Iris was tired of being the spinster in her town, she wanted to find someone to spend her life with and free herself from living under her controlling parents.
Malcolm was tired of being alone and decides to respond to an interesting letter that requested eligible men to write letters to women in a town called Weston. He decided to not scare away any women by telling them the full truth of himself, but when he begins to write letters to Iris, all he wanted to do was tell her the truth about who he was.
Now the two of them are trapped in a web of lies, a family who disapproves of Malcolm and forbids Iris to ever meet him again.
Will Iris be able to find happiness in a man she hardly knows? Will Malcolm finally come clean about his dark past and shady present in order to secure a bright future with the woman he has fallen in love with?
I got this book for free, and afterwards I looked up the author on Goodreads.com. I was happy to see she had so many books out, until I saw that not one of them had rated more than three stars. The book needs nothing as much as a hard edit.
Sorry, I don usually give bad reviews, but I dislike stories like this were there is no happy ending. Did you really need to make him an outlaw? I don't even want to read the rest of the stories in this book.
