Ellie is a strong minded woman who needs to work on her self-esteem since her ex walked all over it. Her best friend Dixie thinks she needs a fling to get her back to her old self. When Ellie sees tattooed hard body Dylan Luck she begins to thinks that Dixie might be one to something.
Dylan Luck is a handsome, rich, powerful playboy who can get any woman he wants. After being tricked into going on a well deserve vacation Dylan is bored with the women around him until he sees the sweet, innocence Ellie Chase. He’s drawn to her but can’t understand why as he has never been so drawn to a woman before.
What a beginning to a three part series. I was hooked after I finished the first chapter. When Ellie first meets Dylan she doesn’t believe that a man that looks like him could ever be interesting in a woman like her. Ellie is like most woman who underestimate themselves but with some encouragement from Dixie and an invitation from Dylan for both of the woman to join him at the resort exclusive party Ellie decides to give it a chance. At this party is where the readers really get to see a side of Dylan that he doesn’t show too often. He may be a man who doesn’t do relationships but he does respect that a woman does have a choice. I love how protective Dylan is of both women and how he can get Ellie to come out and let loose making her feel safe when she finally does. Of course with this being a three part story were left with wondering why there are some unwelcomed visitors at Dylan’s door. K.B. Winters newest series is off to a great start and I can’t wait to see what’s in store for Ellie and Dylan in the next book.

Dylan is on a forced vacation by his mother, and he is bored (how anyone can be bored on a holiday/vacation is beyond me) but whilst checking out the boob fest that is on offer, but by chance she bumps into him and now he can't stop thinking about her. Ellie has won a holiday and she is there with her friend Dixie (that's her nickname and she proud of it) but she can't remember entering but when it's all inclusive she not one to knock it back. But now it seems there is more to Dylan than meets the eye when someone comes knocking.
The title may say What the Luck but my reaction to the ending was more like What The Fcuk.

If you're looking for a short, well written and fast-paced story with drama, mystery, and explosive chemistry, then stop looking and one-click What The Luck, Book 1 by K.B. Winters. Just be prepared for a major cliffhanger.

I love these stories ,that are short and not so sweet. He knew what he wanted, and made sure she knew she was it. His confusion from his feelings made this a great push and pull type read.

Millionaire Dylan is flying solo on a much need holiday. That is not to say that he is delighted about being forced to take time out of the office, but when his mother put her foot firmly down, he packed his ass up and checked into the most spectacular room in the most exclusive resort he could find.
Now Dylan is a high maintenance man in many respects, he has needs and expectations that he definitely needs and expects to be met and that means that he likes to dally on the wilder side of the spectrum, no stranger to a ménage or two.
But his tastes are shifting and he has resolved that he needs to find himself a woman, note I said “a” woman, just the one – hallelujah!!!
But he hits a snags in the plan when the object of his obsession the delightful Ellie, refuses to get with his program and despite every effort and believe me has pulls out all the stops, she is having none of either it or him.
Thrust together when she accidentally bumps into him and spills her drink, she is more than apologetic but she is far from ready to be swept of her feet. Dylan tries so hard but it isn’t until she really to meet him for dinner( in his suite no less) that he finally gets to spend some one on one time with her , but is he going to get what he wants or will this elusive girl slip through his fingers?
Ellie is a clever girl, enjoying her winnings!
She won her break at the resort, although she has no idea how? But heck it’s free so why not!
So packing up her BFF Dixie, she has sacked off her studies at Georgetown for the week – political science can wait.
The chemistry between Dylan and Ellie is combustible but Ellie like the vast majority of women in the world is far from comfortable in her own skin, she has all the right curves in all the right places but the much touted stick thin image is never far nowadays and because of this, Ellie hides her luscious curves – which is just a waste!
I liked the book, I liked the characters and I liked the fact that Ellie was normal – but I didn’t like the fact that her body image was such a big deal. I understand body insecurities but she dwelt on them a little too long for my liking, I only hope that this is swept aside in the next book.

WOW! The Only thing wrong with this series is that it ended!!! It’s so great but I still need more!!!
Ellie won a sweepstakes to sun, beach & sand for seven days and is bring along her BFF, Dixie. They are gonna have fun and relax since it’s an all inclusive resort. They are both in college and don’t have much money, so this surprise vacay is just what they need. Dixie is wild!!! Like to the max wild!!! Ellie is her complete opposite….conservative and shy, not model thin and not interested in most guys.
Then Dylan Luck comes into the picture. Ellie is sure he wants Dixie since he’s so amazingly handsome he would want a beautiful, experienced, model like type of girl. That’s not Ellie.
However, it is definitely Ellie that Dylan wants. And he wants her badly. And he gets her too. Boy or Boy…..does he ever!!! HOT! HOT! HOT! He’s demanding in the bedroom and she realizes that she loves it. He takes away her insecurities and stress. She can do what he says and know that she’s safe and don’t have to think. She’s falling for him but what will happen when he pushes her away? What happens when both their vacations end?
Like I said this story was fantastic. It was easy to read and there were only a few characters to keep up with. I just want to read more about them. Please Ms. Winters….I need to know what happens when they get back to their lives. What will happen when he brings her home to his mom? :o How will they work their schedules? Marriage? Babies?

