STARLIGHT, BOOK #2 IN THE PEACHES MONROE SERIES (A 4-BOOK SERIES) WILL BE RELEASED ON OR BEFORE SEPT. 5TH.

So, I fly my rockin' curves off to LA for the big Peaches Monroe (that's me) underwear shoot.

I'm nursing a broken heart from you-know-who, when along comes Keith Raven. Sexy, tanned, and nearly naked. He's my new co-model, and let me tell you, Keith is the full package with a big package (wink, wink).

My new bestie Mitchell warns me that all male models are walking disasters, but I think Keith's different. He meditates, for example. And, unlike some people, he doesn't toy with my affection.

Staying at Keith's apartment in LA and swimming in his pool is heavenly, not to mention the more intimate details of our Rebound Arrangement. What's a Rebound Arrangement, you ask? It's a fixed-length romance and a great way to turn your world upside-down.

Meanwhile, Dalton Deangelo is trying to redeem himself and win me back. He sucks at redemption, but he is charming.

Something tells me that before I leave LA, I'll be forced to make a tough decision.

This second story in the Peaches Monroe series has her in LA, after signing a plus-size modelling contract. She may have found fame dating Dalton but now she has her own personal standing and making a name for herself.

After parting ways with Dalton, she soons finds herself in a steamy rebound romance with Keith Raven, her co-worker underwear model. Being with him is easy and lots of fun, especially between the sheets. The fact that it’s a short term arrangement makes it that much more relaxed for both of them. He is leaving for Milan soon and she is heading back to her hometown and her job at the bookstore.

Peaches may be having fun with Keith but Dalton seems to keep popping up when she least wants to see him and she just needs him to back off so she can enjoy the time she has with Keith. Sounds a bit mean right but Dalton did deceive her so she has every right to want him to steer clear of her in LA.

When her time in LA is over, Peaches heads back to her real life which is about to be shaken up again. Dalton is moving to her hometown to hide away from the paps after some startling news about his past has been leaked to the media. Is she going to be able to avoid him this time?

These are light and fluffy audio reads, perfect for listening to while I’m gardening :)

How do I begin? Let’s just say that Mimi blew my socks off…and maybe panties too! After the cliffhanger of Stardust I was left with my jaw on the floor and mad at Dalton. He has some explaining to do and I was totally ready for the war of words.

Instead, I was completely mesmerized with a turn of events once Peaches showed up for her first underwear modeling photo-shoot... ummm…”Dalton who?”

She meets Mitchell who is the awesomely gay assistant assigned to Peaches during her stay in LA and he is completely delicious! I want a best friend like him…humor, intelligence and shows Peaches a good time. What is it with her a getting in trouble where there is water around (skinny dipping in the springs in Stardust and now a pool in Starlight). Gave me the giggles!

Now enter Keith (swoon)…he made me forget who Dalton was and I was totally digging his earthy hot vibe! He is a fresh face with an incredible free spirit attitude and grabs Peaches attention with his totally inappropriate comments while they are modeling underwear. Let’s just say…I will never look at a male underwear model the same again after the education I got…blushing!!!

Mimi took me on a ride that was full of laughs, frustration and some seriously HOT and STEAMY sex!! Peaches is totally comfortable in her skin and totally rocks the underwear modeling gig! Throughout the book she starts to open up about her past and you love her even more. Snippets from how things are going back home pop up here and there and she finds out she has a new employee at the bookstore for when she returns…you will have to read it to find out!

