I'm a huge fan of insta-love , grunge era flannel, my vintage Kenmore sewing machine, embroidered dishcloths and absolutely everything that has to do with 1980s pop culture (i.e. leg warmers, scrunchies, big hair, early Madonna, boom boxes, wood paneled walls, stonewash jeans, etc).

If you believe in Happily Ever After and improbable love stories, chances are I'll love you too!!

Loren “Ren” Savage is the oldest daughter and second oldest sibling of the current generation of Savages, once Hollywood starlets, now Hollywood has-beens or, for this generation, never-was. Oz Acevedo used to be Oscar Savage till his young world was spun on its axis once again and he was “disowned” by the family. They once converged in a dusty, desolate, desert location just outside of Consequences, Arizona. And five years later when reality television comes calling, a series of new events are spun in motion.

The book pulled me in from the start. The author does a fabulous job painting a picture of a Hollywood legacy family and their scandalous history. (Think more the Barrymores than the Kardashians). Now I’m not typically someone who follows real celebrity gossip, and I can see through the contrived and superficial nature of reality TV much like our heroine so the premise of this story wasn’t necessarily the appeal. But the scenario for this second chances/love-hate relationship was a nice break from other more familiar plot troupes.

The Savages are a family of diverse characters with colorful ancestors and histories.

“Nobody who spends twenty-three years on this earth is a blank slate. We are the sum of our pains and trials, joys and heartaches.”

Both Oz and Ren have intriguing backgrounds that are fairly original as far as contemporary romance characters go, Oz’s personal background developed slightly fuller than Ren’s. But then some of what is not divulged about Ren is what’s over divulged about Oz.

“‛What’s that mean?’”
“‛Means you talk like a man whore sometimes.’”

While there are thankfully no scenes depicting his manwhore ways, lord are there enough references to it, as well as to her brother, Monty’s, in almost every chapter. This type of male characterization is becoming pretty trite, and I felt like it took away from the “romance” at hand. When Oz isn’t monologing his tendency for meaningless and unmemorable hook-ups or hurling reminders at Ren, he’s a fairly engaging character with distinct hints at gained maturity and the desire to look beyond past wrongs and win the girl.

“Once I told the girl I loved that she’d never have to see me again. That’s a promise I should have broken a long time ago.”

Statements like that made we swoon, but I wanted more moments like those. We hear about their heartache, but are never much shown their romance. I could feel their hurt and pain, but it was a struggle to feel how they came together or what made their connection so intense. There is a slow build to their confrontation in the present, but not enough build up of their original falling in love. I had moments where I couldn't put it down and other moments were I wanted to skim.

A part of the failure in this may lie in the development of the five chapters set in the past. Those parts only provide a glimmer of their initial relationship and not much substance for why it was special. These sections also break away from the alternating first person POV via Ren and Oz, and are told in third person. It’s a distinct change; the voice detached and the sentences choppy. I felt like a weird voiceover had taken over. Admittedly I’m not a fan of 3rd person in a romance book so if you read them frequently than perhaps it won’t cause as many difficulties. But it definitely took me out of the story, a stark contrast to the other chapters’ narration.

Overall, the bones are here for a real five star novel. An eclectic cast with colorful ancestry; conflict both internal and external; the setting well described and fairly unique for this genre; the symbolism inherent in the town names as well as the family’s and the irony of a reality show set in a fake town.

“We would say f*ck the consequences together and then suffer the moral wounds of our own stupidity when we learned that reality is far messier. In reality, consequences f*ck you.”

Most certainly it’s an interesting story with melancholy overtones, but as far as a love story goes it misses the mark in the areas of steam/heat as well as sweet swoon-worthy moments. That’s not to say there aren’t some of them there, there just isn’t a lot. Or enough to excel the story to a higher rating.

Born Savages is a standalone, but more books about the Savage family saga are planned. At the end, the author poses a question to readers about which brother to feature in the next one and readers can cast their vote for Team Spencer or Team Monty. This wasn’t a hard choice for me. Spencer, the lonesome cowboy, has potential, and there are far too many references to Montgomery Savage’s manwhore ways for me to find any love in a story about him. Aside from one brief reference to some integrity he had as a child, his portrayal in this book makes an interesting supporting character to some degree but as a romantic lead or potential book boyfriend he’s totally gross! But give this first story a whirl and decide for yourself…

Where do I start with this book? When I first read the blurb I have to be honest I just thought of the Kardashian’s. I’m not even embarrassed to say that I watch every single episode good or bad. I’m not sure I can explain it, I just can’t look away. And just like the show the book was the absolute same thing, except it was so much better!!

