Ok.. My opinion is going to be different. A lot of people may disagree with me, but that's OK.
When I first started this series I was really excited. I read all the great reviews and I couldn't wait to get my hands on them.
I read the first book. I thought Peaches was refreshing and funny. It was sexy and just new! The characters were so original and I felt like it was going to be great.
Then I read book 2 (Starlight). I didn't quite enjoy it. I felt like Peaches was all over the place. Jumping around with her feelings and going back and forth between men. There was just too much going on. The only reason I liked the second book was because of Keith and Dalton. I didn't really care for Peaches and her big mouth anymore. I just wanted Dalton to find his HEA.
Now book 3....
That's how I felt.
Was it really necessary to have that weird relationship with Adrian?
Why couldn't they just be friends! What a waste of pages!!!!!!!!!
Why couldn't this book be about Dalton and Peaches.
I really wanted them to have a stronger connection. Find out about their past.
Everything was crammed towards the end of the book.
Then the "Conner" secret just gets dropped into the story.
It was not realistic how Dalton just accepted EVERYTHING. Even Peaches little secret! He just accepted it.
Everything was really forced.
Peaches was being REALLY selfish and bitchy most of the time.
Her panties were getting wet for all the men in her life.
The only reason why I liked this book.

Did I mentioned how much I love Peaches Monroe? I'm pretty sure I have , but I can't help myself, because she has become my favorite heroine of all times, I think I've said that before, but I promise you, Peaches is my #1 girl. I love her even though she's less than perfect and the complete opposite of the usual stereotype of female lead character we are use to reading about and that's what sets her apart in my heart. I loved this entire story, there wasn't a shortage of fun, sensuality and entertainment.
After her adventure in LA Peaches gets back home, to her old job, her routine and friends. But she's having a hard time adjusting, she's not the same girl she used to be back on that faithful day when Dalton walked into her life. She now has a lot more confidence, and she is no longer content with just standing by and watching life go by, she knows what she wants and is going for it, guns blazing so be ready!!! She's still very confused and scared about her feelings for Dalton, so a few days after she gets back, she decides to act on her feelings for Adrian; he is her childhood crush and the man has been flirting with her non-stop since he moved back into town. Just when things are getting interesting with Adrian; Dalton comes back for Peaches and offers her a deal she can't refuse. So now Peaches has to help move her beloved book store to a new location, prepare for a wedding while sort of dating two men at the same time. Leave it to Peaches to make everything exciting and crazy fun!!!
I won't lie, there were parts I was confused about where the plot was going, and it went a tad slow at the beginning of the book but once Dalton made his appearance everything was right in my world. Nonetheless this made me think about dropping half a point on my rating, but after reading the amazing ending and even more amazing epilogue my smile was sooooo big I just couldn't rate it anything less than five voluptuous stars...
Us women are never happy about our physical appearance and yes! We all come to eventually make peace with what we've got but the journey to get there is never easy. This story has the great message of hope and courage that no matter how curvy, thin, blonde or brunette we only get the love and respect from others that we give ourselves. Be happy with your attributes but also love your flaws , because that is what's sets you apart and makes you unique and beautiful, that's what makes you "YOU". Don't be afraid to dream big, and always, always try for the gold, because that's what you deserve, and if you don't want to listen to me, read Stardust, Starlight and Starfire and Peaches will tell ya, for sure, you will listen to her. ;-|*

Peaches is back! After ending her relationship with Dalton and a quick fling with a model, Peaches is ready to be thrown up against a wall by her old high school crush, Adrian. But before things can get too sticky, Dalton’s back with a PR nightmare on his hands.
But he has the perfect solution! The only thing to quite the gossip rags and save his career when his porn debut is revealed is to marry the girl. There’s only one problem. Peaches has a boyfriend. But Peaches also signed a legal document. Peaches is in a pickle. So she does what any sane gal would do, she says yes to the ‘fake’ wedding while still dating her boyfriend.
Without knowing if she can trust Dalton and take him at face value, Peaches is hesitant to believe that he can have real feelings for her. After all he is an actor. Dalton now has to show her with his actions just what he thinks of his gal Peaches. But will it be too little, too late?
Mimi Strong writes quirky romances that are filled with humor and in the most inappropriate situations. I wasn't quite sure what to expect in Starfire after the turn that book two took, but I was pleasantly surprised. Dalton had a lot of explaining to do after what he pulled and I honestly could not tell if he was being honest. I had to trudge through this right along with Peaches wondering if what we saw was the real Dalton or the actor.
I am 100% happy with the way this story turned out, every fear that was left over from book two vanished. Mimi’s books never fail to keep my laughing throughout, along with always creating such vibrant characters that you instantly love. Peaches is perfect BFF material.

