Hold onto your hats, mystery readers! You're in for a bumpy ride with this latest Justice and Mercy cozy mystery. Father Tom Greer and Helen, his wife and Myerton Chief of Police, investigate the shooting death of Adam Madden in his home. Adam was the financial advisor to Brent Cooper's investment company, which was financing his architect cousin Tim Cooper's newest project, Myerton Town Centre. The money for the project was found to be dirty money. Could this fact have led to Adam's murder? Or did something else factor into his death? Find out by reading this wonderful book, which I highly recommend to other cozy mystery readers. I received an ARC of this book, and the opinion expressed is strictly my own.

I absolutely loved this installment of *The Mercy and Justice Mysteries* series! *The Cutthroat Cousin* is filled with action and captured my attention right from the start. Architect Tim Cooper has proposed a unique mall development that initially receives positive feedback from the community. However, trouble brews when protestors show up at the groundbreaking ceremony. Vandalism soon occurs at the project site, and it appears to be the protestors' work.

Chief of Police Helen Greer has launched an investigation. As the case unfolds, information comes to light regarding questionable financing that Tim’s cousin, Brent, obtained for the project. When Brent's financial advisor is murdered in his home, it seems reasonable to suspect the protestors, but rumors suggest that Brent may have connections to the mafia. Chief Helen Greer and Father Tom are faced with yet another mystery to solve!
