Tara is a post-graduate student in theoretical mathematics, with a unique talent. Her eidetic memory, combined with her ability to make complex calculations...in her head and on the fly...is killing it on the casino tables playing blackjack. All she wants is to win enough to pay off her student debts, so she can continue with her PhD.

Marc is a casino security expert with a checkered past. Once an up-and-coming poker champion on the tournaments circuit, he's been disgraced through no fault of his own. But if he can mentor another phenomenon and prove he wasn't cheating, he'll be welcomed back where he once was banned.

When Marc spots Tara winning just a little too much, he's sure she's counting cards, but her method is undetectable. When they join forces to get what they both want, unintended consequences ensue as sparks fly and they discover what they want most of all is...each other.

Could she be the player he needs to win his way back to the game he loves? Could his family secret threaten what they have, both in the card room and the bedroom?

Coming soon in one seamless read, Full Tilt Billionaire rates an enthusiastic thumbs-up from previous readers of the serialized story. Available exclusively on Amazon for purchase, or borrow through Kindle Unlimited.

Like you, I'm a reader. When I read a good story that has characters I can connect with, my everyday existence fades into the background as I enter a world that may contain exotic locations, adventure and excitement. And, if I can be totally honest with you, in my favorite stories I can fall in love for a while with an impossibly gorgeous guy who is the best lover imaginable.
So, maybe it won't come as a surprise that in my books you'll find hot alpha male book-boyfriends, sassy heroines who are much more clever and beautiful than I am, and stories I hope will make you laugh and cry while reading them, as I did while writing them. Oh, and some scenes you may want to role-play with your lover.

Meh. Speed read most of it. They were boring. I never really saw the chemistry between them until the last chapter. And then there's a HFN. Plus the bonus chapter for the next book...why did I read that? It's just irritating.

One more problem..has the author ever watched a Texas Hold 'em tournament? They don't discard the played cards. All the cards get reshuffled for the next hand, so her "counting" cards won't work.

This review is from: Full Tilt Billionaire: 5-Book Collection (Kindle Edition)

Book 1: Excellent writing, great story and smart and sexy characters. This new young author has a way with words and captures the atmosphere in casinos and puts the reader right there, sitting next to the characters. This new series with each book that is the perfect length to read over your lunch hour or in the whirlpool before bed.

"My little self-professed nerd had been miraculously remade into an exotic beauty who took even my cynical breath away." Marc's thoughts about Tara.

Tara's thoughts about Marc, "If he'd asked, I would have stripped naked and danced on the table like a poor imitation of my roommate. Maybe it was the wine."

Had to keep reading, could not get these two characters out of my head.
Book 2: Marc is Upping His Ante in this second book in the series Full Tilt Billionaire. For a new Author, the story was perfection, from the characters thoughts and emotions, to the descriptions of the surrounding throughout the story. Tara has earned enough to pay off her school loans and to go back to school to work on her PHD. Marc is wanting to earn his way back into the Poker world using Tara and her skills. This book revolves around how he goes about trying to lure her back to his team.

"Tough nut to crack, but I had to. I would never find another person, male or female, with a gift like hers. With her, a win at next year's World Championship was just about guaranteed. Without her, it could be a long haul, even with a talented player. IT was time to lay my cards on the table."

This book was given by the Author for an honest review.

"One part of me wanted to keep it professional because I was out of my depth if it got physical. I'd had one boyfriend in my life, in high school...Our fumbling encounters were more comedy than romance, looking back."

Great page turning story, loving the dynamics between Marc and Tara especially towards the end of this one.
Book 3: The suspense continues to racket up, as Tara moves up into more difficult tournaments and her relationship with Marc also progresses. Marc was usually the dominant one in relationships but Tara took the reins a few times with this example being one of them:

"I was always the aggressor in sexual encounters, always in control. I had no idea how to be submissive, so this was going to be an adventure for me. I tried to relax, but I admit, it wasn't easy. With her fingertips, she was already spreading the oil sensually along my jaw and up to just behind my earlobes. "Trust me," she whispered." "The headache was already forgotten, but every inch of my skin was tingling, waiting for her touch."

This book Hard Hand was steamier than the first two, it moved along seamlessly and the writing again was superb. I will look for more books by this talented new author.
Book 4: I just love this series, the glamour and excitement of casino gambling, the on again off again relationship between Marc and Tara and the influence of Marc's Italian mob family.

I really felt for Tara in this one, Marc and her friend and roommate Buffy are the only family Tara has. When she was told to vanish, it was heartbreaking for this reader. But being the strong independent woman that Tara is, she set out on her own adventure.

From the story: "Every resentment I'd held onto, every slight I'd noted, every day of pain since our rift fell away, forgotten, as I floated into his arms. He caught me around the waist and leaned in, bowing me over his strong arm as he parted my lips with his tongue and kissed me until I moaned wit the need for more. And then, he led me to the bed and helped me lie down, after stripping me of the nightclothes I'd so carefully chosen to hide myself from him."

Looking forward to the next installment and hoping for more for Marc and Tara.
Book 5: A wonderful conclusion and resolution to a tragic love story. I personally love this new author's writing style.

She is creative and was able to build intrigue and a twist to this story that had this reader smiling and cheering.

Can't wait to read more by Jessa Jacobs!

