Rate this book
In the first book of her dazzling new series, bestselling author Ella Quinn introduces the soon-to-be Earl and Countess of Worthington—lovers who have more in common than they yet know. The future promises to be far from boring…

Lady Grace Carpenter is ready to seize the day—or rather, the night—with the most compelling man she's ever known. But if she can have one anonymous tryst with Mattheus, Earl of Worthington, Grace will be content to live out the rest of her life as a spinster.

Matt had almost given up hope of finding a wife who could engage his mind as well as his body. And now this sensual, intelligent woman is offering herself to him. What could be more perfect? Except that after one wanton night, the mysterious Grace refuses to have anything to do with him. Amid the distractions of the Season he must convince her, one delicious encounter at a time, that no obstacle—or family—is too much for a man who's discovered his heart's desire...

I can't remember the last time I struggled this much to finish a book. This was one of the worst romance books I have read in a long time. Basically, there is no romance. The hero and heroine literally fall in love in one night. And it's the mooney-eyed, can't live without you kind of love. There is no character development. There is no emotional connection. There isn't even a real threat to their HEA. It's sappy. It's silly. It's too long. And I honestly can't think of one redeeming thing to say about it.

The premise is that Grace is raising her seven brothers and sisters now that her parents are dead. She feels like she can never marry because no man will ever want that burden, and she wants to keep her family together above all other things. But when she gets trapped at an inn with Matt, the man she had a crush on in her first season, she decides to throw caution to the wind and spend the night with him. Only she withholds her name and runs away the next morning.

By this point, Matt had already decided this mystery woman was the love of his life and the woman he would marry. (Yes, really.) Thankfully, he is such a masterful artist that he can draw her face from memory and show it around town, trying to find out her identity. She spends the first 100 pages or so hiding from him. I should have just quit there.

It doesn't get better. Once these two reunite, they literally can't keep their hands off each other. Despite all their good intentions, they have sex constantly. They're surrounded by children (10!) yet they find the time and the privacy to do it all over the place. It's a bizarre cross between a sex-a-thon and a rehash of Cheaper By the Dozen. Between all of the kids Grace is raising, along with the four sisters Matt is raising, it's ridiculous. And let's not forget the big old dogs for a little extra aw'shucks value.

So you spend the whole book watching Grace worry about losing the children and you think there must be a threat, right? Pretty much no. It's her worrying. And hiding. And then having lots of sex. And then buying a bunch of stuff for the new house, because apparently these two are bottomless pits of money.

Plus a totally predictable extra-syrup on top of the already sugary ending. There is nothing I can think of that I liked. I ended up skimming in the last quarter because my eyes were glazing over. But I made it to the end... so you don't have to.

I'm not sure what to think about this book.

No, wait I totally know what to think about this.
It started really good and I was really excited. Whenever I start with reading some historical romance I hope that this one will be like book from Julie Garwood. Maybe that is not fer for others authors, but Julie Garwood is my favourite writer from this genre.
I want historical romance that will make me laugh, get emotional and in love with characters. But most important is first one. Because if book made me laugh that means it wasn't boring at all. Whenever I re-read my favourite books from Julie Garwood, I still laugh. When you know that sometimes I can re-read her books 3 times a year, that means it's impressive book.

This one wasn't that, after all.

I need to mention that while reading this book I caught cold, so that could affect to my opinion.

''Three weeks to wed'' started great.
''Finally,'' I thought ''we have some strong female character.''
I thought that Grace knows what she wants from her life. I thought this is someone I would be proud of.
Oh, how wrong I was.

Like I said, it started great. Grace was strong woman who knows what she wants. She just wanted sex for one night and than she can continue with her life like guardian of her seven sisters and brothers.

And then situacion changes. Grace start to overthink everything.
She is happy because of one grate night with Matt.
She is not happy with night with Matt
It was mistake.
Beautiful mistake.
She was happy.
She wasn't happy.
For the God name girl, decide already.

