[Clean Book Hoarders]

This is likely my new favorite Cassandra Joelle book (which I find myself saying with each new release)! My favorite part is how the characters work on their relationships with God and seek him first. It is so refreshing to see on page accompanied by entertaining plots that make you laugh. Also the names, Autumn and Blaze…perfection! The town is all about fall and all things pumpkin, cinnamon, fall like was so fun to read about this time of year. I highly recommend this book!

[Finding Faith in Fiction (Chrissy)]

I have to say, this was my favorite Cassandra Joelle story yet! I've really enjoyed some of the previous books I've read of hers (How to Fall for a Cowboy & Giddy Up, Gorgeous), but this one just really stole my heart! I'm terrified of fire, so I'm not sure why this one, but it really just hooked me! I don't usually rate a rom-com five starts, but I did with this one.

I loved that Autumn decided to go live in a wilderness watchtower in the middle of a dangerous fire season to go be alone and heal from the disaster that was her previous relationship. I really related to her desire to be out in nature, living very simply and slowly, and reconnecting with God and herself. The fact that she was terrified of heights and had to climb up and down the watchtower's "ladder" to get down to the bathroom was humorous.

I appreciated that she developed friendships with some of the female fire team before Blaze even enters the picture, and that she spent a lot of her free time in the tower reading and studying her Bible. Her and Blaze's chemistry was pretty instant, yet they developed crushes on each other despite not knowing what the other looked like. I found that very sweet; especially how Blaze says he'd fallen so hard that it really didn't matter what she looked like. The way he transitions from always wanting to be out in the field to being very content at dispatch was so adorable, and the way he went to help Autumn evacuate without a second thought was so sweet.

The faith content was moderate in the story, with a lot of focus on Autumn reconnecting with her relationship with God.

Last year, I read (and loved) one of Cassandra Joelle's fall romcoms, so when I saw her announcement about this new fall-themed book, I was so excited to dive back in to everything cozy and sweet in her Wyoming romance collection!

I really enjoyed this, and it did exactly what I was hoping for... It put me in the mood for sweater weather (and a few delicious baked goods, of course!)

The firefighter theme is very fun! The FMC, Autumn, works in a fire watchtower in the Wyoming wilderness, which I loved!! It made me think of treehouse/cabin living, or something along those lines. Very adventurous. I also liked the sense of buildup within the wildfire season. It's just a taste of the high-stakes, wilderness survival stories I also love to read (although this is definitely a romcom rather than a suspense/survival story overall).

As for the romance, the main two characters begin interacting later than I was expecting, but it's well worth the wait because the banter is so good! (Actually, there's a great sense of buildup in this aspect too... I was basically just grinning the whole time, waiting for them to figure out more about each other.)

And this is a Christian romance (which is something I always enjoy in Cassandra Joelle's stories)! So, if you're looking for clean, faith-focused romances that would be great for both upper teens and adults, definitely check this out for the fall season!

Falling for the Hotshot: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Autumn has just been dumped by her fiance shortly before their wedding. On top of that, she loses her job as church receptionist after the church starts struggling financially.

She needs a new job stat and comes across a listing with the Maple Haven Fire Department for a fire watchtower position, where she’ll be based in the middle of the woods in a tower with no cell service, grocery store, or cable. She jumps at the chance, realizing she needs to heal from the humiliation of the break up and get back to having a close relationship with God.

Blaze has just been dumped by his newly long-distanced girlfriend with hardly any explanation. On top of that, while out on his job as a firefighter, he gets in an accident and his leg is crushed. He’s hospitalized and told the recovery process won’t be fast or pretty. His uncle, head of the fire department sets him up taking dispatch calls from the fire watchtowers.

After communicating by the radio systems, sparks fly (figuratively and literally) and Blaze has to save Autumn and evacuate her watch tower as a fire comes through.

The banter, the swoon, the sparks of this book were amazing! I absolutely loved Autumn and Blaze. The whole setting of fire watchtowers and dispatch centers was so unique too. I love how in all of Cassandra’s books, she’s able to create healthy God-centered relationships. The themes of loss, hope, and finding yourself are all present in this book and I’d highly recommend to anyone who loves cowboy romances or who is curious about God as she does a fantastic job of weaving faith themes into her stories!

