When a tribal game warden is savagely attacked in the wilderness of the Pine Ridge Reservation, William Greyeagle and the Hotamétaneo’o are drawn into an investigation that quickly becomes far more dangerous than a simple hunt. What begins with blood, missing campers, and impossible tracks soon reveals signs of an ancient darkness moving through the Great Plains.
As fear spreads across the Reservation, old stories once dismissed as legend begin to take on terrifying new meaning. Entire communities find themselves caught between forces they cannot understand, while a growing wave of violence threatens to turn neighbor against neighbor and ignite a conflict that could consume everything Greyeagle has sworn to protect.
With every new attack, the mystery deepens. Powerful enemies move unseen through the shadows, ancient powers stir beneath the earth, and each answer uncovers an even greater danger waiting beyond it. To stop the nightmare before it spreads, Greyeagle must confront truths buried deep in the history of his people. And within himself.

This was a really good book. If you read the other part of the series. It’s just a shame it was so long and coming. I think book 5 Was in 2022. This was always my favorite series by him. I think you did a really good job in this book. For a change, with so many other writers, this was not a novella . The characters are great, the stories great . Just bought opinion, but he did a great great job.
Keep it up. Try to take it make it less than 4 years.
I enjoy every one of these books in the series. I know a book has extremely well written, but it makes you want to cry for one of the characters in it. Please continue writing more and more of these books as I will be reading them and reviewing them for you so that you will again continue writing more and more books. The never-ending story.
Another Great instalment in an awesome series. Full of twists. The new characters are great. The way they blend with the existing characters is seamless. Lots of action great story.
Once again Mr. Roberts has written another great book...Kept me interested throughout entire story...Loved the fact that the Wild Hunt, Team Odin and the two tribes got together to fight...Can't wait for the next book
Much too cliche, can practically predict each new sentence and sequence of events. (“I’m going after them.” “Then I’m going too.”) Overuse of weak literary devices makes this book droll. At 55% read I had to stop. I do regret the time spent with this turd.
