SORRY
ALEX
I spent years in a marriage where love faded,
or maybe never even existed.
Where love should have been there were cruel words,
criticism, and the quiet ache of never feeling like enough.
SAM
I am familiar with pain.
The kind of pain that leaves scars on my body
and fear in my heart.
I am trapped in a relationship where love has been
replaced with fists and violence.
Two men two different kinds of suffering.
Both of them longing for acceptance, gentle touches and love.
Can Alex & Sam help each other heal?
Will the past come knocking on their door?
This is an emotional and spicy M/M romance about
trauma, healing and finding hope. Contains very dark subjects and scenes.

September 27, 2026I received an advanced copy from GRR in exchange for an honest review.
Unfortunately the second ARC in a row that I’m DNFing. Really disappointing because I thought I would enjoy this one based on the blurb. I was overdue for a really good hurt/comfort, sob at midnight kind of read. The story might have had that. In fact, I’d wager that, based on the 4-and-5 star reviews, it does have this. My problem was that I couldn’t get past the writing.
The author stated in a note that English is their second language, and while I applaud them for being brave and writing a book in their second language, I struggled with the quality of writing. I won’t pretend to be a perfect writer myself, but the abundance of errors was more than I could ignore. I can look past some mistakes, especially given that they’re ESL and an indie author, but there were just too many errors for my personal taste. I kept losing focus and every choppy sentence or odd phrasing pulled me out of the story.
For readers that can look past that and focus on the story and the characters itself, I think they’ll find a lot more to enjoy about the story. I think there’s a lot of great bones here, but some more beta readers and editing would be needed before I would feel comfortable giving this a second try.

I absolutely loved this book. Such a breathe of fresh air. An awesome debut. This book follows Sam, who is a victim of domestic violence from a pure cunt of a man, Kyle. Sam finally gets away and meets Alex....the big, burly construction worker who he never thought he needed. Sam is such a twink.....and also a top ;). Size difference....found family....all the goodies here. So proud of this author for writing a book out of her native language. I was exceptionally pleased at how well she did. Keep writing and keeping us engaged with your Serbian roots. Oh yeah....Sam is also Serbian and loves to cook. This book was so damn cute!!!!

I received a copy of this book from Gay Romance Reviews, and this is my honest review.
Great debut novel from D. Lilith.
This has been a really heartbreaking and sweet reading. In my opinion, one of the author's fortés is giving the characters a voice that translates perfectly their sensations, feelings and inner monologues without overexplaining. They say "show, don't tell" is one of the best tools in narrative, and she does it so well. As a reader, you can understand really well where the character is at and it all sounds natural.
Speaking of natural, all the relationships and character developement are so real and organic. The 2 MMCs have trauma and it shows, you can see it in big moments and in the little things too, and the progression and healing feel how it should be in a safe environment.
I loved the main characters. They are really good people, considerate, resilient and caring, and you can't help falling in love with them and root dor them to have a good life. The side characters are fantastic too. side characters. There is a very sad moment involving a side character (and again, the grief and Sam's feelings were so well written), but this character's time in the book was priceless, and they add crucial elements to the plot, even after they aren't there anymore.
Jake and Matt are the best friends one can imagine for the 2 MMCs. They are fun and loyal and such kind hearted people. The definition of a "found family", and our boys were in great need of that, so "Make" are truly a blessing. And they were SO fun to read (looking at my clock, waiting for their own book because girl, I NEED them together, and by their dynamic, I think their book could be so fun and sweet and heartbreaking maybe?) And they helped Sam to recover on their own way. I think thanks to Matt and Jake, Sam was able to feel safe and bring part of himself to life again, someone playful and less shy. It was lovely to see it.
The intimacy and 🌶 is both hot and beautiful, and the progression makes total sense for the characters and their journey, both as a coulple and individuals.
This book made me suffer a lot of times. There is violence, cruelty and a deep, deep despair. Evidently, all the scenes before Sam leaves Ky, and all of Alex's relastionship with Tess too, on another level. I loved that he was a loyal man despite the horrible reality of his marriage. I also love that Alex is not just "gay for Sam" but that he noticed he maybe was into men before meeting Sam for the 1st time. With they both being in need for love and touch starved, I think it was important to establish that Alex was attracted to men or it could have left me with a bit of an unsettling sensation, like he was needy and attached himself to the 1st person he meets that is not awful.
But I suffered too with the shadow of Ky. When is he returning? He is going to appear again, isn't he? What will he do? It was like tension building and building, anxiety mounting and creeping everywhere, and I just COULDN'T wait anymore and was like "PLEASE KY COME AND DO YOUR AWFUL HORRIBLE THING SO WE CAN BE OVER IT BECAUSE THE UNCERTAINTY IS KILLING ME!".
All in all, I think this was a great reading. It was entertaining, profound, sweet and with just the right amount of suffering. It is a great first book from.the autjor and I can't wait to see what else she has in store for us readers.
I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to read about a sweet pure love but is not afraid of reading hard scenes, and I encourage to everyone who wants to read it to check the trigger warnings first.

