Keep Me by Kathy Coopmans
Antonio Schavone is smart, sexy and intriguing. He has never given up in Shelby. Yes, she broke his heart. Yes, she left Michigan.
But she is coming back.
Antonio knows Shelby is it for him. He also knows that she has a past full of pain. She hasn’t really experienced man or relationship. He is willing to be her first everything. Her stubborn ways will not make him move on it will pull him closer.
Shelby Morris, is beautiful, outgoing, and very stubborn. Faced with a secret that’s she had for years, she is convinced that alone is best for her. Antonio Schovone however does not think that an opinion. Shelby hides is excellent at hiding. She uses her job as a scapegoat.
Antonio is determined to make them an item. He is going to find a way even with the Queen of Stubborn!!!

Kathy Coopmans novel titled Keep Me. I am a fanatic fan of Mrs. Coopmans. Keep Me did not disappoint. Antonio and Shelby story knock me on my arse. I totally loved them. You will find yourself loving them, laughing at them, AND screaming at Shelby!!!! Kathy writing is amazing and she keeps growing as an professional writer the more books she releases. She has mastered all the appropriate skills on a exceptional writer. She has a keen sense of how to grab the reader and keep them involved with the whole book. The side characters are just as important as the main characters. She has totally amazed me how much you connect to the context of this story and I will be raving about this whole series for a lifetime. Kathy also doesn’t have to write several sex scenes in her novel because you are invested in the plot immediately. For me this is a powerful skill she has. I will always read Kathy Coopmans and look forward to more books in the future.

Good read
This was a good read with amazing characters and wonderful friends. There is pain but a lot of passion in this book.

This is the third book in the series and I think you should read them in order. If you have not read the second book you will miss much of how Antonia and Shelby meet and started their relationship. This book was sad at times, but I loved it. Shelby is a twenty-five year old virgin and Antonio isn’t the type of man who has a girlfriend. Shelby has her reasons for why she is still a virgin and now ones them except for her grandmother and her best friend Markus. After what she did in book 2 she has been having nightmares that mixed with her reasons for being a virgin she is pushing away Antonio. Antonio has spent the last four months since Shelby left kicking himself. He shouldn’t have let her leave like that; he should have gone after her. Now that she is back for her sister, Erin’s wedding Antonio isn’t going to let her get away again. He is going to show her how much she means to him and how she has changed him. Antonio and pretty much every close to Shelby want her to be happy. Her friends and family have helped Antonio plan something special for Shelby. Shelby is about to go on a life changing journey with Antonio showing her how to love and live again. I loved the other books in this series and loved this one just as much. Kathy Coopmans writes a story that pulls you in. The characters are wonderful and have depth to them. Shelby has pretty much lead a pretty sheltered life. Then after protecting her sister and pushing Antonio away before she went back home she has completely pulled into her shell. She works and then goes home. She doesn’t interact with any of her friends besides Markus. Antonio never wanted to be with one woman until he saw Shelby. Then when she left to go back home he realized he didn’t want anyone but Shelby. Will Shelby be able to overcome her doubts and let Antonio in? Shelby has so much going on in her head all the time and has trouble not overthinking things. She has a secret and thinks it will stop Antonio from wanting to be with her when he finds out. Will it? I wish there were going to be more books in this series. Everyone is having babies and I would love to read about them. I love Kathy Coopmans; she is a fantastic author and one on my watch list. I am always excited when she releases a new book; another great job Kathy Coopmans.