Honestly, Starlight outshined Stardust in my opinion which may be hard to believe! The book is so funny and HOT that I couldn’t put it down…completely pulled me in! There is a cliffhanger…but it is totally awesome…I want to be Peaches! She is one lucky lady…

2.75 stars. Hmm, I'm not entirely sure how to express my feelings on this book. I felt like a lot completely changed from the first book. Let's start off with Peaches...I don't feel like she was the same girl at all. I mean she was still hilarious (well some parts) but she acted very different from the Peaches I got to know. She wasn't the insecure girl with a big heart that I was used to. I felt like suddenly Peaches grew all this confidence and ego out of nowhere...especially in her sex life. Granted, the confidence is a great thing but it also changed her personality drastically. How did she go from being afraid to have sex with Dalton in the light one moment, to doing the reverse cowgirl the next. didn't feel as if there was enough of a transition and she just got cocky all of a sudden now that she was in L.A. I just wasn't a fan, but although she still had her sass, I didn't feel her humility from the first book. Another thing that really bugged me was Dalton. He was barely in this book but still seemed like an even bigger prick then the end of the first book, I kind of don't understand why he was even in this book. The author kind of made it seem as if he was just a mistake Peaches made in the past and now she found someone better to rebound with...a model named Keith. Keith..oh Keith,.what a confusing relationship between you and Peaches. They started off as rebounds and by the end of the book it seemed like he was Peaches's The ONE. Peaches opened her heart to Keith a hell of a lot more than she did with Dalton in an even shorter amount of time. But then he became the one that got away. It confused me even more when I read the synopsis for the last book...if he was your "diamond" how the hell did you go from Keith back to Adrian and Dalton? Which, or should I say who, is it??? God it is really annoying because this book was spent developing Peaches and Keith's relationship and he's not even the one who she's gonna end up with in the next one?? What was the point??? I can't explain how frustrating that is. I'm just left confused right now so I'm not entirely sure how I completely feel about this book. I do know that even though some parts of this book were funny, I didn't enjoy it as much as the first one. I think when reading a book, it's very important to have intuition of who the main heroine is meant to be with and have their relationship develop throughout the book/series. But this book was just sort of lacking in that because although we know who she is suppose to be with, it doesn't stop me from feeling that maybe there is someone better for her. And I'm just really not used to that. But major points on the creativity of this book and hopefully my feelings will change be settled in the last one.

Starlight was not exactly what I expected. After being left with such a dramatic end at the conclusion of Stardust I was seriously expecting this story to go in a completely different direction.

I seriously laughed out loud throughout this book. Mimi Strong brought her A-Game in this one. I absolutely love the unfiltered mouth of Peaches Monroe!

Peaches has arrived in LA, she had just learned about the script of Dalton's new movie and feels betrayed. But when hunky model Keith gives her a little flirty fun while on set, she finds the perfect distraction from her heartache. Peaches and Keith are both newly out of a relationship and decide to spend the next nine days unbreaking each other's hearts with some great rebound fun.

But Dalton's return to LA prompts some of Peaches feelings back. She is enjoying her time with the man that cares for her in such a sweet way, but her body still reacts to Dalton. Luckily for Peaches her time in LA is limited and so she is forced to enjoy herself while she can, before returning home.

Now, where I felt a little let down. I absolutely fell in love with Dalton in book one, and after the shocker at the end I needed him to redeem himself. I don't doubt that he has some feelings for peaches, but how much or how deep just never seemed to come to light. I was hoping for a magical HEA where he gets redemption and the girl. For that reason alone I just could not get my heart wrapped around Keith too tightly. I was holding out for some grand gesture that just never came. I know there are two more books and that all hope is not yet lost, but I have a feeling that Peaches might find at least one more man in her bed before (and if) she makes her way back to Dalton.

But even with feeling like I want to stomp my feet at not getting my way, I completely enjoyed this read. Mimi Strong's fun banter and off the wall dialogue just kept me entertained from the first page to the very last. The absolute best way to describe the removal of a condom ever can be found in this book..."Give me a minute to deal with this bag of expired fun,"

And you can't leave out the classic ex jab...
"I'd make fun of your ex, Tabitha," I said. "Except I do a lousy impression of skinny-ass-having, ex-boyfriend-fucking, Las-Vegas-slutting, bag-o-hair-best-friending, meek little anorexic whores. Mainly because of my cheekbones."

