Haunting Echoes #3

Immortal Echoes

Rate this book
After reincarnating yet again, Michael is finally with Amaia in nineteenth-century Paris. It’s the life they dreamed of two centuries ago, before she became a vampire. His love for her overshadows his distaste for her kind, but when a vampire clan threatens him and Amaia, the only path to survival is for Michael to turn into one of the creatures he hates.

Amaia harbors a special power: the ability to feed off of and control human emotions. Her sire won’t be happy until she’s part of his clan or dead. She despises the power-hungry clan, but the only way to fight it is to form one of her own. With only two friends to her name, it’s an impossible task.

In order to reconcile his new existence with God and his conscience, Michael must face the evils of his bloodlust instead of running from them. Only then can he fight for Amaia. Outnumbered, Amaia knows that only their wits can save them. All they have is a plan and a dream. As mates, if one of them dies, the other will follow, and a battlefield of vampires awaits them.

Immortal Echoes is the third book in the Haunting Echoes series and contains adult language and situations.

3.5 pretty good

I did like this book and the first book and if you enjoy vampire books well vamp romance with some killing thrown in, I think you should like this one too. It is well written isn't slow at all.
The story flows well and reads pretty fast too. Why not 4 stars like the last book though? Well I'm not wholly sure because everything I wrote above is true, but... for some reason I just couldn't wait for this book to be done. Maybe it was just that I knew what was going to happen so it wasn't really a surprise to me or I guess I could have been bored with it. I do sometimes get that way with series If they aren't really exciting, but usually not on the second book so, ok maybe it's just me because it is a good book, but I chat give it 4 or more stars if I just wanted it to be over. I also don't think I will read more of the story's after this. Usually I do so that also says something, but you may feel differently. I do recommend reading it if you read book one though if you read the first book. It ties the whole story up and answers all the questions you had about everyone.

I don't if this book is better then the first or if it was because its pucks up where book 1 ended with one if the most romantic scenes ever but I love love loved this book! Michael is such a romantic and understanding man. This book picks up right where book 1 ended but from Michael's point of view. I didn't think I could love that scene anymore then I did until I saw from his perspective. His devotion to Amaia is unwavering and the friendship with Meg and Liam grows even stronger. Great storyline, strong characters, some you love some you love to hate and a perfect ending. I read the entire book in one day It doesn't get any better then this

Kept me enraptured

There certainly was no Hollywood or Disney influence in this series. Highly realistic take on what it would really be like to live as a Vampire. I loved the relationships between Amaia and Michael and also Meg & Liam. That they're able to keep aspects of themselves (Michael's belief in God) was interesting and kept the foursome from going down bad roads at crucial times. Very well written even if you never fully know any of the characters intimately. They do have a lot to conquer and it is a grand tale.

What an adventure!!

I could not stop until I had read straight through all the books in this series! It began with the first book featured in a book bundle I bought entitled 'Secret Worlds' (a GREAT value with some equally GREAT stories!!).
The author does such a fine job weaving all the details and dialogue of this secret vampire world. I highly recommend this series and will most likely read more from this author.