What a GREAT ending to an AMAZING series !! Luke , Adam and Antonio are amazing men and I have enjoyed their journeys and might have melted some panties or forced some cold showers due to their HOTNESS.
We got a brief glimpse of what Shelby and Antonio could be like in the last book and if you were like me you were impatiently waiting for the damn to break , the ball to drop , for anything to happen to force their true feelings out. By now reading any book in this genre you know it isn't always going to be easy , someone will have a secret and someone if not everyone will make stupid choices. What I loved about A and S is that their struggles came straight from reality. Shelby has a secret she has kept since she was young BUT you may be surprised at what it is. Not at all what I expected. The BIG thing that almost ruined her and Antonio was also unexpected. Due to Antonio's past it could have been any number of things yet I felt it was something that could happen to anyone which made it easy to relate to the devastation Shelby felt. I think we feel that most of the guys we read , with their sex filled pasts and normal ways of treating women badly , will just always be horrible at love. This story and series is proof that sometimes it is just an easy way of life and inside these guys truly are amazing all on their own , not having to change but just believe. That is Antonio for me. It didn't take him much to be smitten and despite his knack for dirty talking and wanting more he toned it down enough to prove he could and would be so much more. I loved the dual POV because we could see not only how smitten Shelby was but then the fact that Antonio was just as bad !! With all the aspects thrown together you get just enough of everything to make this story balance out. I flew through , laughed , cried and felt for the characters. I of course enjoyed the glimpse of all the others , the kids and of course the major life events. The ending was sweet and well deserved. It is sad to see them go , there are a few others I would love to catch up !!

Keep me is the third book in the Shelter Me series and Kathy doesn't disappoint with her raw talent at writing an alpha male. Antonio is your red blooded Italian man who knows what he wants and he doesn't stop until he gets it. His eyes are set on Shelby and he will not take any prisoners in his mission to get his woman!
Shelby is a female who very easily flies of the handle at the littlest things and she has a mouth to her that would make a trucker blush! One of the hard things about reading this book is that I didn't really connect with Shelby as a character and I know it was because of her pushy no nonsense take no prisoners personality. Now just because this character wasn't written to speak to me it doesn't mean that she won't speak to you.
Although the book was a little choppy in places the strong pull that these two characters had was felt throughout the book and you fell in love with the two of them as a couple even before they were together.
Even in the midst of peril and struggle the love that Antonio felt for Shelby was a force to be reckon with and this book had me rooting for them from day one. Keep Me is the third book in the Shelter Me series featuring Antonio & Shelby who appeared in the previous books. Antonio is Luke Schavone's younger brother & Shelby is Erin's little sister who had a brief fling in the previous book & both are very different to their siblings. Antonio has a reputation as a carefree man-whore while Shelby is a sharp-tongued business women; they are opposites, but will they be able to pick-up where they left off, 4 months before? After all, their parting was not on good terms.
I found it very hard to like Shelby, she was irritatingly rude & aggressive. How she ran a successful business is beyond me & her complete turn-around in a matter of days was beyond belief! But in spite of this, I loved their story & Antonio was amazing. Don't be put off by my dislike/intolerance of Shelby; the book is well-written, fast-paced & a great romance, well worth reading.

Great way to end the series. I loved the banter between Antonio and shelby. I had a feeling of what Shelby's secret was and so I wasn't quite as shocked, but the way Antonio handled it and her was great. The series overall was very good.

And I will say again, why did I not review the first time I read this series?!!
This is book 3 and its Shelby's turn. She is Erin's firecracker of a sister and I love her so much. But she is hiding some kind of pain and mind was racing as to what it could be.
She and Antonio have a connection but man, does she fight it! He, however is determined to get past her barriers, show her that he isn't the man ho she perceives him to be. When her truths come out, he is there to pick her up and support her. My heart!!

Antonio is one amazing man. Shelby is one strong woman. They have an amazing chemistry. They are each other’s soul. What an amazing love they have for each other. It was a lot of fun seeing where there connection took the story.