So this is for the whole trilogy... Stardust, Starlight, and Starfire.

I'll be upfront. This series wasn't really for me. I gave the whole thing a shot because it was quick (read all three in an afternoon), the summary had some amusing potential, and the trilogy was on sale as a set.

First off, throughout the entire series I couldn't shake off the sense I was reading re-badged Ian Somerhalder RPF. I'm not saying that's what this is. It likely isn't. I wouldn't know if it truly were anyway since I don't really read RPF or TVD fic or anything related to that series or that dude. But that's what it *felt* like I was reading. RPF plus some major self-insert.

Secondly, I wound up pretty much hating the main character. She was okay funny (sometimes really funny) at first, but then, as the story went on, she wasn't smart, or funny, or sassy. To me, she was immature and frankly kinda bitchy. And she had not just a chip on her shoulder, but a giant freaking boulder. I still don't understand why these guys dug her.

The main males... yeah, they were okay, but again, I wound up not liking any of them, save the stereotypically gay assistant.

The writing... okay at best.

So... eh, not my cuppa.

Arc copy given by author. Some spoiler as well. Oh Boy!!! What a series so far. I could not put this book down. I was into finding out what was going to happen with Peaches and Dalton and then I was thrown the curveball of Keith. Then the ending with Adrian. I'm so torn. Book 3 can't get here soon enough. In book 1 I liked the idea of her and Dalton but felt she would end up with Adrian. In book 2 I was expecting more of Dalton but I got Keith who I fell in love with but I'm on the border of should she be with him long term or not. I feel that they were a good match and great friends with benefits but not sure if there is room for more. I can't help but feel sad for Keith though. I guess because he never said he wanted anything more from her other than the 9 days makes me believe he doesn't really know if he wants a relationship with her. I also can't help but feel like he's going to be hurt by her moving on with Adrian to keep Dalton away. We all know feelings will develop once things heat up between her and Adrian:) I'm all sorts of confused and excited!!! PEACHES!! PEACHES!!

I'm going to give Starlight 4.5 stars. The .5 is because the traipsing around kind of bothers me a tiny bit, I understand she is young and lots to do and see in the world, but it just kind of bothers me a lot and hurts my heart because I really love Dalton(I still have hope for these two) and I fell in love with Keith, he is perfect and hilarious!! I love him sooo much! I kept wavering back and forth between Keith and Dalton, which is the right choice for Peaches? I will always think Dalton of course, I think Keith was there to pick up the pieces. They did that for each other, I know they loved each other. But I think it was more friendship and a good time, maybe I'm wrong. And Adrian, ugh, the guy cracks me up. But I just don't see him and Peaches as the "it" couple. I don't want to see Peaches going from one man to another, I know sometime this is how it goes in real life, I love the fact these books actually feel like something happens in real life, I dunno. I just like my HEA and I want Peaches and everyone to get it, if more men come into book 3, I may scream, lol....And Mitchell is probably my most favorite person known to character fiction. I LOVE HIM! He is hilarious and such a sweet heart, love him to pieces. The book was as hilarious as the first, seriously this book picked me up through some crappy times past couple days. I would read this and laugh, smile, cry and almost pee myself. I love Mimi's books and I hope she never changes or her books don't, not everything is everyone's cup of tea, but how can people not like to laugh? Mimi's books are so differen't than anything out there, that just that alone should be reason enough to read. And literally laughing your a$$ off should be another. There needs to be more books with twisted humor. I love it. What else can I say about Starlight? Peaches is even more out there, hilarious, in your face than the first. We also learn a few new things about Peaches and get quite the shocker, trust me, it'll blow your mind. I don't know what I could possibly say more than how amazing this book is and we get to see new and old characters, we get to see growth, friendship, love, maturing...we get to see it all, I loved this book and I know everyone will also! Must read <3

Some quotes I loved:

"This your first shoot working with another model. Don't be scared, I'm big and strong. Find something you like and grab on."

