Wherever You Go: Inspired by the Book of Ruth

Rate this book
Willa Chandler has never had a place that felt like hers. Raised in nine foster homes and out on her own since eighteen, the only family she's ever trusted is a motorcycle club that asked nothing of her but loyalty. She's spent her whole life learning how to leave before she can be left, how to keep her heart locked tight enough that nothing can get close enough to break it again.

Then a bad breakup lands her in an exam room with Ash Hail, an easygoing physician's assistant with a motorcycle helmet on his file cabinet and absolutely no idea how to take no for an answer. He orders his coffee wrong on purpose just to make her laugh. He shows up at her club's group ride when she tells him not to. And slowly, infuriatingly, he becomes the first thing in her life she doesn't want to run from.

As Willa lets her guard down, she finds something she never expected waiting for her, not just in Ash, but in his family. His mother folds her in like she's always belonged. His father, dying but never dimmed, tells her she's exactly what his son needed. For the first time in her life, Willa isn't just surviving somewhere. She's home.

But home has never come without a cost, and the past she thought she'd outrun is still circling closer than she knows.

Wherever You Go is a story about the family we're given and the family we choose, about a love that grows slow and steady instead of loud and fast, and about how far a person will ride to protect the people who finally taught them how to stay. Inspired by the biblical Book of Ruth, this is a small-town romance that will make you laugh, ache, and believe, right up until the last page steals your breath.

Some homes you're born into. This one, she rode straight into the middle of. And some promises, once made, are worth everything it costs to keep them.

A Beautiful Story of Faith, Love, and Family

What a beautiful book! There was something so pure and refreshing about this story, and I truly enjoyed it. One of my favorite parts was how she was drawn to him after witnessing his family praying together. I thought that was such a beautiful reminder of how our faith can touch someone’s heart without us even realizing it.

Having already known the biblical story of Ruth, I knew there would be heartbreak along the way, but that didn’t make those moments any less emotional. I loved how this book brought the story to life in a different way while still capturing the beauty of faith, love, and family. Such a meaningful read, and I’m so glad I picked it up. Definitely five stars from me!

First time reading, wont be the last.

This is my first Christian based book and I was not disappointed! I cried, I laughed, I felt light hearted, sad, angry, pretty much all of the emotions. Absolutely cannot wait to continue reading this author.
