Stalk Me
All Maren Holt wanted after her divorce was a farmhouse and one Thanksgiving where nobody expected her to make the pies.
Hollowridge Farm came with a collapsing barn, an abandoned well that's only abandoned in the legal sense, and a seven-foot sentient scarecrow attached to the deed.
Harrow has spent centuries classified as agricultural equipment. He protects the land, obeys its keeper, repairs what breaks, and endures whatever the Bellwether Harvest Trust demands of him every Thanksgiving.
Then Maren repairs his damaged heart-knot with ordinary red thread and asks him a question no keeper ever has.
What do you want?
The answer becomes increasingly complicated.
With Thanksgiving approaching, Maren discovers that Bellwether's miraculous harvests have always carried a price, and Harrow has been paying for generations. Breaking the covenant could finally set him free, but it could also unravel the magic keeping the valley prosperous.
Harrow is beginning to discover that freedom includes choosing what he wants, whom he protects, and exactly how interested he is in the woman who stitched his heart back together.

Apparently my taste in fictional men continues to be questionable because Stalk Me was exactly the kind of chaos I enjoy reading.
There is nothing sweet and innocent about this one. The obsession is intense, the boundaries are basically nonexistent, and the characters make some seriously questionable choices. But that's what made it so entertaining for me. I wasn't looking for perfect people making responsible decisions—I wanted messy, dark, and a little unhinged, and that's what I got.
I also liked that there was more going on than just the attraction between the characters. The suspense added another layer to the story and kept me curious about how everything was going to play out.
Would I want any of this happening in real life? Absolutely not. In a dark romance, though? Hand me the red flags and let me keep reading.
Definitely check the trigger warnings with this one because it won't be for everyone, but I had a lot of fun reading it.

I received a copy from the author in return of an honest review.
I LOVES THIS BOOK.
It was wholesome and caring and honestly brought to light how important it is to have body autonomy.
The spice? I loved it. BDSM, magic and an appendage that can be changed. Heck yeah.
Harrow and Maren found each other by chance, but the choices they made after that kept them together.

A seven-foot sentient scarecrow, a woman rebuilding her life after divorce, a farmhouse with a very questionable history, and a romance that somehow manages to be both strange and ridiculously sweet? Yeah… I was absolutely in. 😂🌾🖤
Maren was such a refreshing heroine. I loved that she's starting over and trying to build a life that actually belongs to her. There's something really satisfying about watching her settle into Hollowridge Farm and, rather than being scared away by everything weird happening around her, start asking questions and treating Harrow like a person instead of a piece of property.
And Harrow… 👀
How am I supposed to resist a seven-foot sentient scarecrow who has spent centuries being treated like agricultural equipment and suddenly has someone asking him what he wants? 🥹
That question ended up being one of my favorite parts of the story because Harrow's journey isn't just about romance. It's about discovering that he has choices. He has desires. He gets to decide who he wants to protect and what kind of life he actually wants. There was something surprisingly emotional about watching him begin to understand himself outside of the role he'd been forced into for generations.
The relationship between Maren and Harrow also had this wonderfully unusual tenderness to it. The heart-knot, the red thread, and the symbolism surrounding his heart gave their connection a little something extra, while the attraction brought plenty of heat and tension. ❤️🔥
I also really enjoyed the harvest magic and the Bellwether covenant. The darker side of Hollowridge Farm gave the story more depth than just a quirky monster romance, and I liked that the magical mystery was connected directly to Harrow's history and his desire for freedom.
And honestly? The whole Thanksgiving setting was such a fun touch. 🍂🦃 Instead of the usual cozy farmhouse romance, we get ancient magic, supernatural agricultural equipment, a cursed covenant, and a scarecrow who is discovering what it means to actually have a choice. 😂
Kate Rozy definitely knows how to take an absolutely bizarre premise and somehow make it feel romantic, emotional, and completely charming.
If you love monster romance, sentient/non-human heroes, forced proximity, paranormal romance, cinnamon-roll energy with a darker edge, magical bargains, farm settings, unusual love interests, and stories about finding freedom and belonging, Stalk Me is definitely one to add to your TBR. 🌾🖤
Maren stitched Harrow's heart back together—and somehow, he ended up showing her what it means to start over too. 🥹❤️

