I got a kick reading this book because there is very little fat-loving literature. It is a novelty - the little I've read with a hefty MC has usually been about a soft, curvy woman and usually from her perspective mainly. To read the detailed descriptions in this book about a hefty male with s gooey middle from the perspective of the appreciative chaser was new and somewhat entertaining. That's what I based my rating on - otherwise I would have rated a 2 because though there was character description, there was little to no character development and absolutely no relationship development. Also, outside of the relationship working out, the HEA wasn't that great.