Every single book by Kathy Coopmans is hot! This book is no different. I have been waiting for Antonio and Shelby's story for awhile now. I fell in love with them in Rescue Me . I have to admit it was worth the wait. Man, were these 2 hot and caring at the same time.
This book picked up a few months after Rescue Me ended. Shelby is going back for her sister Erin's wedding. She can not wait for her sister to marry Luke. What she can wait for is to see Antonio. Right before she left they'd gotten pretty close and he wanted to do a long distance relationship. There's a few reasons why she can't do it. Antonio is a male slut and she won't no refuses to be another notch on his belt. ESP since she's a virgin. Then,there's her secret. One that she's kept close to her. The only one who knows it is her best friend. Shelby hasn't ever told her sister. It's the reason why Shelby has stayed away from men. She won't start now.
Everything Shelby said to Antonio was true. Antonio can't and won't deny it. But, when Shelby threw it in his face it got to him. Then, she ignored his calls and texts since she's left. She could try and make him go away. But, little did she realize it just made him want her more. So, while she's here for his brother's wedding he will win her back. He's not taking no this time for an answer.
Even after 4 months the tension is still as hot and strong as before. Shelby is so mad at her body for betraying her. Shelby keeps telling herself to just get through the wedding and while she's in town watching her niece she needs to stay far away from Antonio. Antonio gives her until the day after the wedding to talk. Then, she will listen to everything he has to say. Until that day comes and the rules change. Antonio gets the help of Shelby's sister, best friend and cousin. Antonio is taking her away for 10 days of just them. He will prove to her that they belong together. No matter what she thinks. Shelby agrees to go. She knows she wants too. She truly cares for him. Shelby also knows she must let him in on her secret. She prays that he'll stay even after he knows about it.
Kathy Coopmans ended this series with the perfect couple. Antonio and Shelby are the same person just opposite sex. They both are loud mouthed and blunt. Neither are afraid to tell you how it is. Regardless of who you are. Both are career oriented. Him being a lawyer and her being a cook. They are also all about their families. They'd do anything for them. Neither one had ever had any kind of serious relationship. So, all the feelings they felt for the other one was new and they weren't sure how to handle dealing with it all. It was a foreign feeling. This book was non-stop. I read it in less then 6 hours. I was excited to start and devastated when it ended! LOL
I loved all the side characters. Of course most were from previous book. But, Shelby brought along her best friend who I think had me laughing the most in the brief time he was around! I am so sad to see this series ending. But, glad it ended with these 2 because they both deserved a HEA. I honestly can not wait to see what Kathy writes next.

Neither one had ever had any kind of serious relationship. So, all the feelings they felt for the other one was new and they weren't sure how to handle dealing with it all. It was a foreign feeling. This book was non-stop. I read it in less then 6 hours. I was excited to start and devastated when it ended! LOL
I loved all the side characters. Of course most were from previous book. But, Shelby brought along her best friend who I think had me laughing the most in the brief time he was around! Kathy Coopmans did it again she wrote another amazing love story.
This is Antonio and Shelby's story.
This is the third and final chapter in the Shelter Me series and I am sad to see it end. I have loved all three stories. Kathy delivers a love story like no other. She did it again. Shelby is such a strong and amazing woman who keeps some secrets of her own. She needs to learn that its ok to live life and have fun. There is more to life that work. She needs to learn to let her guard down and open her heart its ok to love someone and be taken care of.
Antonio is the typical play boy who has no desire to settle down in fact he razzes Luke and Adam about it all the time. He wants to only have fun in life. Can he ever be tamed? Can he become the "sap" that his brother became?
Neither one of them have ever had a real relationship Shelby refuses to tell her sister Erin why she will not have one. Antonio wants no part of a relationship and all the baggage that comes with one until he meets Shelby there is something about the smart mouth strong willed woman that he can't seem to let go but will she let him hold on her and keep her as his own? Or will they part ways and never give this attraction they have a chance?
As usual with Kathy there is twists and turns and the story takes you on a roller coaster of emotions that leave you begging for more. It starts right where the other one ends. The raw feelings that they have for each other are still there and of course the attraction that they have been fighting for so long.
If you have not read any of the other stories in the series yet that's ok because they are all standalones but why not read all three?
I gave this 5 stars because I love the way Kathy writes her books always have love and twits and turns and a little bit of crazy added in. It is the perfect mix for a great love story with some drama mixed in. I can't wait to see what is next from Kathy.