But, you see we have another side. Matt side. He wasn't bad. A lot. But he did have that ''insta-love'' with Grace. I'm not fan of ''insta-love'' book, if it isn't paranormal. I don't mind ''insta-lust'', thought.
This book have both of them.

And, I need to mention this stupid thing that I'm probably going to remember for a long time.
Grace fainted from gossip. I shit you not.
It wasn't even bad gossip. It was what they expected. But she still fainted.
And then again.

I laughed on that part, because if it wasn't funny than it would be sad.

Now, if you are asking yourself why the hell did I give this book 2.5 stars rating if it was so much bad. There are two reason.
First one, I loved Mary. She have just 5 years..hmm.. Excuse me,she is going to have 6 on summer. She was so cute and so funny and honest and why can't everyone be Mary??

Second one is writing style. However bad this story was for me, author knows how to do her job. It was easy and so nice, and that would probably be reason why would I read book number two.

This is book one in The Worthingtons series. Ella Quinn is one of my favorite authors for Historical Romances... if you see her name you know you are getting a great book! Ms. Quinn's book are funny, emotional, loving, a great story... all around great books. This book was no different..I really enjoyed the chance to read it.
Lady Grace Carpenter lost her parents a few years ago but not before she promised her mother that she would keep her and her siblings together. In doing so she had to go through a fight with her other relatives that felt they each should take some of the children..which would mean they would be separated. So Grace fault for her right to be their guardian. Now years later she 25 years old and the guardian of 7 children so she in now with the mind set that she will never marry. On a trip back from seeing a family member it starts to storm really bad.. so she and her servants (all male as she didn't bring a maid with her) stop to stay at an INN until the next morning. There she sees Mattheus, Earl of Worthington whom she met in her first coming out before her parents died. Grace fell in love with him back then and never thought to see him again after taking on her brothers and sisters. Grace gets the ideal that this would be her one chance to be with him for the night...a night she never thought to have.
Matt fell in love with her the first time he saw her at the INN (he didn't remember meeting her before then). They had dinner together and then they had their night...the whole time Matt had planned to propose marriage. The next morning brought Grace slipping out to go home with knowledge she wouldn't see him again. Matt woke up with Grace gone and without knowing her name. Matt went into finding mode because he knew she was for him and he would not love another. This starts their great story!

This was a very romantic book, and Matt is a wonderful hero. I think I would have liked more conflict to round it out. I love the idea of a heroine with a big family (of siblings) ending up with a hero with a big family as well. That was fun. Kind of reminded me of "The Brady Bunch."

Overall rating: 3.5/5.0 stars.

I got this book from Netgallery in exchange for an honest review.

If only my past self knows what my future self knows about this book. I can never get the time i lost from reading this book back.

When i say this book started well, i literally mean the first 4 pages, and in those 4 pages includes the acknowledgements, after that it went to the dust.

I have no idea what it is about to be honest. Grace is the guardian for her brothers and sisters and she has to remain unmarried so that she doesn't lose guardianship? I didn't quite understand that , because i would have thought it would be the other way round. Never mind that she stays at an inn and met Worthington, a Lord that she danced with once who was also stranded. She decides to have one night of passion before she continues with being a spinster, after which she sneaks out the next day while he still slept.

He wakes up, realizes she is gone and starts searching for her because apparently she is the love of his life, just because they talked for hours and had sex. If there's anything i hate it's instant love and i have seen better instant love stories. I could not for the life of me understand why he wanted her so much that he had to search high and love, i also could not understand why she had to hide because she's in love with him but doesn't want to marry him , i mean why don't just meet him and say so.

Her friend, Phoebe , informs Grace about Worthington's search and tells her that you can't have sex without being in love, if that isn't the most ridiculous thing i've ever seen then i don't know what is. At this point i'm wondering why i'm even bothering to read this book considering i was on page 57 at this point. I figured, since i can't write books why don't i just try, it might get better. So i soldiered on.

What is this book? It's so ridiculous. I'm hating almost every second of it. The heroine always cries now, like seriously, she's always crying. Ugh, i hate it.