I was so grateful to be given an advanced reader copy of this book and OH MY GOD. I never expected the rollercoaster I ended up on. This book was definitely something way different than I'm used to and I freaking love it. Was it strange? Yes. Weird? Yes, but in a good way ofc and lastly was it otherworldly? 100 freaking percent.
Hollowridge was definitely not somewhere me and Maren were ready for. Nor were either of us ready and prepared to fall in love with a 7 foot tall, sentient scarecrow basically. I've never read anything like this before especially with the anatomy changing through magic. Like WHAT DO U MEAN HIS YK MAGICALLY APPEARS WHEN HE'S HAPPY??? And that he's able to inhale food? And don't get me started on the whole plot.
This story was seriously planned out and throughly explained. The creativity that has went into this story is phenomenal. With all the laws, the rituals, even just all the different cords in his heart knot.
My heart went out to Marrow for all the pain He's had to endure over the years and to basically learn to obey and not think or speak. He was there slave in a sense. To have to work and take orders all his life and to be killed over and over again.
The way I wanted to kill Agnes throughout this story. Like I just wanted to jump into the book and smack her. She is such a bitch and probably the perfect definition and analogy of a villain. Not even acknowledging Marrow as a person and just calling him an agricultural guardian and equipment.
I'm so glad at least half of the town was mad and disturbed at what the covenant was doing to him and basically torturing him but I hate that the other half knew and was fine with it like wtf.
I also low-key wish in the end that Maren would have replied back and gave Carol a piece of her mind. Like no! Why the fuck would I be making you pies for Thanksgiving? Me and your son are divorced and you treated me like a slave basically and took all the credit for yourselves.
I'm so glad that both Maren And Harrow found a new meaning of thanksgiving through eachother. They both were being used for their talents and taken advantage of and in the end they both learned to love and embrace eachother.

This is one of those books where I read the premise and thought, “Okay… a sentient scarecrow MMC?” And somehow Kate Rozy made me completely understand the assignment.
Maren was such a lovable FMC. I really enjoyed watching her start over and build a life for herself while trying to figure out all the strange things happening around her. She doesn't just accept everything at face value, either, which made her especially fun to follow.
And then there’s Harrow.
A seven-foot-tall scarecrow. A SENTIENT ONE. And somehow he managed to be both creepy and ridiculously adorable at the same time. I loved getting to know him beyond the whole “scarecrow” thing and seeing him figure out that he could actually have wants, choices, and a life of his own.
Their relationship was honestly much sweeter than I expected. There was plenty of attraction and spice, but I really liked the emotional side of their connection too. The heart-knot and red thread added such a fun magical element to their relationship, and I loved the symbolism behind it.
The farm and all of the magic surrounding it also gave the story so much more than just a quirky monster romance. There was definitely a darker mystery underneath everything, and I enjoyed learning more about the history of the farm and Harrow.
And the FALL vibes?! The harvest setting made this such a fun seasonal read. There's something about reading a romance involving a creepy farm, supernatural magic, and a giant scarecrow while the weather is getting cooler that just WORKS.
Kate Rozy somehow took what sounds like one of the weirdest romance premises imaginable and turned it into something genuinely sweet, emotional, and surprisingly addictive.
If you like monster romance, unconventional MMCs, paranormal romance, forced proximity, fall vibes, magical bargains, spooky farms, and a hero who is literally a seven-foot scarecrow, you absolutely need this one on your TBR.

WHAT THE ACTUAL HAY BALE DID I JUST READ? 🌾😂
So apparently scarecrow smut is a thing, and apparently I am the kind of person who will read it and then immediately need to tell everyone about it.
Maren moves to a supernatural town and, instead of reacting like a normal person when a SEVEN-FOOT SCARECROW enters her life, she basically goes, “Oh, okay 😊” and invites him into her house.
MA’AM.
I would have questions. She had NONE.
And honestly? I respect the commitment.
But the absolute highlight of this book was the dialogue between Maren and Harlow because WHAT. 😂 Their banter had me cackling like I had personally lost my mind. I kept turning pages thinking, Surely we cannot possibly be going there next.
And then we went there.
There is actually a surprisingly sweet and heartwarming story underneath all the supernatural chaos and questionable life choices, which I appreciated. But let’s be honest—the reason I stayed was the comedy, the chemistry, and the sheer audacity of this book.
Did I know I needed a romance involving a scarecrow? No.
Did I question every decision that brought me to this point? Absolutely.
Did I have a good time? Unfortunately, yes.
If you like your monster romance spicy, ridiculous, slightly unhinged, and absolutely not something you want to explain to your family, add this one to your TBR.
🌾 Would I recommend it?
Look, I’m not saying you need scarecrow smut in your life.
I’m just saying… I didn’t know I did either.😂
Thank you to the author for an advance copy!