I was lucky to be an ARC reader for this and Cassandra’s books never disappoint!

From the first page to the last, I simply fell for this heartwarming fall romance. I love how the story has Autumn and Blaze working in related fields while keeping them physically distanced, creating the perfect setup for their radio communication. The radio calls between Autumn and Blaze felt like an echo of handwritten letters exchanged between romantic leads. I love how deep their connection became through their daily conversations and the sweetness between these two characters. I simply adore that faith is a central part of Autumn and Blaze’s stories and how it shapes their relationship.

Cassandra Joelle does an excellent job creating the communities her characters live in. I really enjoyed the small community of Maple Haven and how vividly it was described. As someone who has read numerous books by Joelle, I find the references to characters from previous books delightful, especially when those characters cross over into the story I'm currently reading. It’s a lovely treat to see the connections among all the charming small towns she has created.

Readers who enjoy fall-themed, faith-filled romance will appreciate this story of two people finding each other against the odds. You'll be sure to fall for this sweet story.

Autumn is engaged to Ray but she’s feeling more alone in her relationship with him than she did by herself. But when he calls off the wedding because of another woman, it still hurts. She then loses her job. When she sees that the fire district is hiring for a seasonal firewatcher in a remote tower, she applies because she feels like she needs the solitude after everything she’s been through. Maybe then she can get close to God again.

Blaze is a hotshot firefighter who broke his leg and is now manning the dispatch lines. He’s bummed he’s not out where the action is but when he starts talking to Autumn over the radio and they develop chemistry, he starts liking his temporary job more and more. But will they have the same chemistry once they actually meet face to face?

I have read four of Cassandra’s books and this is my favorite so far. I loved how Jesus traded Autumn’s pain for peace and how she realized that God’s timing is always better than we can ever decide for ourselves. When you read Cassandra’s books you can be sure that you are getting faith-filled, no spice, cute humor, and a great story!

Blaze is a “Hotshot” firefighter who is relegated to being a dispatcher after an injury on the job. He has also been hurt by someone and now only wants someone who God has for him. As he talks with Autumn more and more, he can’t seem to get her off his mind.

This book was SO sweet! Full of (clean) pumpkin spice and irresistible sparks (literally), this Christian, fall-themed book had me melting. It starts off with Autumn, who was dumped by her fiancé just before the wedding and, at the same time, lost her current job. This leads her to join the firefighting force and live in one of the high towers as a lookout for wildfires. I read this book in one day I couldn’t put it down !
I absolutely loved meeting Blaze and Autumn.
We first meet Autumn and Blaze in the grocery store , Autumn was buying some goodies and Blaze is a firefighter buying some groceries for the guys at the station .
They happen in line together but they don’t actually speak they just see each other .
Kinda a meet and see .
Autumn is engaged and Blaze just broke up with a girlfriend ( even though Autumn’s boyfriend is never around)
The events that happen later Autumn is healing and she ends up a fire watcher and Blaze got injured on the job and he ends up on the phones and they become phone buddies ( they don’t know they were from the grocery store )
This is such a good book and I love Cassandra’s books and how God is weaved into each and every one of them . They are all so sweet .

At this point, Cassandra has cemented herself as one of my favorite authors, and that’s mostly because of how her books make me feel. There are plenty of books out there that make me fearful, heavy, discontent, or dirty. But Cassandra’s, in contrast, make me joyful, excited, encouraged, and refreshed. This beautiful book is no exception. I found myself falling so in love with Blaze and Autumn, and as a fall girlie (and redhead!) myself, every second of this book was a treat. Although, most of the pages and their delectable goodies made me hungry! All in all, this was an absolutely incredible read, I loved the concept of the fire system and all that goes on there, and this book totally got me in the fall spirit! YAY for a new Cassandra Joelle novel, and yay for kicking off the autumn season!

There is just something about Cassandra Joelle's books that I cannot help but enjoy. They're fun, they're faith-filled, they have cowboys... and simply put, there are just enjoyable to read. And I have enjoyed each one that I have read so far. But this one might just be my new favorite... which is pretty impressive for a story in which our main characters are apart for much of the story. Instead, they get to know and fall for each other primarily over a dispatch radio... and I loved that! Their story was truly unique in so many ways but still had that lightness and strong sense of faith that I enjoy about Cassandra's writing... with some added fall vibes and even a hint of danger to keep things interesting. If you love Christian romance, firefighters and fall romance, this is certainly one to add to your TBR.

