Tom Carver is a lonely man. Despite his professional success, true happiness continues to elude him. That is, until he calls Life Companion Enterprises and something extraordinary happens. That one call will change the trajectory of his life in ways he can't possibly anticipate... especially when he learns the voice on the other end of the line isn't exactly who she claims to be.

There's a lot of depth to this short story, more than I would have expected from the product description. Boy meets girl in an unusual fashion, but that's only the surface development. This is the type of story where you watch the unfolding events with both interest and dismay. Tom, sadly, is not very bright, and his emotional instability is a bit alarming. It makes him the perfect patsy-oops, I meant partner-for Eve.
Intelligence without morality is a disturbing notion that is skillfully illustrated here. This is fast-paced reading with food for thought, well written and entertaining from the first page. I'll be interested to see where the story goes in the next installment.
What a great concept and story from Logan Thomas Snyder. I picked up Becoming Violet a few weeks ago, but just got around to reading it yesterday. Boy am I sorry I waited. At first, I thought it was a typical "Bicentennial Man," Isaac Asimov robot story with a man dissatisfied with his robot. Snyder, however, took the story in a new direction, giving the reader an introspective, yet action-filled tale of love in the face of trials. What does it mean to love? Does it have to be between two humans or can it be more than that? I thought BV was a great short story and look forward to what Mr. Snyder has next for his readers.
Sweet little story. Quite riveting I must say. Had my attention all the way through. Seems like a great foundation to make into a full length novel. Do keep on writing.
