Loving this series! There is something just a little different about this authors writing style that took me the first few books to get used to. Now it seems normal, I still can't put my finger on what it was. Great grouping of characters, plots, angst, and steam!
Book 3: this is Rachel, Ace, and Cruz's story. I'm not usually into three-way romance novels but this worked very well.
Book 4: this is Trixs and Finns story. This may be one of my favorites of the series.
Book 5: this is Jared and Lilli's story. This book was a little less hot than the others but I like these characters a lot so it did not distract.
Book 3: this is Rachel, Ace, and Cruz's story. I'm not usually into three-way romance novels but this worked very well.
Book 4: this is Trixs and Finns story. This may be one of my favorites of the series.
Book 5: this is Jared and Lilli's story. This book was a little less hot than the others but I like these characters a lot so it did not distract.

Good Read Overall
First let me say that these books will make more sense if you read them in order. If not, you will be confused as hell. Ok ummm...minor spoiler alert. That being said, the plot and story in each individual book is very good. You kind of know what's going to happen because the obvious hero/shero is going to do just that...save the day. So you know it's going to end with a "yay everyone is happy" type ending which works just fine with me because I freaking love it when the bad guys die and bad shit happens to them and I love it when the good guys don't die. Yes, I'm that cliche happy ending person. Sue me. The only annoyance I would say is the sooo freakin often repeating of the same words. I cannot tell you how many times I read the word dichotomy. Over and over and over and over and goodness gracious. Also, some of the sex scenes were just weird. I'm talking wayyyy past raunchy weird. Like 5+ people involved weird. But it really does help set the scene and tell what kind of setting and vibe they are in inside the story. I love how the women who may seem weak surprise the heck out of you with how weak they AREN'T. I also love how the men are all really protective and dominating while still caring and understanding. I would read these books again and the good definitely outweighed the bad for me. The storylines are so intriguing and interesting that they will keep you up way past your bedtime, which is certainly what happened to me several nights. Looking forward to the last 3!

I found the first novel in my library e-reader application. I wasn’t sure about it because I don’t read many post-apocalyptic novels but I thought I would give it a try. Needless to say, I read as much of the series as I could get my hands on.

The first novel does an amazing job of introducing the world and the O’Kain empire of sector 4. You will love following the couples through their greatest trails against the city of Eden. As a bisexual woman, I found the bisexual element so well done. I would love to get some of the authors’ merch.

Addicted to this series
I am absolutely in love with these books! I can't seem to put them down since I started the first book! I cannot wait to find out what happens next in the story. I love that even though each story is about a couple there is a bigger continuous story building as well. Also that all the characters are in each book in some way even as they introduce new characters I look forward to seeing how those characters will play out in the story!! Kit Rocha definitely has a hit in this series and has made me a huge fan!!

So, so good!!
After reading books 1-3, I couldn't buy this series fast enough, and it didn't disappoint.
I'm loving every single one of the O'Kanes. The men are so strong and protective, and the women are sexy and fierce. Even the ones that seem fragile at first find that inner Warrior Goddess.
I've already purchased the novellas, so I'm going to keep this review short. Enjoy!!!

This entire series was full of things sexually that was shocking to me. Kit Rocha most definitely has an imaginative mind. The series was something that I would never have read. But it was a great storyline about what happened during the apocalypse. How the people survived is amazing the entire thing was heavy!!

Each novel highlights a current or potential member of Dallas's gang. What does it say about the world when a whiskey smuggling gang are the "good" guys. Love the mix of characters and the storyline keep you invested.

I am struggling with this review, because a lot of what I said in my review for the Beyond Series Bundle Volume 1 is true for the three bundles I am attempting to review here. The overarching themes of the series are freedom to determine your own life, freedom to love who you love, bodily autonomy – including consent and reproductive freedom, and over coming the many forms of toxic masculinity. All of this was present in the first bundle of books, and all of it continues to play out through the remaining books and novellas. The series, as a whole and in each piece, can be read for fun and as political act of resistance against the growing move to assert a white supremacist patriarchy. Happily ever afters are given to queers, people of color, sex workers, drug runners, drug addicts, bootleggers and bikers. They are all consenting adults who value found family.
To recap, or set the stage, or something: At some point in the future, A city is built that is designed to be self supporting and an oasis of goodness – Eden. Solar flares destroy the power grid in the United States and it descends into anarchy. Eden is, as I said in the previous review, “a city ruled the way the Christian Right would like – no premarital sex, no extramarital sex, women are wives or daughters, only the cis-gendered and straight are allowed.” Eden also has the super soldiers, the weapons and the technology. Surrounding the city are the Sectors where the factories and the sin live. The Sectors remember that Sector Three was bomb into oblivion when they started to get too pushy. The threat of being flattened by Eden hangs over the Sectors. As the books progress, the growing conflict between Eden and the Sectors becomes a more prominent story. Each book and novella is still a romance, but the looming war shapes the characters, their desires and obstacles.
The stories are intertwined, so though each book or novella focuses on a primary romantic relationship – 2, 3, or 4 people – you cannot skip around. But you can binge read them because they flow beautifully from one book to the next. As the series goes on, the stakes political get higher, and the sex gets a little quieter. It becomes more of an interlude than a focus, which is appropriate for the way the story grows.
Kit Rocha’s Beyond series has been one of my safe places this year. I’ve read all the books more than once and some more than others. I haven’t gone into any specifics because you should discover them for yourself. The characters you resonate with will be your own and not mine. I have my doubts that 2020 will be any better or less stressful than 2019 has been, and as I follow the threads to even more new authors, I will be coming back to Kit Rocha. For one thing they have a new book in a new series, Deal With the Devil, coming out next year. For another they continue to be smart and funny on Twitter.

For some reason I had trouble blowing through this bundle like I normally do with this author's books. The writing was well done. The characters were great as always. The internal conflicts were perfect and this author writes some of the best sex scenes around. I think I was a little bored, which is why it took me forever to work through these. I needed a little more action throughout the books. The external conflicts seemed to ramp up at the end of the books, which is where I truly got into the stories.

this series is just as fabulous as the first. as soon received second bundle of beyond i read one right after the other. can read as stand alones but much better if read in order. if you like post apocalyptic setting, a little bit of love and debauchery these are the stories to read. i love this series

Kit Rocha for the win. Her characters and story lines are just phenomenal. These are such good reads and I had the hardest time putting them down every day. If you like sexy books with live stories and action then you will love these!

After beginning with bundle one, then progressing to alternating between this bundle and the novellas bundle, books 3.5 through 5.5, I'm looking forward to the final bundle. Fortunately the series is currently available through the KU library, making it easy to continue into the brewing war.