"Hey Peaches, how do you like these apples?"

"Yes, there is a candy supply nearby, and it's called My Purse."

"We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars."

"Did you just call me a twatweasel?"

"Not the abs either. Those are my payday. Just kick me in the shins."

"I don't go to the bakeries to sniff the icing, you know?"

"Please tell me you didn't actually quit. How can we afford our fancy brand name salad dressing if we're not a double income household?"

"Keep saying my name like that, and you won't be doing anything tonight but listening to whale songs and playing a five-finger solo on the man-banjo."

"You act like an earth muffin, but you're a sex freak."

"Should I unplug the blow dryer first? I'm not electrician, but something tells me that might be dangerous."

"You need to come home from LA immediately. Those f^&*-ing pretty boys are eating your soul. Also, I miss you."

"If you're trying to make me feel like s*&^ on toast, it's working. I'm dressed in a drag queen's clothes, I got a tattoo I'm too scared to look at, I narrowly escaped getting arrested, and now the world's most beloved TV vampire is telling me I suck at life."

"Stop looking at me like you're the fox and you just got the keys to my hen house."

"Please don't judge me, but I stole the napkin he used to wipe his mouth."

"I'm more of a poisoner, you know? That's how most female serial killers take care of their victims."

"You inspire me with your enthusiasm for life, and your honesty, and your passion. Peaches, you make me want to grow up So, Happy Birthday to me. I couldn't have picked a better way to spend today, and before you say it, oh, yes, there will be cake."

"You've already charmed my snake, so whatever you're doing, it's working."

"Like flowers in the spring, nothing beautiful is permanent."

"Maybe she's stardust from the next galaxy over."

Review of Starlight by Mimi Strong
This book was provided by the author for an honest review.

Damn you MIMI STRONG! Let me just tell you what you did… YOU crazy author lady made me fall head over heels in love with a douche bag, then made me tumble ass over tea kettle for a sexy guy that made me want to keep him only to remind me how much I was in love with the sexy one that got away. Seriously, you completely made me a bbf SLUT! What the hell. Okay, rant over, I think…

Peaches… I love Peaches. I am totally on Team Peaches. She is snarky, funny, naïve, lovable, and a freakin’ mess. In true Peaches fashion I was laughing until I had tears at several places throughout the story…. Here is a highlight of a few of those special moments:

“How do you feel about a flying double-punch to the asshole?”
“I’ll go to that coffee place that’s walking distance. Jitter Bugs. Jitter beans. Jitterpalooza. Jizzing Bed Bugs. Fuck. What is that place called?”
“I know what a lying, deceiving twatweazel you are.”

And those are just a few of my favorites… there are so many, many more.
For those of you who are in the know and read Stardust, you know about the douchebaggery that happened at the ending – IF you haven’t read it just beware the remainder of this review could contain spoilers for book ONE! – Anywho, back to the douchebaggery, well the douche canoe is pushed aside and we meet Keith, who I personally would love to chain in my basement just so I could hear him say nice things to me. I don’t really care about the other.. *clears throat* talents he has as a hot, sexy underwear model, but damn he is one smoooooth talker. If you liked Dalton, you will absolutely SWOON for Keith.

And then we have the knight in shining armor- Mitchell, who can take me shopping any day! He saves Peaches time and time again on the set and helps guide her through her photo shoot and commercial. He also introduces her to the club scene and they find themselves in more than one compromising position.

No I haven’t forgotten you are all wondering about Adrian… DAMN the man for being so smexy, irresistible, and there when the alcohol is flowing. I refuse to tell you anymore, you will just have to pick up Starlight and read it like the rest of us book whores.

I give this book 5 stars for storyline and 5 drenched panties for smut factor. I also want to note that I would read this book again and again just to giggle at Peaches shenanigans.

