For those of you who don't know me yet, I'm Rivanah Bannerjee, a Kolkatan trying to find her footing in Mumbai. Even though I’m currently in a relationship with a great guy, I can’t help but miss my ex-boyfriend despite knowing that he cheated on me. But that’s the least of my worries. The stranger has gone missing since the police tried to nab him unsuccessfully. Where is he? What does he want from me? Why did he come into my life in the first place? Will he ever contact me again? These and many more questions continue to torment me every day. I’m desperate for the stranger to come back to me knowing full well that he may destroy me forever. But then that’s the sexiest thing I have ever known about someone.
With every revelation, it seems the truth is far more twisted than Rivanah can imagine. Wickedly plotted, All Yours, Stranger—Novoneel Chakraborty’s gripping follow-up to his hugely popular Marry Me, Stranger—will keep you on the edge of your seat until the last page.
Didn't enjoy. The plot is messy, the characters are all over the place, doing whatever they want and the story has been dragged unnecessarily. And then there's those unnecessary fillers in the plots in an attempt to make the story more juicy, raspy, sexy and god knows what was on the author's mind. I just don't want to read the last book but don't want to keep the series hanging in the middle.
Undoubtedly Novo's best book, and I had said the same about 'Marry Me, Stranger', and this itself shows how much I have loved this book. Racy! Crude! Full of vivid descriptions! Nail-Biting Thriller, and by the end of it, the reader can't do anything but crave for the final installment of this Stranger series.
Novoneel is undoubtedly one of the best writers (and maybe underrated too) we have in India (for this genre). Being a fellow writer, I always look forward to his (and only his) books. Kudos man. You rock!
'Girlfriend', 'Boyfriend', 'Best Friend' etc. etc. are OVERRATED, guys. Go for this STRANGER Series!
So after reading the first book of the series, I thought ill read the second one in some time. But I couldnt wait. So again hats of to Novoneel you genius man. This is some good thriller. Ill get to the third book cant wait.
Whoa Whoa ! I'm trying my level best to keep calm while writing this review, But I really can't Control my Excitement.
Novo belongs to a "Different" level. I have read books by so many Indian Authors but none failed to entertain me like how Novo did :D
Often, In a trilogy, When the first Book becomes a hit and as soon as the 2nd Book releases, People generally have great expectations from that. They want the 2nd book to be even more better than the previous one. And let me tell you this honestly, "This book isn't a let down ". I can assure you that :)
The Trump card in the first book was the Stranger . Before reading the Second book, I was a bit skeptical and I thought the author would Mis-use the Trump Card and eventually spoil the element of surprise. But I'm very gad that nothing of such thing happened. The Author wisely used the " Surprise Element" at the correct places and at the correct time. He made sure he din't sound repetitive. I Should really appreciate that.
Like many other reviewers, I really do not wish to brief you up the story . It's useless doing such stuff. I'm writing this review to imply the fact that this book certainly worth reading. I pre-Ordered this book as soon as I finished the first one. Trust me, It's worth every penny.
During the Age where we come across thousands of trash books by Indians, Novo's Books are literally like Treasure.
Novo Redefines the Rom-Thriller Genre :D Maybe I find his books too good as I haven't read much books of this genre.
What are you waiting For?? Stop reading the reviews and Get your copy soon :D Please BUY the Book and Support the author. It's not easy to present a book of this standard. It's worth every penny. Shush !! Read no more. Buy it ASAP
Well..things just got murkier.. Basically the experience of reading this book is very similar to that of reading the first book..there's still little to no plot,Rivanah is as dumb as ever..but the stranger is as interesting as he was in the first book..I personally think the author doesn't want us readers to like Rivanah.. Otherwise ,why would he create a character with completely no redeeming quality? (pardon me, but i don't consider it to be a redeeming quality if you are literally blackmailed into doing some good work) ..call me backdated but somehow i don't like this author's idea of romance. Romance should not always be physical but it has to have a level of emotional attachments too..I terribly miss the emotional part here . And as far as the physical love goes..i could have gone without it..it felt like fillers and that too not very well done. The thrilling elements and the stranger in particular are the reasons which is keeping me from skipping it.So, let's just say while i won't be waiting for the final instalment of this book with bated breath, i will definitely wait for it ..albeit with a confused expression.. 3 stars.