I tried skimming through the pages but it didn't get any better so.......I give up at page127, i cant't take another 100 pages of this drivel. No Sirrah

Three Weeks to Wed could be described in a couple of words: a historical one-night stand turns into marriage.
What's in between are two likeable main characters (who fall in love faster than in any fairy tale I've read so far), more than seven kids (one of them an adorable five year old), two great Danes, a stepmother (of a good kind), one horrible uncle and some criminals.

3.5 stars! It's a charming novel but I understand why a lot of people might not like it cause they literally fall in love within HOURS of meeting each other and all they do is bang. But I thought the book was charming because the family is huge and he's trying to convince her always that he doesn't care about her big family. I also like how both characters realized they fell for each other very fast but he reassures her that his feelings run true and deep. The thing I didn't like was that the main couple became the second couple as the plot got carried away with villains and another couple set to be married.

**I received an ARC of the book through NetGalley in return for my honest review.**

I thoroughly enjoyed this book and almost read it straight through. I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 because throughout the book you were lead to believe that the big, bad uncle was going to appear and cause much trouble -- but -- if you blinked you missed it. He popped up and was gone within the blink of an eye. I didn't want bad things to happen, but I thought he might be more trouble than he was.

This was the first book in a new series and I'm already looking forward to Dom's story in the next book.

The characters are fully developed and you don't wonder about who they are or why they are as they are. All of the characters -- except for the bad uncle -- are wonderful, sweet, uplifting, caring -- and funny.

All of the antics of the dogs and the children (all 11 of them) are just delightful. You also get TWO -- yes -- TWO weddings in this book. You can't get better than a book with two happily ever afters in it.

I hope you give this book a try and enjoy it.

The book started very strong and I was very much into the story. It slowed a bit in the middle where the conflict became weak and the heroine's personality came across as a bit silly, but in all I enjoyed the book. I feel that part of Grace's 'weakness' (she faints) could have been better used in the story. I love how the hero, Matt, was written. I also enjoyed the big family and how the two houses eventually came together to assure the HEA.

When Lady Grace Carpenter's parents died she fought hard to gain custody of her seven younger siblings until one of her brothers was old enough to take control of their family estate. No other family members were willing to take all of the children on so it was the only way to keep them all together and Grace felt it was her duty to protect them all. She knew that she was giving up the chance of having a family of her own as it would be very unlikely she'd be able to find a man willing to take on her and seven children. When she is caught in a storm and forced to spend a night in an inn with her teenage crush she decides that even if she can never marry she can at least have one night of passion to remember for the rest of her life.

Mattheus, Earl of Worthington, has decided it is time to settle down. His friends have all started to marry and seeing them start families of their own has made him consider his own future. After one unforgettable night with Grace he decides he's found the perfect woman for him but unfortunately Grace did a disappearing act before he even woke up. Now the search is on and he's not going to give up his quest easily, no matter how stubborn Grace is or how much extra responsibility her siblings will be.

Three Weeks to Wed was my first book by Ella Quinn but it was such a fun read that it definitely won't be my last. I don't tend to read a lot of historical romance but sometimes I'm just in the mood for something warm and light hearted and this series hits that spot perfectly. I thought Grace was a great character, she has worked so hard to protect her siblings and she put her own life on hold to do it without ever begrudging them for it. She loves them all dearly and wants to honour her parents too. I loved the relationship between all the brothers and sisters and that they loved her as much as she loved them, they want the best for her too and when they realise Matt is courting her they decide to do whatever it takes to bring the couple together.

Matt already has four younger siblings of his own that he's responsible for so he's quite shocked when he realises marrying Grace would bring the brood up to eleven. I liked that he took time to think about the affect that would have on all of their lives before continuing to pursue Grace, but equally that it didn't take him too long to decide that she was worth it. Matt and Grace made a really cute couple and they had an intense connection that they both struggled to resist but they also had a lot of shared values and family was important to them. It was fun seeing Matt learn to deal with all of the children but I also really liked seeing the siblings from both families decide to help Matt and Grace blend their two families together.