KB Winters is such a brilliant author and I always get so excited at the prospect of reading anything new that she is publishing so needless to say I was incredibly excited when What The Luck came across my e-reader and KB Winters did not disappoint it was sinfully delicious!
What The Luck is about Dylan Luck who is a self made billionaire who finds himself taking a vacation at Cielo's Resort. Dylan finds himself bored and thinking more about work and being in the board room than being at the resort even though he has a choice of any of the bikini clad models surrounding him at the resort. That is until his eyes land on the girl that portrays the good girl innocence and then his obsession begins.
Eleanor Chase is a wins a vacation and ends up with her best friend Dixie at Cielo's Resort for some relaxation and some fun in the sun but what she finds is a tatted up arrogant bad boy that seems to have a penchant for telling her what to do and trying his best to get her to get down and dirty with him. This is one hot and steamy little novella Eleanor and Dylan have some major chemistry going on and its going to exciting to see where the series is going to take them. KB Winters left us readers with one heck of a little cliff hanger and I can't wait for the next book to see what happens!!!

Ok so my first question is where can I sign up to go on vacation of my own like this that Dylan has been forced to take, because let me tell you, there would be no need to force me I would sign on the doted line and be ready to go in a heartbeat. My second question is how do I find a Dylan Luck of my own?
This book was very well written and well developed and the plot is fast paced and the jaw dropping cliff hanger that ends it all made the book fantastic. The characters in the book are very well written and the instant chemistry between Dylan and Ellie is so hot.
In this book we see Dylan on a forced, by his mother, vacation where he has booked the most luxurious room that the resort has to offer and trying to step away from his usual menage sexcapades he decides that he only needs one women. And that women happens to be Ellie, the women who fell into meeting him when she was pushed into him and made him spill his drink. In this book we see Dylan make every effort to wine and dine Ellie but she will have no part of that. Until the moment that Ellie seems entranced by Dylan when she agrees to have dinner with him. Little did she know that dinner would be in his suite. Will Ellie give into Dylan???
Cannot wait for book two as this cliff hanger has left me begging for more, I need to know what happens like yesterday.

Gifted for an honest review – 3 stars
Ooooh, I’m not so sure about this one, maybe because it’s been chopped into a serial and the first part didn’t quite seem enough. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind a good set of books that are done this way but the only thing I think I really liked about this first part was the absolutely epic cliff hanger. I think I might be able to guess what is coming though….
I kind of got into the characters, again I didn’t feel there was enough here to feel how well they are developed in terms of the plot/story. I had a hard time warming up to Dylan Luck, in fact I didn’t particularly like him all that much and I think with a series like this you need to give at least something that your readers will like (even if it is small) in the main characters. The storyline is a tried and tested common one, I can’t yet tell how good or bad it is so I shall reserve judgement for now.
So I didn’t really get much out of this instalment and I have to rate it that way I’m afraid, I’m hoping that I can get into this a bit better with the second book. The writing style seemed decent enough and that certainly didn’t put me off so we shall wait for book two now…..

I was given an ARC of this book for an honest review
This is the story of Dylan and Ellie. Dylan is a millionaire from New York who is at an island resort for a much needed vacation. While there, he meets Ellie, a political science major from Georgetown University who is there with her best friend Dixie. Ellie won the weeklong vacation at the island resort from a contest that she does not remember entering. One night while at the bar, Dylan and Ellie meet under less than happy conditions. Apparently Ellie is a “curvy” girl. She is self conscious and covers her body up as much as possible. She has major issues with her body, like most plus size women.
This is the first book in a three part series. It is a very short read. The chemistry between the two is undeniable, but I feel that Dixie, Ellie’s best friend and roommate is an awesome addition.
The reason for the four stars is twofold. One, the story is extremely short, only 40 pages. Two, I am a plus size woman and I do not like to read about plus size women that are not confidant. I don't want to read a story about a curvy woman who thinks bad about herself, I live with that every day.

The reason for the four stars is twofold. One, the story is extremely short, only 40 pages. Two, I am a plus size woman and I do not like to read about plus size women that are not confidant. I don't want to read a story about a curvy woman who thinks bad about herself, I live with that every day.

OK so where the hell have all these wonderful authors been hiding all my life?! I was given this book in exchange for an honest review. So here goes.
I absolutely am a true fan of Ms. Winters now. I look forward to reading many more of hers. On one hand we have Mr. Luck (Yes his real name), a billionaire whos mommy had to force a vacation. He is NOT at all charming. This is one of the little things that gave it 4/5 stars for me. We all LOVE the ass that turns into a sweet, loving, stallion. I just want something a little different.
Eleanor "Ellie" Chase is a run of the mill young woman. She is one hell of a lucky one at that. I wish our mall gave away vacation packages! But when she packs a bag, and best friend for the trip she never expected what came next. When she accidentally dumps a drink on a tatted ass, she is quick to realize hes bossy as hell too. She is determined to NOT let him tell her what to do. Will this young woman be able to tame this stallion? Or will it end all too soon.
MAJOR CLIFFHANGER! As in this is one of those stories, that the next chapter LITERALLY in the next book.

