Modern and ancient prophets have implored us to “remember, remember.”
In this enlightening and informative volume, popular author, speaker, and scholar Alonzo Gaskill shares his unique insights to help you remember what matters most.
Remember the sacred nature of the sacrament. Remember who your children are. Remember to testify. Remember the name of Christ. Remember to be patient with yourself. Reexamine your approach to gospel living and refocus your efforts to reach exaltation. This is a transformative book and a wonderful addition to any gospel library.
I thought this book would be only about the Sacrament, but it consists of many things other we need to remember as well. I loved it. I only wish I won't forget all the things the author counseled the reader to remember...
I was looking for something appropriate to read in a Sunday so I picked this up. It was an easy read full of nuggets of truth. Great reminder especially in our society, pulling you in different directions. When it boils down to it, only a few things matter in the eternities.
"It is in remembering that we find the strength to resist evil and do what is right. Is it in remembering the sacred things of God that they become holy to you and me."
"Our exaltation will be determined less by how far along the path we made it before we died and more on which direction we were facing. Remember, if our eyes are riveted upon the Lord, He will attend to our imperfections (Philippians 1:6.) If our eyes are riveted on ourselves, however, we will find no end of deficiencies and no ability to correct them."
Each chapter in this book is only a few pages long. Quick thoughts on what it means to remember significant life and doctrinal concepts. I loved it. Gaskell has a way of shedding greater light on simple truths--a way that makes me ponder. Another great book of his!
Loved this little book. Short 1-2 page chapters for a quick daily thought. It is easy to forget to remember! Remember is such a powerful word! So many hidden gems and quotes in this book.