"Somewhere in all our buried history lies the truth."

This is a new series and I was so excited to start the ride.

Once the Savages were national darlings, undisputed Hollywood royalty.

Meet the Savages siblings Montgomery, Loren, Spencer, Ava and Bridgette. They come from old school Hollywood. Their legacy spanning decades and decades ago. The family tree so woven into the ground that you can’t even see the roots. They haven’t been the squeaky clean or controversy free. They have had their affairs, they have had their drug runs, they have had their bombshells at the box office. If you think about it they have had more bombs than hits, which is why they are so sought after. Well at least to me.

Now we are penniless, scattered and ruined, nothing but a cautionary tale and tabloid fodder.

When the five remaining siblings of the Savages are approached to do a reality series. I was jumping up and down with glee. I was yelling ‘this is going to be so much fun” especially since only two of them really want to do it. Monty, Ren and Spencer just do it for Ava and Bridgette oh and for the thousand of dollars salary that is associated with the filming.

We’ve been offered a chance, an opportunity to redeem ourselves. All we have to do is open the door and let the cameras in.

This can either make them or break them. It is a way for them to let the people see them for who they are, the name Savage is something that I don’t think none of them want. But you know what they say you can choose your friends but not your family. Let me tell you that their mother made Joan Crawford look like June Cleaver. She was awful, just awful!
Case in point.

And there’s another complication.
Oscar Savage.
He’s not my blood. He’s more. He is forever intertwined with my soul.

I know what you are thinking, trust me I was thinking the same thing as you. Actually what goes through my mind, is probably way worse than what you thought. So Oz is really not a Savage. I mean he’s a Savage but he wasn’t born a Savage he was adopted.

What no one knows is that many years ago he was he was dumped into their lives. But while there something magical happened. A love was formed. A love that was all consuming. A love that stopped your heart from beating. A love that made you belly flip every time they were in the room together. It was pure, it was real, it was theirs.

Untill one word, one sentence, one person's motive made it over. Leaving them both shattered and hollow. Leaving them not being able to move on. Making them just exist in the world instead of living.

No one knows why he disappeared years ago.
But I do.
I just don't know why he's back.

He’s back to find out the answer to all his questions. He’s back to set the record straight. He’s back to claim what was once his. But the question is will she let him? Will she let her heart lead her to him? Will she be the one that finally gets their family name back into the good graces of the world? Or will they always just be born Savages?

Ren and Oz

So far loving the beginning of this series! Ren is one 5 children of a fallen from grace acting family. Oz an adoptive "cousin". Fell for each other as teens, torn apart by jealousy. Find each other and the love they thought lost. Wonderfully written, highly recommend. Cora Brent never disappoints!

A family raised by a psychotic mother and a father that does not seem to be part of the world he lives in, then mix together five siblings that are as different as night and day and you will begin to understand the unique situation that Cora Brent, author extraordinary has created in her latest book, Born Savages. Ms. Brent has woven a web of sensual tension, mystery and true love into an unforgettable tale. This story tracks the rise and fall of the Hollywood royalty, the Savages.

When everything your family says or does is instant fodder for the tabloid sharks, you learn early to fade into the background. I learned early on to avoid my crazy, publicity seeking mother. When she gave up on me earning her way back into Hollywood’s elite, I could finally breathe. But all she did was turn her eyes on to my two younger sisters and destroy their lives. Finally, I have found a sense of peace and anonymity, only to have it once more snatched away. The powers that be want to drag my family into the limelight once again and do a ‘Born Savages’ reality show. How can I say no, when my family needs the money? Everything was bearable until he walked back into my life!

I should never have agreed to return, but I needed to face her! I needed to face the woman that had thrown me aside for her psychotic family. The girl that was now a woman that still haunted my dreams! It should be easy to face her, but instead of finding release I found need. Is it possible to move past the betrayal, deceit and lies to find a future?

This is Oz and Ren’s story of love lost and a second chance at happiness. It is a must read as once again author Cora Brent weaves an unforgettable story of true love overcoming all obstacles. Born Savages is filled with drama, sizzling sexual encounters and angst filled situations that will keep you reading until the last page.

I loved the premise for the book. I think the premise of reality TV aimed at a family from Hollywood origins was second to family and second chances. Nice characters. I look forward to more of the Savages.

I love the name of this book!

I had a bit of a hard time getting started with this story. But once I got to Oz's first chapter I was hooked. Im invested now and I hope the next book in the series is about Monty since he's the eldest Savage.

