Wheels & Hogs #3

Gabriel's Treasure

Rate this book
Gabriel “Doc” Murphy found the woman he’d planned to treasure for the rest of his life in a young, shy girl he had seen being bullied in a hallway between classes whey they were just kids. Over the years, Doc loved and protected her with all he had, until the day came when he received news that there was something that could take her away from him… Cancer. Being faced with the possibility of losing the love of his life, Doc would turn the world inside-out to save and keep the only love that could shatter him, body and soul, if he couldn’t save her.

Fern knew the instant she fell into Gabriel’s arms all those years ago, that she had found her “one and only.” He became her everything—owning her heart and soul. As they made it through their life journey together, nothing could tear their unbreakable bond. Life struggles, financial losses, and even devastating miscarriages didn’t stand a chance until the day she received the phone call that finally shattered their world to the core, leaving Fern preparing for the fight of her life.

As Doc and Fern struggle through each day, praying for a miracle, one presents itself. Do they dare have hope, or do they accept that the fight is over as a dark shadow waits patiently to make a move to alter their lives forever.

I was hired to proofread this book. The only feedback I provided was on spelling and grammar. The author was not and is not aware that this review is being written and posted. I made that decision on my own because I review every book I read. If you feel this connection makes my review unreliable, so be it, but this is my honest review of the book.

So this is the third book in a series and I haven't read the first two. There were times where I felt like I would understand things better, like the connections between all the characters and some of the secondary characters back stories, but it didn't negatively affect my experience with this story heavily. If anything, this book made me want to go back to read the first two to hopefully get clued in to those things I felt I was missing.

This story frequently had me on edge, basically wondering when the other shoe was going to drop, expecting it constantly. The author did a good job of making me care about these characters very early on in the story even though I haven't read the first two books. I really feel like I know Gabriel and Fern, and like I'm now a part of the Horde too.

The story is told in first person, alternating amongst several of the characters, but sticking mostly to Gabriel and Fern, and I think that is part of why I feel so close to the characters now, because everything felt so personal while I was reading.

Overall I give this book 4 out of 5 stars. It kept me on the edge of my seat and entertained me even though I was focusing on finding spelling and grammar errors. I would definitely recommend it to fans of MC books.

What can I say? Gabriel’s Treasure is a journey about the possibility of losing the most important person in your world. It’s a story of strength, love, and faith. About how a big Alpha male can be brought to his knees by this love. This is definitely a must read and be ready for an emotional read!

Gabriel and Fern had been a couple since high school and were hopelessly in love with each other. Happy, in love and then their world was turned upside down. Fern was diagnosed with cancer and was having to undergo chemo therapy.

Most of us really don’t get the whole picture of how being treatment for cancer impacts the lives of those going through it. Their fears and how family and friends are sometimes the only link to the world outside of the confines of the hospital room and feeling of living a complete life.

Throughout this book Gabriel was truly Fern’s lifeline. He was so loving and took such good care of her and her needs. All alpha tendencies put aside to show her the gentleness she needed but there as a support to help her make decisions.

He was always there to reinforcing any doubts that would cloud her thoughts. Their strong MC family always stepped up to the task at hand, no matter what the need, no questions asked. It was really cool to see how the MC was shown as such a strong family unit too.

A heartfelt and emotional read but so good!!

I loved all the different emotions this book brings to the reader. There is fear, grief, strength, love and determination within each page.

Fern is fighting for her life. Gabriel is fighting for their lives to continue, to have a future, because without Fern, Gabriel doesn't have a future. Fern and Gabriel hold onto their strength and love for one another as Fern fights the cancer that is threatening to take her away from her family and most importantly, Gabriel.

Gabriel is trying to stay strong for Fern but a man can only endure so much before he weakens and has to ask for help from his family.

Through all the days and nights at the hospital, both hold onto the other and find a new intimacy between themselves. The bond they share is unforgettable and strong. Seeing each, Fern and Gabriel, react to what is happening around them makes you believe love can conquer anything.

My Review of Gabriel’s Treasure By D.M. Earl
My Rating 4.5 Stars

This being the third in the series, I have found that it’s my favorite so far!
This story is so full of love and compassion between Gabriel and his wife Fern. This story takes you on an emotional journey, it grips you and pulls in by your heart, and you feel for each of these characters. Fern is fighting for her life, and Gabriel knows without Fern he could not go on living. This couple have a bond that is unbreakable and together they can conquer anything in their path. Another amazing read by D.M. Earl, she continues to suck you in and make you a true fan of her work! Amazing job indeed!
I highly recommend you read this series, as it doesn’t disappoint.

I gave this book 5 stars!

Grab a box of tissues, a comfy chair and a cold drink because you are one on hella of ride with this book. From the beginning to the end you will not be able to put it down. There is so many emotions you will feel like your on a see saw. The characters whether they are main or supporting you just keep falling for them. You will not find a greater love story than Ferns and Doc's.