I was so excited to return to Maple Haven with Falling for the Hotshot! I've devoured Cassandra Joelle's previous books, and this was another sweet addition. Autumn and Blaze were so easy to root for, and I loved how their relationship developed. Their conversations were meaningful, and I really enjoyed getting to know them right along with each other.

The wilderness, the uniqueness, and the characters made it so easy to get lost in this one. It was sweet, heartfelt, and had plenty of those moments that kept me laughing and smiling. I enjoyed returning to this little fictional town, and I'm already ready for whatever Cassandra Joelle gives us next!

I enjoyed every aspect of reading this. There's a lot of themes both subtle and overt pointing to the fall season that's very hard to miss. Autumn (our FMC) is learning to take charge of her life by putting God in charge, recovering from a breakup, she impulsively signs up for a fire watching job in an area that's been praying for even a drop of rain. What she doesn't know is that this is gonna be one unforgettable adventure of her life. Love finds her in the wilderness! Funny!
Blaze (our MMC), a fitting name for a hotshot firefighter! Every disappointment is a blessing waiting, though I can't say the pain he must have felt in that leg injury.

I loved being on Cassandra’s ARC team for this book! Autumn’s story was deeply moving and I loved watching her grow through the situation she found herself in. Her turning to her Bible in times of need felt so relatable and also convicting. Autumn’s inner dialogue was so stinking hilarious! I LOVED that she included characters from her other books! Hailey from Big Horn made an appearance! She had me falling for the hotshot as well! Blaze’s POV was amazing as well. He is so kind and patient it was amazing to see how he went through his own tough time. I wish I could read it again for the first time!

I absolutely loved Fallling For a Hotshot! I am most definitely putting this book on my best books of 2026 list. I thought that all of the characters were very well rounded, realistic, and mature. I got emotional when I was reading their story. There were a lot of moments in this book that had me giggling and there were some moments that genuinely were pulling at my heart strings. I feel so attached to Blaze and Autumn.

This was such a sweet read and I enjoyed it so so much. I highly recommend it to everyone who loves a small town romance and Christian romance.

Falling for the Hotshot by Cassandra Joelle was such a fun read! I really enjoyed watching both Autumn and Blaze grow throughout the story. Their relationship developed in such a fun and unexpected way, with plenty of banter along the way.

I especially loved Autumn’s faith journey. When things fell apart, she could have easily gotten stuck in self-pity, but instead she chose to lean into her relationship with God and move forward in a really positive way.

Add in a beautiful setting, fun characters, and a unique workplace romance, and you have a really enjoyable read!

We follow Autumn, a local girl from Maple Haven. Then we have Blaze, a hotshot firefighter. Autumn gets dumped a few months before her wedding because her fiancé suddenly decides she’s not his soulmate.😩 Yeah… absolutely NOT. That was such a terrible move on his part. But honestly, I’m glad it happened because it freed her from some baggage she didn’t need.

I really loved the “Love Is Blind” concept with her and Blaze communicating without actually seeing each other. I thought that was such a fun concept, but I wish their relationship had been developed a little more. I wanted a bit more from their romance.

I also enjoyed the wordplay with the names and how the author incorporated that into the story. Such a fun little detail!

Overall, this was a lighthearted read and as always with Cassandra Joelle’s books, the underlying themes hit. There were some thought-provoking messages woven throughout that made me stop and think, which is something I always appreciate about her writing.

Second, I adored this book! These characters were so lovable and sweet to one another. Don’t mistaken sweet for not being flawed bc they were plenty flawed but thank God by his grace and prayer they got to mend their brokenness. This book had so many fall treats I was craving pumpkin from the very beginning! The author hit home that Jesus is our guiding light and we should seek him first in all we do! My only complaint is that I wanted more of Blaze and Autumn story.

This is a first for me from this author. The story was sweet and faith filled. Some books claim to be ‘Christian’ romance because they mention God or faith- this one is definitely Christian romance. Talk of God is woven throughout and is a significant part of the story.