This was a pretty good book. The Savages are a film dynasty like the Fondas and the Barrymores. Problem is the family is pretty much cursed. The Savages are set to go on Reality Television. Most of them are not happy about it. Loren Savage is the second oldest, her big brother Montgomery is older but she does so many things and takes care of her other siblings. The children grew up with a mother that wasn't loving and just expected the children to become actors and keep the name and money rolling in. She was a pretty horrible mother and their father was somewhat lost and didn't really fight for the children. The only time the father ever fought for anything was when he fought to take the family out of Hollywood and to move to Arizona in a place called Atlantis that used to be where they filmed many old westerns. Loren has only loved one man in her whole life and that was Oscar Savage, her adopted cousin.

Loren or Ren hates the limelight and hates being paid attention to. She loves to blend into the background and not stand out. She loathes this idea of a reality show but she's doing it for her two younger sisters. She hates to say no to them and Brigette begs so she can get possibly acting jobs and Ava needs it to take care of her little boy. She's been a great older sister taking care of her family. She grew up with a mother that didn't love or care for her children and a father that didn't stand up for them. Lita wanted her children to follow in the Savage family history and become actors in Hollywood. Loren wasn't made to become an actor and was very uncomfortable in the spotlight so her mother had no use for her. Lita was a very unhappy person that wanted everyone around her to be just as unhappy or worse. The family moved from Hollywood and having a huge mansion to Atlantis and it being pretty rundown. She found someone in Oscar Savage when he came to stay with them for the summer before their senior year. He wasn't really their cousin, he was adopted by their Aunt but she never brought him around until that summer.

Oscar grew up jumping from foster home to foster home until he was 5 or 6 years old and Mina Savage adopted him. She was a very sad woman who was haunted by her past and addiction. She and Oscar spent many years in Europe and she would drop him off in different boarding schools. He would stay in those places until she would remember that she has a son and pull him out and then take him to another one. Right after he is done with his junior year, Mina pulls him out and says they are going back to the United States and to Atlantis. But Mina ends up dropping him off there and going to some rehab place for the summer. He doesn't know any of the other Savages and is pretty much stuck there. He and Loren become great friends and then they turn into so much more. They were first loves and they felt so much for one another.

Worth reading.

I love Cora! I find her stories go way deeper than you expect them to.

Born Savages is the first in a new series and i think it has set the stage very well for the rest of the books to follow.

First up we have Ren (Loren) and Oz (Oscar). Ren's auntie adopted Oz when he was around 5 but he had never met any of his family until he was 17 when he was promptly dumped with Ren's family whilst his mother went off to rehab. The Savage family have a long history in the spotlight with great grandparents gracing the silver screen. The 5 new era Savages Monty, Ren, Ava, Spence and Bree have never wanted anything to do with stardom even though their mother Lita had pushed and pushed for it their whole life. Unfortunately Lita never gave up and has made her children suffer for their so called failings of never making it to stardom. Only one of the Savages is remotely interested in acting and that is Bree. She's offered a deal to take part in a reality show they want to call Born Savages and enlists all her siblings to take part. They all begrudgingly accept and wonder what kind of mockery the TV show will bring. The show decides to throw Oz into the mix as a long lost relative. Ren doesn't expect him to be there as there is bad feelings between her and Oz as they had a brief fling when he lived with them which ended badly and Oz was thrown out of the family. The story goes from here in full reality TV glory.

This book was written so well i actually felt as though i was watching it on TV except it was in my head. I loved the relationship between Ren and Oz although they had both been hurting each other there was true passion running between them and boy do they get passionate!! phhheewww!!! I also loved the dynamics of the siblings. You have badboy Monty, the only one that is reasonably normal is Ren, withdrawn mean and moody Spence, single Mom former wild child Ava and budding actress Bree. They don't really have anything to do with each before the show but i loved how in this book you start to see the bond growing between them all. I can't wait to see this grow further into the series.

I really enjoyed this book it kept you gripped from start to finish and as i have said set the scene very nicely for the rest of the series.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone. Cora has done a great thing at the end of the book and given us a chance to vote on which book is up next! I love this idea so I'm on #teamspence i can't wait for his story he needs a great big hug!