I decided to purchase this series because of all the great reviews. I think I am going to stop reading reviews!
When I started the series I said I was going to finish it, I have quit reading in the middle of a series often lately. I decided once I started that I was going to finish. Blah!
This series is all about Peaches Monroe. Overall, Peaches is not a good person. She has made mistakes in the past, and she continues to make mistakes. The problem I have is that she never seems to learn from them. Several times throughout the series she states or thinks "I'm a bad person" or something along those lines, and I was saying "YES YOU ARE!" She is not your average cookie cutter leading lady, and I like that. I like reading about real people. I like characters that are not stick skinny and actually work for a living in a regular job. However, this character seemed to shove it in your face every step of the way and it got old.
Many people put in their reviews that this book series was full of romance and comedy. There were times that I did laugh out loud, but these were few and far between. I could tell there were many places that were supposed to be funny but came of more gross or ridiculous than humorous. As for the romance.... not really. This girl doesn't seem to be able to control her lust, not love, for men. She hooks up with 3 different guys throughout the book series. She even dates more than one at a time, and it was just not ok. I can deal with someone dating more than one person but she just seemed sleazy about it. She questions whether she loves all 3 of her men but doesn't actually come to a decision until the very end of this book (which is the third!! in this series).
To me this wasn't a romance and it wasn't really a comedy. I'm not really sure how I would classify it and I probable shouldn't try. So if you are looking for a good comedy, a good romance, or something in between then keep looking.

To be honest, I had two reasons why I finished this book. 1) I really liked the first one and I hoped that it was going back in the direction of that. 2) My kids and I are playing book bingo and I wanted to mark off a square.
The whole Peaches/Adrian thing was unnecessary. If I thought Keith Raven was hard to get through, then this was worse. It had potential, but it fell flat,
I think I'm just going to stick all the rest under spoiler tags-- just in case.
I don't know. If I had known how the book series was going to end, I probably wouldn't have picked it up in the first place. I like Mimi Strong's writing and I'll definitely check out her other books, but Peaches kind of pissed me off. The definition of a strong woman doesn't just mean being in control of your sexuality and accepting yourself-- it also means demanding respect from others and being strong enough to walk away from situations that aren't good for you.

I think Peaches Monroe is one of my most favourite heroines. She is just so funny, independent and I love her voice. I love how she looks at life and I love how this series was written. I loved that each book mostly focused on a different love interest showcasing that women in the book world have choices. They have the ability to love more than one person and I loved all the men in these books. Each one had their own pros and cons and while I’m not completely sure who Peaches chose in the end is who I think I would have, it was right for her. Such a well written story and I loved every word. Definitely a series I will be re-reading.

I struggled with this one, it did ramp up towards the end but to get there was hard work. I love Peaches, her wit and humour will have me laughing forever, I am glad things turned out the way it did but I wanted Dalton to do more. I just didn't feel it between these two.

