Los países de Westalis y Ostania libran desde hace años una guerra fría donde el espionaje y los asesinatos son moneda corriente. Es por eso que bajo la identidad del psiquiatra Loid Forger, Twilight reclutará a Yor Briar, una civil ostaniana que quiere tener bajo perfil, y Anya, una huerfanita que sólo busca una familia cariñosa, para hacer las partes de esposa e hija respectivamente. Pero resulta que este par tampoco es nada normal, especialmente si tenemos en cuenta que Yor es una asesina profesional buscada por ambos bandos y Anya es una prófuga de un laboratorio secreto donde consiguió poderes telepáticos.

Characters, perfect

DAMN endo was cooking with this vol.

Fans said theirs, no plot and its all filler...and endo was like "here u friking go"

(btw the reason it took so long 2 read is cuz the chpts release bi-weekly, and there was a LOT of delays lolol)

I loved this one. Yor and Loid date was so much fun. Drunk Yor is very funny, and these two are a pair of idiots. Confess already and move on!
I'm very much interested in the "grandpa". I think we're going to learn very interesting things soon.
I loved that the kids were the ones saving Mr. Henderson reputation, and I'm looking forward to learning more about Ms. Schlag, first impressions can be deceiving after all.

Y un buen día mi serie de manga favorita reapareció en la librería. No me tomó más de cinco minutos comprar el volumen.

A grandes rasgos lo podemos dividir en tres partes:

Yor finalmente confiesa que ha empezado a enamorarse de Loid. No es poca cosa, y obviamente es algo que los lectores vienen anticipando hace rato. Hay que ver si Loid, con lo denso que es a veces, toma mucho tiempo en percatarse.

Segundo, descubrimos que el simpático vecino anciano de los Forger era nada más y nada menos que un ex-asesor del gobierno que parece conocer el origen de Anya. La gran zanahoria que el autor nos viene poniendo delante de la nariz hace mucho tiempo. Pero por su senilidad, el mismo profesor tiene raptos de amnesia. Veremos si el recuerdo regresa (probablemente en el tiempo más inoportuno).

Y tercero, el resto del volumen trata de una trama de corrupción y fraude en el colegio Eden. Irónicamente, es la parte más realista del volumen. No sorprende que el ingreso en una institución prestigiosa de la élite en realidad esté arreglado. Se ve que el autor se inspiró en el mundo real...

Ahora, toca esperar no sé cuánto tiempo para el próximo volumen, snif...

Otro volumen que en realidad me leí en emisión pero que por fin goodreads ha publicado.

SIRVIENDO MIGAJAS DE ROMANCE ENTRE YOR Y LOID EN ESTE VOLUMEN. Además de eso, a mí personalmente lo de los vecinos me impactó, no lo vi venir pero ya quiero que den más contexto.

Me gusta mucho la amistad de Melinda y Yor, tengo fe en que sea una amistad sincera.

Anya cuando es lista lo es, y en este volumen lo ha sido con el tema del profesor. Lo de la casa encantada diría que es lo que menos me gustó del volumen pero aun así estuvo bien

I have been reading the Spy X Family chapters as they come out, and I have really enjoyed them. They have become a bright spot in my life. I enjoy coming back into this family’s lives and seeing what they are going to get into next.

I am going to try to keep my review as spoiler-free as possible, but since this is the seventeenth volume in a series, there may be spoilers for earlier volumes.

Unable to hold back her overwhelming emotions, Yor finally approaches Loid and unexpectedly goes on a date with him. The experience leads her to reflect on her true feelings and what he means to her. At the same time, Melinda’s notebook uncovers a surprising link between Donovan and an unexpected individual, hinting at deeper connections behind the scenes.

This instalment really reminded me why I enjoy this story so much. I especially like following Yor and Loid’s relationship. It started as a simple marriage of convenience, something they both needed for their own reasons, but it’s slowly turning into something more real. Watching Yor wrestle with her feelings and try to understand them makes everything feel more honest and meaningful.

There’s still plenty of action and fun throughout, which keeps things exciting, but those aren’t the moments that stick with me the most. The heart of the story is in the quiet family scenes with Loid, Yor, and Anya. Whether they are just spending time together or getting caught up in something chaotic, those moments feel warm and genuine.

That balance is what makes this story work so well. It brings together humour, action, and emotion without losing sight of what matters most. At its core, it’s about a family that started as something fake and slowly became something real, and that is what keeps me invested.

En este volumen pasaron muchas cosas! Y todas me encantaron.

Yor le pide una cita a Loid para volver a conseguir aquel brebaje mágico que le quita el dolor, pero termina replanteando sus sentimientos por él. Por su parte, Loid sigue queriendo saber más de Melinda Desmond y encuentra una pista que lo hace dudar de sus propios vecinos. En la escuela Eden, alguien está acusando al profesor Henderson de vender preguntas de exámen a los padres de sus alumnos, con lo que su puesto de trabajo corre peligro.

Todo suena muy serio, pero lo disfruté muchísimo.
Que la confesión de Yor sobre sus sentimientos por Loid haya sido para Anya me sirve mucho para futuras interacciones ㅋㅋㅋ. También el vínculo que está construyendo con Melinda me gusta mucho.
Pendiente de ver qué ocurre con los vecinos y qué tan involucrados están!
Ahora, todo lo que ocurrió en Eden con la vieja casa de estudios, los fantasmas, el profesor Henderson y demás... ME FASCINÓ. Fue maravilloso. Los niños y su defensa al profesor me dió una ternura inmensa.

¡Este es el volumen que más me ha gustado de estos últimos! Desde lo del problema de las guaguas buses ejem, el manga se ha ido poniendo más serio. Recuerdo haber leído en la entrevista al autor que él quería hacer una historia solo de comedia y menos mal que esto ha cambiado. Sigue teniendo ese toque cómico y podemos ver el mundo desde la perspectiva infantil de Anya, pero los temas a los que se enfrenta y los comentarios de los adultos enriquecen la historia.

¡Quiero más ya!

El panel en el que Yor le dice a Anya que le gusta Loid... SOCORRO los quiero mucho y quiero que se gusten:(((

No puede ser que Loid sea tan tonto en temas mujeres, cómo no se va a dar cuenta que su falsa esposa siente algo por él??? Aunque, tampoco se ha dado cuenta que Fiona está enamorada de él... Hombres.

¿Los vecinos saben sobre Anya, sobre el experimento del que fue parte? OMG

Anya salvando el día, cuando quiere es inteligente.
Por un momento, pensé que el autor se había olvidado de que George también había ido al viejo edificio a buscar la verdad sobre la trampa que le tendieron a Henderson.

This manga is one of the funniest slow burn romance mangas I've ever read .
It blends comedy, action and emotional story telling seamlessly.
It has lovable and layered characters and it's really entertaining .
One chapter can feature espionage and political tension, but the next revolves around funny family moments.
The dynamic and balance is outstanding.

Me gusta que Yor muestre sus sentimientos, aunque se queden prácticamente para ella misma. Pero sobre todo, me encanta su relación con Melinda. En este tomo gracias a estas dos me he reído.

Por otro lado, siempre ver a Anya en acción es agradable. Y también me ha gustado la profesora Schalag.

Eso sí, la parte de Sigmud me ha roto un poco, espero que no ponga a Anya en peligro 🥺.