This is the third book in the Shelter Me series. Each does stand alone, but I recommend reading all and in order.
There are three main characters in this story: Shelby, Antonio, and Markus. I liked Shelby’s unique secret. Though she has kept the secret for 12 years, when it comes to Antonio, she is open and takes a chance on revelation for the sake of love. Antonio may have been a man-whore in the past, but once he saw Shelby, all bets were off. As a new man, he is unfailingly loyal, protective, and determined to win her heart. Markus is Shelby’s best friend and business partner in her restaurant back in Texas. He has a vicious sense of humor. He’s also determined to get her with Antonio so that they’ll both be happy. I didn’t particularly like some of the under-handedness, but that’s just my opinion. At times it skirted the edge of something nefarious, but never got there. Instead, you knew that, not only Markus, but all of Shelby’s friends, were leading her to where she wanted to go anyway.
This is the final book in the trilogy. While I don’t think it is the best of the three, I’m very glad that I didn’t miss out on reading it. It may be the funniest of them. Sarcasm is hard to convey, but Kathy Coopmans is able to do it and well. Even better than the taunting and tormenting that is beautifully done between Shelby and Antonio, I think Markus is over-the-top fantastic. He’s the gay guy-friend every girl wants/needs.
While this trilogy may be done, I look forward to what Kathy Coopmans will bring us next.

A conspiracy for love…
Shelby Morris was thrilled that her sister Erin and niece Sierra were happy with Adam. They deserved his deep love and commitment to their new family. Knowing that happiness was out of her reach she concentrated on a career, and business, that was her family. Adam’s brother Antonio had other ideas but, even though she felt attracted to him more than she ever had, she was happy they were in Michigan and she was safely in Texas. When she came back for the wedding, however, all bets were off and Shelby found herself up close and personal with Antonio once again. He knew it wasn’t going to be easy but their future was at stake. He was not going to let her go again.
“Now I want no one else but her. Her and her beautiful mind, body, and soul. I am going to make her mine.”
This is the third and final book in the series and Shelby has her turn in the spotlight. Shelby has kept herself distant from everyone but her close family and her best friend Marcus. When they all conspire to give Antonio the chance to plead his case with her the sparks fly in all directions. Their rocky road is paved with snow fights and sexy banter that would melt the coldest of icicles, or hearts.
“If you’re going to describe my dick, I would call it more like a ‘Lethal Weapon’ with a side of ‘Happy Gilmore’ who is going to ‘Die Hart’.”
This installment could almost work as a stand-alone but to really understand the dynamics of all the characters, as well as the lead up to Shelby and Antonio’s story, I would recommend reading the previous books first. Well-written, sexy, and funny, the rather abrupt, and tidy, ending didn’t take away from a great story/series.

In true to Kathy form..... She has hit the ball out of the park with Keep Me. In picking up where Rescue Me left off with Shelby and Antonio..... I was utterly floored! She kept me in suspense as to what was really going on with Shelby. And it was not at ALL what I had expected. The chemistry between Shelby and Antonio can only be described as explosive! You can feel the sizzle just reading the exchanges between the two. Whether it's the snarky comments or the ultra sexy sexual innuendos..... It's there! But don't believe for one minute this book is all sex... Because it's not. It's far from it. It's a real life, in your face, feels, epic romance story. It's two people with their own darkness coming together to be each others light. You really just find a sense of connection with these two, and yes, maybe even some jealousy because damn if Antonio isn't SMOKING HOT! I feel Kathy did complete justice to writing Shelby's character and keeping with her from previous books. Often times the author will change up a quirk but Kathy kept up the persona. And I've always been ultra curious about Antonio such as what makes him tick? Who is he really?.... And again, I wasn't disappointed. I feel she answered every single mental question I had. Now..... The sex?....... Pfft let's call it the Kathy Kama Sutra. She writes great sex but this book.... Was hot and lusty sex personified! I had to take breaks and fan my self at times.... And maybe even look over at my husband and give him the eye...❤️