This was a sweet romance with lots of humour and just a tiny amount of suspense. I liked the fact that it was relatively drama free and that there were no big misunderstandings or stupid arguments. I'm definitely looking forward to reading the next book in the series.

I wanted to like this one. I thought the premise was amusing, the idea that Grace was her own woman who went after what she wanted. Until I started reading. Then, the issues with the book started.
1. She was not liberated, she decided to have one night with Worthington, Matt, and then she hid from him. Literally. Took until roughly 30% into the book before she stopped with the hiding. And it was inane, unbelievable and annoying. I almost gave up on this, more than once, up to this point.
2. The insta-love connection was not a little believable. There was no passion in their first encounter and honestly I didn't buy that the sex was that great either as it is written without much passion at all. Sex does not need to be graphic to be good, but it needs to have passion. And, when they meet again, he still professes that he wants to marry her. Why? I was never convinced either of them felt more for the other than one does for a beloved pet.
3. She has supposedly been in love with him forever, since their ONE DANCE years ago. Ack.
4. I didn't buy that either of them felt as strongly for one another as they claim, possibly because the author spent a lot of time telling and not a lot of time showing
5. I understand that the point was that with Grace and with Matt, both of them were dedicated enough to their families to be able to understand while the other would not want to leave, but still. I felt like I was reading "The Brady Bunch-1815" and know some of the children better than either main character. At 33%, he is declaring that he likes all of her brothers and sisters and wants to care for all of them. I didn't buy that either.

The book was well=written, and the dialog was believable. The author told the story she intended, I just was not at all fond of the story she chose to tell.

Full review at Smart Bitches, Trashy Books

This is one of those frustrating books where there’s a good idea but it gets bogged down in a total and utter lack of tension or conflict. As a result, it’s an eye-rolling read.

There’s a random-ass kidnapping FOR LITERALLY NO REASON. But don’t worry, it’s resolved within three pages.

I feel like the “how do we take yours, mine, and ours and make a functional family out of the whole mess” could have been a really interesting book. But when that gets resolved so quickly (seriously, the kids all sit down and go “Welp, looks like our elder sibs are getting hitched, so how will we manage disagreements among ourselves?” and THAT’S THAT), there’s just no THERE there.

And that’s too bad, really.

DNF.. God knows how much I tried to finish it because I hate not finishing a book I started. The first few chapters are kinda promising but it just became so dragging. Normally I would still try skimming thru till the end but this time, I don't really care what happens anymore. After a month of not having the desire to return to the book, you know that feeling that you've been meaning to but keep on finding excuses not to. It's always at the back of my mind, on my to do list like a clutter I refuse to pick up and put on the shelf or the trash can. I decided to not finish it and what a relief it was.

This is not a book for me. I’ve been rolling my eyes every other page or so since I started and I made it 32% in. Love at first sight in 19th century England + sex without ever revealing her name to him (and she was of course a virgin) + quick and lackluster proposal + immediate poorly considered decision to agree to take on seven wards = a hot mess. I tried to give it the benefit of the doubt, but I just can’t keep reading this. This seems like the kind of shallow and unbelievable romance I might have enjoyed in high school, but I just can’t read any more of this now.

I really enjoyed this story! It was such a fun, sexy book. Grace and Matt are both likable leads and their families are adorable.

The story opens with Grace being side tracked by a storm to an inn near her home. When Matt (the Earl of Worthington) is also stranded at the inn, she can't believe it - she fell hard for him her first season and she has never forgotten him. Her parents died shortly after and she never expected to see him again. She believes she will never marry because she is guardian to her 7 younger siblings. She decides to seduce Matt and hope that the memories will be enough to last a lifetime.

Matt does not remember Grace, but he falls in love with her that night - she is everything he ever wanted in a wife and more. They share a kiss and he plans to propose to her the next morning. Much to his surprise and delight - she takes matters in her own hands and comes to his room. They share an incredible night of passion and she slips away the next morning.

Matt is frantic to find his mystery love but she has disappeared without a trace. He hopes to find her in London and plans to enlist his friends and their wives to help him (Phoebe/Marcus & Anna/Rutherford - from the previous series - you don't have to have read these books to enjoy this story).