I pretty much just devour everything this woman writes and no matter what the genre I just know it will be awesome. I took Born Savages with me on vacation to read "in case I had a quiet moment" and go figure, it ended up completely taking me away from my trip because all I wanted to do was read it all day long until I was finished.
A theatrical family...all pretty much drama queens in one way or another...and what happens when these five siblings reunite for a reality show, is the basic storyline for this book but with so much more depth and flashbacks to a time that was both joyful and depressing. Monty, Ren, Ava, Spence and Bree are as close as brothers and sisters can be (when you live with extremely dysfunctional and abusive parental figures) and the damages done from a childhood full of high expectations and low self-esteem is far reaching as they come together for a second chance (each for their own reasons) at love, life and hopefully, some healing. Enter Oscar/OZ, a once "almost Savage" and now working as a guide for caving expeditions...his forbidden romance and explosive past with Ren will return years later to shake up the family and bring even more drama to what proves to be a wild family reunion.
I am a huge reality show junkie, so I just LOVED the storyline in this book and I was not disappointed with the outcome at all.
Cora Brent's narratives were bitingly sarcastic, witty, crazy/funny sometimes and right on the mark as far as family dramas go where guilt and anger fuel the fires in the relationships. Lita is pure evil and what I would consider the "mom from hell" and her character was written in such a way that you want to forgive every wrongdoing of each child and applaud them all for just surviving.
If you enjoyed the masterpiece that was Unruly, you will surely love Born Savages (a clever play on their family name and title of the show) and I know that I am desperately wanting the next book in the series which I hope will be about bad boy big brother Monty.

I finished this book late last night, and I am running on very little sleep right now and may be slightly delirious and low on caffeine so....bare with me here.....

First and foremost, I am fairly positive that Cora Brent's goal in life is to make me cry. You know...she wrecked me with Unruly....then for the last few chapters of this book, I was crying...not all out ugly cry, but the tears were flowing. Now, I may be overly emotional right now, I don't really know, but damn, I loved this book.

This book, is about the Savages....primarily Loren, aka "Ren" and Oscar aka "Oz". I don't want to spoil too much for anyone, so I will try to sing the praises, without throwing down the entire plot and outcome.

Ren and Oscar meet when she is 16, he is allegedly 17...She is living on an old movie set that her family owns in Arizona. She is one of 5 kids born to August Savage. The Savages were once Hollywood Royalty but as is the case with most, rock bottom came crashing.

August has one sister, who, at some point in her sad existence, acquired a child, who she named Oscar. So, what we have here is a case of cousins who are not related biologically in anyway. They meet, they fall in love. Ren's mother is a cold, heartless bitch...and the end result is Oscar is forced to leave when his mother dies, and Ren breaks his heart...and hers in the process.

Five years later, they are back on the set for a reality show called "Born Savages" and of course, angst, pain, heartache, two very hurt souls who still love each other very much but don't know how to get back to each other.

Fortunately, it does not take long for them to realize that they are meant to be :)

I love everything that Cora has written, and I would recommend this and all of her books.

I am looking forward to the next installment in this series, and am hoping it is about the seriously sexy and brooding Montgomery Savage #TeamMonty

Loren/Ren is the daughter and granddaughter of Hollywood royalty. Only thing is something happened to make her and her sisters and brother (Montgomery, Spencer, Ava and Bridgette ) that reduced them down to working for their living again and out of Hollywood- some sort of scandal. They are out of Hollywood and working menial jobs . Her sister Bridgette calls her and said that they have a chance to get back into Hollywood and its good. It’s a chance by doing a reality show..Ren is against it but the others are more for it …and the thousand dollars paycheck. Reason Ren is for it is more for Ava. (I really hope there is a 2nd book for Ava needs her own story). Anyway, Ren finally agrees to the reality show to be taped and she gets a shock to the system because not only do they get all the bio family members there but they get the adopted sibling Oscar Savage to come—Ren’s biggest heartbreak and complication.
Oscar Savage is a man who is on a mission. He is back for Ren. He wants to see her because of what they were to each other years before and if they could be that to each other again. He left Ren years before and now he is back. He is back to make Ren listen to him and see if she will let him into her heart and reclaim his ladylove.
This story is told from dual POV and at times goes back several years and we will get to see events that took place which put the Savages where they are now. I really enjoyed this story a lot and hope we will get the rest of the Savage siblings stories. Ren and Oscar will grab you and you will root for them and hope that they get the HEA. Being that they are only step siblings and not blood related, this is a great story and very steamy. I enjoyed it and cannot wait to read more by this author.