So, I finally finished the Peaches Monroe trilogy. I do have to say I liked it but I'm not in love with it. It definitely had its ups and downs and they were pretty even. I liked the first book the best, this book second, and the second book last. This book was marginally better than the second book but not by much. It didn't get better until the end because throughout this book, Peaches annoyed the hell out of me, for the most part. I couldn't understand her thinking sometimes, which doesn't make a lot of sense because we are reading her point of view. Coming from the last book, it seemed like Peaches was upset about Keith. However, all of a sudden Keith was no longer in the picture and it barely seems like he should have even been in the picture in the first place. I really liked Keith but after reading the whole trilogy I don't understand at all his purpose. Then, there was Adrian. After, the first book and their little flirtation, I thought he was just going to being Peaches's good but flirty friend. I really didn't like how the author tried to have a relationship bloom with them. Why couldn't they just stay friends without confusing everyone?? I guess it was so Peaches could finally get closure with her Adrian Storm crush but it was really pointless to me. I felt like the book would have been better spent if they developed Peaches's and Dalton's love...which really, the author didn't do until the end. Their connection was sorely lacking. It just seemed more like they were using each other for each other's goals. Then the story kept hinting to Dalton loving Peaches but never expressed his love, and vise versa with Peaches loving Dalton. Ijust didn't feel the love until the end...even though it did seem a little bit rushed, I definitely feel like the wedding saved this book from another less then average rating from me. I thought it was sweet when they finally expressed their love. The ending did get a few tears of happiness from me. All in all, I liked this book because it did get a few laughs out of me and it did have a nice ending.

After her wild adventures in California Peaches is back in her home town of Beaverdale, WA. Just as soon as she picks back up her old life and starts dating an old high school friend; Dalton swings back into her life with a “SuRpRiSe…you messed up, blabbed my secrets, now let’s get married!”
Soon Peaches finds herself balancing a weekly fling with Adrian and weekends with Dalton. I’m not gonna lie, I was rooting for Adrian. It was almost like they had this easy going connection that I didn't want to stop. The flirting, the banter back and forth had me right in line for Adrian to come in and swoop up a handful Peaches.
Then slowly Dalton move in...again. I honestly could not tell if he was acting or if it was real. When Dalton finally – finally - finally showed his feelings for Peaches I was clapping and a wee bit teary eyed.
But wait if you think that’s it? We haven’t even started talking about how smoking sex with Dalton is HOT. The one thing I can’t decide is if having sex in a canoe is as comfortable as it sounded. I get the logistics but wouldn't the seat or bars get in the way? I will be pondering that sexual encounter for a while because lord knows I am a chubby monkey that would fall over board while trying to look sexy.
Mimi Strong has written another outstanding story. It was an easy read that held your attention and kept you up past your bed time. Mimi did an excellent job bring Peaches to life. God, I hope my friends think I am as cool as Peaches!

Barf. Why did i read this? The first two was kind of fun. (the first one was tolerable, and the second one was my favorite in the series, not an amazing book) But this!? Hated the second half of this book. What a steaming pile of over-romantic crap. Why does everyone love this so much?

What makes people gobble this down? I honestly felt like Peaches didnt have any selfrespect, she should have told the D-man to go take a fucking hike, he never treated her with respect. Just constantly started fondling her "Miss kitty" as the book liked to call it. (Adrian actually treats her with respect and compliments, Dalton just makes sexual comments, lie to her and treat her like a vagina on legs)
I had to skim through the last 20% of the book because I just couldnt stand it anymore and wanted to know how it ends.
How this book made me feel:

Yes this book concludes beautifully and yes I am very sad to say farewell to Peaches – but damn what a ride! I totally Love Peaches to bits...and I know Ms Strong has a whole tonne of other Alter Ego’s dying to have their story told...my kindle await Ms Strong!!!!

Yes this book concludes beautifully and yes I am very sad to say farewell to Peaches – but damn what a ride! I totally Love Peaches to bits...and I know Ms Strong has a whole tonne of other Alter Ego’s dying to have their story told...my kindle await Ms Strong!!!!

I went into this book weary... very freaking weary after Peaches was all over the place in the second book.
While I support ANY woman making the best out of her life and living it up... well...
Honey, you were right. You need sex rehab. Or something. You were a hot fire of mess and while you totally made me LOL, it was against my will. It was either that or smack the hell out of you.