Turns out Grace is dear friends with Phoebe, who informs her that Matt is looking for her and wants to marry her. Grace doesn't believe that he will want her when he finds out about her siblings and tries to avoid him.

When he finally finds her, he is overjoyed and can't wait to propose - he follows her to a vacant parlor with every intention of proposing, but one thing leads to another and they end up making love. He tells her he will call on her the next day, as it turns out, he actually lives right across the street from her families London house. Grace still doesn't believe that he will accept the responsibility of all her siblings and even if he did, she is convinced that he will send them all away. Matt is no stranger to responsibility - his step-mother (who is only 5 years older than him) and his four younger sisters all live with him. When Grace tells him about her family, he is at first taken aback - but quickly decides that she is worth any price and convinces her that it will all work out.

What follows is an amusing tale of two lovers learning to make this blended family work. There is a "sorta" misunderstanding, a slimy villain, an abduction attempt, many very steamy love scenes, a couple of dogs and lots of compromising.

I highly recommend this book and am looking forward to the rest of the series!

ARC REVIEW

First impressions on this book, it's a Regency version of Yours, Mine and Ours.(1968 Lucy Ball and Henry Fonda; I love older movies and as much as I love Dennis Quaid I don't count the 2005 remake) If you like cute 'n silly books with a heavy dose of insta-love, this is a good book. I liked it well enough and the family dynamic is great the family members are the comic relief of the story let us not forget the two great danes. The biggest difference between Three Weeks to Wed and Yours, Mine and Ours aside from the fact that one is regency and the other is in the nineteen sixties, is that in the movie is two widowers with 10 and 8 kids the book is the story of the oldest sister,Grace, taking on guardianship of her brothers and sisters all seven of them; and an Earl, Matt, who is taking care of his step mother and his three half sisters. The conflict is mainly internal for Grace for the majority of the book, she has fought hard to maintain guardianship of her siblings and has accepted that she will remain a spinster. She has to come to terms with the fact Matt really does love her and wants to help her with the children. There is some external conflict with one of Grace's relatives and an idiot religious zealot. But those are all solved pretty quickly.

Grace has been in love with Matt the Earl of Worthington since her first season. When Grace meets him again he doesn't recognize her and she seizes the opportunity to have one night of sin with him before she is forever set on the shelf. Stuck at an Inn during a storm Grace and Matt share the private parlor; through tea time and dinner they talk, Grace never revealing who she is. By the end of dinner Matt has decided she would be the perfect wife for him and by morning he was in love. The only problem was that she disappeared before he woke up and he never learned her name. Grace realized the mistake she made as soon as she woke up. She should have never done it because now that she knows what she's missing it worse then it was before. Fate has a funny way of bring together the people that need to be together. Through mutual friends Matt finds Grace again and as soon as it becomes obvious to their family that they love each other but Grace is stubborn the siblings all work together to make sure the transition is a smooth one and that Grace really has nothing to worry about. The bad sheep of Grace's family shows up and misreads the situation and tries to get money by way of blackmail.

Overall this was a cute read. There isn't a lot of conflict just stubbornness and it is a quick and easy read.

a regency romp--with a twist!

I do like Lady Grace Carpenter and Mattheus, Earl of Worthington. The shoe is definitely on the other foot here. It is Lady Grace who seduces the handsome Worthington, Matt to his siblings and friends. Of course, cupid's arrow ever sharp, just makes Mt Vesuvius' eruption look tame in comparison to the instantaneous fire that ignites between these two.
But, for Grace this was a one night of opportunity never to be repeated. For Mattheus it was a waking call to true love.
Grace has guardianship of her siblings, a hard fought battle, that she doesn't wish to give up any rights to. If she marries that guardianship is in danger. A risk she refuses to take.
As Matt pursues his mystery woman and Grace deftly eludes him, the hide and seek that ensues is accompanied by a veritable tribe of siblings of all ages and two Great Danes.
There's some hilarious happenings, especially with the siblings, some threatening situations, heaps of romantic entanglements that happen as Grace and Matt collide, all the while trying to stave of gossip within the ton.
Lots of fun.