Oscar (Oz) and Ren have been apart for 5 years. The last time they were together ended in heartbreak and anger for both of them. Oz was "adopted" by Ren's Aunt and came to live with them for a while. Ren and Oz developed feelings for each other and were in love. Ren's mother was hell bent on getting Oz out of their lives and did threaten Ren with public ridicule, charges being brought against Oz and a bunch of other lies in order to make Ren miserable. Oz knew none of this so when Ren told him to go he had no clue as to why or what had precipitated it. When the Savage family is asked to participate in a reality show Ren agrees but doesn't realize that this will have Oz showing back up in her life. Neither one of them does the adult thing and confronts their feelings, they both project aloofness and anger toward the other. When all seems lost, Oz discovers that he needs to fight for her and get her to see that they could have something together still. It was well done and was different than the Gentry series which I liked. Cora Brent did a great job of letting us know where Oz's head was at and letting us see what his life had been like for the 5 years he and Ren were apart.

I was lucky enough to have been given this book as an Arc by Cora Brent in exchange for an honest review. Please be aware thereay be se spoilers but i will keep it to a minimum.

This book gives us an insite into the background of an ex hollywood elite family. I do however think that Ren put it well when she said that they actually were Hollywood-never-weres more so than Hollywood-has-beens.

It is told mainly from Ren and Oz pov but there is also about 5 chapters told from the 3rd person when its goes back 5 years and explains what actually happened between Ren and Oz. The other characters, Rens brothers and sisters also play a big part. Monty, Ava and Spencer and Bree.

All in all i loved the book and the reason i gave it 4 stars and not 5 is because it took me a while to get into it. If this has been a book by an unknow author i dont think i would have finished it as i felt it moved along very slow at first. But i continued with it and found that i could not put it down.

I am looking forward to finding out what will happen to the other family members and if they can over come their pasta and find a furture with someone who can help them heal.

What a rocky road.

The Savage family has had it's share of stardom and heartache. The perfect example of too much fame and money can not buy you happiness.
Montgomery, Loren, Spencer, Ava, and Bridgette are just trying to survive these days and get on with their lives but Hollywood tries its best to try and pull the family back in with a reality show of their own. Some of the siblings want and need this so in the end they agree. No one knew the pressure they would have or the surprises they had in store. Oz was one of those surprises. All he wanted was to see her. The woman that broke his heart.
Major dysfunction in this family but deep down they still care. When you throw in the dynamic of Oz I couldn't stop reading. Loren/ Ren takes on the role of peacemaker and caretaker for the family but when she comes face to face with the man from her past she can only remember the worse mistake of her life and her biggest regret. This book is cutting edge with so many reality shows today. The characters are believable and will move your heart with emotion. Great job Cora Brent. I hope we get the chance to read more on the Savage family.

Cora you are amazing! I have read your other books and I instantly fell in love with them. This one took me a bit to get into it, I'm sad to say but I did eventually and I'm glad I kept reading. The pain I felt with Ren at that point in the book was horrible. I never realized I was crying until my tears dropped on my arm. I was tore up and didn't know if I wanted to continue but I figured I owed it Oz to keep going and I am really happy and glad I did.

This book will pull you in then push you away but also captivate your being and you won't want to put it down because it just is that good. I really can't wait to read more from this family but I am in a dilemma on who I want to know first, Monty or Spence? Hmm..decisions decisions! I think if I honestly had to pick one I would have to go with Montgomery Savage, there's always something about a man who is brooding and just gives off a vibe that says "I'm me and if you don't like it then fuck off" that just makes me want to dive in and get to know him because there is always a reason behind the mask.

This is much different than the blurb leaves you to believe - and for the most part, that's a good thing. What could have been just another book about what goes on behind-the-scenes of a reality show (I've read quite a few), is instead a second chance romance for two people who were torn apart from each other because of lies & spite.

Oz & Ren will grab your heart and refuse to let go, while the supporting characters Monty, Spence, Bree & Ava, leave you curious to see what else Ms Brent has up her sleeve. Which leads me back to my "for the most part" comment above. Simply put, I wanted more. While technically a standalone, there will be other books in the series. (Which reminds me... can we have Spence next, pleeeaaaasssse?!?!?!) I'm hoping to get more insight to what was actually said to Gary & a few other things that I won't discuss for fear of letting something slip.

In all, it was a great read - one that I hope you will check out, because I think you'll be entertained.

Born Savages is the first book in a new series.
It was completely different to what I was expecting. The blurb made me think this was going to be some light hearted story set in the backdrop of a reality show. However, the reality show aspect wasn't really a major player in the story. Born Savages covers the story of the Savage siblings who were once Hollywood scarlets who are now out in the wilderness. In this instalment we get Ren and Oscar'story.