This book just tickled everything for me and that’s what I love when reading a romance.
It has so many emotional elements. I laughed. I felt angry. My insides turned to mush. I felt emotional, and I felt warm and spicy at times.
This is written in dual POV, featuring Sam & Alex.
We open with Sam.
Sam lives with his partner/boyfriend - Kyle.
Sam is timid, fragile, lonely anxious. I don’t want to delve into too much detail due to spoiler territory but, I hate Kyle, and for very good reasons which get revealed in the first part of the story. This relationship sucks.
I loved Sam so much, even I as the reader felt protective of him. I just want to wrap him up in a tight hug and never let go.
I felt so many emotions regarding their relationship dynamic that I messaged the Author saying ‘I hope Kyle gets run over’. So I hope that puts into persective how much I despised him.
Moving onto Alex - who’s been married to his wife for eleven years. Again another shitty relationship dynamic, his wife disappearing for days sometimes. Despite their marriage not being a happy one, I love that Alex finds happiness with his ‘crew’ - his best friends Jake and Matt.
Moving deeper into the story, relationships change and Sam & Alex bump cross paths. Due to a bittersweet event, they become closer.
Again i’m keeping details to a minimum.
It felt completely natural. Both Sam and Alex had experienced such negativity that finding comfort in each other was bound to happen. What I loved even more was seeing Sam a part of ‘The Crew’.
Sam comes out of his shell more, and Alex goes through a little journey of self discovery that had me glued to the pages. When they fully merge together as one, I became super giddy. My heart fluttering all the time. I enjoyed their journeys in fully opening themselves up and letting the other in.
The rest of the story was addictive.
That was until something happened towards the end which nearly knocked the life from me. I’d been somewhat expecting it, but it was written perfectly. I’m glad of the outcome!
Special mentions have to go to Baka Mila. I have no idea why her character reminded me so much of the Grandmother from ‘Coco’, but she did. I believe it was the tough yet loving and caring personality.
I also need to shout out about Jake and Matt. I hope you love those guys as much as I did. I need to learn more about them!
4.5 stars!

This book is addictive; it truly touches you emotionally and finds a special place in your heart.
It brings moments that make you cry and moments that make you giggle.
The journey the main characters undertake—leaving their pasts behind, healing, being truly seen, and ultimately finding each other—is incredibly inspiring.
I devoured every word D. Lilith wrote.
This book is written with such passion, and for a debut novel... it suggests there is so much more to come; I can't wait for D. Lilith's next book.
💞Thank you to the Author and GRR for the opportunity to read and review this ARC💖