Tara was great and Buffy was amazing but Marc was AWFUL. I think that was his name. It's been a couple of days since I read the serial, but it was something like that. The premise of the story was great! Nerdy math genius catches the attention of mob family member who bribes her to let him coach her to play in and win the World Poker Championship. .. but he was such a douche I could not like this book even if it been written better. This first book in the series (which was actually a serial) was the best of the bunch, and only went down hill from there. I felt Tara's love and obsession for him, but the exact opposite of him for her. It does not make for a romance book if the guy talks about how the girl is sooo into him and obviously loves him to the extent of going back to him time and time again after he's treated her like garbage and has broken things off with her numerous times and eventually even getting engaged to someone else. He wasn't just a jerk in the angsty sense, which when done well, I actually like reading about, but he was just a classic machismo self centered dick who used her over and over again for his self interest. Not sexy, nor romantic. Major fail, IMO.

Tara knows right from wrong but will her gambling methods become problematic? Marc is hotness personified yet is he going to bring Tara down or set her up with everything she's ever wanted? Can Marc keep his proposition professional? Will Tara ask for more? Tara is a smart, beautiful woman. She's taking the summer to gamble in order to pay off college loans and continue on with her PhD. Marc is keeping secrets from Tara yet he needs to get her right where he wants her; in his bed. Will Tara be crushed by the pressure Marc puts on her to succeed? Can lust and determination go together? Marc and Tara have a plan. Entering poker tournaments and gaining respect from other players has Tara excited about her decision to stay with Marc. However, Marc shares some disturbing news. Will Tara walk away? Has Marc put her in danger? Will Tara win the tournament? Unfortunately, Marc becomes closed off? Will he share his concerns with Tara? Will he surrender to his feelings? Will playing poker tournaments destroy everything or bring them closer than ever? Marc has the Mob on his back and needs Tara under him. What lengths of protection will Marc provide for Tara? Suspense, romance and defeat. All emotions running through me as I read Full Tilt Billionaire. Jessa Jacobs had me cheering Tara on and praying for a HEA.

Upping His Ante:
Tara is learning quickly which is no surprise considering her high I Q. Tara is bypassing Marc’s hopes. But the kiss Tara and Marc had shared had woken something up in Tara. Marc has been tutoring Tara and she now has enough to pay off her student loan debt and go back to school. Marc wants to get back to the World Championship of Poker and use Tara to do it. Hard Hand:

Tara decides to continue on the poker tournament route. When Tara and Marc meet again Marc has to tell Tara that the FBI wants to talk to both of them.
This was a good series I enjoyed it. I learned a lot about poker and gambling, a mob family and many other things. I really enjoyed this even if it came in small novellas. I loved how Marc and Tara grew to care about each other. How Tara’s life was so important to Marc. I hated how Tara hurt when Marc told Tara he was marrying Sonia. The plot was good and the characters were great. I loved the ins and outs of the different stories and I recommend.

This is my first book by Jessa Jacobs and it will not be my last. I like the story about casinos and blackjack and poker and of course there is Marc. It seems he may have judged Tara way too soon and might get more then what he bargained for. Marc gives Tara a business opportunity that is to good to pass up. I can't wait to see what will happen next. Loving these characters already

Book 2

I am really enjoying this series. With Marc teaching Tara how to play poker for an up incoming tournament, can she stay around him after he rejects her? Marc and Tara are great together, him teaching her and maybe she will teach him something. Tara feelings come into play and with her thinking he is rejecting her again, she feels like a fool and makes an excuse to leave town. Will Marc just let her go? Must read to see what happens. I can't wait to read what will happen next

Book 3
I love this series. It just gets better and better. With the chemistry between Marc and Tara getting hotter. But could it get cooled down when Marc is forced to tell Tara about his past and family? Can't wait to see what will happen next

Book 4
Just when you think you know what is going to happen, Jessa throws another twist. . With Marc's family might come after Tara Marc sends her away but she has no plans to ever cone back. But after begging she does go back and she might not have. I fell so bad for Tara, she is falling for Marc and he just drops the biggest bomb on her. I can't wait to read what will happen next

Book 5
I am not ready to say goodbye to Marc & Tara. When Marc told Tara they were finished to keep her safe it broke my heart. Now in the tournament together can Marc and Tara stay away from each other or will the love they feel for each other bring them together? I love this series and can't wait to read what Jessa will come up with next

I don't even know where to start this review. I wasn't a big fan of the couple for a lot of the book, but what I did love was the poker. I'm not a fan of betting, of card games, of any of that stuff, but the way this was written, it made it seem so interesting to someone who would normally be bored to death watching anything to do with it. Major, huge props to the writer for that. That's the reason so many stars as well.
The main wasn't horrible, but they just had some major assholish problems and wimpy comebacks and without explanations. I get why things were done, because we were told, but she forgave him way too many times without having a clue. Honestly, I started to just immensely dislike them both when That was my turning point for those two in where I knew they would never be favorite characters of mine. Then the ending seemed so rushed and abrupt, like it was so convenient. I just couldn't buy it. So, for what started out so really good turned into just a 'meh' book for me.

this is a quick read series of 5 books. This book was well written, with a fab story. The characters were both smart and sexy through out the book. I was glad all the books were together in one set so I could read them with no breaks. The last book in the series gives you a fantastic conclusion to the series. this is the first book by this author that ive read and it definitely wont be the last. I cant wait to read more from this author in the future.

Highly recommended

I really don't know how I feel about this box set. I felt like I needed to read until the end but I don't really think any issues were resolved & I did find myself skipping through some of the book. I didn't really feel the chemistry between the characters as Marc blew very hot & cold.

I don't think I'll bother reading the novella whenever it's available.
