If you’ve come to this book hoping for the next great American novel, you’ll be sorely disappointed. Instead you’ll find a humbly constructed story of one broken woman’s attempts at love and perseverance, with nuggets of hope and inspiration along the way. This book is written in a quick and easy format that is perfect for the younger reader.
Be kind. This book is for charity, not the Pulitzer.
I purchased this book based on the interesting title and the cute cover. little did I realized the book is an autobiography about Gigi and her struggle through having cancer and quite a few bad days. The story is quite relatable I know several people that have had breast cancer and I think her outlook is inspiring to women. and I can personally relate to the bad dating situations and how weird most men really are. the only downside to the book was the chapter seemed a little disjointed they didn't flow quite as well as I would have liked. we were so focused on breast cancer and out of nowhere it jumps to a bad date and relationship I wish the transition has been a little bit smoother. Overall I think this is a great book for women to read it truly is an inspiration.
Finally found a book that gave a look to the aftermath. Sorry you went through your experience alone but at least you wasn't disappointed by your significant others response. Hope life treats you kind
3.5 stars - an interesting look into the life of a 29yo who has breast cancer. It reads like blog posts, rather than a novel, but it was entertaining & honest.