---SUMMARY:
Sam has suffered at the hands of his boyfriend, who was also his former English teacher. Sam has lost everything: his family except for his beloved grandmother he rarely sees anymore, his freedom, and his sense of both safety and self worth. All he has is his job as a baker and some online friends he connects with while baking at work.
Alex is a hard-working contractor who married a woman who thought she was better than him, and let him know it. They argued constantly, mostly about how Alex wasn’t good enough, driven enough, or sophisticated enough. And she cheated on him for years.
When Sam visits his grandmother one day, he bumps into Alex who lives next door. Sam isn't allowed to interact with men, or his "boyfriend" will harm him, so he is terrified. Alex hasn’t ever been attracted to guys before, but he can’t get Sam’s sad eyes and frightened expression out of his head.
When circumstance brings Sam back to town and Alex has a chance to help him, what might develop?
Can Sam escape his abusive boyfriend?
Will Alex explore the new “gay” feelings he is having for this small, sweet, sad guy?
---REVIEW:
I was so upset for Sam as I was reading the start of the book. It is hard to read about SA and DV, knowing how many people live that reality every day. I was instantly protective of Sam and wanted him to get out of danger. Attentive and affectionate Alex, who had never even noticed an attraction to guys before, was also instantly protective of Sam.
Circumstance brought them together, and I kept rooting for them through the whole book. But I had a sense of anxiety, too, because Sam’s boyfriend was still out there in the world.
This is the debut novel by D. Lilith, and she is a Serbian woman, writing in English, which is not her native language. It was so impressive to me that she was able to write an entire novel in her second language and have it translate so well emotionally.
While any book with SA and DV will be a tough read, there is a happily ever after for our characters, and it is hard-earned. I adored this book and I think you will, too.
Check your triggers: the boyfriend is a sxxua!!y v!olént alcoholic who causes physical and emotional harm on the page.

Thank you to the author for this ARC.
I was so excited to start this book.
From the first page this book grabs you.
ALEX is so sweet. He really is just a big teddy bear. I want one of his infamous hugs.
Sam has been through alot but did not lose his light and passion. I wish I could have him cook for me.
In "Sorry" Sam and Alex find each other at a very hard time for both of them.
They comfort each other in a very healing way. This book had alot of sweet moments; however, there are also some darker parts. Sam and Alex have trauma from their last partners. Please check your trigger warnings.
Overall, I fell in love with everything about this book. Everything about the characters flowed so organically. The book is just so real and raw. You will laugh, cry so hard you can't read clearly, and you may wanna hurt a few characters. This book does have a happy ending. So, if you want a tragically sweet MM Romance that is very realistic and relatable, I recommend you check this out. This was the author's debut, and she hit it out of the park for me!

SORRY~ by D. Lilith
This review has been one of the hardest I’ve ever had to write—not because I didn’t love the book, but because I loved it so much that I wanted to find exactly the right words. How do you put into a review what it feels like to watch someone you care about pour their heart, soul, tears, and countless hours into a story? How do you do justice to characters who feel so real they’ve taken up permanent residence in your heart? 💗
Some books entertain you. Some books stay with you. And then there are books like Sorry.
I don’t even know where to begin with Sam and Alex. These two completely stole my heart. Their journey isn’t easy, and it’s not always pretty, but it’s real, emotional, frustrating, beautiful, and so incredibly worth it. I found myself laughing one minute, tearing up the next (the author knows all about this),and desperately rooting for them through it all.
Sam broke my heart in so many ways. Watching him navigate his past, his fears, and his own self-worth was emotional and powerful. And Alex? Sweet, patient, protective Alex. Beneath that big, intimidating exterior is the world’s biggest teddy bear, and I fell in love with him a little more with every chapter.
What I loved most about this story was how authentic it felt. The emotions hit hard because they felt real. The struggles felt real. The healing felt earned. D. Lilith didn’t just write a MM romance—she wrote a story about learning to trust again, learning to heal, and finding someone who loves you exactly as you are.
And the banter and spice? Perfectly balanced. Sam and Alex’s chemistry is undeniable, adding even more depth and heat to their connection.
No spoilers because everyone deserves to experience Sam and Alex’s story for themselves, but trust me when I say this book will take you on a journey. You’ll feel every high, every low, and every hard-fought victory right alongside them.
As someone who had the privilege of beta reading Sorry, watching this story grow from early pages into this finished book has been such a special experience. Seeing my friend pour her heart and soul into these characters and this story has been incredible, and I couldn’t be prouder.
Congratulations on your debut novel, D. Lilith. Your boys have my whole heart, and I can’t wait for everyone else to meet them and fall in love with them like I did.
I’m also looking forward to reading more about Matt and Jake 😉.