Gabriel aka Doc has loved Fern since high school. They had many trials but now comes their greatest hurdle...Fern has cancer and needs a miracle to survive. Will she get it and can Doc hold it together to support his wife through this journey?

This book picks up where book 2 ends. D.M. has written a beautiful love story. If you pick up this series you will not be disappointed. Can't wait to see where this series goes.

This is the story of a couple deeply in love fighting the big C. It shows the struggle for the patient and their loved ones. There are tears and smiles, highs and lows, friends and family . Experience some of their feelings on this journey with Fern, Gabriel and the Horde.

Gabriel (Doc) and Fern’s story got to me from the previous books. Their full story was a love match made in heaven. Doc and Fern are going through so much. Will they get their happily ever after or will it all end in tragedy? Loved this series.

This story made me cry and I cried some more my heart was breaking. Fern and Gabriel's story aka Doc will tear your heart out.

I loved this story from beginning to end and everything in between no matter the subject and how it made us feel we felt that the author made this story feel real, and we were experiencing all the same emotions that these characters were experiencing when it comes to Fern and her fight with cancer right down to all the love they felt for her.

I loved hearing Gabriel and Fern's story and how they came to be and how they met and of the losses they have had to endure but, one thing was always clear these two were soulmates and mates for life. Their story was heart wrenching as well as awe-inspiring.

Although this story was about Fern's fight for her life the story had tons of other things going on other lives were evolving families were experiencing their own strife within their own ranks and then you had Cadence and Trinity and all the others doing everything and everything to help Fern in her time of need.

Talk about surprises this story had many. We loved how their families have grown adding a few new nomad bikers to the mix who have joined their band of misfits.

Overall this story makes you believe in true love and happily ever afters and that there are soulmates out there for us if we are lucky to find them. But, what we loved most about this story other than its characters was even though this book is a book of fiction it all felt very real right down to how spouses or significant others on how it feels like to deal with all that pain of seeing their loved ones in so much pain and the possible loss of them. Gabriel, you were what every girl dreams of finding, and we loved that you let us see what was inside your heart and even the strongest men sometimes need a shoulder to cry on...

Loved it! Tissues, Tissues, Tissues...

I've been in love this week since I started to read this series.
It has captured my heart and soul with just 2 books.
I'm in love.
D.M. Earl has this amazing series that I think you all should read it.
Her writing is raw and sweet, wild, and hot as hell.
Yep... Hot hot hot.
Gabriel's Treasure is the third book from the Wheels & Hogs series and I advise you to start this series from the beginning.
You'll love it.
This book explores the lives of Gabriel aka Doc and Fern.
Gabriel has found the love of his life. Their love has been growing through the years and keeps getting bigger.
Now cancer is putting it all in jeopardy.
Fern knew that she would find her happily ever after in Gabriel's arms.
They had a few losses but their life kept getting bigger.
But now, the big C is threatening to end it all.
Can they survive?
No words. I had no words once this book ended.
What a story, what a ride.
Perfect plot, well written super engaging, and intense.
The emotional factor is super high and I'm still shaking.
The interaction between the characters, the way they deal with all the problems was inspiring.
There were parts of the book that I saw myself crying and wanting to be there with them. Holding them and promise better days.
Big C really has it all and you can't let your guard down
Let me just say that I've read this book in one sitting.
Great book D.M. Earl. Intense and emotional all the way. I loved it so freaking much and I can't wait to grab the next one. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Brilliant! Touching! Heartbreaking! Hopeful! These are just a few of the emotions I experienced while reading Gabriel's Treasure by D.M. Earl. Get ready for an emotional rollercoaster ride like no other. We met the characters of Gabriel and Fern in the other Wheels and Hogs series. They are two of the strongest people. Their inner strength is amazing. Gabriel's (Doc) love for Fern is so touching. He is fighting his own demons while she fights for her life. He faces his mistakes and shows how a real man deals with problems. It is beautiful to see his journey.
Fern shows courage and strength in the face of devastating news.
We see how Cancer not only effects the person but the family. D.M.Earl did an amazing job with compassion and heart.
Although my heart went through an emotional ride, I'm so glad I experienced this wonderful story of love, faith, and hope! Thank you D.M.Earl.

We met Doc and Fern in Cadence Reflection…Fern has cancer and baby Hope may hold the key to remission for Fern.

I won’t say too much but this is a tale about a woman and her families fight with cancer…this book deals with every aspect; her fight, her feelings, the procedures and how her family & friends struggle with her illness. It is just such a touching and moving story.

Doc and Fern met at high school and throughout the book they travel to the past and we see glimpses, oh and how they have suffered, not just with this horrible disease but with other heartbreaking life events.

Not your typical biker book at all but shows how a biker family pull together to support their own and others.

Get your tissues out – you will need them.