So this is for the whole trilogy... Stardust, Starlight, and Starfire.
I'll be upfront. This series wasn't really for me. I gave the whole thing a shot because it was quick (read all three in an afternoon), the summary had some amusing potential, and the trilogy was on sale as a set.
First off, throughout the entire series I couldn't shake off the sense I was reading re-badged Ian Somerhalder RPF. I'm not saying that's what this is. It likely isn't. I wouldn't know if it truly were anyway since I don't really read RPF or TVD fic or anything related to that series or that dude. But that's what it *felt* like I was reading. RPF plus some major self-insert.
Secondly, I wound up pretty much hating the main character. She was okay funny (sometimes really funny) at first, but then, as the story went on, she wasn't smart, or funny, or sassy. To me, she was immature and frankly kinda bitchy. And she had not just a chip on her shoulder, but a giant freaking boulder. I still don't understand why these guys dug her.
The main males... yeah, they were okay, but again, I wound up not liking any of them, save the stereotypically gay assistant.
The writing... okay at best.
So... eh, not my cuppa.

Finally I have finished. It was a struggle. I'm not sure if it was difficult to read was due to the storyline or if it is because the books I read b4 this one were so captivating.
This book is the 3rd book of the Peaches Monroe series. Peaches is a curvy small town girl. With a great sense of humor and tend to speak b4 thinging. she can. harsh at times but she's easy to love.
Dalton is a famous actor in Hollywood. He plays the sexy lead vampire of a very popular soap oprea.
will Peaches ever trust an actor with her heart or will she fall for her crush, friend, from childhood? Peaches has already caught Dalton using her character lines instead of his own. how does he feel for Peaches or is she better off with Adrian the other man she is dating?
Adrian is Peaches long time childhood friend whom she use to crush on bad. He has now moved back to their small town because his business failed and he's broke from being very successful. A Adrian reveals he too had wanted Peaches since they were kids but was too afraid of rejection.
Who will Peaches choose? The sexy untrustworthy actor or the broke childhood crush?

Peaches is at it again. With Dalton invading her hometown, Peaches tries to distract herself from his yumminess by seeing where things go with the dreamy Adrian. You know what, though? Dalton's in Peaches blood and she just has to find the strength to commit to him whole-heartedly.
I enjoyed this series. It was sometimes silly, often snarky, and the characters were over the top. BUT I LIKED IT. Peaches made some really boneheaded choices and her fear of commitment was epic, but the lady made me laugh. I can appreciate that.
On the other end, Dalton talked a good game, but he wasn't the best at smoothing over hurt feelings. In fact, he kinda sucked at it. Between the two of them, there were some pretty big misunderstandings and the potential for a lot of heartache.
Again, though, I enjoyed myself. Peaches didn't always know what she wanted and she went along with some things that made me cringe a bit, but she eventually figured things out. And she finally came clean about all the stuff she has bottled up inside. *thumbs up to that*

Finally I reached the end of the Peaches Monroe trilogy and my God was it hard going. The first book was enjoyable and I liked Peaches and her sassy attitude and smart mouth. By the second book I'd really gone off her and wasn't liking her at all, she came across as a cheap mouthy slut so by the third book I actually hated her. How the hell she managed to attract and keep a man like Dalton I'll never know. As for Dalton, I just can't believe that a famous and hunky guy like him would have tolerated her behaviour and just accept it all. This series has really turned out to be a massive disappointment and I hate that feeling after investing so much time with these characters. Only 1* for this 3rd book and that is generous! !

I liked the entire series. Peaches and Dalton matured independently and as a couple. I'm glad they got their HEA. I enjoyed the series - it was funny with some uncomfortable edges but that is what made it good for me. I don't think this should have been 3 books - 2 would have been sufficient. I think the Keith and Adrian thing went a little too long and took away from Dalton and Peaches. But, I think the 2 relationships helped Peaches with her insecurity issues. Anyway - 3.5 - 4 stars individually and overall.

3.5 for me. Enjoyed this series it was light & funny. Really liked the characters. The 3rd book has a HEA, so good ending to this series.

The third and final story in the Peaches Monroe trilogy brings everything to its conclusion. Peaches is still hilarious, living life by the seat of her pants and following wherever her heart leads. Still unsure of Dalton and his true feelings for her, she dithers her way around before finally figuring out how she feels and laying her heart on the line. Will she get her happy ever after?
The supporting cast of characters are equally funny, from Big Dick to my favourite, Mitchell. We all need a Mitchell in our life.
A superb series of books that I am sorry to see the end of.

