As a child he had his first bad dream the day before his father was murdered. Then every day and night after that. The only option to give him a normal life was medication.
YOU’RE ABOUT TO DIE. THE SPIRITS ARE WILLING HIM TO SAVE YOUR LIFE.
Now, almost thirty, Lindsey Phillips is too busy to make it to the drug store to collect his prescription. A vivid dream of being shot in a bank robbery puts his life in danger and makes him a hero the very next day.
Drawing the attention from Detective Andrea Chambers (The Moon on Our Backs), he is forced to explain to her why he blacked out in her interview room and why marks spontaneously appeared around his throat.
They will need to accept each other’s help to save the life of a serial killer’s next victim and discover the true identity of Lindsey’s father’s killer.
Mathew Coad lives in the rural Australian town of Wangaratta, Victoria with his wife and two children. He works full time in retail, feverishly writing on lunch breaks in hope of one day writing full time. He also enjoys brewing his own beer and tending to his backyard hop garden. The Moon On Our Backs is his first published novel.
I was looking forward to receiving Mathew's second paperback, Spirits Willing.
I also have his first "The Moon On Our Backs" and enjoyed it immensely.
Spirits Willing is an unusual and quite entertaining mix of murder mystery and the paranormal.
When Lindsey Phillips decides to act on his visions that predict other people's murders he teams up with detective Andrea Chambers with the good intentions of saving lives. They also both hope to solve the cold case mystery murder of Lindsey's own father many years earlier.
It is a fast paced and interesting story line with a few unexpected and intriguing twists.
