Graduate.
Get a job.

But they are making it fucking impossible.
Everywhere I turn, one of them is there. It’s like they are working as a unit to wear me down. In class. Between classes. Morning, afternoon, and night. Even my fucking dorm room. Nowhere is off-limits to them.
I can’t escape them. They are using every one of their skills to show me exactly what I am missing.
And the worst part about all of this? I think it might be working.

I was so excited for this release and I am left feeling unfulfilled.

Unfortunately this book was the epitome of 'they can talk the talk but can't walk the walk.' As another review mentioned, there was nothing of substance that they did to 'earn her trust back.' Xavier was the only one who actually refused to leave her alone. Emmy was constantly mad but never did anything about it. The internal monologues were getting on my nerves, just talk to each other for fuck sake. No one, at any point in the story, had the balls to say how they felt. They all just thought it, moped, brooded a bit, then moped some more.

Except when she went to get her stuff back from Derek. However that whole scene rubbed me wrong. One kiss and Emmy suddenly isn't mad at all at Derek crossing the one boundary she set out YET AGAIN. And then he just handcuffs her to the bed, and fucks off to play poker. Also i feel that although the contract hadn't been broken, it was completely wrong of Derek to ignore her saying no and demanding a safeword, as we all know she thinks that ends the whole relationship still.

The letter was completely pointless as it said nothing of substance and nothing new. The mention of Xaviers gift she hadn't opened, again was another pointless comment as it was never followed up. There were so many useless points in this book, i do assume as some point we may get an Oakley/Vinnie book though considering the author took so much time to ram that home.

Also are we all just glossing over the fact that she saw all those girls kneeling at the end of book 3 and 1 tiny conversation with Derek's ex and it's sorted? Darling you safe worded out because of that and never was it mentioned again?!?!
Hudson may as well have not been in this book and Darcy didn't feature much better.

The only one who grovelled at all was Hudson and he took the time to respond to her journal. Darcy just drew her and pined.
What was the point of brining up Xaviers past and Derek's whole 'we are going to chat about this and he won't be able to get away with not telling us' and then it got forgotten.

I also dislike what the author did with Oakley in this book, in the first 3 she was Emmys biggest support, super bubbly and fun and twinkly. In this one she seems grumpy and it seems her whole character has changed.

I feel the 'Daddies' never really apologised or begged for her back and she gave it so quickly. Shame this series ended the way it did as I loved it up until now. This is why some books need to be a duology/trilogy rather than keep dragging them out when it is unnecessary.

On the whole i felt this book was unnecessary and a massive letdown.

Please 🙏 fix all my trauma 😭😭😭

Update: it fixed all my trauma 👏

I don't even know where to start because this book was everything I wanted it to be and more. It was the perfect ending to the Sugar Baby series, and Harley has once again reminded me why she's my absolute favourite author.

The grovelling was chef's kiss, just the right amount. It felt earned, sincere, and never overdone. What I loved most was that they didn't just apologise with words; they respected her boundaries, gave her the space she needed, and still showed up for her every single chance they got. That kind of love and growth is exactly what I wanted to see.

The slow burn had me hanging on every page, but the payoff was so worth the wait. Every moment of tension, every conversation, and every little step towards their happily ever after had me completely invested.

And that ending... I was genuinely happy crying. It wrapped up not only their story but the entire series so beautifully, and I closed the book with the biggest smile on my face and tears down my cheeks.

Harley Madison has created another unforgettable book that made me laugh, swoon, and cry all in one sitting. I loved every single second of this book, and it's officially my favourite in the series. The spice was absolutely top-notch, and the BDSM elements were written with so much care, trust, and intention that they elevated the story rather than overshadowing it.

If you're looking for a romance that delivers heart, healing, incredible chemistry, phenomenal spice, and a perfectly satisfying ending, this series needs to be at the top of your TBR.

It's only getting 3 because it made me cum. I can't hate the smut. A girl has been stressed fr...