*****5++++Diamond Stars *****

I loved the first book of this series (Stardust) , but I never thought I could love this one even more! leave it to Mimi Strong to outdo herself. I had so many emotions and three times more fun reading this that I was scared I might burst.

Peaches is sooo cool that she gets to score two hot guys this time, go to LA for a modeling job ( yep! My girl is a plus size model and lingerie designer now) finds a new super awesome gay best friend, and gets into so many crazy shenanigans in this town to leave your head spinning. Freaking awesome!!!!!

That's it for this sad attempt of a review, but I'm a selfish person and is more important to me to go and continue reading the third and las book (Starfire) of this fantastic trilogy that has taken a hold of my heart and I just can't wait to read the conclusion of the Peaches Monroe wild ride.

I honestly don’t know where Mimi Strong comes up with the outrageous words that come out of Peaches Monroe’s mouth, but I love the way her mind works. Book one in the Peaches Monroe series, Stardust, is undoubtedly one of the funniest books I’ve ever read, and its sequel, Starlight, follows suit. This is definitely the type of book you should read in private, and I’m not just referring to the naughty bits. I’m certain that if I was reading this in public, anyone who happened to be sitting nearby would’ve been subjected to spontaneous and raucous bouts of laughter.

With the story set in Hollywood, there are plenty of opportunities for craziness, especially after the shocking cliffhanger that ended book one. Starlight chronicles Peaches’ burgeoning career as a plus-size lingerie model, adding a couple new characters to shake things up. There’s a hunky new guy on the scene to rival the affections of Dalton Deangelo, fellow model Keith Raven. There’s a great quote in the book from Peaches’ bestie about how her love interests keep getting hotter and stranger, which I think is an accurate assessment. Keith is sweet and sexy with a dash of bizarre, although it’s a different brand of strange than Dalton.

No matter her love interest, Peaches is a fierce and fabulous heroine. Some of the words that she spouts out without a second thought are so outrageous and ridiculous, but that’s what makes her so awesome. Even though I was cracking up for the majority of the book, there are moments of seriousness to balance the craziness of this whirlwind adventure. Amidst the hilarity are unexpectedly intense moments that reveal bits and pieces of Peaches’ past, which provides background for her character that allowed me to better understand her present mindset.

Starlight is an enjoyable and engaging book and it seemed to end far too soon. Of course, the book ends in another cliffhanger, although this one didn’t come as such a shock. With this ending, Mimi Strong closes one chapter of Peaches’ life and opens new future possibilities that will be played out in the next two books in the series. This book is an entertaining interlude, setting up an exciting series of events for what promises to be a juicy third book. I, for one cannot wait for the follow-up novels.

Was given an ARC for honest review!!

First off YOU MUST READ STARDUST so you can read this book Starlight!! Mimi Strong you are a creative genius!! I'm not a fan of serious cliffhangers & usually wait for the entire series to be released but this is one series I will continue to gobble up as soon as their available!

Peaches Monroe is a curvy, sassy, feisty, & funny bookstore manager of a small town in Washington state turn curvy plus-size model! We start this book where Stardust left off with Peaches headed to LA to do publicity for her underwear line & she's staying at hot, charming, & suave actor, Dalton's mansion. Here Peaches discovers Dalton hasn't been being truthful & she's feeling quite used. (Aw Dalton......WHY?)

Peaches meets Mitchell, her assistant at the photo shoot, & they hit it off like a pair of bestie girlfriends! Mitchell shows Peaches some wild nights in LA & she ends up with a nice permanent keepsake (you'll have to read Starlight to find out)!

Keith Raven who is a one hot specimen of male godliness (with a huge package as Peaches is so nice to point out to us....thank you Peaches) helps Peaches get through her first day of the photo shoot. Lots of flirting & eye f@#king and soon Keith & Peaches come up with an arrangement for her time in LA.

