Wake: A Teddy Dormer Novel
Upon his arrival in the idyllic coastal town of Scarborough Hill, Teddy is afforded only a brief night of rest before he receives a prophetic dream of nightmarish intent.
All his life, Teddy has endured the dreams of others against his will. Without them, he is unable to sleep. Therefore, whereas most people would dismiss such a vision, Teddy knows the dream for what it is: a promise of violence that will rock the town to its core.
Armed with the knowledge that atrocities will soon be committed, Teddy sets out, but the forces aligned against him are far worse and more powerful than he initially realizes. *Wake: A Teddy Dormer Novel* is a fantastic follow-up that delivers everything I was hoping for. Michael David Anderson keeps the suspense high while continuing to develop Teddy into a character I genuinely cared about. The mystery is cleverly woven together with plenty of unexpected twists, making it difficult to put the book down. The pacing is excellent, and each revelation kept me invested until the final pages. If you enjoy smart, character-driven thrillers with strong emotional stakes, this is a series I highly recommend.

WAKE follows the book's predecessor, TEDDY. But don't confuse this for your run-of-the-mill sequel. Although WAKE picks up instantly where TEDDY left off, you are quickly catapulted with Teddy Dormer as he is faced with new events but...it's worse. It's worse than before. It's worse than you can even imagine!
Action-packed and fast moving from the start... You will NOT want to put this book down! Your head will spin, you will be haunted, and you will constantly ask yourself "what the (bleep) is going on?!" If you enjoy predictable plots, "I saw that coming" moments...please, move along. This book is not for the weak stomach or of shallow imagination either.
Buy it, read it! I promise, you will NOT be disappointed!
Sequel note: Although WAKE can much stand alone - and it does - I would highly recommend reading TEDDY first. While it isn't so much necessary in order to follow the conundrum(s) Teddy finds himself in with WAKE it can help understand some things...a lot of things, really.