Wow,in the rewiews,it looked perfect, but when I started reading it,it was awful and totally not interesting at all.I can understant that english it is not first language, but where is the punctuation??And really I did not care about anyone in this story! Not even about the victim anymore, and that is alarming in this book!

I recieved an ARC for this book and all thoughts are my own.
Firstly can I say considering the author has stated English is not her first language she did good!!
Ok so review time. This is a trauma led book, but, it’s not traumatic. When you meet Sam and Alex you learn what they are living with. Sam an abusive partner, yes there is abuse on the page but she does it so well that it didn’t trigger me. And Alex is living with a wife who treats him like garbage.
They “run” into each other and can’t seem to get the other off their minds.
Now, upsetting events happen, but again it is written in a way that is gentle. Sam looses someone close and manages to escape his abusive partner. Alex ends up single because his wife is a b****. They are pushed together and that is where the beauty unfolds.
This book is written softly, the trauma is there but the words used and the way it is written did not leave me feeling uncomfortable. I loved being along for their healing journey. To begin with I thought more needed to be done to help them heal, therapy is normally always the outcome. but then something did happen, and what better ending for them both.
I loved it, absolutely loved it. The broken English was fine as we are aware one of the characters is from a Serbian family anyway so it didn’t take away from the story. Sometimes emotions do get lost in translation but I did not feel that at all reading this.
“Thank you Alex, you are a good egg.” Come on!! That’s when you know they get it right. I don’t mean to sound like one of “them” people, but I have read books written by people who don’t speak English as a first language and it has been tricky to grasp, nothing wrong with that. But I did not get that throughout this book.
It was beautiful, emotive and thoughtful. Such a great hurt/comfort without it getting too deep. Perfect for me as I loved the softness of it.
I could go on and on and on, but I won’t. I will be recommending this to anyone who loves a trauma based story.

(4.5 ⭐️s!!)
There is so much I could say about this book…truly. From the very first chapter (or even the prologue honestly), I was feeling such deep emotions. Our poor Sam was truly dealt such a terrible hand, and forced to go through things no one could ever deserve. I found myself rooting for his safety and happiness immediately. (Also, why is it always a KYLE that I want absolutely throttle?)
Then we had Alex, who was dealt a different kind of terrible hand, and going through altogether different painful situation. I could tell that this lovable “teddy bear” deserved better from the get go as well!!
The journey that these two broken boys go through? Both by starting their healing journey themselves and continuing them together? Absolutely beautiful. I cried, I laughed, and I absolutely raged right along with both Sam and Alex. I also grew attached to “Make” and look forward to their book!
The bi-awakening found in this book was absolutely adorable. While there was the understandable confusion, there was no self doubt or deprecation, which made me so happy. We love a man secure enough to just accept his newfound sexuality rather than tear himself down in doubt of it!!
I loved these two’s love story and their spice when they finally go to it was so sweet! I gave it a 3/5 on the spice scale!
Finally, I feel like it is important to not why I didn’t give this book 5⭐️s. The writing itself, is good. The plot is fantastic and well thought out. But, the dialogue felt almost clinical sometimes in its format, and there are quite a few typos that I found. Mind you, the authors first language is not English, so grace is deserved and I give D. Lilith props for the fantastic job she did do! I just did find it a little hard at times to meld into the story, due to these things. Thus my honest 4.5⭐️s. Without these things, it is undoubtedly a 5⭐️ book.
These things however, did not stop me from absolutely adoring this book and these characters. “Sorry” is without a doubt, worth the read!!!

