The first full moon for a bitten wolf is dangerous--for a bitten wolf away from their pack, even more so.
When born wolf Hamish MacAlister bites a human to save his life, the pack alpha orders Hamish to nurse the human through his first full moon. But Tommy Ortega is stubborn as a mule, reckless, irreverent, and--worst of all--unbearably hot. Hamish can think of only one way to ease him through the wild ride of his first full moon, and it involves pinning him to a bed. But is it just sex between them? Or is this connection deepening into something more, something he's never been able to admit to himself that he wanted?
Exotic dancer Tommy Ortega has one rule--nobody owns him. Not a pack, not an alpha, and definitely not the gorgeously rugged wolf who bit him. Hamish can warm his bed all he likes--Tommy's still not taking orders from him. But as his new wolf instincts take over, Tommy can't help wondering what it would be like to let Hamish have him exactly the way he wants.
And when a sinister force tries to tear them apart, both wolves must choose their own fate, and claim it for themselves.
Robin Moray is a storyteller by nature, with a love for realistic characters in fantastical situations and men having complicated emotions. Preferably naked.
If you spot Robin in the wild, try approaching with snacks.
tommy and hamish weren’t even very likable in the first two books for me really, but hamish seems to have had a bit of a personality transplant here and so i’m like okaayyy is this even the same hamish!?🙄 tbh i forgot to write a review for this after i finished, and now i can’t remember a damn thing that happened…so basically this is very forgettable!💀
I was bummed that this book wasn’t Michael, but I actually really enjoyed Hamish & Tommy. I wanted a little bit more *something* that this didn’t quite deliver, but overall, far less frustrating than Callum & Nero
Two sides of the same coin. Two people who have been disappointed, shoved aside and not giving a chance two show what they can really do.
Hamish has so many issues that you have to overlook his attitude. Father killed by your new Alpha, used to make that new Alpha jealous, and then not really given any input into the pack structure. No one takes him serious, and that eats at him constantly.
Tommy has abandonment issues so he has to be something that he is not. Stripping for him gives him that little bit of comfort and attention that he craves but that only lasts so long. Deep down he just wants a family to love him and just KEEP HIM.
Tommy and Hamish are thrown together when Tommy is attacked by something Hamish unwittingly does. He then has to save Tommy's life by giving him the "gift" of the bit. And that is how the story goes. I don't want to give anymore away so just read book three Claimed: Bond to the Alpha.
I liked this because I really like Tommy, in spite of himself, and Hamish is too impossible to resist. But, I don't really see how, as wolves who can feel and smell other's emotions they constantly misread each other. I kind of felt like the kidnapping was resolved a little too easily as well. But I did love that they didn't end up in a conventional heteronormative arrangement. And Jesse is a sweetheart. As always I love Moray's characters and I just want to see them happy.
I love this series. I liked this book, a lot! I like the Hammish/Tommy pairing. I was happy to see another side of Hammish and Tommy. They needed some exploring and some loving in their life. BUT I think the author did not push the story as far as it could go. I think the characters and their romance had some interesting potential, both have family issues, self worth and esteem issues. They both needed love. So you want them to figure it out and get it together to get together. There was potential to really show a deeper emotional connection, but the focus remained physical. It felt like a waste.
I liked this story, but it is a bit surface level. I also still want more books! The stories are cute!
I wanted a little more of something, but I’m not even sure what.
Recommend if you want something entertaining that is very quick to read.

Life is so damn difficult for both Tommy and Hamish. We only get a tiny bit of Tommy's past, but it's enough to hear the sadly familiar "crap family who refuses to love who you really are" tune. And although I know Hamish, it's different seeing his story when Callum tells Tommy how both Gabby and Gus were conceived. But that's way far into the book. Before they get to that point, there's plenty of UST and danger and craziness, and just enough communication through scent to forgive both of them for talking at each other instead of with each other. Overall, wonderful yearning for home and acceptance!
We know from the previous books that Tommy is commitment phobic, and that phobia becomes a large part of this book's plot. However, in this book, we still don't get Tommy's backstory. Not really. The reason he is so flighty is BARELY touched on in about two sentences.
I didn't like that their "HEA" is a long-distance relationship, because it felt, to me, like Tommy is still too scared to change anything or take any chances. (Why shouldn't Hamish change, you may ask. Because he has a baby who needs the woods and the pack, and his child's needs are more important.)
Another great book in the series. I love the author's style, her characters relatable and honest (in when they're lying). Some action and a whole lot of hot, sweaty, delicious sex between two men who didn't want each other, but the moon and proximity gave them more than they thought they'd want.
KU, action, book in series, paranormal, wolf shifter, fated mates, tattoos
The witches are back! And more of the world outside. I think I like these books more and more with each one as the world opens up and we see more ways of being werewolf/pack/mated. And really liked (and felt I understood) the tension between Tommy & Hamish and how they resolved it.
I like the story, the moon or love, duty or needs, and the adding of witches 😍, HEA, claro yo quería mas, gus interacting with Tommy, and what about Jesse?
I have been provided a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
I have enjoyed reading this series and this was no different.
From the other books i assumed Hamish was a lot older than he is and now i know his age it explains his previous behaviour.
This book allowed me to get a better understanding of Hamish ad at the end of the book i loved him. i did not however like tommy for some reason. i dont know what it was about him but i just couldnt connect to him.
i would love for the series to continue and maybe read jessies story and also see how the coules are getting along.
Susie Gilliam I have been provided a free copy of this book in exchange for my honest review. I've been waiting for Hamish's story and received a double treat with Tommy added on! It was erotic, humorous, and erotic! I love the way Robin adds humor into all her books, that touch of humanity added to the paranormal world. She added witches, bad and good. A needy little omega and a battling beta! Lots of surprises, twists and turns. You gotta read this it's awesome and I want Jesse's story soon!