This was a good read! I really liked the premise, enjoyed the spice, and the banter definitely worked for me.
My biggest issue was the writing itself at times. Some of the dialogue and language felt almost stilted or mechanical. There were moments where that style actually worked really well with the story and characters, but other times it just felt a little…weird. It would pull me out of the story when otherwise I was enjoying what was happening.
I also really liked the actual “stalking” toward the end and honestly wish we’d gotten a little more of that throughout the book. But considering this is a novella, I also recognize there’s only so much you can cram into a shorter story without it becoming too much.
And that’s actually something I think this book did REALLY well. It flowed nicely and, most importantly, nothing felt rushed. That is such a hard balance to find in a novella, especially one trying to give the characters and story any real depth. So even though it was short, I didn’t finish feeling like half the story was missing or like everything suddenly got wrapped up in five pages.
Overall, a solid 3.5-star read. Good premise, good spice, fun banter, and surprisingly good pacing for a novella. The writing style didn’t always land for me, and I would’ve happily taken a little more stalking in a book called Stalk Me 😂, but I enjoyed it!

As usual another great paranormal holiday novella!
Maren divorces her husband & buys a farm to call her own. With it comes a list of improvements needed & an agricultural guardian. After being given specific instructions to not alter the heart-knot by the listing agent & then being told by the Chair of the Harvest Trust to not touch him, move him or talk to him, Maren decides to ignore them both. It’s her farm & her guardian. In doing that she learns his name is Harrow & that he has felt everything over all the years. And that what the Trust is insisting of her for their Second Harvest takes from him to provide for them.
Through Maren allowing Harrow to have boundaries, he is learning more about himself and what is capable of and able to do, despite years of binding cords from past owners. Maren is determined to find out more about the Second Harvest and what the Harvest Trust is all about because she trusts neither.
I received this book as an ARC and I am writing this review voluntarily.

Maren wanted a fresh start after her divorce, so she bought a fixer-upper farm in a small town called Hollowridge. The place came with a seven-foot-tall scarecrow named Harrow who was included in the deed. His job is to protect the land and serve the owner, whom he calls his keeper. Things get complicated when she learns that Harrow is tied to a generational curse, meaning he has to be sacrificed every year for a perfect harvest. She can't bring herself to let him go, though, since she's falling for him.
I just finished the third book in A Glitch Monster Romance series, and honestly, every story has been such a uniquely emotional and fun ride. This author is incredibly creative with these monsters—they’re written so well that you’ll start questioning your own sanity because you can’t help but fall for them! I was completely hooked by the plot, and this is definitely one of my absolute favorites in the series.

At heart, this is a story about the yearning to be free of the bondage that the expectations of others impose on us. Leaving behind an indifferent husband and unappreciative in-laws, Maren moves to her newly purchased farmhouse and finds out that she's come into possession of a sentient scarecrow who calls himself Harrow. Unlike his previous owners, she sees him as more than just a mere object to be used and disposed of. The bond that gradually develops between them ultimately leads Marrow into a revolt against the horrendous system that has subjected Harrow to the most brutal treatment imaginable over the centuries.
The world that Rozy creates is a deeply immersive one and she presents the reader with a holistic system where magic is integrated into even the most mundane aspects of life while leaving the everyday citizen unaware of the tremendous cost that it exacts on the vulnerable who cannot speak up for themselves.