I adore this author. Every book she has penned to date, I have read and loved. She has a brilliant way of sucking you in from the first page and giving you an amazing story. When I first discovered Shelter Me, she won me over and since then has become a definite go-to, must read, bump high on my TBR list ... author. Get ready to swoon, laugh, cry, smile, and most importantly fall in love.
I loved this book. This series has been an amazing one so far and I think I am confident enough to say that this was my favorite in the series. This book was super intense and passionate. It was also sexy, sweet, fun, edgy, has tons of laughs, and had quite a few twists and turns along the way. While this book is a standalone, I recommend reading this series is order for the most enjoyment.
This is Shelby and Antonio's story. Full of passionate and intense moments, their story is a beautiful one with flaws and imperfections along the way. Antonio will make you swoon and fall hard because he is a man who takes what he wants. He should come with a "carry around a fresh pair of panties at all times because you will need them" warning. Shelby will make you laugh, smile and have you rooting for her. She is fierce and definitely is someone you can relate too. These two were explosive together. Their connection is undeniable and their chemistry is off the charts. And between the sheets, whew hot! Get ready to fall in love with Shelby and Antonio.

Or will Shelby be feisty and to stubborn for Antonio to handle?
I have read and loved all of Kathy's previous book and this one is no different. I was so looking forward to Shelby's and Antonio's story and Kathy didn't dissapoint.
This book will have you laughing out loud one minute and having silent tears running down your face.
Even though Shelby has a dark secret no one knows about there is subtle hints thru the story that kind of let's you know what is wrong with Shelby.
Antonio is such an alpha man and what he wants he will get.
I noticed that even though Antonio seems like a hard bitter man at the beginning of the book he turns into such a funny sweet man towards the end.
Love the ending couldn't be happier for Shelby and Antonio. I will say I'm sad to see this series end. I really enjoyed getting to know this characters and the trials and tribulations they all went thru to get their HEA.

Keep Me is the third and final installment of the Shelter Me series (sniff, sniff) and it is so typical Kathy Coopmans style that it's hard not to love. All the previous characters are present along with the introduction of Marcus who is just the most amazing and funny best friend EVER! Shelby is not only dealing with the consequences of the previous books ending but also a secret she has held from everyone since she was 13. This secret as everyone she knows has grown up and got their HEA plays on Shelby's heart and Antonio is just the dominant and devoted man that she needs to pull her through. The banter between these two characters has always been the comic element in the series and in this final book I laughed so hard at times I almost cried.
This book is just as well written as the previous two and although I am sad the series has come to an end, Kathy Coopmans has ended the series in such a way that if this is all we have of these great characters then I am a happy reader. Would I love more, of course I would but that's the role of a great author right, to hook you in and make you fall in love with the characters and stories they create.
A beautiful series with some beautiful individuals and some perfect stories. This is a series to cuddle up on the sofa with and simply settle in and enjoy. I basically couldn't put it down and read all three in one sitting - can't wait to read more by Kathy Coopmans!

Antonio stole my heart, not only is he Hot and Sexy, but he has an Amazing heart. I loved how much he cared about Shelby, and would do anything for her. Their was a strong attraction between them, that neither one could fight and would sooner or later give into. Shelby is sweet and innocent, never been with a man before, but is turned on by Antonio, he brings feeling out of her that she has never felt before, and that scares her a little, she has things she is hiding that she doesn't feel like she can trust anyone with. Her best friend Markus is awesome, who wouldn't want someone like that to be their buddy, he is everything you look for in a friend. Antonio has always been a playboy that is until he meets Shelby,than he just wants what everyone close to him has, a family, and someone to love, and when he sees Shelby again she turns his world upside down, and he can't get her out of his head. Antonio and Shelby story will melt your heart, and you will fall in love with them. I'm sad this is the last book, this is one of my favorite series, love Antonio, I definitely recommend this book, and the Series, they are all Amazing.

