famous dolls such as Anabelle, Robert, and Mandy and don't do research into new dolls to also entertain advanced readers of the paranormal. Really enjoyed this.
What a little gem of a book. Short but fascinating.
It covers the famous ones like Annabelle but other stories I have not come across before and they were brilliant.
Really interesting the fact that some cultures believe in soul transference from somebody who has just died to an object such as a doll. Unfortunately for the person who then purchased that doll some pretty strange stuff occurs.
If you are scared of dolls and clowns in particular you will find this truly terrifying. Well worth a read.
A creepy book about Demonic Dolls that chills you. Especially when you see some of the photographs that accompany the stories. A very interesting quick read.