BOOK 1 - 4.5 STARS!
I enjoyed this series. This author is new to me but each time I read something by her, I leave happy, satisfied, and a small on my face. This book was really good. This was a fast read that just barely wet my appetite. Short and sweet, it was sexy, fun, intense, edgy, and will make you swoon. Get ready to fall in love in paradise. Warning, this book does end on a cliffhanger so be warned.
This is the beginning of Dylan and Ellie's story. Dylan has been forced on vacation by his mother. He is in paradise and can't seem to be happy. Until Ellie. Ellie is a struggling with many things in her life, but won this vacation so she and her BFF. Dixie, pack up their things to lounge in paradise for a week. She has no idea that Dylan, the man she meets, is going to forever change her life.
I highly recommend this series.

5 Star Beginning to a Hot New Series.

Dylan was on vacation. A forced one at that, his mother forces him to take time off of work and relax. But relaxing is hard to do for a man that is always on the go. Work, Money and women that is what gets him through the week. So you would think that being on vacation he would get at least on of those out of the way right? I mean women on the beach. No go nothing to really hold his interest and help him unwind, until it falls in his lap or bumps into him. Ellie is the one girls he can't get enough of.
This short is sexy and yes will end in a cliffer. Lucky for you that you can now read the next one as soon as you are finished with this one.

I was gifted this book in exchange for an honest review.
I loved this book. I loved Ellie and everything about her. I felt like she was more normal and relatable. Dylan, was a normal workaholic that was trying to take for himself per his mom's birthday wish. These two stumbled across each other in a small island bar and got to spend a magical evening together.
These two had chemistry from the beginning and you could feel in coming off the pages of the book. You kept reading because you wanted to know what was going to happen. If found myself wanting to know more about both of them. I wanted to know more about Dixie, Ellie's roommate. I couldn't wait to start the next book after being left with a such a ending. What the Luck is a 3 part series and the first book I have read by this author. I was lucky enough to be gifted a copy to read for Gemma Reads Too much.
Part 1 is super short but done very well, we get an intro to both Dylan and Ellie and surprisingly I actually liked both characters.
Dylan is fab he’s just enough of an asshole to interesting but not so much of a conceited twat that I didn’t want to read about him.
This part ends on a cliff-hanger so I’m glad that I have part 2 to go straight onto.
This story is hinting at getting a bit kinky which I’m not sure is something that is that cool considering they are complete strangers.

KB Winters is rapidly becoming a favorite of mine. Book 1 is a short and sexy read. Dylan Luck is a very HOT, workaholic alpha male, that's forced by his mom to take a vacation at the Cielos Resort. Eleanor Chase is a student that has won a vacation at the same resort, and she takes it with her best friend, Dixie. After Ellie, literally bumps into Dylan, he decides he has to have her. She's not quite so sure, because men like him don't want girls like her. This short read has drama and off the charts, smokin HOT sexiness. It's an easy story to get sucked into from the first page. I love KB Winters awesome writing style and can't wait to read the rest.

Just when you are getting to know the main characters there is a sudden and heart racing cliffhanger to this great new book from K.B. Winters. I love her style of writing, she makes it easy for me to get into to a new series. The main female in this book is different; she isn't the hottest chick in the resort, but that's what makes her so enjoyable. She is sassy one minute and falling for Dylan the next, who isn't your typical business suit and tie guy! I can't wait to see what's in store for Ellie and Dylan in the next book!!!

LOVE LOVE LOVED IT!!!!! Dylan luck is the ultimate sex on legs, he normally goes for the fake boobs, fake woman no questions type of woman, but when Eleanor comes into his sight things change completely, she is not a one night stand and thinks that all Dylan wants from her... but is it, Eleanor makes him feel things that he's not use to and he doesn't know what to do..... This is going to be a brilliant series and I recommend it to everyone...

Dylan is a gorgeous young man that has been very successful. He concentrates so much on his work he never has time for a social life. His mom insists on him taking a vacation to relax and enjoy his young life like he should. He really has no interest but he goes to an island. Cliffhanger alert! Dylan knows what he want and is not afraid to go after it. And he wants Ellie.
I love the characters and really got into the story line right away.

WOW! What a great beginning to a new series!! Who doesn't love a book about a hot guy that is alpha!! YUMMY!! LOVED this book!! It's a quick read, but it is action packed!! I was glad it was short because I wanted to read it in one sitting and that was easily done! WHAT AN ENDING to book 1!!! Looking forward to book 2!!