Oh, this book absolutely broke my heart. 💔
Alex and Sam are two men who have been through completely different kinds of hell, but somehow their pain makes them understand each other in a way nobody else ever has. Alex has spent years in a marriage where he’s been worn down by cruel words, constant criticism, and the feeling that he will never be good enough. Sam’s pain is even more terrifying, trapped in an abusive relationship where love has been replaced by violence and fear.
And then these two men find each other. 🥺
What I loved most about Alex and Sam was how their relationship wasn’t just about attraction. It was about feeling safe. About discovering what gentleness actually feels like after spending so long expecting pain. There’s something incredibly emotional about watching them slowly learn that they deserve kindness, affection, patience, and someone who will actually see them for who they are.
Alex especially broke my heart. You can feel how much the years of emotional abuse have affected the way he sees himself, and watching him begin to understand that he deserves so much more was beautiful. And Sam… my poor Sam. 💔 His experiences have left such deep scars, both physically and emotionally, and I just wanted to wrap him up and protect him.
Alex and Sam deserved their chance at happiness, and watching them find it together had me emotionally invested from beginning to end. ❤️

3.5/5 stars
I want desperately to rave about this book from a first time author because there are many parts of the story to adore. Alex and Sam are both wounded, sweet muffins who desperately need someone to love them as they are. It's emotional and moving at various points, which as a reader I always enjoy.
Their budding connection is adorable and easy to love, especially since Alex is new to so much and so infatuated with Sam. Even though Alex is a huge man, he is so soft and patient with Sam who has recently escaped an abusive situation.
Alex's friends, Jake and Matt, are funny and unendingly supportive. They added richness to the story.
Be sure to check the TWs as grape as well as other forms of violence are on-page.
I also loved the Serbian culture that makes up a large part of the story - from the language and culture to the endless food (which plays a significant role in the plot and character arc for one of the MMCs).
Where I struggled with the book was with some of the writing. The dialog is stiff and unrealistic at many points, inconsistent verb tenses pulled me out of the experience... I wanted to love the book, however I kept finding myself pausing or stumbling over certain phrasing or odd punctuation and so my immersion in the story never quite went as deep as I'd hoped.
Still, I really enjoyed Alex and Sam's relationship and the healing they offered each other. There's a lot of sweetness to be found within these pages.

It’s been days since I read this and I still can’t find the words to describe how this book made me feel.

You know when a book is just too well written and the plot is so good that everything feels perfect no matter how much the book hurts you? Yeah… this was THAT book.
Alex has some serious abandonment issues and Sam’s spark has been completely snuffed out( I HATE YOU KYLE ). They’re both in relationships that don’t serve them but fate brings them together in a way I honestly wasn’t prepared for.
These two emotionally bonded in the most beautiful way and I loved watching their connection grow🥹.
And then… everything happens. Somehow through all the pain and heartbreak we eventually get our happily ever after.
I cried SO hard reading this, especially CHAPTER 57.

This book had everything I needed and I’m genuinely still thinking about it days later.
I can’t wait to read more from this author because if this is what they’re capable of… I NEED MORE. 🥺🌸

Omg after just reading a bunch of light Fluffy Rom-com then this being my next read the Complete polar Opposite .Sam & Alex Both Survivors Both Vulnerable Alex having Abandonment Issues ,Sam Being a DV+ Survivor ,Alec Had to survive his Wife for so long and she is NOT nice Plus her making him feel like he wasn't enough he was a very relatable Character . He just wanted affection i wanted to climb inside the book and hug him .I loved the Serbian Heritage and cultural Food in the book and gosh did the first few chapters make me want to climb into the book and rescue Sam and protect him .Alex YOUR ex Wife is a B***h .Her lack of compassion angered me .I feel due to how well written this book is that it had us feeling what these 2 characters felt the Story was although Heart-breaking and Traumatic at times but also full of Love found Family, Friendship and Light .I was so invested in Sam and Alex and now i am wondering is there going to be a WAKE ;) Great story ,great pacing and ill be keeping an eye out on D.Liliths Futre Works -Support your Indie Authors and Check those Trigger Warnings with this book Definitely check them . I WOULD 100% Recommend this book and will be buying the Paperback. Thanks @gayromancereviews for the Arc copy & D.Lilith <3