Dalton is still in the picture as he tries to explain himself & never is too far away.

We hear from Shayla, Peaches' roommate, & Adrian , Peaches' high school crush, in this book too.

We also find out a secret Peaches has been hiding that I wasn't expecting!

As always, this book contains many literal laugh my a$$ out loud moments & some very steamy love scenes!

Mimi, you don't disappoint & now I'm waiting on the edge of my seat for book #3 which I must say can't be done soon enough! Team Peaches all the way!!

I received an Advance Review Copy (ARC) for my honest review.

I have never laughed out loud so much while reading a book. And I mean "haha" laughing, open mouth, close-my-eyes-and-hold-my-belly giggles, wish-I-could-share-this-with-my-husband-but-it-won't-make-sense-out-of-context-and-he'd-kill-me-if-I-tried-to-read-it-to-him-from-the-beginning kind of laughing!

It didn't surprise me to have divided loyalties to Peaches' love interests in this one, and I have a feeling it's only going to get more complicated in book 3. But it wouldn't have me on the edge of my seat if it was buttoned up neatly in book 2.

The characters are still swoonworthy, but nothing about this series is cookie-cutter or predictable. Peaches reveals some of her past and there's a depth that somehow works fine against the backdrop of her antics. Book 1 ended with me wanting so much to hear Dalton's explanation, but somehow it didn't take much for me to be all wrapped up in her rebound.

Now we're starting to see that Peaches' issues aren't just the result of outside influences, but that she prevents herself from pushing through them. Now that she ends up back in Beaverdale by the end of book 2, she will have no choice but to face the music. Though I'm sure she'll manage to avoid that as long as possible, at least until book 4 :).

In both books, Mimi's writing style produced a movie in my head that I'd love to see on screen. This was a much anticipated book and I wasn't disappointed.

I so want a gay boyfriend...i want a Mitchell in my life. Someone to bitch about everyone else and go partying to all the gay clubs and someone to share the love for the word Fierce! I knoow Fierce right, its such a Fierce world! LOL
Peaches second book is cool, not awesome like the first one, but still very good!
I like Keith and his sweet gestures and words, but i really don't get all that sex without coming thing, i'm not sold on the all thing or Keith.
Drunk Peaches is OMG SO FIERCE! LOL For real, she is my kind of girl. The one that gets a tatoo while drum...meaning that's probably what'll take for me to get the courage and make the tattoo i've talking about doing for the last...maybe 3 years!
Through out the all book i was waiting for Dalton to step up and get his girl back...pussy! And i still don't know what he wispered to Keith's ear and i need to know, 'i'm curious like that ;)
Peaches pregnancy and Kyle...no matter what i'll always think that parents who addopt their kids babies is just weird. In a sonner or later blowing up in your face situation...we'll see what happens!
The end of the second book in promising...i really appreciate that Peaches went back to Beaverdale and i'm very curious to what will happen when her add cames out!
I'm thrilled that Dalton moved/went in hide in to her hometown and being a hopeless romantic i want him to win her back.
Adrian and Peaches is comming...and we'll see!!!

I received an Advance Review Copy (ARC) for my honest review.

First let me say that I really like the character Peaches. She is fun, witty, self assured, has flaws, and is very relatable. She can make you laugh with some of the quick lines and sayings she can come up with. I think that she is one of the most relatable characters I have read in some time.

Be aware not to read any further unless you want spoilers:

I must say I didn't care for how quickly she bounces into relationships. She went from leaving Dalton's house to next finding Keith Raven and ends up staying with him during her stay in L.A. I think my problem is that there didn't feel like any closure with her first relationship with Dalton before jumping into one with Keith. I enjoyed the character of Dalton and was disappointed that he was not in this book that much at all. Don't get me wrong Keith he was sensitive, caring, and a gentlemen and had it been timed better i would have appreciated him more. Perhaps it's the fact that in the first book I didn't realize the secrets that could occur in this one and would show how emotionally closed off Peaches truly is to happiness and a real relationship.