OMG once again I am completely blow away by how much I loved this story. I have been waiting for this story since reading Cadence Reflection Book 2 in this series months ago and it was totally worth the wait. This is Doc and Fern Story and I highly suggest reading the other 2 books in this series first so you get the full experience you will not be sorry you did. That being said this book is amazing it will take you on an emotional rollercoaster you will Cry, Laugh, get Pissed off and if you are like me I completely fell in love with Doc and Fern. Will Doc be able to save the girl he loves and will Fern be able to win the biggest fight of her life? well you have to read it to find out and you wont be sorry you did :)

Gabrial and Fern

The two have been together since there were kids. He started protecting her and they fell for each other. Many things have tried to separate them and they've fought them all--until something terrifying steps in. This may be more than they could fight.

The story is touching and emotional. The Wheels & Hogs team also supports these two special giving people. I appreciated the author covering issues that often are ignored for those suffering from a serious illness. The battle is a hard one and a hard-fought battle.

The book provides an excellent story. It was a five star except for the number of simple mistakes that another review should have caught.

This book was an amazing love story. It was so sweet to see how they built their relationship from the very start. The book has a pattern of going from Past to present and from both point of views. We see their Happiest moneys and their heart ripping moments. Gabriel he was so sweet and the perfect man for Fern he is her rock. Fern that woman is so strong and resilient. She is the epitome of a good woman. This book gosh had me feeling all of their emotions it was so sad and yet so good. I hate Katie that bitch lol. Other then that I loved this book I couldn't put it down. Thank you to the author that gave me the chance to review and give it my honest review.

Gabriel’s Treasure is just that, a treasure. D. M. Earl has written a book that tears at all your emotions. Having read the first two books, I was a little hesitant to read Doc’s story, knowing what trials he and the love of his life Fern were going through with the cancer that was torturing her body. I needn’t have worried. Ms. Earl has written a beautiful love story that has love, passion, and a few miracles thrown in. I couldn’t stop reading once I started.
Bravo for writing a truly wonderful love story for all time.

Gabriel and Fern are two of the most loving people you could ever know. They are both going through a trying time with Fern’s illness and the reality they are facing together. Tho they can’t always be together due to the hospital and life they make due. As the more shit that happens makes Gabriel love stronger and his need to protect and be there always for Fern is amazing. With the whole group of friends and family they have more support than they will ever need and start to feel that can do anything.

Wow! What an emotional love story and what another awesome book by D M Earl. This book was an emotion on for me. Yes I laughed and wanted to once again kick a certain person by the name of Katie in the butt for what she did. And yes I did some major ugly cry with this book. Fern is a fighter and I hope and pray that everyone who either had a love one with cancer or had cancer can fight it too. Thanks D M for writing this awesome book. This is one that I will need to add to my shelf

This book blew me out of the water. Literally. It's an emotional read. Third book in the series, but is a stand alone. I was on the edge of my sit waiting for the ball to drop. I cried. I fell in love with the characters. Fern and Doc (both main characters in this book) are going through so much. But, always stay positive or try to during everything.

No spoilers.

I wanted to like this so much. And, don't get me wrong, the story had amazing potential. I really enjoyed the story. However, there were so many grammar and spelling errors that I was gritting my teeth just to get through it. It was painful. It has improved since earlier books in the series but it's still difficult to read.

Amazing

Once again I was taken on one heck of an emotional roller coaster ride. I laughed, I cried. The love Fern and Gabriel have for one another is felt through this entire book. Seeing Cadence and the man he is today and women Trinity has become warmed my heart. Baby Hope has touched these 4 in ways no one will ever understand. I can't wait to see what happens next!

Wow, this book had me on my toes and hoping for good news. I couldn't put book down once started.

I loved Gabriel and Fern together, they already married in this book. But I loved how they both supported each other through the hard times. I loved that Gabriel wouldn't give up on Fern and was always there for her.

I loved all the characters being there for these two.

I can't wait for more.

Gabriel "Doc" Murphy has been in love with his wife Fern since they were in high school. He has always protected her from the bullies back then but now he finds himself hopeless as Fern faces her biggest battle ever - cancer.

As Fern has the fight of her life they receive a gift from Trinity and Hope that may give Fern a fighting chance. But will Fern have a chance?

As Fern and Gabriel concentrate on Fern's fight everyone else must continue to provide them the strength they need and do whatever they can for them but will it be enough?

This was a great book on never giving up the fight and believing that you can overcome any obstacle.

I truly admired the love between Gabriel and Fern and knew how much they both meant to the other. It was scary watching Gabriel fall apart and then face his own issues while trying to eb there for Fern. I truly loved how the book really showed the emotions of the characters and let them fall apart as they would in real life.

In this book I also love the emphasis on family and that it isn't made up of your DNA but those you choose to be your family and that those are the people who will be there for you through thick and thin. All the people from Wheels & Hogs came together for Fern and Gabriel in amazing ways and I loved it!

The book shows us that miracles can happen and through some of the darkest times can bring us our biggest joys.

I truly hope that the author can give us a book on Wolf!!
