Jimbawee had gone walkabout on and off, for nearly eleven years. He was a man of the desert. He knew the ways of his people and the deserts he roamed. He was skilled in self sufficiency living off the land, like his fore fathers had done. This routine had been his life, but from somewhere inside a fire was lit. That fire was to find the man that had fathered him, and given him life. On his return to his people, news of an event rocked his inner soul. Before he would seek this man, he had to find out if Merinda was still interested in him. He had to face life and what it demanded of those with families. Trekking off to the Kimberley in search of his father, Jimbawee faced the reality of life. This story is Jimbawee's story. The story of how any one can adapt and create, once they know their own destiny. His Desert skills come into play when he handles a rogue stallion, and opens the door to a future as opportune as any mans. A story of the Australian Outback, which enchants as much as it asks, many real questions. Jimbawee born of the Pitjantjatjara tribe, one who is at peace with himself and the land and desert he loves. He establishes something unique and it offers him and his family, a new beginning. Jimbawee faces natures perils, but this only builds his desire to succeed. Time eventually rewards those that work and those that believe in a better life in this tough world in which we live..

this book is written at the age 10 reading level. however unless repeated reference to erections and masturbation is appropriate in your culture, it's not for kids. the plot is totally implausible, and it isn't even based on strange truth. it's totally fiction