Overall this is a good book and continues the many adventures of Peaches Monroe, in a fun light hearted way. I would recommend these books.

I was given an ARC of this novel in exchange for an unbiased review.

I freaking LOVED this book. I love Peaches, and her hilarious roommate, and the secondary characters and the love interests. This book is sexy, unexpectedly emotionally charged, and funny in a way that's hard to explain. It's also brutally honest, in how it deals with the stickiness of relationships, the awkward parts of sex & the screwed up way we cope with the difficult things in life. Peaches is so real in those ways, and I feel like *this* book took the series to a whole new place, bordering the line between erotic/new adult romance and...dare I say it...chick lit? Which is not my thing, but there needs to be a better category for this than just "romance". Peaches is finding a life (and herself, as the byproduct.)

I mainly read for entertainment, so I'm not one to get excited about angsty books. Strong handles the love triangle, the very serious subject matter in Peaches' past, and the body image struggles with the perfect balance of perspective and humor that leaves you desperate for more instead of praying for a happy ending to redeem all the drama. This IS book 2 in a 4-book series, so if you're not looking for a commitment, this might not be your thing. But you'd really be missing out!

Go Team Peaches!

I received an ARC copy and finished it last night.
This book started where Stardust concluded, with Peaches being heartbroken over finding that the famous actor, Dalton Deangelo was with her doing research on dating a "big" girl for his next movie.
She is devastated, and leaves his apartment.
We go with Peaches as she continues with her modeling gig for the underwear line and there she meets the male model, Keith Raven. The relationship that develops between Peaches and Keith is very sweet. They get it on pretty heavy, but still manage to make it more than just sex. It was very refreshing to see how regardless of what happened to her with Dalton, she still managed to hold her head high and didn't let that shatter the confidence she had in herself and her body. Peaches made another really good friend, Mitchell, the photographer's assistant and he also helped her keep her sanity while dealing with her love issues. They get into some very funny situations, but I won't spoil it for anyone by mentioning them.
This second book in the series had me laughing with their colorful language and insane situations, and I really enjoyed it, just like the first one.
Peaches is one hell of a girl and I would love to have her as a friend.
This is a very enjoyable book and I recommend it to everyone.

After the ending in book 1, I was... concerned about Peaches and Dalton. From what Peaches had seen, Dalton did something unforgivable. While I'm totally all over calling him on it, she moved out without giving him a chance to explain. And that gave me a sad face. On the other hand, Dalton had repeatedly told her actors lie. So how much could she trust anything he told her?

Needless to say, Peaches got herself into a couple of sticky situations while in LA. She went from Dalton's house straight into Keith's (he of the mind-blowing tantric sex) and proceeded to paint the town red. Actually, she painted it in big, Peaches colored strokes. That girl and alcohol are a lethal combination.

The Keith/Dalton standoffs were pretty hilarious. Seriously, their testosterone fueled altercations gave me a laugh. The way Dalton kept popping up whenever Peaches needed him was telling. I honestly felt for Keith because as much as I liked his sweet, unassuming, granola ways, I just couldn't see him keeping up with Peaches in the end.

We find out a secret or two about Peaches and she sees just how much she misses home. Fun, flirty, with some smokin' tantric sexin'. *thumbs up*

First off let me say you really must read Stardust before reading this one and make sure you have Starlight waiting for you when you're done because it is impossible not to want to move straight to the next book.

Again I love this book with all it ups and down, Peaces had me in hysterics one minute and sobbing the next, such a smart mouthed, sassy, fun character how could you not love her and the fact that she a curvy girl only make her more lovable, especially if like me as a curvy girl yourself and fed up with reading about the love lives of these waif like girls in other book.