Wow! Best fucking book in the Shelter Me series, by far. Kathy went out with bang with this one and hit it out of the park. I suggest reading the series to get to know all the characters, but you can skip right to this one. It gives enough back history you're not lost and focuses on Shelby and Antonio.
I love their characters. They are witty, snarky, and their chemistry is out of this world. Marcus, Shelby's best friend, had me pissing myself. There are true laugh out loud moments followed immediately by hot, ohmygod where the fuck is my fan I need a cigarette moments.
Shelby's secret isn't much of secret to me, but who am I to judge how a person feels about their own shortcomings. This books total focus is about love at first sight, allowing themselves to feel and go with it, and battling personal demons that won't let them commit. I swear, Antonio Shavone is a god and none of the other men in this series even matches up to him. Yep I've said it. He's sinfully hot, and his mouth has me wanting to sit on it. Did I just say that?! I did. Grab up this book, there is not a dull moment. You'll fall in love with both Shelby & Antonio and their love story. He WILL be your next fave book boyfriend, I swear it!

I guess this was the book that let me know I am for sure a Kathy Coopmans fan! She has the ability to write characters that I instantly connect with and make my fictional friends. My favorite thing about Kathy's writing is that her stories aren't these oh there's rainbows and sunshine all the time- she writes stories that imitate real life. The kind of stories you can connect with because they're so genuine.
Antonio is a man who sleeps around and has never even thought of settling down. He won't apologize for who he is and he's not ashamed, until, Shelby Morris comes along. Shelby is a woman on a mission; at 25 she owns her own restaurant and prides herself on being self sufficient. When Shelby finds out about Antonio's "extra curricular" activities she wants nothing to do with him. So, walking away should be easy, right?
***personally I would recommend reading this series in order. Yes, they're all standalones technically. But if you are the kind of person who likes background information or little details I would suggest reading in order. Trust me. I now I have to go back to the beginning ;)

Devastation hits and instead of letting her push him away, he stays by her side and pushes her to stay open with him.
With tragedy hitting Shelby realizes it's time to face her fears and follow her heart instead of letting something from her past control her.

I don't want to tell you what I really think
Honestly this review is going to be hard. Warning! Especially if you, like me, really enjoyed Shelter Me and Rescue Me. Proceed with caution. Enter at your own will. I apologize for nothing!
Shelby returns to Michgan for Erin and Adam's wedding. She brings along her favorite guy friend Markus who helps Erin concoct a plan to get Shelby and Antonio back together. These two characters were introduced in Rescue Me. Little was revealed in Rescue Me but you knew something was brewing. While Shelby is in town there is a lot and I mean a lot of whining about everything. She complains about the cold, her bridesmaid dress, the fact that her friend Markus surprised her by coming along on the trip. Seriously this girl is one toxic negative person. I hate her. Antonio seriously can't start a sentence without "F@*k Me" and for an Italian and a lawyer most of his thoughts just didn't seem realistic. I really wanted to like this couple. Even when Antonio whisked Shelby away for ten days and Shelby began to thaw I tried to like them but I couldn't.

I have to say I LOVE Markus and hope one day we can get his story. The banter between him and Shelby had me laughing page after page.
I felt I was able to connect with the characters and the story was a great read.
I recommend this book and can’t wait for the next story from this author.

Was looking forward to this one so much and for some reason I got bored early on and could not keep my attention on the story however I trudged on. I think I expected more, especially with the culmination of everything that happened in the last book with Shelby. The characters felt off, like they were totally different people, almost boring compared to the Antonio and Shelby from before. Not to mention the times I thought how far fetched something was, like really? What are the chances of that actually happening. To explain better, the story-line was rather sedate and everything just worked together so well, so fast and all fell flat in my eyes. The book was really good don't me wrong I just wanted more, especially with the final ending!!! :( Perhaps I wanted a bit more drama or a litle action, if that's what you too are looking for, this may be a letdown. There was sweet and overly sweet with mild drama so if that's your cup of tea then have it at :)
