Home... it felt like home being back in the world of The Hexagons after almost an entire year. Gypsy Love, book 5 in the Hexagons series features Edward and Allannah's love story - the story I was waiting for🤭
Meet our mmc, Edward. Mr Prim and Proper was such a delight to read! After years (and I mean YEARS) of yearning for his story and messaging the author, Simi, for even the tiniest detail about him, all I can say with full confidence that Edward did NOT disappoint. Edward is the epitome of control. His life revolves around lists and plans. "You, brother, will be remembered for your lists," 🤣
Being in debt to the Duke of Ireland causes Edward to leave for Ireland and assist the Duke, all while putting his duty of finding a wife on hold, but fate had something up it's sleeve.
Allannah, or should I say Madds, our Irish princess, and the life of the forest barges into our story, capturing it and stealing the spotlight. It is decided then, before even Edward can come to terms with it, that this is Allannah's world and everyone else just lives in it🤭 Madds knows that Edward is her Prince Charming and she wastes no time in relaying the fact to him! As the pages turned and the story unfolded, these characters built a home in my heart and left me begging for more. Saying goodbye was the only downside to Gypsy Love!!
I loved Madds and Edward. Their bond was undeniable, and the romance was so complex and beautifully woven. Their story was just unique! The twists... my oh my, Red Raven... I see you👀🤭
Madds is FORMIDABLE!! I loved how she made Edward beg-love him, but he did deserve it!!! She was fierce and not a push-over in the least. "I do believe you owe me a dance" 🤣🤣 love her boldness!! Oh, and one of my favourites, "I do not invite danger / Danger simply enjoys my company." 🫶🏼🌸 But let's give some way to the best personality trait that Madds has... A SHOPPING ADDICTION!!!!!!!!❤️ " 'Why is the chair coming?' Edward asked, his voice thin with despair. 'It spoke to me,' Allannah replied sweetly, as if this explained everything. " Now, Ladies and Gentlemen, we can say that she is definitely a Madds🤭✨️
Simi brought back our Hexagon stars: George, Eva, Lizzy, James, Richard, Katya, and more!!! Seeing my babies as parents...🥹❤️ love!!!! The brotherhood was so wholesome to read about but the sisterhood... I felt like I've returned home after a long journey!! Simi writes "found family" like no other. The way the girls just supported Madds even before knowing her story... love them. A character that we meet even more in this book is the lovely Alex. I'll be honest, those first few pages shattered me🥹 I'm so excited but equally terrified for his book. He's been through so much. "Alex paused, his grin faltering for just a breath. It was not that he despised marriage; he simply could not abide the idea of branding a wife and children with the same scar he bore. Bastard. The word clung to him like a shadow, no matter how noble his deeds. Being the illegitimate son of a king was no badge of honor in his eyes. It was a weight he would not willingly pass on." 🥹 I can't wait for him to find love and realise that he is so cherished✨️
Now I leave the best for last (gasps!! Madds, didn't you say you loved Allannah the most?!?!)
I do...almost🤭 Our little angel, Bjorn, although maybe Edward wouldn't regard him as angelic (he totally does), is the star of the novel!! Bjorn, Allannah's little wolfhound, stole my heart! His dedicated missions, hunting, and giving Edward mini heart attacks were the cutest thing ever! I've always been a cat person, but I think I'm forever changed🤭 Madds also has a gorgeous horse!! Her family of pets makes this entire story so much more magical. A true princess indeed. A fairytale of its own!
If you're looking for a story in the lush woods of Ireland, or to waltz in the glimmering balls of the Royals, maybe some banter between lovers, a wolfhound to love, or a doting family that you'd want to remain with forever, then Gypsy Love is the novel for you.
Thank you, Simi, for the fabulous nickname, for my Edward's book, and for writing such a beautiful tale of love and trust❤️ I am utterly obsessed with Gypsy Love and am actively finding a way to frame the entire book🤣

You are a phenomenal writer, and the world is waiting for more from you! Never put down your pen - you deserve to be called an author. THE BANTER. THE ABSOLUTE CHAOS. THE WAY I HAVE NOT STOPPED SMILING SINCE ALLANNAH ARRIVED.
Edward is stubborn, formal, and so ridiculously buttoned-up he probably has a list for making lists. Allannah? Freedom, chaos, and a walking disaster for Edward’s carefully organised existence.
Simi dived straight into the banter with this one, and honestly? WHO NEEDS ANGST WHEN YOU HAVE THIS MUCH ENTERTAINMENT?!
“Poor Edward, the most buttoned up man in all of Ireland, looked like he might faint right there in his chair.”
I'M SORRY. 💀😂😂😂
And then we get Edward looking at the entire situation with “the hollow expression of a man silently negotiating with God. And losing spectacularly.”
Simi. HOW IS THIS ONLY CHAPTER SIX?! I AM ALREADY DECEASED.
The chair. THE CHAIR SPOKE TO HER. 😂😂😂 I was gasping, laughing, and desperately trying to decide which line to save as my favourite quote. At this point, I might as well copy and paste the entire book into my Goodreads review.
I also LOVE how this book shakes things up. We've had ladies behaving themselves, minding their manners, and being all proper. Then Allannah arrives like a whirlwind and being her honest self.
Watching this man try to maintain his composure while Allannah and Alex collectively torture him is already one of my favourite things. Alex deserves a special mention because his commitment to making Edward suffer is absolutely magnificent. The banter between them? GOLD.
Simi, I am OBSESSED. The humour, the interactions, the chaos, the characters... everything is hitting exactly right. I was smiling like an idiot every time these people opened their mouths.
**Gypsy Love might just steal the crown for my favourite Hexaverse book.** 👑❤️

I wanted to start this review by mentioning that this story is outside the usual scope of the series, but then I remembered that all the The Hexagons surprised me in some way or the other.
Gypsy Love however, hit slightly differently- we experience a slow burn romance with a flipped trope that I found truly refreshing.
We get experienced the familiarity of beloved characters, and while all thr FMC's in this series are feisty, I think Edward met his match. No spoilers on she brings him to his knees, but I was intrigued by her methods!
I have to mention Bjorn, the lovable and enormous Irish wolfhounf who stole the show, and my heart, with his attempts in bringing our couple together. And Ramdutt gave him his very own HEA which wrapped up the entire story in a way that will stick with me forever!