This book, I could not put It down I read it in less than a day.
I loved that it was short chapters, well apart from that one chapter near the end 😭. But the prologue and first chapter broke my heart, poor poor Sam.
I went through so many emotions while reading it- anger, sadness, happiness and laughter.
Two broken boys, both in abusive relationships (different types of abuse) and both thinking they deserved it.
A Twink who is also the top and a big cuddly teddy bear.
Due to the relationships neither thought they were good enough for anyone, let alone each other.
Alex has a Bi-Awakening, Sam moves to the same town as him and boom, sparks fly almost instantly.
It was beautiful to watch their relationship develop and I o watch them help the other to heal. Alex was just the best, so patient, sweet and caring towards Sam, he never rushed him, he never pushed him, he just waited.
A very satisfying conclusion which if you've read it you'll know what I'm referring to.
I'm very interested in Jake and Matt or 'Make' , there's definitely more going on there.
I cannot wait to read more from this author.

Was any editing done? No! It shows!
So Sam says he was born in 1999. It’s 2026. So that would make him 27. However, he says he’s 21. That math isn’t mathing! Unless the book is supposed to be set in 2020!
Also in one of Alex’s earlier povs he says he is 30 years old. Then a few chapters later he says he’s in his early 30s. Still same timeline. Then on page 112 he’s back to 30. So none of this is making sense!
Everything was way too overly explained. Like where the rooms are in a house, how you get to said rooms, and their full descriptions.
Pup?! Nope!
And it’s literally all told to us in past tense and inner dialogue. I can’t. The writing is horrible!

ARC REVIEW!
This book is a heartbreaking, emotional journey filled with love, pain, and the kind of heartbreak that stays with you long after the last page. The raw emotions, the hurt, and the struggle to hold on to love when everything feels broken make this story truly unforgettable. It’s a beautiful, painful reminder that love can be both the most incredible feeling and the most devastating one. A story that breaks your heart while reminding you why love is worth fighting for. 💔❤️

Absolutely loved this book!
Alex was so sweet and caring. His wife treated him so bad emotionally.
Sam is such a sweetheart. His boyfriend physically and mentally abuse him.
But they found each other and knowing what it was like became each other's person. So much that they had to over come. It was truly a great book. Maybe Matt and Jake will get their story too...

Wow… Sam and Alexis man… what can I say about this two! They were just amazing my heart went out with this two. Their life was not an easy one, always being put down from the people that were supposed to love you. They hit me hard for all this two went through but I’m glad that they found each other’s and they came to learn how real love is supposed to be.

I really enjoyed Sam and Alex! I loved their story so much, and I hope to see more from this author. I will say that this was an ARC, and the author’s first language is not English, so I did not take into consideration any typos or grammatical errors in my review. I did, however, struggle a bit with the dialogue. At times it seemed so formal, and didn’t flow like one would expect from 20-30 year olds. Maybe this will be tweaked in the final version, in which case I will adjust my rating.

I want to thank the author and Gay Romance Reviews for the opportunity to read an advance copy of this novel.
SORRY is the story of two men trapped in toxic relationships: Alex’s is cold and marked by distance, while Sam’s is soaked in alcohol and violence, and they find each other at the worst points of their lives. Can they overcome their individual trauma and find a future together?
I want to start by saying there are a lot of excellent pieces here. D. Lilith has a great approach to writing trauma. While the early scenes with Sam’s boyfriend are hard, nothing ever felt gratuitous. The book balances helping the reader understand Sam’s situation without ever feeling like the author is dragging it out.
The book has a lot of interesting characters, and I was curious to learn more about them. For example, Alex’s two best friends from the construction crew are fun side characters, and their interactions show that Alex is loved by his friends, even if they are goofballs.
So why the DNF? I found myself highlighting and noting paragraph after paragraph of info dumps and dialogue that was just blocks of exposition. In many places, instead of giving us insight into how the characters felt or how they interacted with the world around them, we got direct summary chunks. “We did X. Then we did Y. Next we did Z.”
This isn’t uncommon in a debut novel, which is why I read through page 100, but I found it was taking away from my interest in the characters and their story. There were also places where the writing/phrasing felt awkward. While the author is very upfront that English is not her first language, these moments didn’t feel like second-language awkwardness, but more like bumps in the writing.
That being said, D. Lilith is clearly talented, and I would definitely be willing to read their next book!