It's a 2.5* My friend was so excited about this novel that she convinced me to read this too. While the mystery kept me turn pages,it was obvious that towards the end there would be a cliff hanger and there was. Thankfully I had the next one too with me so continued with the novel and the reviis going to be for both :All yours, Stranger and Forget me not, Stranger. The basic plot is clear if you read the blurb. The character Rivanah Bannerjee is both annoying and dumb. Personal opinion. The only exciting thing about this novel was Stranger. I kept on reading only to know where this is going. I didn't need the final novel to know what was wrong with Rivanah , pretty much easyto guess that. But I was sure even if I guessed the stranger, it wouldchange in the end albeit the grand twist and all! What irritated me was the whole romance or rather the lack of it.All the sex scenes were graphic and didn'thave a hint of romance. Rivanah has a crush on every guy she meets and she falls for them at the drop of the hat. The stranger kept saying he was trying to change her for better( lots of philosophical dialogues but the same thing and- who really talks like that all the time ) but for me she went ahead and became more annoying. The last installment had me waiting and waiting but now it seems much of what was expected to be revealed all the ways Stranger used to spy on her and everything would be simply classified into a single (not telling you- you got to read and suffer yourself-insert evil laugh). The ending was annoying. Its a fast read. The quest of finding the Stranger makes you go through all of it. I would read this author's work again because he's going to get better. Good read.
ALL YOURS , STRANGER is an jaw-dropping mystery & Psychological Thriller story that will have your full attention from page one. A thrilling page turner that will appeal to most audiences. The romance part is ofcourse Sexual , however some part of the story are a bit dark and graphic so I would not recommend this to a younger reader. The writer includes events that a teen had to face emotionally in an extremely new city & present 'em absolutely to pull the story & make it believable.
Begining with Front Cover , to which I'll gave 5/5 as it depicts the scene of a Jungle in background and above it , is embedded the Name of Author on Top , Beneath it Lies the Name of Book in bold letters and last slot of Cover holds the picture of a girl turned back with her hairs dashing in air .
Now the Back Cover is too holds the same background as that of front cover , over which embedded is the Epitome of the Book .
Coming to Writing Section which is truly hooking till the very last page . As the piece is the 2nd Instalment of the Stranger Series , so it picks up from the threads of Ist Part . Plot hatched with our Protagonist Ravinah travelling to Kolkata , her hometown to excavate information about Hiya Chowdary , whose face was doesn't even remember by her. But reaching home , she found the only evidence placed in her home that can link her to Hiya had been misplaced or intenionally stolen . With nothing concrete , she returned back to Mumbai to her Boyfriend's Place where she get to know Nitya , her Boy friend's best friend , had been living in their flat . Nitya tried to kill herself and as on doctor's advice not to leave her alone , Rivanah found her landed at her place . Our Mysterious Stranger is still active and as always kept an eye on her without making his presence felt . Stranger is proved as a friend as well as a foe for her through out the story . But with my point , Stranger seems to be someone who wants to put Rivanah on the path of Righteous . On pushing Rivanah on the quest to of ' Hiya Chawdry' mystery , Stranger tried to make her feel her true worth . Author had put number of twist in the story which makes it a cliffhanger and makes the journey of reader more like driving in the hills on cutting edge roads . And Like earlier segment , this book holds some realy-really-really-honest WISE WORDS , actally PRACTICAL WISE WORDS & like earlier book , this piece make me note many points in my notes sections . So Ofcourse a MUST READ Groundbreaking instalment of Stranger Series .