This is the story of Lady Grace Carpenter and her tortured love affair with the Earl of Worthington. So, when she first came out, Grace had a crush on the debonair Earl who, unfortunately, like most young men was not interested in women-the marrying kind that is. Now, after so many years when she bumps into him at a secluded, snowed-in inn, she no longer has the luxury of being able to marry. Therefore, she decides to have a one night stand that will 'last her for the rest of her life'. The worthy Earl however has different ideas at this point of time in life. He is sure he has finally met the woman he is meant to marry and starts out in pursuit of her. What follows is the pursuit, the indecision, the reconciling, and other steps in the general happy ending direction.

I must here reiterate that I am a fan of historical fiction and romance. I love the characters, the dry humour that most authors will strive towards, the dyspeptic aunts, the forgetful uncles, the villians, the heroes that are so full of themselves and the heroines who are determined to be bull-headed at the best of times. However, as much as I like strong women characters, I cannot abide stupid ones. So, when Grace decides that the one night stand will satisfy her for the rest of her life and 'cunningly' withholds her real name from the Earl, she believes she is safe from ever bumping into him again. This is just before she is going up to London for her sister's season. Are you serious? If he were just about to sail away on a trip around the world or she had been a recluse on a country estate, one would think she had a point. As it is, I was 'off' her from the very first chapters. I actually felt for the poor Earl, who turns out to be a nice honourable man, bewildered by the woman's determination to disappear behind glass walls.

Also, every time she hears about some rumour or gossip about herself, she faints! I don't know who found that act cute but it certainly wasn't me. And it isn't a one off thing unfortunately, she does it over and over again. She also has monumental doubts regarding her true feelings about Matt and is also given to believing the worst before it even happens. There are umpteen number of love scenes in the book for those inclined towards that side of romance, but I just skipped over them all. But I do that in almost every romance novel so they may actually have been good.

Her brothers and sisters as well the Earl's siblings seem like more fun at this point. They are portrayed just as little kids should be and seem to genuinely care for there hair-brained sister's welfare. The Earl is extremely patient and kind and seems to care for her deeply. A side plot of an evil uncle was funny as were the shenanigans of Matt's friends.

All in all, the book was a big disappointment to me. Some, not so cynical as me and probably a hundred times more rosy eyed, may find it better and I would wish them the best of it. From my point of view, one may skip it without feeling too much of a pinch.

Grace Montgomery put her family in front of everything else regardless of the toll it took on her personally and the fact that she could never marry for fear of losing them. When her parents died young Grace took in her 7 brothers and sisters and raised them after a heated family battle to gain guardianship so nothing will ever interfere with this, especially not a husband who would literally own the decision of family’s fate. However, Grace did long for love and companionship as every other woman does and when the man she had loved since her initial coming out is for one night available, why not venture into the arena of desire where she so long to compete. Unwittingly, Matteus the Earl of Worthington was the object of Grace’s desire and when they are confined to an inn together Grace choose that moment to spend one miraculous night with Matt knowing there was never a morning after or a forever in sight.

The problem that arose is Matt found himself alone the next morning yearning for the woman he had for some unexplainable reason fallen in love with instantly. Matt also knew familial responsibilities as he was helping raise his four sisters along with his step mother who he held in highest esteem. Matt was determined to find Grace without even knowing her name or where she might reside but he had deep pockets and incredible resources to find her and once he did Matt was going to marry her. Fate as it turns out brought them together via their conjoined families as a day at the park becomes a raucous adventure with servants, children, dogs, and adults tangled in a heap. When Matt finds Grace and sees that their lives are so full of family he takes a breath to make sure this is the choice he is prepared to make and without hesitation he offers marriage to Grace. Funny thing is Grace says no and for all the reasons that make no sense to him with the underlying mis-trust that he will somehow take her family away from her.