Starfire...
Peaches Monroe book 3. A brilliant ending to a beautifully written story. Undeniably awesome characters. So dramatic and passionate. Filled with angst and levels of WTF. No spoilers from me but "Lady Mae Sparkles" part had me rolling on the floor. Dialogue between the characters and in Peaches head is my everything. I read the previous two books a long time ago and loved it, this third part does not disappoint. There is no characters out like Peaches right now. Love love loved it.

Much better
This author took the long way around but this final book ending on a good note. I liked it. Peaches ran her life much differently than I would but it was an interesting story. Most definitely unrealistic but that’s what these types of books are for.

The series over all was okay. I find Peaches immature and just annoying. I loved Dalton and Shayla the most out of these books.

A happy ending
I just love Peaches Monroe. Her sass and attitude keep the book moving. I have to admit this book was about to drive me crazy. I couldn't figure out who she was going to pick. And I could hardly wait for Daulton to freaking admit his love for her. A wedding takes place and it feels so surreal out not out of love, but it ends up being a happy, loving ending.

I’ll be the first to admit that the cover of a book makes a difference if I decide to read the synopsis of a book. I know that’s shallow of me, but come on! I know you do it, too. Anyway, the cover of Starfire caught my eye when I saw it in my news feed on Facebook. It’s gorgeous! It’s a has a little of everything–sweet, naughty, and romantic. When I got the blog tour invite to read Starfire, I was excited to read the first two books in Mimi Strong’s Peaches Monroe series as well.
In Starfire, Petra “Peaches” Monroe comes back home to Beaverdale, Washington after spending time in L.A. modeling. You learn in the first book Stardust, Peaches isn’t your average gal. She has no filter from her brain to her mouth, she doesn’t think before she acts, and she lives her life without apology. She has a hilarious sense of snarky humor and it shows when she frequently disparages her voluptuous body to anyone who attempts to compliment her. But despite this, she doesn’t let her “plus-size” status stop her from becoming a lingerie model or capturing the hearts of multiple hot as sin men. Basically, Peaches Monroe is living large! *gong* Yes, I know. I shouldn’t quit my day job.
The men in Peaches’ life are completely swoon-worthy. You have the gorgeous star of the hottest vampire TV show Dalton Deangelo and the high-school crush/best friend Adrian who suddenly isn’t the skinny bean pole he use to be. Peaches’ handling of her love life is the most frustrating aspect of this book. For a person who is as loose lipped as she is, she cannot express her true feelings to the men in her life. But to her credit, neither can they. They dance around the subject causing me to bite my nails until my $30 manicure is torn to shreds. The “dancing around” aspect is in the form of hot sex, hilarious dialogue, and straight out running from each other. As I read these scenes, I literally wanted to cage these characters together and force them to deal with their feelings.
The sex scenes in Starfire is crazy hot! When these crazy characters aren’t driving you nuts with their outrageous shenanigans, they’re screwing each other’s brains out in the hottest ways possible. The chemistry between Dalton and Peaches is palpable. Even if they are angry with each other, they can’t keep their off one another. From bathtubs and canoes, these two manage to make the most outrageous places to have sex even hotter. Peaches and Dalton don’t have limitations and we see their every delicious sexual whim satisfied.
I really enjoyed Starfire. It’s very well written and hilariously funny. I really respect writers who can infuse romance and humor. Mimi Strong does a great job with both. The storyline flowed pretty smoothly, keeping the reader interested throughout the book. Both Peaches and Dalton’s characters had great skeletons in the closet. However, I think when some their secrets were revealed, it was a bit anti-climatic. I wanted Mimi to address these huge issues a bit more. I also think the humor was a bit distracting in parts of the more emotional scenes. I think if the snark was pulled back a bit during those scenes, they would have made a bigger impact on the reader. That said, Starfire is a great read and I give it a 3.5 out of 5 stars!