This was my first ARC, and I loved the experience! The book was a quick, easy read with a creative premise that held my attention throughout.
After her divorce, Maren moves to a small town and buys a farm that comes with a sentient scarecrow. When she learns his story, her own experiences make it impossible for her to ignore the circumstances keeping him there. Her efforts to free him run into a few obstacles, but I’ll leave those for you to discover.
I enjoyed the storyline and would read this again. The dialogue was occasionally a little confusing, but it didn’t take much away from the story. The spice was milder than I expected, yet still creative. The “daddy” element didn’t quite fit for me, while the stalking aspect was one of my favorite parts—I just wished there had been more of it!
For my first sentient scarecrow romance, this was a great introduction. 4/5 stars.

This was such an awesome read and I really loved the premise for it. The author did a fab job bringing Harrow, the scarecrow, to life for me and his plight was a heart breaker! Thankfully, Maren, new owner of the property that Harrow was bound to, did not follow the rules and had such compassion in her heart. As they spent more time together, you could really feel the connection between them flourish, and I rooted hard for them to find a way to an HEA. I have to say that they did get it but after such a wicked fight against corrupt and sadistic rules. Adding in the fun stalking scenes helped balance the tension of me fretting about their future. I definitely recommend this exciting Halloween romance that has fab world building, fascinating characters, emotions and good spice. Well done!

A Glitch Monster Romance: Harrow & Maren
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Holy wow, was this a fun read!
Magical covenants, spice, a sentient seven-foot scarecrow, bondage, and primal play… this was definitely something different!
I loved Harrow and Maren together, especially watching Harrow discover what freedom means and finally figure out what he wants.
There’s a surprisingly sweet story underneath all the spice and dark themes. An unhinged and intriguing magical covenant, that almost put me in mind of a HOA/strata setup, and the crazy hikinks that goes on with that! Along with plenty of mystery surrounding the farm and Harrow’s past.
Quirky, spicy, a little dark, and completely entertaining. I had a blast with this one!

I really liked the characteds in this book. Maren had a beautiful heart and always stood on business for treating people right. Harrow had a harrowing back story and I felt so terrible for all that he had to endure.
This was such a fun read for Halloween.
This book is written in a choppy style that has become very popular lately. It is structured in a way where every sentence is short and like the author tries to make everything that's said seem weighted and important. I find it so distracting because people don't talk that way. I don't mind it for the newly-alive beings but even then a lot of the words could be cut out or explained without the choppy weighted structure.

I absolutely love this series so far, This book follows Maren who divorces her husband and buys a fixer upper farm with a list of instructions on the agricultural guardian which include no touching, speaking, or moving him. She decides to do what she wants after all its her farm. You'll have to read to figure out what happens next. This series so far as been phenomenal from the uniqueness of the monsters to the character development in each one, everything is written to vividly with a certain depth you wouldn't expect from a paranormal romance. Highly Recommend! I got this via the author and this is my voluntary review.

So who knew Scarecrow smut was a genre?? 😂😂 I am absolutely here for it!
I had a blast reading about Harrow and Maren. This story had sweetness, magical covenants, bondage, interesting gift choices, chaos and a great storyline along the way.
If you are looking for a fun read where you don’t have to commit to a 300+ page read, where the story has enough turns to keep things interesting, with just a sprinkle of spice, all while watching a 7 foot scarecrow learn about himself and how to consent, this is the book for you. I would highly recommend giving this one a shot 😄

Wow, what a wild ride! I honestly didn't know what to expect going into a romance featuring a seven-foot sentient scarecrow, but I am so incredibly glad I got to read an early copy of this. The blend of a bizarre magical covenant, a little spice, and banter kept me hooked from the very first page.
Definitely add this to your TBR if you're looking for something short, filled with banter, and packed with a completely unique monster romance!
Thank you to the author and publisher for providing an ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

I really enjoyed being a ARC reader for this book.
The story was very interesting and so adore the characters. I like how Kate build the world itself and how there is a lot of plot without feeling to overwhelming. Stalk me is very easy to get lost in and very enjoyable. I am very happy about being able to read this book. The one thing that occasionally bothered me was the way conversations were written. The way they spoke was very robotic and almost lacked the feeling of emotional depth. Besides that it was a wonderful read.

This was the most delightful book I've read all year. I never knew I was missing a terribly sweet and loyal scarecrow to fall in love with but Harrow is perfection and has been added to my top Book Boyfriends list. Not only is it about falling in love with a scarecrow, but also about the corruption in a small town, people who feel entitled to others without asking, and Magic. There's suspense that at one point has me gasping out loud, and a beautiful ending. I loved this book and was delighted to learn that there's more in this glitch universe for me to enjoy.