Matt is a determined man and he has set his sights and love on Grace so he sets out on a plan to show Grace that they can be together and no one will ever remove his family or hers from their existence. There are stolen kisses, warm embraces, and just enough rumors that push this alliance forward especially with the support of all the children who want Grace happy as much as they want to stay together. Grace and her fears are escalated by some bad advice and untimely rumors but Matt is swift is squelching these and reassuring Grace that he is her protector, lover, and forever faithful husband. Even when the one thing Grace fears most knocks on the door Matt is right there to end the question of where her family will remain.

Three Week to Wed (The Worthingtons) by Ella Quinn is truly a masterpiece and a series that you will want to watch out for and add to your library! A definite 5 Stars read!

We start off in a little inn where Lady Grace Carpenter has had to stop due to the impending rain. She’s resting in the inn’s parlour when a gentleman enters. Mattheus (Matt), Earl of Worthington has also been stopped by the rains and at the inn finds a delightful young lady whom he shares dinner with and later the two end up in a rendezvous. Grace gave into her desires as she feels she will never get married and therefore never experience the touch of a man because she’s the guardian of her seven brothers and sisters and therefore has accepted a life of singlehood.

However, upon this night of love and passion, Matt falls madly in love with “His Love” as he calls her and when he returns to London, he can’t get her out of his mind and goes in search of her. Grace comes to London to see her sister Charlotte’s come-out season and she learns the Worthington is also there for the season as his sister is coming out as well. She does all she can to avoid him, however she runs into him at a gathering and here again she falls into his arms and is enraptured by their love-making.

Worthington loves Grace dearly and can’t see his life without her, he goes the next morning to seek her hand. Only to his surprise, he’s met with seven children and Grace confesses to him why she can’t marry him. However, he’s relentless and with the help of the children, eleven now in total counting his four sisters. He expresses his love and pleads for Grace to become his wife. Will Grace open her heart and become Matt’s wife? Will these two combine and create one big beautiful family?

Quinn weaves a beautiful tale of love and deep passion between two remarkable people and her writing style is impeccable. Her characters just draw the reader in and welcome them into their lives and home. The twists and turns they all go through takes the reader on quite the ride. Quinn is truly a lady of words and weaves such a tale that is so vivid, the reader can’t help but feel as if they are right there, feeling, hearing and tasting it all. Three Weeks to Wed is a masterpiece and tells of the deep love and faith of this beautiful family. One can’t help but fall in love with the Worthingtons. I can’t wait for the next book in this series.

I've read a lot of historical romances with ridiculous plots but I think this one takes the cake.

Grace Carpenter is in charge of her six(?) siblings and knows she can't ever marry, since apparently no man would want to take on a giant brood of children. So, one night when she's stranded at an inn and her crush, Lord Worthington, is there, she decides to seize the day and have a glorious one night stand. In the morning, Grace flees and goes back to her normal life without a word. Matt, Lord Worthington, immediately falls in love with Grace for some reason and goes on a wild goose chase looking for her.

Three Weeks to Wed has the most far fetched instalove I've read in a long time. I don't mind instalove as a trope; I know a lot of people hate it but I like it from time to time. However, I could not get behind the romance in this book. It's one thing if the instalove happens after a few days and another if it happens in a couple of HOURS. Matt decided he was in love so quickly and just has to have Grace no matter what. It doesn't matter that he has no idea what Grace wants nor does he care; Matt knows what he wants and will force everyone to side with him. And everyone sides with him, too! Grace was the only one with a level head in this book. She at least is concerned that the two haven't known each other long enough to combine two large families. Everyone else in her life was telling her she was being stubborn and that she was obviously in love. Where were the sensible people?

Aside from how stupid the instalove was, I just didn't like much about this book. The plot was mostly Matt trying to convince Grace to marry him or the merging of the two families. I liked the family, and it's the only reason I want to continue with the series, but I wanted something more that wasn't as boring. There was a blackmailing plotline at the end but it was resolved so quickly that the drama was bland. I'm telling you, the large family trope was the only thing keeping me going. It's one of my favorite tropes though so of course I was bound to love it.

