The year is 1933, and New York City is run by corrupt politicians, crooked cops, and suave gangland bosses like the Goblin. But when a fateful spider-bite gives the young rabble-rouser Peter Parker the power to fight back, will even that be enough?

Inspired by the recent animated film, I looked this out. A fun and well-suited transposition of the story to the 30s, with some interesting takes on familiar characters.

What a fantastic start to the Spider-man Noir story, the story begins suspenseful within the very few first panels to keep the reader hooked. This story is based within 1939 and therefore I like that the story understands the setting of that time, there are mob bosses and their crooks, worries about the war, political protests of the government and so much more that the story looks like it is going to explore.

I really like this story so far, cannot wait to read more. :)

Well done

Spiderman in the 1930's would be more cynical, all I can say is thank you, well done. If you like noir it is worth reading.

Excellent read. I love and recommend this and all the Marvel Noir series.

I'm a huge fan of Detective Noir genre. Marvels take on this genre, rewriting the stories to take place in the depression era is brilliant. Excellent reinvention of the stories. Highly recommended.
