Picked it up for the friends to lovers vibes and left confused. I really think this book needed more development and honestly, more pages to fully execute the story it was trying to tell. I wanted better communication of feelings between the MCs and an ending that didn’t feel so abrupt. And what happened to Micah and that whole “may the best man win” threat? You can’t drop a line like that and then give me absolutely nothing behind it. That little bit of conflict could’ve given the story the boost it desperately needed. There weren’t a lot of errors, but I caught about three that were noticeable enough to pull me out of the story. Overall, this one just felt rushed and underdeveloped. There were pieces here that could’ve worked, but they never really came together for me. Unfortunately… another miss.

The story was just okay.

She really left us hanging with the so called rivalry with Micah and Blake's decision about continuing football.

Unfortunately this could of really benefited from a proof reader. It was only 40 pages and I counted over 35 typos/errors. Including one sentence that just stopped in the middle.

I Wish The Story Was Longer

Book 9 of the Crum University series.

This novella was released a week after the first 8 novellas which caught me by surprise because I thought I read the entire series.

The low rating is due to grammatical errors. A lot of typos throughout the 46 pages. It were several confusing tidbits as well. At first I thought Clover & Charlotte were just sisters and not twins.

There was little mention of Crum University. I don’t recall a reference to it being a HBCU nor any significant details like the previous novellas.

The storyline had potential but it was rushed. As a reader I didn’t get an opportunity to become invested in the FMC and MMC because the character building was limited. I am hoping maybe an edited version of this novella will be available on KU soon they eliminate some of the issues within the text.

I appreciate a friends-to-lovers: this story has good potential...unfortunately, the unedited components of this story outshone the storyline. It started good and then was clearly rushed.

Okay

Lots of typos. Cute story; I liked the story and the characters but the typos took away from the reading experience.