Honestly, it was a lot of dragging. The plot was stagnant, at some point I had to blink twice, feeling I like already read the same thing 2pages ago.
It literally got me on a headache, because how is it so dragged but then also rushed ? The whole chaos bout her kidnapping was done in 3pages max... like please let there be a fight ?? Something??
The whole "alpha energy" that was around the men disappeared. (Except big daddyy Xavier. He stood on business)
For the 3others, It's giving : when your man tells you he'll take the trash out in the morning because it's too dark outside. YOU LITTLE BITCH. ( ok yes they didn't exactly cower in that car to save her but they literally took time to have a rational discussion bout it when she was in danger. You're alpha enough to want her tied to a ceiling but not to take a knife and head out ? Ugh ew)

Most of the book then is just her talking about how, she could "never go back to them". (Says Another victim of dickmatization)
And those men saying : "I'll never let her go "ALL FUCKING CHApters. Like OK ??
What you gonn do bout it then huh ? Nada.
Worst groveling trope ever. It was basically all words and gifts. A real man ACT and cryyyyyyy. It was just unsatisfying.

Also in the previous books I feel like the men had their equal spotlights. Well in this one I kept forgetting bout anyone that's not Xavier and Derek. #whychoose but if I gotta choose, Xavier is the only one allowed to lick it from the front to the back.
Even the whole mystery about Xavier's past never got revealed ffs.

Also Their making up had no impact after 600+ pages.
That's the thing that authors don't get, the more you drag on and lose us. The more you gotta finish it with fucking fireworks to make it worth it.
Cause this could've just been 300 pages.

And after all that suffering we end the book with 6months time skip on a pure (GREAT) sex scene. When we'd need to see them functioning normally again, with no lust. To see that they see her as more than the girl they can turn into a sex toy and that can take all their cocks at the same time.
Ps : just that ceremony would've been nice to see ffs. #SomeEmotionsPls

Also her audacity to reply to will like that. ??? Like 🤣 you're in the wrong. There's no " I understand his pov BUt", there's no but. You knew that man was into you and you used him as a test to know if you could move on. He had every right to call you names.

Anyways I regret activating my kindle subscription for this.
The book isn't bad. It's just not great.

Barely finished

I thoroughly enjoyed the other 3 books in this series and was anxiously awaiting this release. Unfortunately, it was a major let down. Lots of whip lash from the FMC and it just went on for forever (75+% of the way through before we start to have a reconciliation). Could have been a much shorter book with a better ending. Almost DNF, and only finished because I’d committed time to the other books and was curious of the ending.

It’s been a few days since I finished this book and unfortunately the more I think about it the more annoyed and disappointed I get. My initial rating was 3 stars but I dropped it to 2 but honestly this was more of 1.5 ⭐️ for me. That being said, welcome to my thesis on this book/series. This will be all over the place and will contain spoilers.

I want to preface this by saying that this was THE release I was most excited about this year. And it breaks my heart that it was so bad(from my pov at least).

I will end my rant here because I already got annoyed by this again. It pains me and it saddens me that I have to say this but stop at the first book if you want to read it. It’s no point in continuing the series.

I was promised grovelling. I was promised four men throwing themselves at her and begging for forgiveness.

Instead I got soppy puppies (yes even Xavier) who were letting her do things on her own terms.

Minimal chasing - none for some men. Ongoing mind games from Big D. Pathetic. I was so keen for this final book and what a let down. And after the big communication break down we still get major red flags. I wanted Doms not drama kings.

And the OM drama. Giving frat party rape vibes…

The FMC did all the heavy lifting.

Then the neck breaking 180 from Oakley… from they’re just daddies and don’t want long term to pushing them together and giving her the letter.

Uh.

Sad.

🌶️

I genuinely cannot believe I’m writing this review because the first three books were SO SO good. Waiting almost a year for this finale, and it ended up being one of my biggest reading disappointments in a long time.

I’m not even exaggerating when I say the first 75% of this book is just… nothing. It felt like page after page of people refusing to talk. The same issues got dragged out over and over, the plot barely moved, and I found myself checking how much I had left constantly. I came so close to DNFing it multiple times, which I never thought I’d say about this series.

The FMC is CONSTANTLY saying “I’m an adult. Treat me like one” and then legitimately (for 400 pages) never talking or asking questions to the MMCs and just running away from them…. Mkay girl.

The MMCs barely had any chapters and they were all basically the same “I’m sad. I love her. I will do nothing but wait.” …yeah okay big alpha daddy energy there.

