This is a full-length novel with no cliffhangers

Doctor Genevieve Thomas has known her calling since she was a young girl. Her father’s suicide in the wake of his service in the Vietnam War drove her to be a psychiatrist specializing in Veteran services, and she’s utterly devoted to her cause. However, when the difficult case of Lieutenant Owen Sinclair is referred to her, she’s not certain she can handle it – not for any lack of skill, but because she finds the man himself a huge distraction. A towering mountain of muscle and intimidation, Lieutenant Sinclair might be just the shock she needs to help her discover a world of pleasure she never dreamed existed.

Owen Sinclair doesn’t like doctors. He doesn’t like discussing his past and he’s perfectly content to battle his demons on his own. The retired seal refuses to seek help for the memories that haunt his dreams until his CO sets him up in a last bid to save his sanity. Dr. Genevieve Thomas, however, is the last thing he ever expected to come across in a psychological evaluation. Her smooth, dark skin and entrancing eyes immediately enthrall him, and he quickly realizes that he must decide which is more important: his pride, or obsession with the woman slowly but surely saving his soul from the darkness that threatens it?

Hello,

So this is the part were I'm supposed to talk about myself. I write so many stories but I often I have a hard time telling my own. Funny how that works.

My name is Cristina Grenier and I have been writing stories for as long as I could remember . I'm a sucker for romance. I draw from past experiences and from others around me when I write. I enjoy creating characters that everyone can relate to.

Besides writing, I also enjoy painting and figure drawing. I'm a bit of a homebody, my ideal night consists of a chilled bottle of wine, some pasta and Netflix. I really hope you enjoy the stories I create. If you want to keep updated on my new releases and frequent FREE book giveaways, please subscribe to my email group at www.cristinagrenier.com

I received an ARC of this story for an honest review.

There was insta-lust/love on both accounts.
In this story I didn’t like it!!
I would have rather seen a slow burn.
Genevieve flirting with Owen during his first session and kissing him was really unprofessional in my opinion!
The way she dealt with his aversion to doctors’ offices was really smart.
Owen had a lot of issues nightmares ,paranoia depression ect.
Which was not resolved in my opinion.
I couldn’t connect with the Mc’s maybe because the story was too short.

I didn’t like the ending !!

There were too many questions left unanswered.

Hopefully there is a second book coming ??

I really liked this one! Dr Genevieve Thomas and Owen Sinclair's story is great. Genevieve cares so much about her patients and is passionate about her profession. She is a great doctor, person, friend and her feelings are genuine. Owen comes along and she knows she has her work cut out for her. They fight their attraction for obvious reasons, but it all works out. There is a strong plot, excellent character interaction and a wonderful ending. Excellent job and I look forward to reading more.

I really enjoyed this book...this one was a bit different dealing with an ex-soldier and his issues. I like the fact that the author was concise and factual about PTSD. I also enjoyed the chemistry between Genny and Owen. They really burned up at the sheets..lol I wish Genny's supervisor would have gotten his just desserts though. Overall, a wonderful read.

I'm n really sure how I feel about this book. It didn't move me like some of Christina's other works have. It felt like something was missing and I definitely didn't care for the ending

Fabulous!

Excellent story, loved the main characters. Pacing was good, I enjoyed the depth of their personal lives. A few typos, but those were easy to ignore. Hope to read more about Gen and Owen!

A fast read and romance about a psychiatrist who agrees to treat a therapy resistant former Navy Seal. Nothing profound but an enjoyable read.

for some reason the ending seemed rushed since there was such buildup in the detail between Genny and Owen. But I did enjoy reading this page turner probably cuz Owen was so delicious!

PTSD IS HELL

This story tells of the unorthodox method a psychiatrist used to get a retired Seal to get treatment for his PTSD symptoms. Owen and Genny fell in love during those sessions. Although making progress with his treatment, powersowers that be wanted Owen back in active duty before his being mentally ready. Refusing to agree with the powers that be, Genny loses her job, but in a effort to stop Owen from leaving, reveals what has been found out about those powers that be.

This was an easy read romance story that tells of the anguish some of our vets go through with PTSD and the affect it also has on family.