As for the men, well Dalten as before smouldering and sexy but still as arrogant as ever and the introduction of Keith also very sexy and smouldering but also sensitive and the chemistry with Kieth and Peaces is electric.

This book didn't disappoint just the right amount of love, laughs and sex, it's one of those book that you can't wait finish and find out the ending but was sad when you do because you know you'll have to wait for the next book in the series.

Can't recommend enough.....soooo when can I get the next one? Can't come soon enough :)

Review: I got this book from Ashley’s Reading bliss blog as an ARC and so here is my honest review. I was so glad that I got to go straight from reading Stardust to Starlight. I enjoyed reading Stardust and was happy to have Starlight. I can’t believe how Dalton ended up treating Peaches. But I have a feeling things will turn around for them, maybe in the next book? I am pretty happy that there are two more books after this one! Peaches is off to LA to be a curvy underwear model and shoot a commercial for her new line. Things are picking up for Peaches while she is trying to mend her broken heart. She meets Keith at the shoot and they have this chemistry and Peaches ends up staying with him because she can’t go back to Dalton’s. She is forced to make some choices and you are left waiting to see what happens in the next book! But it was good and I very much enjoyed reading it. Thank you Ashley for the ARC. I would recommend this book but make sure you read Stardust!!! I give this book a 4 out of 5 stars.

So- I trudged through the first Peaches book. That was hard in itself. It was like a car wreck with blood and gore everywhere. You know, the one you don't really want to look at, but you can't help but stare as you drive by? That was the first Peaches book. And of course, it had to stop in that major cliffhanger which left me feeling like I saw a decapitated head after driving by the wreck. So then, of course, I wanted to find the head.

Oh big mistake. Finding the head is so not a good idea people! Peaches is a not-so-little harlot. I stopped less than halfway in. I found myself absolutely hating Peaches, the way she talks, the way she whines and the way she acts. I wanted to slap her and tell her to grow the hell up. And once I found out that there is yet ANOTHER wreck, I mean book, after this one I just couldn't take it. The road finally cleared and I drove on by.

So long Peaches Monroe. I kinda wish I never met you.

I received an ARC copy for an honest review.

I loved this book, love the series, LOVE Peaches and all the character. These books are so funny, my husband looks at me like I'm crazy while I'm reading them. I wish stuff like this happened in MY life, it would be so much more fun. Every character is special. The only reason I would say 4.5 stars is that the first book was soooo different from anything I've read, so this book was just a tad less -- but really it's just as good, it's just that the first one broke the mold. Hope I'm making sense. Don't hesitate to read them all, and I can't wait for the other 2 books to come out.

Laughter is the best medicine! Peaches Monroe knows her own mind and is not afraid to speak. She is every woman's alter ego. She is searching for love, in her own way. Love this series!

3.5 A different read, funny at times. Enjoyed all the characters, author has a way of making them come alive. I would give the whole series a 3.5 on my rating scale.

I loved the first book and I was #TeamPeaches all the way. All I can say is that I'm disappointed in the second book of this series, and it was a chore to finish.

Starlight

Peaches is in L.A. For a underwear shoot. She's excited and waiting for her man Dalton at his house, while there she reads one of his scripts and realized that he's been using her for research for his new movie. While mad at Dalton she goes to her photo shoot and meet Keith whose also getting over a breakup. When Keith invited her to be a rebound to each other for nine days she agrees. Can this girl stay out of trouble? Great read. Now on to the last book in this series.

Even better than the first

But our girl is kinda a slut. In a funny, earthy way, but seriously? I think I liked this one better as it had more characters. Love me some Mitchell (not Mitch!)

It was ok

Nothing spectacular but entertaining. Not necessarily a cliffhanger but definitely not a complete story so you have to read the next one. I’m hoping it’s the last. Peaches is interesting but I can only handle so much of her and her hectic lifestyle.

Laughs and hugs.

This is a cute and quirky story about full figure girls. This book is good for anyone that loves humor and romance.