Thanks for the arc book! This one is just as incredible as the last two books!! I absolutely love this series lol and I had to force myself to put this book down so I can sleep. This one is about Maren who is recently divorced and buys a farm that has a magical field keeper that comes to life. They fall in love, overcome obstacles; Harrow evolves and develops into an incredible character. Definitely a must read, I'm just hoping this series has more books lol.

This was such a fun Thanksgiving themed story!
A recent divorcee buys a farm as a way of staking her independence from her ex and his family who seem convinced they are entitled to her free labor even after divorce. Only said farm comes with a sentient scarecrow. And the town thinks they are entitled to his free labor.
How will their journey towards independence end?
The banter is great and the spice is a perfect pumpkin latte.😂

I absolutely loved this book. It is so good. This is the next book in A Glitch Monster Romance series where each book is a standalone. These books are heartwarming and spicy with a pinch of humor.
Harrow is a sentient scarecrow who is learning to think for himself as well as learning his wants and desires for the first time after centuries of being bound by a covenant. Martin is looking to be her own person after years of a marriage where she was controlled and overlooked.

received an arc copy!
loved this book, though it did feel a bit… hard to explain. there wasn’t a lot of dimension or emotion to the characters and the entire thing, while cohesive, felt stilted. however, harrow and maren were great characters and the book wasn’t THAT long, so i was able to overlook those flaws for the plot line. i didn’t really get a bdsm vibe, and the spicy scenes weren’t my favorite. 🤷🏻♀️

Thank you Kate Rozy for the arc of Stalk Me. Its a Thanksgiving holiday romance between a scarecrow and a woman. It was so well written. I absolutely loved reading about the magic system, the festive traditions, hearing about the land and especially the unique budding romance between the fmc Maren and the mmc Harrow bka Daddy. And can we talk about the eavesdropping caserole? Haha!! This book is out now!!! The perfect unique romance novel for Thanksgiving!!

Hollowridge was truly one of a kind with a leaning barn, corn field, Scarecrow who is not a person and Maren just made her first purchase after her divorce. Right away the author does a great job of adding in a slightly spooky setting while making sure the FMC comes across strong and takes things with stride.
This got all the emotions out of me. Anger, sadness, happiness; there were even a few chuckles. I might never look at a scarecrow the same again! (I am okay with that.)

Need a Thanksgiving holiday reading crazy twist?!? How about a sentient scarecrow in a town filled with crazy magic people? This book was entertaining and definitely unlike anything I have ever read. Maren just wants peace and quiet after her divorce and she thought buying a farm was the best way to achieve that. Boy was she was mistaken lol. Harrow her resident scarecrow beings more to the table then just scaring birds away.

Stalk Me is a quick, fun read. The banter and negotiation talks between Maren and Harrow are hilariously specific and endearing. The magical connection between Maren, Harrow, and the farm is intrusive but offers security at the same time. The covenant is just plain dastardly perverted.
If you’re looking for a spicy autumn cozy romantasy where the MFC just divorced her selfish husband and bought a farm complete with a caring sentient scarecrow(MMC), then this is your next read.

Maren moves to a different town after her divorce with Callum. She buys a rundown farm that comes with a sentient scarecrow. Harrow is forced to do things for the town due to a curse. Maren & Harrow, the scarecrow, end up falling for each other. They break his curse. This is a good book for fall time. Thank you Kate Rozy!

This one was my favorite in the Glitch Monsters series! Stalk Me had me laughing, raging mad at everyone in Harrow's past, and loving all the cute things he would do for Maren. Right off the bat, Maren is so good with Harrow and is exactly who he needs working for him and not the other way around like usual. Thank you for the ARC Kate!

Stalk Me, Daddy
I loved this spooky spicy read! Maren helping Harrow gain his freedom, fantastic! Harrow getting the choice to stay or leave, amazing! A game of Cat and Mouse with a sentient Scarecrow that can control roots and vines, "Stalk Me, Daddy", yes, please! Loved that Maren and Harrow got their HEA ending!!!!