While I was reading the book, it felt as if I was watching Ekta Kapoor's serial.. However, the plot seemed interesting. It succeeded to keep me held. But, the turn of events made one confuse about the relationships and their shackles. Overall, this book was way better than the first one. Nice read...
This one gave me the goosebumps... completed in three hours.. was so engrossed.. and by the time i finished i was sure i was being watched on... Totally captivating... Kudos to the Author... brilliant storytelling...
I wish I had not started this one. While the book keeps you engaged wanting to know what happens next, did not expect the book to end with ‘..to be contd’. Unfortunately since I was not aware of this being a part of a trilogy, i was forced to read all of them. I wish the author payed a little more attention on detailing of the characters and the environment around. Also, there were lot of places i felt unnecessary usage of big-complicated english words - seemed Thesaurus-ed. The story is a decent thriller and keeps you hooked on. If I could turn-back time, would have skipped this one.
A good thriller plot with few "nail biting and lump in the throat" moments. This is the second books of the stranger trilogy which I started without completing it Prequel.
The stranger's trail has gone dry. Rivanah is feeling settled in her life with Danny. Though there are still hiccups. With new problems posing big questions, Rivanah finds herself reaching out for a shoulder to cry on? Whose shoulder will it be this time? Has the stranger left her for good? Will her relationship with Danny move on to the next level? Will Rivanah finally be able to embrace peace? Let the story unfold.
Once a mystery always a mystery. The book goes back to the roots of Rivanah and her college time and yet there is a sense of incompletion. The more she delves to join the dots, the more she winds up getting frustrated. The tricks continue, the mind wavered and the determination waning. The inner curiosity far from quenched and people around her more double barreled this time. She has life to lead, she has mess to sort out, she has insecurities and she has a mystery to resolve. She is a lover, a conqueror, a troubled soul and in the end a human who has to deal with unknown forces. The story brings out the best out of Rivanah. Pushing her towards the zealous factors of life. Exploring the inner recesses of her tender soul. It's a haunting experience and continues to be so.
No drawbacks till now.
All in all the dots remain far from joined as readers await with bated breath the final piece of the puzzle. More is in store as the mystery and misery deepens each moment now. Rivanah has gained and lost a lot yet she finds herself struggling for peace. There is a way out of it but how and when no one knows. Not even the readers. The guessing game continues and the stranger's sanctity alive. Who will win it one last time? Let it unfold in the final part. For now it keeps getting better and better.
Let me start by saying I liked the creepy factor this book had. I was creeped out the whole time and the end was really good. I was not at all at any point interested in the love life of the protagonist Rivannah, but only the stranger angle made me read this story. This story is extremely weird filled with unrealistic situations. The stranger is made out to be some godlike person who is always at the right place on the right time. The protagonist is an extremely foolish, immature, selfish woman who frankly invites all the trouble and then cries over it. I could not feel sorry for her once looking at the way she thinks and takes decisions. Also, it felt like there were not at all needed sex scenes which felt out of place and too abrupt in the storyline. The basic plot line is extremely slow with Rivannah pondering over (for the umpteenth time) who is really Hiya(a mystery person in this story). I read more than half the book and still I had the same questions as in the beginning. I felt like I was reading some teenager's woes over how bad her love life was. Surprisingly she indulges all her private details with this 'stranger' knowing fully well how he might use it against her. What god awful stupidity?! Alas, the creepiness provided by the stranger is the only thing that works for this book. Will definitely read the next one.
THIS IS IT ! <3 Another best from Mr Novoneel ! I love d way he writes n weaves a novel ! this second part of trilogy is just as thrilling n terrifying as d first part ! I didn't even realized I reached d last page n it got over to another mysterious end ! my breath got stuck somewhere between my lungs n nose ...can't wait for final part this winter !!!!! <3 and for those who haven't read d first part yet ...rush to your nearest book store n grab it all ! Novoneel nailed it again ! <3
More intriguing than the first part. Even though in the beginning, I wondered where this book is heading, but then it begins. The twists, the crisp words of the 'Stranger' and the excitement to find out who is the Stranger.