It was a little slow to start for me and initially took me a moment to get to grips with all the characters, however, it really was worth persevering with. This was a slow burning gem. I loved the chemistry between the siblings and can't wait to read all about them.

All in all, an enjoyable read.

I am a huge fan of Cora Brent, I own every book she has published. This book like all of her others was amazing! I loved the story! This is a story about second chances. This story focuses on Ren and Oz. They had a love affair 5 years ago that ended in heartbreak. Fast forward 5 years later all of the Savage clan are filming a reality tv show and surprise Oz is back. This story left me sitting on the edge of my chair. I laughed, cried, yelled at my iPad for someone's stubbornness. Eventually Ren and Oz find their way back to each other and discover that they are worth fighting for. It was a great story the supporting characters were a hoot and I can't wait to see future books starring them. I have to admit I am team Monty!!

Another wonderful book by Cora Brent! I highly recommend this book to anyone

I love everything written by cora brent

Maybe I should say I've read everything else by cora Brent, loved it all, and her work became an auto buy and something I could not wait to read.
With this one, premise was great but very little dialog or interaction. It was all contemplation and remembering. Not at all similar to previous work. Not only was the story low on dialog and happenings but also on passion. The reader is not given enough detail to see the young love of the past or the developing steadfast love of now. It all feels very distant and obscure.
Perhaps this was meant more to introduce the cast of characters? I'll give the next in series a try....hoping it is about Spencer and the reader is taken on a ride with the development of a relationship and more dialog.

I received this book for an honest review

When I received this book and read the title I was not expecting a book about a family named the Savages, however I was pleasantly surprised with the story. it has a little bit of everything in it.
The Savage children are born to a dysfunctional family who are not as famous as they used to be so when one of Loren is approached about doing a reality show she convinces them all t sign on. They all need the money they are not prepared to handle all the angst and surprises that come in with a reality show. Loren seems to be the affected the most when "Oz" shows up. You will laugh and cry while trying to figure out what is going to happen next.

The story line on this was awesome and there was no mistaking who played which part in the family and what their issues were.

ARC given in exchange for an honest review.
Cora Brent can always be counted on to come up with a truly original plot for her books. Her stories keep you guessing and invested from start to finish. This was a great read, with a female protagonist, which is very unusual. I loved the plot, but I found it hard to connect with the characters. I think she was trying to portray the effect of a reality television show in print, but it became in some scenes they were characters and in other caricatures. I am interested to read the next books in the series, though, as I found a number of the sibling characters to be more intriguing. I am firmly on Team Monty for the next book!
This book took me 4.5 hours to read.
I recommend it if you enjoy: Nina Levine, Vivian Arend or Lexi Buchanan.

What a great book! If you like second chance stories you will love this. It's that and do much more. The Savage's come from old Hollywood money. When the fame and money are gone the family moves to Arizona to live on a old film set. Between their father losing his mind and their mother being a absolute terror the kids turn out with all kinds of problems. A adopted cousin Oscar comes to live with them while his mother is in rehab. Oscar and Ren fall in love only to be destroyed by Ren's mother. Five years later the family tries to pick up the pieces of their lives by doing a reality family tv show.
Absolutely loved all the drama with this book, it is definitely a must read!

This book is going to be part of a series, but it can be read as stand alone. I for one will not be reading the rest of the books. I really didn't enjoy this. I am not a huge fan of books written in the 3rd person. I would much rather read from the characters POV. This book though went back & forth between the 2 main character POV & the third person. It made no sense at all and I found it very distracting. This book is a Kardashian like reality show and it got great review so I kept reading expecting it to get better, but for me it did not & I had a hard time finishing it. I would not recommend this book.

Cora Brent is an author that never disappointments me. Her characters always feel completely real. She has a way of keeping me totally engrossed and feeling every single emotion her characters go through. Born Savages, which is the first book in a new series, was no exception. It gave me all the feels and I loved both Ren (Loren) and Oz. This is a story about second chance love and the struggle to get beyond a past that left them both shattered and broken hearted. I can’t wait for the next installment of The Savage Family!

Born Savages was a great read. The blurb hooked me and all the teasers that I saw for this I knew I had to read Born Savages. This was book is about second chances and how some couples received second relationship status. I loved the characters of Oz and Ren they were so meant for each other. This book is about a family who gets a second chance of being on reality tv. And how one couple meet up after so many years of lies. It was also interesting to read about the other family characters in the book. I would like to explore more of them in the future.