Thank you to the wonderful D.Lilith for allowing me to beta read this incredible book and truly, what a book this is!
This review is slightly different than usual, this is an "in real time" thought process while reading this book so.. possible spoilers ahead!
What a powerful opening, really sets the bar for what an emotional journey this book is about to be. I absolutely love that the Serbian is accented in the book, it gives it such an authentic feel. Honestly what an emotional rollercoaster. I love the instant connection Sam makes with Alex Matt and Jake, and that he finally seems to have genuine and kind people around him. It's so sad Alex feels like he isn't allowed to be attracted to anyone after so long is a loveless marriage. I LOVE the shipping of "make" it had me questioning their relationship. I actually love that it's Sam teaching Alex. They are so sweet to each other! Alex as a bottom is amazing and not what people would have expected. Getting down to business while Matt and Jake are right there is WILD. Matt & Jake must be getting it on for sureeeee. I love Sam & Alex finding confidence in each other. I'm so glad Sam told Alex about his past with Kyle. No! why did Sam say that on LIVE!!! I'm scared! I love that Alex went to "meet" his family and was so kind and respectful about it. AH NO! I knew it I knew he shouldn't have said it on live, so many emotions, lots of crying. Ugh, I'm so happy it ended as it did. These two characters deserve so much love and kindness and its so good they finally have that with each other. Immensely Impressive that this is a debut novel, are you kidding me? You can tell that so much care and passion has gone into this writing, I absolutely LOVED this book.

This book is easy to fall in love with! 🥹
We follow Sam and Alex as they try to escape unwanted relationships and find a little happiness, safety, and refuge from the absolute dumpster fires they’ve been living in. There are some really hard moments for Sam and Alex, and trust me, I was READY to throw hands more than once, but watching them find their way out of situations that made them miserable and toward the happiness they deserved? The payoff on the other side tasted SO much sweeter.
And when I tell you this book will have you going through it... You're gonna laugh, cry, yell at your Kindle and probably want to throw hands. I warned ya!
NOW LET’S TALK ABOUT THE DESPERATION! Because my WORD. There’s this delicious sense of urgency between them that had me absolutely devouring the pages. The romantic tension is SO good, and when things finally start heating up, you are rewarded for your patience.

"Sorry" by D. Lilith is heartbreakingly beautiful. It dives into heavy topics as a Dark MM Romance. So, remember to read the trigger warnings.
Sam's and Alex's story had me crying one minute and kicking my feet, giggling the next. It was very healing to see their journey from fighting battles they felt no one else could see to trying to find the happiness they desperately deserve.
D. Lilith's words wrap around you like a warm blanket. You can't help but fall in love with both Sam and Alex. I devoured each word just as Alex devours...Sam's delicious cooking. What? Get your mind out of the gutter 😏

Thank god for BookTok!
It’s the first “review” I write. Like many I’ve started my MM book marathon this year and we all know why, since then I’ve read 50 books and none of them made me mushy like this one. It’s the easiest read, the pain and happiness so well translated into words for us to digest without bells and whistles or filer words. The characters all so interesting and they grow in each page, none of the tornado that keeps going round and round.
Finished it in one sitting and time just flew by. Just beware of chapter 57 😪 what a heart attack. Cannot wait for the next one!

My sweet boys Alex and Sam, I loved everything about this book, the plot was amazing, the spice was spicy, it was dark but not too dark, had some humour because Alex is a funny guy. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry, you’ll scream at side characters who are just the worst (Kyle and tess I’m looking at you) there’s karma for certain characters and there’s also side characters who are the embodiment of kindness that makes you wanna squish them! Adored every second I read 🫶🏻
