A deep look at a life of Zen lived through the art and Way of tea. In this book, we explore tea and Zen both, as well as how they relate to each other and our own inner transformation.
This book is very uneven. Fisher is not a great writer but is sometimes capable of expressing interesting zen concepts in an accessible way. More often, however, his writing seems naive and the stories overly simplified. Fisher moved on, as Wu De, to lead Global Tea Hut and I'd say the freely accessible issues of Global Tea Hut magazine devoted to the connection between tea and zen are better than this book.