Waiting to grab the final part of this trilogy as soon as it becomes available!! Can't wait to find out who the stranger is...is the stranger really a stranger or already been introduced in either first or the second part or something else !! gotta wait !!
All Yours, Stranger is a psychological thriller, full of romance. It's so gripping and intriguing that now I need to read "Forget Me Not,Stranger" the last book in this series. Eager to know about the stranger!
In the second book of the Stranger Trilogy, it's all about the incident's Rivanah has gone through because of the stranger. She meets her past, in a way she never imagined. She finds herself guilty of things she haven't done.
I'm finishing it only so that I dont have the guilt of leaving a book half way [ which I guess, many of you too have]. The author / the book is not even worth mentioning as to why you shouldnt read it. Crap and dont waste time
Now the Story of Riv is turning pathetic there is inclusion of new characters seems without need. Over all story telling is good,,, erotic story... young adult types
6 aug 2023 All Yours, Stranger by Novoneel Chakraborty is the second book in the Stranger Trilogy. This book has more twists and turns that bring us one step closer to the stranger. The readers are totally glued to this book as every incident is inter related. It focus on relationships, about a person named Hiya Chaudhary and her existence.
The cover and the title is again intriguing just like the previous one. We notice a girl who is in the middle of the jungle. Probably the cover justifies Rivannah's dream or rather say hallucination where she feel the presence of the stranger. The title is perfect as the protagonist can feel herself close to the stanger. The subtitle is really catchy.

All Yours, Stranger’ is the 2nd part of the Stranger trilogy series, by Novoneel Chakraborty. The plot spins around Rivanah Bannerjee, who is from Kolkata, trying to get a grip on the typical Mumbai life. She has a wonderful boyfriend, yet is obsessed with thinking about her ex-boyfriend. Although he cheated on her, she is ready to overlook that fact. The Stranger is nowhere to be found ever since the police started to hunt for him, though it has been an unsuccessful attempt.
The questions that Rivanah wants an answer for, in this mystery allegory are; Who really is this stranger? What is his purpose of coming into Rivanah’s life? Will he ever be able to contact her again?
These types of questions have been troubling Rivanah continuously. Indifferent about the mystery surrounding this guy, she frantically wants the stranger back into her life.
As the story further unfolds, the true facts that come to light are far from what Rivanah could ever imagine. The story has a vicious and cruel plot with many mysteries unfolding themselves, as the reader divulges further into this tale. This gripping plot has the knack to make the reader bite his or her nails till the very last leaf of the book.
The plot is more dark and complex as compared to the previous part. The previous book left the clue of Hiya Chaudhary and here, Rivannah tries to uncover the mystery behind Hiya Chaudhary who happened to be her batchmate and had hung herself to death. It was believed that she also got such messages. So, a fear of being murdered by the stranger arises in the mind of Rivannah. To add more she struggling with her heart and mind. She is unable to forget her ex boyfriend, Ekansh who cheated on her and her present boyfriend, Danny. She loves them both but life takes a turn when Ekansh again makes an appearance in her life and this time as her rommie's fiance.
The story moves between Kolkata and Mumbai as Rivannah keeps on coming back to Kolkata to know more about her past, Hiya Choudhary. She tries really hard to find the clues. She even quits her job when the Stranger ask her to do so. She doubts on Hiya's brother but later she comes to know that he was not even part of it. He was just being used.
The characters seems more developed in this book. Rivannah is struggling and the stranger helps her find out whom she loves but that still remains uncovered till we reach the next book. Further, Danny and Ekansh's roles keep on shifting in her life. This book has many characters along with the previous ones and together they make an amazing tuning.
The style of writing is simple, clear and lucid. Some of the sentences are just so beautiful that you end up noting down in your diary. The descriptions are fantastic and they just make you more glued to the book. Novoneel has a unique style of writing as he ends up playing with the minds of the readers through his play of words. Once can picturise the whole book while reading it and its an easy read