Frankly, if the romance was more developed I think this book would have been more interesting. I didn't buy their romance for a minute and I don't see it lasting. For a romance, that kind of sucks.

Thankfully, I could see myself liking Ella Quinn's romances but this one was just not for me.

Ella Quinn is back with a new series that is bound to be fun! In Three Weeks to Wed we meet the Worthingtons and the slow slide to fall in love begins!

Ok, it's not perfect but it is fun and actually believable. In a world where marriage is really the only career for a woman it has to be hard to accept that you will probably never marry. Ms. Quinn writes a loverly story about a woman who makes that choice and then...

Lady Grace Carpenter would happily find the man of her dreams and have that forever love BUT she has seven count 'em seven siblings she is responsible for. What man would ever want to raise all those kids not his own? She knows she is doomed to spinsterhood but before she goes quietly into the night, Grace has a plan. She's going to experience passion. True passion, just one night, and she has the man all picked out. Mattheus, Earl of Worthington. One night, one anonymous tryst and she's ready to settle into her spinsterhood. Too bad, Matt has other plans.

Mattheus, Earl of Worthington is ready to settle down. That is if he can find a woman with a brain (and of course a body). So far no one has fit the bill but the mysterious Grace seems to be the one. Only she is hiding something (like who she really is) and Matt has to convince her that he can be there for her, forever.

Sensual yep that's the right word for this book. It had this sultry appeal to it. Clandestine yet not cheap. Teasing but not tawdry.. Really well done of Ms. Quinn.

Once again Ella Quinn shows us how it's done!

This is a wonderful romance, two people who are concerned that their familial obligations (a ton of dependent siblings), will prevent them from ever finding love. Grace has fought hard, to be the guardian of her seven younger siblings, so they can all be raised together. She has accepted that this role of caregiver, means she will never marry and will be a spinster. Until she gets stuck in an inn, with the man she has always desired, Mattheus, Earl of Worthington. He never noticed her when she had her season, many years ago, but now he can't live without her. It takes a lot of wooing and persuasion of the psychical variety, to convince Grace to marry him, but they finally get to be with one another. I really enjoyed all the details with the children, very funny moments from them. This is a treat.

Thanks Netgalley for the free review copy, in exchange for an honest review.

More than a love story, this one seemed to me a way to handle kids, most of the times they were the main characters of the story along with the decoration of new room, so it was not bad, but not so wonderful all the same.

Piú che una storia d'amore mi é sembrata una maniera per gestire bambini, che, nella maggior parte delle situazioni erano anche i personaggi principali del racconto. Quindi non un brutto libro, ma neanche questa meraviglia.

THANKS TO NETGALLEY AND KENSINGTON BOOK FOR THE PREVIEW!

I received this from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review. This is the first of a new series about the Worthington's family. This starts really quick and was a really good read. It was a sweet romantic tale and I enjoyed it a great deal. The families in it came together wonderfully and I just loved it. The story was well done and I loved the characters. The one thing that was hard to believe was how quickly Matt fell in love. they met once and bam he is in love. Yeah, hard to believe but other than that it was good.

I loved Grace and Matt. this ins't your typical love story. Grace is in charge of her younger siblings after the demise of both parents. Matt is in charge of his younger sister after his father's death. (Even though his step mother is still alive)

Grace throws caution to the wind one night and then Matt tries to find it. it's a struggle when they do come together again. I love this story because it's big on family and I'll be happy to read the next book.

Plot: 3/5
Characterisation: 2/5
Prose: 2/5
How much I enjoyed it: 1/5
I don't know what to say about this book. From the simple plot to the dull characters, this has got to be one of the most boring book I've ever read. If it wasn't for the fact that I wanted to be able to rate this book fairly, I wouldn't have bothered finishing it.

This book started out strong and had potential, but after the first chapter or so… there was zero plot. The entire premise was about planning a wedding, getting kids to behave and redecorating. Like watching paint dry. Unnecessary scenes, conversations and characters that didn’t add anything to the weak plot.
