Al Malfuz covers a large number of topics which showcase the breadth of Imam Ahmad Raza's knowledge of the Islamic Sciences. His discussions on various issues of fiqh revealed his dedication to and firmness on the Shariah. I found him to be stricter on a lot of subjects compared to many various scholars, many of whom attribute themselves to him, and yet he was also much more allowing on lenient than I expected on other matters.

I have to nevertheless mention that many episodes of Sufi mystics and Tassawuf made me take a step back, especially discussions on Majzubs and their exceptions vis-a-vis the outer Shariah. Far from me to disagree with the illustrious Imam on any issue, but I prefer to distance myself from these topics since my heart is slightly skeptic.

My greatest regret while reading this was that I did not take any notes. Most of my readings were done during my commute to work - on the bus or while waiting for transport. I hope to re-read this book one day incha'allah and profit much more from its bounties.