The first three books had me completely hooked. They were fast-paced, emotional, spicy (!!!) and I couldn’t put them down. This one somehow managed to suck all the momentum (and spice) out of the series. By the time things FINALLY started happening, I honestly didn’t even care anymore because I’d spent hundreds of pages waiting for… anything.

Maybe my expectations were too high after waiting so long for this, but this felt like it could’ve been cut in half without losing anything. I’m just so disappointed because this had all the potential to be an epic finale, and instead it was a flop.

2.75⭐
I am so sad about how disappointing this was. I loved the first three books enough that I actually preordered this one, so this was easily one of my most anticipated releases. 😭
Honestly, 2.75⭐ is probably still too generous, but I did enjoy some chapters and I refuse to let this series end on an even lower note.
The fact that this book is three times the length of the first three makes absolutely no sense. Nothing happened for SO much of it. The cliffhanger from book three was “resolved” almost immediately, and then the remaining questions from those events were basically just shrugged off so everyone could go back to being stupid and petty.
Everything dragged. Everything was repetitive. And then suddenly the last 15% was a complete speed run through the ending, including what felt like a checklist of spicy scenes that hadn't been ticked off yet. And then… epilogue. Cool.
Meanwhile, side characters who had been present throughout the entire series barely got any resolution. Oakley apparently just stopped existing when we got to the ending. We don't even get Will's response. Xavier seemed to have an entire side quest happening throughout the book that never got the attention or answers I felt it deserved.
But don't worry, we had plenty of time for Em to internally remind us that she misses her daddies but can never forgive them approximately 47 times.
Yeah. This may genuinely be my biggest disappointment of the year. Especially because at one point this was one of my most anticipated releases.
When I look back at this series, I think I'm just going to mentally stop at book two and pretend that's where the magic happened. 😭

*RECEIVED PRE-RELEASE ARC COPY*

3.5 stars.

A little disappointed, not gunna lie. The other 3 books for me were 5 stars no notes. But I felt this one was a little let down.

Despite not being a rushed write, it felt like a rushed finale of a book. The other 3 were so strong and written almost real-time which made the series so interesting no and left me wanting books in this series forever more. However this one did not have the same feel as the others.

I feel that the characters were all completely different people in this book. Emery was nothing like the Emery is gotten to known over 3 other books and likewise with the daddies. I feel it lacked the chapters from the daddie’s perspectives too. I always want more of them.

I still enjoyed the read and to have closure. But it just wasn’t the wow factor I’d hope for.

Honestly I think this book could have been cut in half and still would have felt too long. I enjoyed the emotions from Emmy that were brought into the story but they just kept repeating over and over again instead of getting us anywhere with her Daddies. As for the men, they really needed to step up and do some actual groveling so I was disappointed we didn't see that more.

Overall, I think this was a good ending to these characters even with the issues I had with the pacing of it.

I have never seen a protagonist hold onto a grudge with such unwavering commitment while simultaneously refusing every opportunity to understand why she’s angry.
This book is essentially:
“I’m furious.”
“Can I explain?”
“No.”
“…Please?”
“Still no.”
300 pages later…
“You know what? I love them.”
Reader, I beg your pardon.
The most frustrating part isn’t even the romance. It’s that the FMC started this series as someone who was street smart, independent, and impossible to manipulate. By the end, she’s apparently forgotten every brain cell she arrived with because the plot requires her to.

Everyone tells her the truth. She ignores it.

People explain their motives. She ignores them.

Evidence appears. She ignores it.

Her own internal monologue starts questioning her decisions.
She ignores herself.

Iconic commitment to selective hearing, truly.

At some point this stopped feeling like emotional conflict and started feeling like the author was playing Keep Away with character development.
If your plot only works because your intelligent protagonist repeatedly refuses to communicate, ask questions, or listen to anyone, that’s not tension. That’s an idiot plot wearing a fake moustache and a trench coat.

And then… the ending.

