This series is getting more powerful with each book and so is Rob, he is killing monsters relentlessly to improve his stats and acquire stronger classes. At first he just wanted to survive, but now he intends to beat the tutorial by battling all the way till he gets to the biggest threat in this phase of the game. He intends killing the underlord of the mountain. Luckily he meets an old man who teaches him how to acquire aether, and in so doing mend his broken core. However Rob soon finds out it is not just monsters he has to battle, but other human competitors. There is a crazy loon on the loose with a machete, and he thrives on killing other competitors, there are a group of rebels who are working to bring down the system, and the gods seem to be taking an interest in the game now too. Can Rob get to the underlord beneath the mountain before the tutorial period is over, and before any of the other players? This book is full of action, great battles, awesome crafting, as well as perseverance and courage which will surely mean something in the end!

I just can't. I really hoped it would start to break out of the Primal Hunter mould, but it seems to have doubled down on it. The whole second book is just fight fight fight. I didn't like the direction his class upgrade went in.

When it was revealed that the Totally-Not-Villy also had a sect that is a shadow of its former self, I noped out hard. Do something different. Don't just copy.

Also, too many of the chapters start with some attempt at elevating the prose by describing "a figure that (does X)" and it's just the MC. Save that for characters that we haven't seen for some time or new ones. Doing that for your MC that we saw a page ago is weird. And then doing that almost every chapter?

Grat book 2

The series keeps getting better; honestly, the twist makes this series much more interesting than typical apocalypse books. I highly recommend this series.

Book 2 starts with fast pacing, wild powers, ancient gods, and enemies around every corner. Let's see if you can be a decent person and still survive the Intergation?

What an amazing book! I absolutely loved this book and such wonderful characters! I can not wait for the next book to come out!