After spending the entire book insisting she can’t forgive them, can’t trust them, can’t possibly move on…
Actually never mind. She loves them now.
No breakthrough. No emotional revelation that felt earned. No gradual rebuilding of trust. Just a narrative shrug and a happily ever after.
It honestly felt like the author remembered there were only twenty pages left and panicked like, “Right. Love fixes everything, I guess.”
I’ve never wanted to hand fictional characters a whiteboard, a mediator, and maybe a group therapy referral more in my life.
Such a disappointing end to a series that had so much potential.

“Little dove, you are worth everything. They know that now.”
^ Page 283.

I'm sorry but this just wasn't worth the hype personally and I kinda regret waiting 2 years to read this series. It had my hopes up but between since the guys hurt her at the end of book 2 they just seem to go about it all wrong, especially Derek.

Book 1 is one night stand before they request the weekend. Book 2 is the weekend before they scream at her and accuse her of stalking. Book 3 she's practically begging for him despite knowing they're not coming. Book 4 she's rejecting them the entire time.

There's no real character development here. Not much changed.

This book though (as this is my review for this one) - she's kidnapped and saved, in hospital within the first 40 pages?? I'm glad it didn't take forever considering what was about to happen to her but considering this book is 658 pages that's it?

Then she rejects them constantly, but still accepts them from time to time before rejecting them again, until 85%. She reads the letter and goes "oh they actually love me?" Then runs to them just like that? I'm sorry but she's supposed to be on this "I don't need them" train but as soon as she reads the words "we're sorry" she decides they're worth it??

Oh and then they have sex for the rest of the book.

What I'm trying to say is, this did not need to be dragged out for that long!

And what the hell is going on with Xavier? He's always on some side quest when he's not with Emery (you don't see him teach)?? No one questions him about him being prepared with weapons and back up? Or why he has a bandage around him after a week away? I get he's mysterious but it would've been nice to get some explanation about what's going on with him.

Also Derek? I hate that guy. Open your mouth or text her, communication is not that hard!

Yeah I'm sorry I really wanted to enjoy this series but it failed drastically. I almost stopped after book 2 but someone convinced me to see it out so I read book 3. Then I figured might as well finish the series as I made it that far.

2.5✨

What an epic finish!

“I’m going to pine for this girl like I’m a goddamn teenager with a curfew”

I feel like we finally find out a little more about the daddies in this one. They got a little more air time and that made this conclusion all the better, and explained their actions a little better.

There’s spice but not as much. This conclusion has a high emotional impact and makes you feel for Emmy as she navigates being eighteen but having lived the life of someone well into their twenties.

“I’ll kneel before this girl any time she asks it of me. I’m hers. Mind. Body. Soul. She owns me.”

The pining is real. The grovel is real. But I do feel like Emmy was being a little brat without realising it. She just didn’t have the emotional intelligence to understand what the feeling was and that’s right for an 18 yo.

Over all a solid series. The fact I don’t normally read this genre is a testament of how good the writing is.

So, I didn’t read the first three books and I’m glad because three books of the back and forth would have been frustrating. This was just enough for me. As it was, Emmy’s age was very apparent. So very immature. She just didn’t know what she wanted. There is a lot of repetition between her saying she will never forgive them and then saying they will never let her go. There are several elements that are mentioned and then never concluded. She never tells the guys about her history with the guy who took her at the beginning of the book, which is weird. They literally never bring it up after she realizes he’s dead. That seems like a pretty big topic to just never mention again.

Meh… I’m happy I got closure but this book was sooooo long. The depth that the other books had wasn’t there. It just felt like 7 hours of her going back and forth deciding what she wanted from her life and then when the decision was made it was over.

Ok here’s the thing. HM is a very good smut writer.
That being said, she traps us in the brains of five absolute idiots in four books of monologues with very little to show for it at the end. Could have been a very, very fun duology IMO.

Five characters, five collective brain cells. But like, I guess for this one we really only spend time with two idiots and one devoted psycho (we love you though, Xav).

I was so excited for this book. I love the first three, and when this one came out I was so ready. When I saw that it had six hundred and sixty pages I was excited, i thought it was gonna be a smutty book. But no, you get the MFC being constantly annoying, not even a brat more of just a child. It was so repetitive. I told myself not to put the book down but after 200 pages of not getting anywhere, it got old real fast. I finished to, but just to have what? The last one hundred pages to be smut? That’s it! And what the hell she was mad at them but didn’t let them explain?! And at the end they didn’t even explain what happened!!! I don’t know, I really was excited for this book and I’m left unsatisfied. The only okay-ish thing that was making me happy-BARLEY, was that Xavier stayed and didn’t leave her. This was the most frustrating read I have ever read. This actually made me now have a rule to stop reading a book if it’s not it, because after this, yeah I will not love this torture again.

I really wanted to love Baby Girl. I'd been waiting patiently, like a good girl, for this release, and unfortunately, it did not deliver.

After the incredible cliffhanger at the end of Book 3, I expected an emotional, high-stakes payoff. Instead, it felt like a missed opportunity. The entire story revolves around miscommunication, with everyone refusing to have the conversations that would have actually moved the plot forward.

I love age-gap and reverse harem romances, but the FMC came across as incredibly immature. She constantly complains about being left out, yet refuses to communicate openly with her daddies. If she can't have an adult conversation, it's hard to believe she's ready for a serious relationship with four men.

The guys weren't much better. Rather than expressing their feelings, they spent most of the book avoiding honest communication. It became repetitive very quickly.

It honestly felt like 87% of the book was the same conflict on repeat, with everyone separated and refusing to talk, followed by the last 13% being one long sex scene. The pacing was completely off, and the emotional payoff I'd been waiting for never came.

What makes this so disappointing is that I genuinely loved the first three books. They built an engaging world, lovable characters, and a storyline that had so much potential. This finale just didn't stick the landing. I finished the book feeling frustrated rather than satisfied, and that's such a shame after investing so much time in the series.

1.5 I am epically disappointed. I really loved books 1 & 2 of this series and thought the third book was not bad but this is not at all what I was hoping for.

It’s 100% way too long. It’s insanely repetitive. Emery is wishy washy and immature and lacking in self awareness. The MMCs who I found so captivating in the previous books were flat. No one TALKS to each other.

And, honestly, I started this series for the sex and there is like NO SEX?! I mean okay, yes there is sex. But in over 650 pages there are I think 4 scenes, and 3 of them are in the last 150 pages and only one is with all 4 of the guys. 500 pages of the same inner monologue bullshit over and over. And then a couple honestly fairly lame sex scenes. Not what I signed up for unfortunately. I’m here for the kink and this just bored me for the most part.

I loved this series but was really let down by this book.

This book was 660 pages and for over 400 of them it was just Emery and the daddies not getting anywhere. The internal monologue was very repetitive and got frustrating.

The opening was great - the daddies fighting to rescue Emmy but it went downhill from there. I like they gave her space, but they didn't fight for her the way the book teased. Thankfully Xavier carried the team by his lack of boundaries.

The blurb was not very accurate to the actual story because they just gave her space, they didn't fight for her the way I was expecting.

I found the pacing quite jarring, sometimes it fell like some progress would be made and then things would be halted. I felt like the attempted date with Will was too late in the book. Then by the time they get get back together, the book is being concluded.

I was hooked with the first 40% but then found myself getting over it. I think this would have been better if this was 200 pages shorter.

Disappointing.
Very underwhelming after such a great start to the series with the first 2 books (the 3rd wasn’t my favorite).
Too many plots that lead nowhere, no character development, no likable qualities of the FMC - she literally whined for the first 500 pages and then was like, “okay, I’m in” after basically nothing.
Also very surprised by the lack of spice. For a series like this where the first 2 books delivered on the spice - this one didn’t have any true group spice until 80+% in??????
Very scattered and ultimately ending was rushed.
Felt like the book was rushed in general.

I feel like I read the same thing for 60% of this book. I was really excited to see how this book would go but I’m disappointed. Emery gave me decision fatigue from chapter 6! The back and forth seemed pointless when not a single character stuck to what they were saying except Xavier but even that was a bit weird. This book didn’t need to be 650 pages. I’m glad the series is over. I did really enjoy the first 3 books but it should’ve ended there.

600 pages weren’t necessary. Almost DNF. And what’s crazy, is there were some things left up in the air. But she spent 450 pages of Emery complaining and being a huge child. Loved how series started, couldn’t care less by page 200. It’s done now.
